Elnara nodded slowly and mulled it over in her mind.

"I think it would be nice," she admitted, "but do you think they'll come? I mean, they could be used to the life they have now ..."

Even if it was without her and Lore. It saddened her but what could she do about it?

"I don't know, but it wouldn't hurt to offer," Lore replied.

He really hoped they would, it would be really nice if they could. At that moment a waitress came back with two tea cups setting them down. They were small egg shaped cups with a soft lavander colour to them, which was fine though it was a bit odder to see purple steam coming off of them.

Between them was a plate with two sakura shaped wagashi and a bag wtih indvidually boxed wagashi set beside them.

Elnara stared at the purple steam, transfixed by the oddness of it.

"Well, I asked for exciting," she laughed, waving her fingers through it gently and watching it swirl through the air. "This ... this is beyond anything I could ever have imagined. How do they make it, I wonder?" she mused. "Does it have to be magic? Or can it be attained naturally?"

"I was going to say magical plants so probably can be attained naturally, as natural as magic plants go?" Lore offered, "There are some really rare plants that grow in only particular places."

Though he wasn't sure how Kitsune's made their tea.

"So it is possible."

"Mm, now there's a brain twister," Elnara laughed softly. "Naturally magic or magically natural. If that's even possible."

She lifted the cup to her lips and blew on it softly to cool it a bit, then inhaled the aroma slowly. It smelled ... well, sweet, to be honest. Good.

Lore watched in interest as the steam from Elnara's cup wafted his way. Until it faded out from being sent too far.

"Well some plants like people are magically inclined, as in they retain magic, it's just plants can't use it... unless you use them."

Elnara smiled, almost amused. "I see. Like the plants from Arda, but different properties. But then is it magic? Or simply plant properties that are known by apothecaries and brought to full potential by those who know how? After all, not everyone can do the same things with the same plants."

She took a sip from her tea, smiling at Lore, her eyes sparkling as if in a challenge.

Lore looked thoughtful and then replied, "Ah... but as you said, what if it takes those apothecaries to bring that plant to it's full potential. It's not to say they can't hold magic, unusual properities, it just depends on who brings those qualities out."

So there was no way to prove or disprove that very idea. Though there were plants that said even eating a leaf would help you but those came under the catagory of mythical plants.

"I suppose that's true," Elnara mused, "but still. I mean, in the Borderlands, Ulani and Ulrich have the magic water, that is everything on its own, and can't change no matter who drinks it. If the magic has to be channeled, is it true magic, or simply an imitation of it?"

She arched one eyebrow, still smiling mischievously.

"But how do you know it's not the same for plants? Tea for example is nothing more than boiling the leaves, that is the most basic form of tea. So... nothing else has been changed, no special cuts, or method to exact what is within, just boiling."

Of course assuming the tea was made that way, but Eastern teas tended to be a bit odd to have anything else in them (honey though was the exception to the rule).

"And there are stories of platns that need nothing but to be eaten."

"But tea isn't magic," Elnara pointed out, wondering if perhaps they were deviating from their original point of discussion. She paused for a moment, trying to gather her thoughts, then said, "I suppose I'm just wondering if the Kitsunes had to do anything extra to the tea to make the steam coloured, rather than it being natural."

She wondered if they would be allowed to ask.

Lore mused on it, "It could be... it might be something else."

Or it could be just another grand illusion but since it tasted nothing like a normal tea even with sugar, he might be for the two formers.

"That would be a myserty left to them."

Elnara nodded her agreement and smiled. Perhaps they had best leave it at that then, and simply enjoy their evening out. She sipped her tea again, enjoying the flavour, then reached for one of the sakura wagashi and took a small nibble.

"Delicious," she smiled warmly at Lore.

Lore smiled as he watched her nibble on the treat. He sipped his own tea letting the flavour roll around on his tongue before swallowing.

"I'm glad you like them," he chuckled before taking the other.

It had a chewy texture which was probably why he liked it, besides the fact it wasn't overly sweet.
