The floating shadow is the entrance to the chocobo air garden where it lies, if you give all the friendly monsters an item it will alter its status and the Shadowy transformer is the summon know as ark which is in thew pumice accessory which can be got by killing ozma or by defeating hades and getting him to combine 2 pumice pieces
