[Rayen]
Rayen turned when she felt it, the ghostly fingers that brushes against her, and a sudden lightheaded wave as they took what they needed from her. Her turn was a stumble, a clumsy step so unlike her, and she only caught a fleeting glimpse of the woman as she darted away from their small group. She cursed aloud, both at her own lack of sense to have turned her back on the energy-absorber and those that did not stop her, and rushed after her with only the shortest of commands to stay barked at those who remained.
She leaped off the roof to give herself the advantage of cutting her path short, removing the coat from her back and shifting as she fell, and before the next lightning strike was over she had changed. A Western Gorilla, short and lean, build for power, Rayen barely felt the rain now as it fell against her now thick fur and skin. She was already breathing heavily, not from exertion, but from the excitement of chasing down the prey. Her fists pounded the pavement as she broke into a run, the weight of her primate body picking up momentum as she ran, and soon enough inertia carried her faster than any human could hope to run.
She came around the other side of the alley, her sense of smell telling her exactly who was where, and she slammed herself down into a roll in order to diminish her speed. When she entered the alley behind Victor she remained in her form, only her pale brown eyes betraying what she was, and she crept forward slowly. Her powerful shoulders rolled as she walked forward on both hands and feet, eyes trained carefully not only on the two women but on the rogue that had seemingly delayed Victor, and completely silent but for the heavy breathing from her now powerful lungs.
She could not speak in this form but she could listen, and comprehend, and she wondered for a moment if Victor knew why she had sent him after Nuria. How much of the resistance had he seen? Surely not enough if he did not think they would use this opportunity to learn of Regenisis.

Mickale levitated himself briefly to avoid the wave yet another arrival had created to attack with. He landed gently back on his feet, and simply stood watching the situation unfold. A teleporter, a battery, and an unknown. "All very interesting people." he mumbled to himself. The glass he had been previously levitating, he let fall to the ground. And he slowly approached the group.

Kali didn't let her retreat as she wanted to, but gathered the younger mutant into her arms, almost cradling her. Shock seeped through her as the burning she had expected didn't come. What had they done to her?
"No,No Nuria. I won't let them do anything to you. You know what i can do," she whispered softly to comfort her friend, keeping her arms wrapped tightly,"Trust me. You and I have to trust each other to get through this. I won't let them do anything to you."
Looking up, Kali winced seeing the shifter standing there witnessing everything. She expected retaliation from her thievery from the shifter, but she would deal with that later. Calling on her reserves,Kali cradle the young woman into her torso and stood up as if lifting a feather. She had started to reply to the one called Victor but then she noticed another mutant approaching warily. Instinctively she stepped away from all the parties watching.
"She is my responsibility, under my protection," Kali growled out, "You will not touch her. Any of you," she swallowed and continued, "If that is agreed upon then we will come with you and talk....but that is it."

Serenity had been nearby when she heard panicking thoughts in her head. She instantly closed them out and began to investigate running to the source of the stress. From those thoughts she discerned other mutants were in the area. She took a back route to the area.
Making it to the area, she exited the alleyway. Her first steps were to throw up her mental defenses and keep her thoughts blank or vague. She stood in her white sun-dress with her long white silky hair down loose to her lower back. She witnessed a small group of people.
She kept quiet as she listened to the last words of a woman be spoken... "If that is agreed upon then we will come with you and talk, but that is it." Serenity wondered what was going on. She eyed a man who had an ominous feeling about him and attempted to read his thoughts to get a feel for him. She opened her mind up and as quickly as she began to enter his mind she frowned and withdrew. This man had an evil about him that made her shiver. She did not like him. She kept a bird's eye on him.

She growled in anger at the silence that met her, "Is it agreeable or shall we leave now?! I have no intention of standing out here all night on your whim!"
One could practically feel her reach out around her for any extra energy she could absorb so they could hopefully make an escape should it come to that. Nuria was still a child in the eyes of the world, although Kali suspected she was far more grown up then she should be. But either way, She would protect the little mutant.
"Make a decision or let us go."

[Nuria]
"Kali... please."
It was more of a whimper than actual words. She was so afraid, cornered like an animal, and she knew that she would be treated as such if she was taken by the Resistance.
"There's only one thing they could want me for, and they've gotten halfway there by taking away my power. They did this to me and now they're going to take me away and use me to get back at Regenisis - it's what they do!"
Her voice had risen with both panic and desperation. She needed Kali. Her strength could make the difference between capture and escape, she could tap into what Nuria was restricted from, and then she could get back to Regenisis before they believed she had been compromised. That was it. That thought right there sparked the fear that she had been struggling with and it became a willingness to defend herself once more.

[Rayen]
Frustration moved her fist, slamming it into the ground and creating a crack in the pavement from the powerful strength of the gorilla body she had taken, and Rayen's burnt gold eyes leveled with the new determination she saw in the girls eyes. Even if she could speak she would not deny what had been spoken. Taken, alive, she could be kept on the drug and much could be learned of her - willing or not. What kind of methods Regenisis employed to maintain obedience, the location of the training facilities, and if they were lucky, plans of attack and strategy. This mutant could be one of many keys to taking Regenisis down.
And so she growled, and from her swift anger it became a fear-inspiring roar deep from the wide chest of the best she had become, and she picked up the larges object to her and threw it at both women. A wooden pallet, built strong for the transport of shipments that had been abandoned in this part of the city, now hurtling like a missile towards its intent.

Serenity saw an object being flung at the two woman by an ape. Se reached out with her mind to stop the object before it fully reached the women. then she threw it away. Serenity now seemed to be involved in whatever was going on. Someone was after those women and she needed to help. Serenity ran over to stand next to them.
"I am here to help you, if you need it."

[Rayen]
Another snarl of frustration at the interference of an onlooker sent Rayen into a rage. Her own mind melded with the mind of the animal she wore and she charge forward past the teleporter, brushing him aside both to block him from what she was about to do and get better footing to continue, and grasped hold of the side of the alley's industry sized garbage dumpster.
It was a feat for any strength to move it but she did, anger giving her massive muscles even greater strength, and when she ripped it from its place it gained its own free inertia as it was sent sliding and skidding towards the women, three now, as if it were simply another wooden pallet. Rayen followed after it, the thunderous noise of her swift feet and knuckles pounding the ground masked by the thunder of the dumpster finding its targets, and she leapt over it to shift in mid flight.
The massive arms bent at the elbows, the muscular legs following form, and her face elongated as her torso contorted into a round body. Black hair became thick, dark fur and fangs lengthened ever further as Gorilla became Panther, feet finding the lid of the still moving dumpster and taking off again to keep on the move of any unforeseen attacks. Only two did she have to worry about, two that she did not underestimate, but her own determination would see this through.

Serenity saw what the, now apparent shape shifter, had done and she could not fully stop the dumpster herself. The best she could hope for was to deter the dumpster a little. She didn't know what to do, except stand there. She may not know she two women, but they had seemed helpless and so if she could help in any way she would. she began to slow the dumpster down as it sped towards them. The effort began to weigh on her, as she attempted to completely halt it. She conjured a wall with her mind as it soon was upon them. it broke that wall but the wall helped the dumpster flip end over itself just over their heads.
She inhaled sharply, breathing with strain. This panther was good. She looked at the flying panther as it kept on the move.

Walking Cautiously with Purpose
Thomas wanted to get to the market and back as quickly as possible. He didn't like being out at night, especially in this rain, but he had a migraine and wanted his headache gone. He was shivering in the cold, when a dumpster, abruptly and randomly, careen out of an alleyway and land with a metallic crash onto the concrete. That wasn't something you saw every day.
Fighting his instinct, Thomas skipped across the street in the heavy rain and stood up against the exterior wall of a building. Peering around the corner he witnessed a panther, a woman staying low and also watching the scene unfold and two more figures-- one holding the other in their arms. It was hard to make anything else out in the rain.
The panther lunged at the pair further down the alleyway. Barely, the one holding the other seemed to sidestep out of the way. Acting quickly, not sure of what he was doing, he lifted the the fallen dumpster effortlessly. Positioning it properly in his arms, he yelled "Stand back!" and launched the dumpster down the alleyway like nothing more than a cardboard box.

[Rayen]
She hadn't heard the warning. Her large, cat eyes saw only her quarry and her instinct to take the prey would not allow her to lose her focus. Thus far she'd be thwarted by the energy-vampire, narrowly avoiding the blasts of energy she threw at Rayen, while dealing out a few near misses herself.
Then the dumpster came, airborne this time, and Rayen scrambled to get out of the way but couldn't quite scramble fast enough on the wet pavement... The dumpster hit her body, hard, and she screamed. The voice was, at first, the sound of the panther crying in pain but it changed quickly as that same pain broke Rayen and caused her to once more be her frail, human self. As the dumpster skidded down the alley she went with it, just ahead, the pavement tearing at her naked flesh. It only stopped when the dumpster slowed enough to roll, crushing her as it easily made its way over her now still, very still, form.
She wasn't dead.. but she wished she was. Nothing seemed to want to move as she lay there as a rag doll might. She couldn't shift, she couldn't even breathe. Blinking hurt. Fingers twitched as she sought some kind of movement but all that came was a broken whimper.

To say things had gone from bad to worst would have been an understatement. Victor had wished the women safe passage and was not aware of Rayen's own intensions for the pair. See the animalistic woman grab a dumpster and fling it towards a new comer had Victor pausing to understand where he fit in the matter. The newcomers power where still a mystery but evidence was leading to some mental powers the extent still unknown. Rayen seemed intent on taking this new woman out with the utmost ferocity and Victor was torn for what to do yet again. It was not until a second newcomer yelled out and thrown the same dumpster back into the fray. Victor snarled a bit but did decide on a quick course of action one that just came to him. He flashed out and then appeared right next to the two crouched women and simply put a hand on them, he vanished again this time with the woman and appeared a few feet further away from the conflict. Victor was still not sure why he had done that but he knew he did not want to see anyone harmed if it could be avoided.
"You two vill be better of here for now. Hopefully you should not be in danger of flying objects, no matter za size," Victor the vanished in a flash once again and appeared on a street lamp overlooking the battle scene.
He had come back with just enough time to see the end of the dumpster and catch a glimpse of Rayne's limp body being dragged with it. The blue skinned mutant was off the street lamp in a blink and by the woman's side. She did not move and Victor leaned in close to the woman mouth and could only feel the slightest trace of a breath. He looked at her torn naked body and went over what all he could possibly do in his mind. The situation had gone beyond anything he could resolve without drawing more blood then he wanted to. With a sigh Victor reached down and did his best to gently pick up the woman, he understood moving her might not be the best thing to do but lying naked in the rain was even worst. He almost thought he heard the woman whimper as he lifted her up and he hated the fact he was causing her pain at the moment.
"Please forgive me Frau, I only hope I can get you to help in time."
Victor looked back at all the other mutants and gave a sigh before he vanished in a flash. Again and again the mutant flashed in and out. He pushed the distance of his jumps to their limit so he could avoid moving as much as possible. He kept to ground level, which made things difficult for him since he was used to seeing everything so high up, but he was afraid the change in altitude so quickly might do more harm than good. Victor moved with determination and purpose, knowing that each second that past was one more Rayne was losing.
He was heading towards the only Resistance base he knew of with the medical facilities to treat the woman, but wondered if simply taking her to a hospital would have been better. The mutant shook his head after a jump as he remembered his own appearance and the trouble it would cause. Most likely people would think he had done this to Rayne, and her being unclothed did not help matters either, so onward to the resistance base he went, each jump bringing him closer and closer.

Just as Serenity began to prepare herself for another onslaught from the shape-shifter, the shape-shifter was then slammed and sent flying into the alleyway by the same dumpster that serenity had just barely stopped.
Another man appeared from out of another alley. He seemed to have thrown the dumpster at the panther. Just then a man who had been with the group that had cornered the two women, he appeared and then vanished with the two women, then reappeared and vanished again with the shape-shifter. She looked around and saw herself practically alone now with a small group of mutants. This was not good. She needed to find the two women. She began a step back motion slowly.

This was perfect! Things couldn't have escalated more to Kali's liking then they were right now. With the shifter changing, the teleporter flashing from one area to the next, the Telekinetic deflecting, and the newcomer tossing; the air was full of unused and residual energy. Kali held Nuria close to her body as they huddled in the alley. Without moving a single muscle, she began drawing every drop of energy into her body. The air began to feel very thick and unbreathable as she continued letting her body soak it all in.
Instinctively she knew she owed the telekenetic and the newcomer. Kali had been sure she could take out anyone who opposed her, but not without energy. She looked down when she felt the little mutant cling to her. Soothing murmurs came from her mouth,as a older sister would to a younger one.
"Don't worry, Nuria. We'll get your powers back, the drugs will wear off.I won't let them take you," picking her up again Kali tentatively stepped out into the street deciding which was to go to find a temporary housing situation for them.
Unfortunately she stepped right into the sight of the two mutants who had helped them.....
Her arms tightened around Nuria in protectiveness. Her tongue darted out to wet her dry lips as she stared at them. Yes they had helped them....but at what price? Did she dare trust them enough to go with them?
