The most annoying female character is definitely Natalya from the Golden Eye game that was on N64. I hated her! She made all the missions impossible because she was too stupid to not mess it up for you. After that, Rinoa from FF VIII gets second place. She was always in need of saving and she wasn't that strong a character. I wish she had been more like Quistis... Quote: Taki from Soul Cailbur. . . I'd have to say Umah from Blood Omen 2...she's a vampire, for cryin' out loud, the only one in the entire series, and she's the friggin' damsel in distress!!! *rage rage* I think the designers put her in there to abate all the rumors about Kain being gay... "Look! A vampire chick!! Kain likes her, see? SEE?! Oh crap...they're not buying it..." *calls up to concept art* "WE NEED BIGGER BREASTS!!!!!!!!!" XD lol xd I always knew kain rolled that way You play LoK too? :3 Sweet. Yeah, I knew he rolled that way too. X3 The tension between him and Raziel alone is thick enough to cut with the Reaver. The designers in SR2 and Defiance had to be screaming "Kiss him you idiot! I don't care if he's a mangled corpse!!" xd But, uh...*cough* This isn't the thread for that. sweatdrop

I don't really hate on female characters much, because good ones are so hard to find. neutral
The 'damsel in distress' characters do bug me, but they serve their purpose. A huge chunk of any media (films, books, video games, etc.) involve that scenario &, with video game production being a largely male-dominated area at the moment, it's really no shocker that most RPGs use it. Having the pretty girl get kidnapped or put in danger moves the story along. (I'm not saying that's a good thing, but it's the state of affairs at the moment.)

Felix-Forever Taki from Soul Cailbur. Yeah, you're probably thinking "Hey! It's a guy! He should like the slutty girls from Soul Calibur," but I really, really don't need to see some of that detail on Taki.
Like many others here, I don't like the "damsels in distress" characters either. I didn't like Dagger from FFIX or Lilia from Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits.
I too was angry how they made Rikku and Yuna real slutty in X-2. x__x

Seldaara My most hated video game character is Rinoa of Final Fantasy VIII. . . stressed She's just so useless, and whiny, and always getting up in Squall's face. I hate her too!

I would have to say Lara Croft scream Her oversized breast polygons put a damper on the whole Tomb Raider series... that not it was most excellent to begin with... not my kind of thing.

Just for the sake of saying something that no one else would say. I don't like most of the female monsters that appear in rpgs. The humanoid monsters, mind you. Take harpies for example, I can't remember what game it was from, but it was the most anatomically correct harpie that I've ever seen. XD It really destracted me from my goal of saving the world! *rofl* Ok. Ok. I'm sorry about the stupid comment there, but it really did bug me.
