It isn't fair, is it? You should do something about it! Make it so everyone gets more vacation time. I know some countries have mandatory vacation time. I think I may need to move to another country!

That's a good point. And adapting to cultural differences would be even harder. I could offend people unintentionally.

Here we're starting to have a mandatory EXTRA week off in most professions.
My dad normally has around three weeks of holidays... But now he has one more week, because of the financial crisis.
At school we also had one extra week off. Because the city couldn't afford the teachers. xD
But yeah, cultural differences. D:
Here, people don't say hi to strangers.
They rarely hug anyone. And it's usually better to be quiet.

I guess times are hard all around the world. I hope the economy turns around soon. I'm getting really sick of the layoffs and reductions in hours!
Interesting to hear that where you are, Dys, people don't usually say hello to strangers and hugs are uncommon. Here I usually say hello to everyone and there is a wide variation in whether people hug or not. Personally, I'm a hugger, but not everyone is.
