The birch stick on the docks had in fact been used by Chris. With all the sleeping tranquilized campers out cold on the docks he had grown rather bored. And a bored Chris was never a good thing. So he had done the next best thing he could think of and picked out a nice sturdy birch stick and started poking at the campers.

And poking...and poking. But see, them being -tranqued- and all? Yeah, the poking didn't do anything to arouse them. And after a while of amusing himself merely by poking he grew bored again. But all his poking and whining wasn't enough to arouse a single camper so the host had tossed the stick on the docks and left.

Now? ...Well now the birch stick had sailed away to come to rest on the sands surrounding the dock. Shame, really.

User ImageAfter the camper had run off, Scott wandered to the dock to see if there was anything the campers had left that needed cleaning. Nothing much there. Some campers talking who hopefully hadn't noticed him. He started to head back towards the campgrounds when his nose twitched, catching a whiff of a familiar, comforting scent. The little audio instinctively looked about for the Chris, his tail wagging slightly. "S-sir?" No answer. No lovable host. Scott's ears drooped in disappointment. But if it wasn't him..? The little audio followed the scent back to it's source...a simple stick lying on the beach. A stick that smelled like Chris! Smiling happily, the audio quickly added it to the collection in his special box.

Reza slowly started slipping out of her perfect little dream world. The sounds of water, seagulls and...well her brain couldn't really pick up on the last sound, was it a truck...a voice...maybe it was a monster. Either way Reza's brain told her it was time to get up and she couldn't really fight that order since her eyes started to blink open to meet the blue sky above. "Well this is different. I could have sworn my ceiling is white.."

Rolling over on the her paws, the teen shook the sleep from her body and started to straighten her clothes out, and then it hit like a strike to bowling ball pins. "...I'm hungry!" And with that the little Audio toddled off towards camp.

Looking around cautiously, Jay skipped onto the dock. It wasn't that large of an area, though it did fit 48 teenage campers plus one annoying host before. The bright Audio looked around for Axl, then realized she was the only one here.

Oh, man, if he bailed out on her... Huffing, Jay walked over to the far end of the dock, sitting down and letting her feet dangle over the edge. He'd come for sure. Right?

Besides, if he didn't, she could kick his a** tomorrow.

"Aye aye ay..." he muttered to himself. This was stupid. She was just a chick! The first chick he'd met here! There were lots of others! He was a rock star, he should be playing the field!

He was still berating himself when he reached the dock and saw that Jay was already there. "--Oh!" He couldn't hide the surprised note in his voice. "I hope I didn't keep you waiting long!" he said as he hurried down to where she was, all thoughts of playing the field gone.

Jay was observing the sky, which always seemed to be sporting sickly-gray clouds around here when she heard footsteps behind her. She turned quickly, having forgotten why she was there in the first place for a moment. Then she smiled as she made out Axl's bright orange streaks.

She gave him a smile and gestured for his to take a seat next to her on the dock as he rushed over. "Not long, really. I only got here a few minutes ago."

"Its nice out here at night, eh? Peaceful," he said, nodding out over the water.

Jay grinned as he sat right next to her, returning his light shove. "As nice as it can be with polluted water. But, yeah. Pretty scene." The lake reflected the dark sky and almost looked safe to swim in. Almost. That half-dead seagull that persistently floated around didn't really help.

"Yeah... Well, one can pretend, right?" He gave her a smile, taking her in again. He couldn't remember why he ever found her scary.

"Mmn..." Man, she was getting tired. Her head fell to rest on his shoulder. Hey, he owed her for all those "totally dramatic" times he stole her shoulder. "I think the best thing to do with anything in this camp is pretend. I don't think it'd be as easy pretending the oatmeal is gourmet instead of goat slop, though.."

But she really did like this island. "This whole thing, though... It's fun. You know, meeting people and stuff."

He laughed at the oatmeal statement. "True that. I did kinda like the garlic bread though..." Meeting people was definitely fun. Especially when they were as awesome as she was. "Yeah.. I like that too." The wannabe rockstar wouldn't admit it, but he didn't have too many friends at home.

Okay, so Jay's face got hot when his tail wound around her. A little too hot for her liking. Honestly, she didn't like him that much, did she? It was the second day, damnit!

She was grateful for his laughter. It kind of broke the ice there. "I wouldn't be surprised if we got horrible food for a whole week to make up for today..." Ugh. Her poor stomach!

Then she sniggered, "y'know, just about half the world's watching us right now."

He liked Jay. A lot. But did he want the whole world to know he'd fallen for a girl on his first day of camp? Faced with a dilemma now, he chewed on his lip.

"I hope we don't get totally shitty food. That would suck..." Yes, distraction, distraction!

Jay pulled back to read his expression. Wow, was that really such a big shocker? She did suppose they all got used to it... Or forgot about it altogether... But it really irked this dude.

She chuckled at his sudden topic change. "We just passed the crappy food discussion~" What was he so anxious about? Wasn't he Mr. Rockstar, hm?

"So.. Uh.. New topic then! D'you like the Brit kid? Not the frilly one, the other one. Noel?" So sue him. He wanted to know.
