Aria nodded as each thing was pointed out. "I want the pepper things, please... and can I try the honey ham? I like honey..." Asher was surprised she was trying new food, but he was glad the new food was coming from Nastara and not himself. He wouldn't have been able to describe the tastes of food very well or make sure he prepared it correctly. He knew he needed to work on his cooking skills.

Smiling encouragingly at the kit Nastara opened the bag of ham, slipped out a slice and placed it on a plate before nudging it over to Aria. " Now its not going to taste exactly like honey, I did make it myself though so its not the store bought inferior quality ham. Its got a honyed glaze on it so the part that tastes most sweet will be on the outside.

Aria nods and says quietly, "Okay." She pulls the plate in towards her, and licks the outside briefly, unsure of what to expect. Finding it pretty good, she nibbled at the edge. She bounced happily and nodded up and down many times. "Yeah, could I have that on my sandwich too?!" Asher laughed heartily at her enthusiasm, glad that Aria liked it.

A slight blush suffused Nastara's cheeks at the kits enjoyment as she met Asher's eyes to see his surprise "Of course you may! So, would you prefer white or honey wheat bread? And would you like any mayo, mustard, or honey mustard?" As she spoke she pulled out some ham, some pepperonici's, a few slices of cheddar, some lettuce and cucumbers out.
Jasper walked up behind Aria and spoke " For not liking green there is an awful lot of it on your sandwich!" Catching Aria's eye he winked at her. And amaingly sat down beside her to wait his turn for his sandwich.

"All of the things you mentioned that had honey in the name!" Aria nodded resolutely before turning to Jasper. "Yeah, but lettuce doesn't taste like much... and the pepperonici things sound cool. And... i don't know about cucumbers then," she grinned. "I guess it's more of cooked green stuff..."
Asher beamed happily at the two kits, glad there wasn't any conflict going on.

Quickly Nastara worked her magic making the sandwich for the kit, feeling quite pleased with herself. It was obvious that Aria was going out of her comfort zone with her meal choice, and it was nice to share her love of food with someone newer to it. Finishing up the sandwich she quickly cut it into four pieces and speared each piece with a small toothpick topped in colored foil streamers so it looked like a firework exploding. "Voila!" She passed the plate over to Aria.
Jasper chuckled to himself and winked at Aria "Just wait untill you taste it!" Returning his focus to Nastara he quickly pointed out what he wanted on his sandwich, turkey and ham on wheat with oddly enough lots of veggies.

Aria smiled and took the sandwich. "Thank you!" She stepped back a bit so Jasper could get what he wanted and decided to wait until everyone else started eating. Meanwhile, Asher scanned his eyes back and forth across the ingredients, unsure of what he would want... there were many choices.

Deftly Nastara prepared the sandwich for Jasper and pared the crusts off before cutting it into fourths and decorating it. Jasper smiled and licked his lips "Ohh! looks great! Thanks auntie!" Grabing his plate he scooted back and claimed a spot on the corner of the blanket. Just about to dig in he saw that Aria was waiting and stopped mid-bite to wait as well.
Nastara turned to Asher saying " I'd be delighted to prepare your sandwich for you, if I may."

Aria couldn't help but giggle at Jasper while continuing to wait.
"Yes, that would be a good idea. Just pick out whatever you think I would like? Which is basically anything..." he smiled at her.

Thinking for a moment Nastara made a chicken and turkey sandwich on wheat using lots of meat, mayo and honey mustard. She watched his face as she grabbed veggies, going a bit light on the lettuce and tomatoes for flavor, and topped it off with pepperjack cheese. She cut it up and served it in the same manner as the others, but added a large glass of the cherry lemonade he'd so enjoyed earlier and graced him with a demure smile.
"Aria, would you like some cherry lemonade or would you prefer juice?" She poured Jasper some lemonade as she spoke, then pulled out bowls of chips and goldfish then placed them in the center of the blanket.

Asher watched as she expertly prepared the sandwich, thanking her when she finished and took both the sandwich and the cherry lemonade. Aria debated in her head for a moment before replying that she'd like the lemonade. She smiled largely when she saw the goldfish, and waited for Nastara to make her own sandwich.

Reaching back into the basket she retrieved a ziploc baggie with a sandwich already made inside it. Maneuvering it carefully so that it didn't either fall apart or rip the bag she placed it on a plate, and poured a small glass of lemonade for herself and one for Araia. Passing it to the kit she said " I hope you all enjoy your lunches" and feeling a bit nervous took a small bite of her own sandwich to cover it up.

Asher was quite curious as to what her own sandwich was, but figure she'd either tell him if she wanted him to know or he could ask later about it. He took a bite of his sandwich, smiling immediately at the taste. He swallowed and exclaimed, "Wow! That rivals your lemonade!" before he took another bite. Aria took a tiny bite out of the inside corner of one of her pieces, but took a much larger bite the second time, eyes widening again. "This is really good, Nastara!" She then tried some lemonade, grinning at the taste of the sweetly tart drink.

Nastara happily munched her sandwich, trying to keep it from falling apart as little bits of honeyed ham threatened to slide off her wheat bread. Setting her sandwich down momentarily she grabbed some sour cream and cheddar Ruffles for herself and offered the bowl around to everyone else. " These are sour cream and cheddar, there are regular flavored as well as Goldfish if anyone would like some. I trust everyone is enjoying their lunch?"
She smiled around benevolently at the group, noting that Jasper was sitting still and being quiet, attacking his sandwich with a vengance, having already finished a fourth of his sandwich and making quick work of another. He paused only for a moment to grab the bowl of Goldfish and dump a healthy dose on his plate. Hesitating momentarily he offered the bowl to Aria with a shy smile. Noting this Nastara's grin brightened before returning to her own meal

Asher took a handful of regular chips before saying, "Yes, I am enjoying mine very much so! Thank you. Are you liking yours?" He took another bite of his half-eaten sandwich as Aria smiled at Jasper, accepted the bowl, took some out, and nommed on the goldfish. "Yeah! Thanks again, Nastara. It's all really good," she said after swallowing. Asher smiled widely, quietly thanking Nastara in his head for getting Aria to try new food. Spaghetti had been all she would eat as of late.
