"I want powers." he said simply, and regarded his Guardian with disdain. He still thought it was all her fault.
But if Sati said he would get powers later, then he supposed he could believe her. Just this once. She was pretty and nice, and pretty and nice women didn't lie. As far as he knew, anyway. She had all kinds of pretty additions, too. More eyes and more arms and was just generally the most interesting thing he'd seen in a long time.
So not fair.

'And what is it that you think having powers will give you?' Sati had been 'pushed' back inside, Kali wanting to speak to the little boy. The eye in the centre of Sati's head had opened, and all three looked down on Callix.

"Trois!" Three. While the three eyes were a bit frightening, he was of the opinion that Sati would not harm him. And even if she did, at least his Guardian could put up some sort of a fight. But he pushed the fear back and stared up at the third eye, curious and in awe.
Blinking a few times, its gaze was hypnotizing. Sati asked a question, but for some reason, Callix didn't feel as though it was Sati anymore. But it was her body! Confused, he shook the thought from his head. What would powers give him? He churned this thought over in his head before returning to the steady gaze of the eye. "Powers give me...love." he said simply, almost unconsciously.

Kali was nonplussed for a moment..a rare thing for the goddess-soul.
'Yes..three,' she said finally, reaching out a hand to gently tilt the toddlers head. She looked for a moment into Callix's eyes. There was something there...but it wasnt developed enough.
'Powers can never give you love. Fear..sometimes respect, envy and lust. Never love.'

Now that made no sense. He was frustrated, still being too young to fully understand, or convey, any sort of complex thought. Power could never give him love? But that's what he wanted! Wasn't it? He shook his head, the thoughts becoming jumbled in his immature mind.
"But love is what I want. I think." He seemed confused in that last part. He wished he was older, that his mind could understand. It seemed right, though. How frustrating.

'Love is a thing given freely. If it is forced from another by a show of or usage of power then it isnt a true love,' Kali spoke quietly, watching the boy's expression falling.
'I know you are young, and you do not understand these concepts, but forced love is a twisted thing.'
She looked at Lu.
'Your Guardian has love for you I am sure. If that is what you want, she can give that to you.'

"Lu is stupid." Callix muttered, but it was loud enough for his Guardian to hear. She grumbled and sat up, looking indignant.
"See if I make you food ever again." she threatened, a hint of laughter in her voice. She knew he didn't mean it. At least, she hoped so. Some toddlers were too wise beyond their years, she thought.
But was that what he wanted? He wasnt' sure anymore. He turned to Sati, confused, and shook his head. Sighing, he decided not to worry about it anymore. It was too confusing. "I love Sati, tho." he murmured with a nod.

Kali laughed at their interplay, knowing she was right. At Callix's expressed sentiment, Sati regained control, the forehead eye sliding shut.
'Well I love you too sweetie,' Sati held her arms open again, wanting a hug before she had to leave.

Callix greatfully returned the hug as Lu stood up. She thought they'd spent a long enough time in the HQ as well. Time to go home and to quit bothering the older Fa'e, who probably had something better to do. When their hug was finished, Luciel scooped up the squirming toddler, who protested silently.
"It was a pleasure to meet you, Sati! Thank you so much for being so patient with the little guy." She ruffled his hair affectionately. "He really appreciates it too."
"Preshee-ates, oui oui!" Callix repeated. He was getting better at this English thing! They then headed for the door, but Callix stole a quick glance and wave back at the older Fa'e. He wanted to see her again someday.

Sati stood, leg muscles protesting a little as she straightened.
'It was a pleasure also.' she smiled.
'It was really no trouble, I enjoyed meeting Callix.'
Sati waved back as Lu left with the toddler in her arms, and as the door closed she herself vanished, leaving the room empty save for the magickal wind that stirred the embers of the dying fire.

New Roleplay Sati wiggled a toe, holding the foot up and turning it. Then it went back down onto the couch and she relaxed into the cushions once more, adjusting the fine linked gold necklace that was a replacement for the skulls - it covered about as much but was easier to wear. It felt good to be comfortable, even if the HQ was quiet. But that was nice as well. 'Peaceful,' she sighed, linking two hands and letting them rest onto her belly. She was wearing a cloth skirt as well, two pieces front and back fastened by a belt with a skull fashioned into the metal. 'Hmm.' Peace was all very well, but now she was getting bored. 'Not moving, someone will come along soon. Yes they will.' she felt foolish talking to herself in this way, and indeed Kali was letting it be known that she sounded that way.

Aadil hadn't been too keen on returning to HQ, given the events that had followed after his last visitation. His ankle was still bruised and swollen, making it a complete pain to walk on, and his back was still littered with shallow cuts from crashing into the window as he did. He was just lucky no glass had gotten lodged in his wings, that would've been pretty freaking bad.
But Curiosity was a vicious opponent and Dil found himself wandeirng into HQ, eyes casting about for a familiar face. Instead he spotted a half-nude women with skin dark enough that it obscured her features, and he raised an eyebrow inquisitively at the stranger. "Wow. Uh. Jeezus ********, my day just got a whole lot better. Who are you?"

Hah, she thought. She knew that if she stayed here long enough, someone would be nice enough to come along. And she definately knew those dulcet tones. She twisted to look at Aadil, swinging her legs around and off the couch, and standing, two hands on hips, one pushing her mass of hair back and the other swiftly adjusted the necklace.
'Aadil!' she grinned at the colourful Fa'e.
'Just as I remember, but I'm hurt you dont recognise me.' she winked at him.

Aadil beetled his multicolored brow at Sati, trying to puzzle out how, exactly, this new person already knew about him. Something about her seemed awfully familiar but he couldn't place it exactly... Suddenly, gray eyes went wide and the Fa'e's jaw dropped down a few notches, his gaze slowly traveling bottom up and unabashedly lingering in a few areas.
"Holy ******** s**t. Sati? You're black now?" He should've recognized her instantly - how many people did he know with four arms? Good ******** gods, she looked hot.

Sati tapped a few fingers, waiting for Aadil to finish his open and thorough look over of her new form.
'Make sure you commit it all to memory,' she quipped, face still registering amusement.
'Yes, black skinned for some time now.' she gave a gracious twirl, and finished it off with a little bow.
'So, do I get a hug or something? I mean, there's no one else here, and I think I've known you long enough by now to warrant that sort of a greeting.'
