Jazz nodded to Zuri. "That is odd." She said as she walked up and over to it. She noticed that her family and a few more pae had begun to find their way here. It made sense this should be the place to learn.
Jazz found the note and read it out loud. (it's on page 2 for reminder) "Well, now isn't that something?"
Waikiki KiKi looked to Zuri after Jazz was done. "This is...awesome! Now there are oceans to surf. AND I can shape way bigger waves. AND you can swim in deeper bigger water." The teen was a bit excited forgetting the troubles of her Great grandfather.
Rain, Jet, Zoe all heard what Jazz had read. They looked at each other surprised. Why had this really happened? It was so sudden and odd.
Eclipse and Apollo also heard the elder speak. "So, why it is a lighthouse?" the fae wondered. His inner voice was cackling. It was just way too funny that Apollo made and lighthouse and now there was another. And not only that but Apollo's was on a lake not the ocean.

Zuri wasn't nearly as excited as his friend was. In fact, he looked a little frustrated. "No, I won't really have more places to swim," replied Zuri. "My skin's rather sensitive, and I'm used to the fresh water of Tuatha'Ri Lake. Oceans are usually very salty. They'd probably burn me more than anything." Why did the Guardians think this was a good idea? Where they at all thinking of the naiads when they did this? ...Or maybe it was just him and his rather sensitive skin; Zuri wasn't quite sure.
"I'm sure shaping bigger waves and riding them will be fun, though," offered the fresh water naiad, in an attempt to not be a killjoy. "Okeanos will love the prospect of getting to train his skills in bigger waters; hope he doesn't cause a tsunami or something."
The joy of this seemed to be rather lost on him, despite how much he loved the waters. Now more people would be going to the ocean instead of to the beaches of Tuatha'Ri. He was going to be losing his company to the oceans that would burn his skin. Maybe he needed to toughen up a little in some respects, but Zuri wasn't too fond of salty water. It just sounded... painful.
"Rather sudden change, though. Wonder why?" Did the Guardians act on impulse or something?

Jazz looked to the Naiad teen. "I wouldn't think the Guardians would want your skin to burn. I'm guessing this was on purpose. To give all the Naiads more room. Eventually there might not have been room" It was only a lake after all. That was what Jazz thought anyway.
KiKi frowned. "I hope that doesn't happen to you." She looked a bit sad. She thought for sure the Naiad would be happy for this. Still, she was excited to try out her power on bigger waves and surf once her Great Grandpa could of course.

Zuri Seabrook sighed. The naiad had a high tendency to doubt the Guardians not having it out for him in the first place, and this wasn't particularly helping. Maybe he would be able to stand the salty waters, though. ...Nah, his skin was already drying out a little. Zuri rubbed his arms uncomfortably.
"They could have told us before the fact," offered Zuri. He, like the older brother he followed around, thought that giving a warning would be a much better idea than putting them all to sleep and telling them after the fact. "I mean, maybe then we could've asked questions, or at least have not started panicking when we woke up..."
The naiad was a little frustrated, to say the least. A little voice in his head was telling him that this could work out, but the overpowering thought was the thought that this was stupid and it would make people forget the awesomeness of Tuatha'Ri Lake.

Ros looked at all the pae gathered in front of HQ; apparently she was not the only one who thought to come here for information. She noticed a group in front of what looked to be a notice sign and politely asked to be excused while she edged up to the sign, balancing DYB in her arms. When she finished reading, she simply stood there for a moment, wearing a slight frown. "Odd," she murmured. "You'd think the guardians would have informed everyone beforehand.."
"You'd think that, wouldn't you?" Midoriko said acidly, not caring if she jostled people while she worked through the crowd and up to Ros' side. "So what's it say?"
"You might try reading it," Wolfwood suggested, earning a glare. Shrugging, he moved away from the milling crowds. He was content to get his information secondhand from Roslyn.

Being an Elder Jazz decided to take it upon herself to try to answer everyone's fears. "I would think this all happened this way because it had to. I wouldn't worry about it too much. I think we should be happy there are new places to explore and live... although Hula Bob's will need work..." Jazz was a bit upset by that. It was just as much her home as it was Bob's. Still, she believed that the Guardians knew what they were doing.
Waikiki KiKi wasn't sure about any of it. She was only a teen after all. Still, the idea of the waves called to her. Even though she should have been helping out her family. "Want to go see it anyway?" She asked Zuri.
Jet, Rain and Zoe nodded to Jazz and headed off to the bar to help out the others. Hopefully they could at least get the water out and stop any more damage from accruing.
Eclipse and Apollo still stood stunned by the other Lighthouse. It made Apollo's null and void. Still, he made it for a home with Dayht. He'd have to wait and see what she thought about it.

Did the Guardians know what they were doing, though? Zuri wasn't too sure at all about this sudden change. He itched his left arm vaguely, before frowning at Jazz's comment about Hula Bob's. "Hopefully, you can find something to do with it," offered the naiad. "I know people really love going there." Texas Pete happened to be one of those who really liked Hula Bob's Tiki Bar, so he was hoping there was some way to at least move it.
Zuri turned his attention to Waikiki Kiki. She wanted to go see the ocean. He wasn't fond of the idea at all, but he wanted to stick around Kiki. Well... "Alright." He didn't sound all that enthused, but he didn't want to be separated from his friend, either. He offered a small smile to his friend. "Maybe it'll be pretty to look at."
It might've been beautiful, but Zuri didn't want to go anywhere near it. He itched his arm again, ignoring the fact that he was making his skin even more irritated than it already was.

"The air does seem a bit damp..." He agreed with Fernand. The only reason he had noticed was because Esmee's hair seemed a bit poofier than usual. "The humidity in the air changes your hair a little." Bneut explained, having only noticed because he watched her so intently. Or perhaps it was the eye he had for artistry.
Shrugging lightly, Bneut looked forward at the sky. "I think it's further away than usual..." he noted, looking back at the angelic at his side.

"Really?" Esmée stuck her hands in her hair and wiggled them around, soon realizing that her normally wavy hair had become a little poofier and curlier than usual. How strange; she had never noticed that before. Of course, the air had never been this damp, apparently, from what Fernand appeared to imply.
"I guess you're right. Wonder why... And how did the sun get farther away? That doesn't seem logical." The angelic had always been a very logical person, and the idea that the sun could shrink away so suddenly did not fit in with her world of logic.
"So the sun is further away?" queried Fernand, glancing back up at the sky now that his sight was beginning to come back. "That is mighty strange, Esmée, especially since the sun should be appearing closer at this time of year."
"Especially since it's almost summer..." muttered the intellectual to her penguin familiar, before turning to Bneut. "This is unusual. Let's keep our eyes out for anything else strange."

((I RETURN! =D))
Melek yawned, stretching and sitting up, his tiny wings fluttering a bit to shake out any matted feathers. The little angel looked around, wondering why he was alone...and why a nearby chair was lying on the floor. Had something happened?
...was someone having a party and he was missing it?
Still processing her new information gathered, Takeko fluttered slowly back to the ground, then headed back to the house. She followed in Aspen's wake, heading for their room to check on Melek. Raising her voice a bit, so her mate could hear her, wherever he might be in the house, she called out, "The river isn't gone, it seems. It's just running through the bottom of the chasm now. I can't believe that the river would have carved such a canyon on its own in a single night, however. Especially with none of us noticing." She frowned deeply, feeling troubled and wondering if anyone would actually have answers to the questions running through her mind, even if she knew who to turn to.

Kane had been silent for a while, only about half listening to the other males, but still managing to follow along for the most part. What was all this 'falling from glory' crap they seemed so fixated on? Sure, they'd fallen, that much was pretty evident. But the rest? Well, that implied that they'd been something glorious to begin with. Now, Kane had a high opinion of himself, sure...but not of all Pae'il as a whole, so he wasn't really buying into that line of thought. The island fell, that was it, moving on to the next point.
"Been a while since I've seen an oak tree," he commented finally. "Oaks produce acorns, and I know I sure haven't seen one today. Plus..." He trailed off, glancing over his shoulder at Texas. "...I'm not so sure that acorn came from any oak on the isle. It just seems...odd." Yes, his vocabulary still failed in finding an appropriate word, so he dropped the matter and moved on.
"What bothers me more is the island. The island dropping into the ocean...the damage done to the structure of the island itself...the pure force needed to cause such geological changes should have thrown all of us off the very isle and into the sea at best. So why did we all wake up wherever we'd dropped to sleep?" Kane's analysis seemed odd coming from the demonic feline, or it would for those who believed him more a feral savage than a normal Pae'il. The truth was, he'd always been a pretty bright Pae, even while young. He picked things up quickly and retained most things he'd ever learned.
He just preferred to live in the wild, hunting his own food with his bare claws. He saw no point in showing off his mental abilities when he depended more on his physical skills for survival.
---
Serefina dove, snatching a strand of kelp from the lake bottom and using that to tie back her long hair. She was on a private mission and she needed to be able to see all around her as she traveled with no worries about her hair drifting about.
Something odd was happening, but there was some difficulty in getting information to pass from Pae to Pae underwater. Especially when one rarely saw any others. She could have ventured onto the land to ask, but...Serefina had never been all that comfortable out of the water. Maybe one day...but for now, she'd attempt her own research.
The topography had changed drastically underwater, with new rises and ravines that had never existed before. Even the feed from the river feeding into the lake felt different, and with her hair now taken care of, Serefina headed back towards that point once more. Although she thought she'd left only a short time before, she was surprised to find someone else there when she returned. The male was unfamiliar to her...but considering the small circle of her kind that she'd ever met, that probably wasn't all that surprising.
Still, no sense in not being cautious.
She kept her distance for now, watching the stranger curiously. He seemed to be staring down the river, into the new ravine through which it flowed. Granted, the new enclosing structure had given Serefina some pause...but she'd decided to take her explorations slowly as she was determined to learn what had changed their lake so drastically. Why in the world was he just...hovering there for so long?

Jazz stayed at the HQ with Eclipse, Apollo and the others. She thought she should stay there in case anyone wanted to talk to her for any reason. The faes were still reeling over the lighthouse and didn't want to leave yet.
Waikiki KiKi nodded. "I'm sure it is pretty. Which way to we go?" She wasn't sure where the ocean was now or where these new beaches were. She figured on the edge where the sky once was, but the new teen had never been that far before.

Honestly, Magnus only liked how poetic it sounded; he felt proud of himself for coming up with such poetic words. Plus, saying that the isle fell from glory implied he was glorious, since he was on the isle. And Magnus was naturally glorious. "To be honest, this is all very unnatural. I wouldn't be all that surprised if the acorn was just as unnatural as everything else."
The fae only brought up the acorn again because it seemed to be the only thing keeping his normally calm brother from having some kind of panic attack.
After a few moments, Texas attempted to put a statement together about something beside the unnatural acorn he was holding that came from a nonexistent oak tree. He stuttered once or twice, before stepping on his own foot a little harshly to get himself to stop. Luckily, it seemed to work for the moment. "Whatever did it wanted us to stay on the isle. It couldn't have been anything too malicious if they made sure we stayed alive, and not dashed on the rocks over there."
"Or they just wanted to keep us alive for later purposes. Either or." Magnus shrugged nonchalantly, deciding to focus his mind back on the matters at hand instead of attempting to be poetic. It just got in the way of the answer they needed to find.
Despite usually having faith in the Guardians, especially in the fact that they were capable of anything, Texas couldn't help the thought that they had nothing to do with this. Why would they send the Pae'il flying into the ground when Telrunya Isle had always, as far as the demonic knew, been in the sky? There seemed no reason for them to change something that wasn't broken in the first place. It didn't fit. Sure, they had ended up alive, but something was very wrong with the jigsaw piece he was trying to put in the puzzle.
"Unnatural event indeed." Repetitive, but Texas could find no new information that fit with what made sense in his mind.
"Hey," offered the intoxication faerie, "what exactly was keeping us in the air, anyway?"
"Don't know." Texas knit his brows. "Always thought it was some kind of magic, nothing else seemed to make much sense. Didn't bother questioning it too much; why?"
Magnus pursed his lips. "What would make us stop floating?"
-----------
Zuri, however, had been near the edge--or, he at least had seen it from the Headquarters' higher floors. The Headquarters wasn't too far off from the edge of the world as the naiad had previously known it. "That way." He pointed straight in the direction where the edge had been from what he remembered.
The naiad sucked in breath and puffed out his chest in an attempt at being confident before he began in that direction. His confident strut quickly faded as Zuri was once again distracted by itching his arm. Ever since he had seen that spirit dolphin-thing, he could stand the dry surface air less and less. At least it was a bit damper than before.
"You think you'll spend a lot of time at the ocean?" suddenly asked Zuri, turning to Waikiki Kiki. He really didn't want to be left alone at the Tuatha'Ri Lake with no one around thanks to the appeal of a sandy ocean beach.

Seiana_ZI Aysu worried about Cinna and this mysterious mate. Who was this person Cinna was following around? When Noel commented that Cinna was with her mate, Aysu couldn't help her frown. Aysu wished she actually knew this man. Sure, she wasn't Cinna's mother, but she still felt like a mother to the young woman.
But, nevertheless, it was good to see Noel. She hugged her a little tighter, and then reached up to wipe the tears from Noel's eyes. "Yes, it's good to see you. The air seems a little heavy and I usually don't fall asleep so low in the sea... This is all rather strange." Aysu sighed lightly, kissing Noel's stomach lightly, the nearest thing she could reach. Noel was happy Aysu was there. It made her feel so much better. She was worried about Cinna, but having Aysu near took the edge away. She smiled at the kiss.
"Think I can swim with you?" She really wanted to hold Aysu or have Aysu hold here. She wasn't sure she could swim the length of the lake, but she needed Aysu.Dementia Requiem Asumi "Then we'll head to the headquarters first." He finalized his statement, helping both of the females up. Seraphim looked at the acorn curiously, then up at the hole it had likely come through. "Perhaps it fell through the rather large hole that's now in the wall." The angelic suggested.
She held the acorn for a moment before twisting some hair around it. It would be secure there. "How does it look?" Leitha asked in a flat tone that she had picked up from her 'father'. With a small laugh, she climbed out of the spring and grabbed her necklace so she could walk on land. "Ok, maybe you'll get answers about the cave?" She hoped so. She also hoped her Mother and Aysu was ok. She was worried, but knew deep down that they had to be ok. Cinna looked at Leitha, "Very goregous!"

[chainedfaye] Alaera was rather glad to hear another voice but when it's owner rounded the corner she wasn't so sure anymore. She'd encounter another elder before in the past though the memory was now faint. The creature that was looking at her with such concern was very different from any pae she'd ever set eyes on and with all the other changes that had happened...well her reaction probably wasn't one of her best.
She instinctively backed away, her thoughts flying. Could it be...she looked down at herself hurriedly checking herself out. No...she was still the same...maybe...the demon blurted out her thoughts.
"What happened to you? Were you inside the building when it changed?? Is that why you look so different? And why I look normal still? What's happened? Why is there suddenly an impassable cliff blocking me from getting home?" Ivy wasn't sure she had all the answers, but attemped to answer then anyway. "Oh, dear, no I've looked like this for a while. I'm an Elder of the Isle. The Elder of Flora to be exact." She smiled sweetly at the girl, were elders that few and hard to find that some paes had never met or even heard of them?
"As for the Isle, it has sunk into the ocean. Well, according to the letter on the door, from the Guardians. That's all I can tell you. We'll have to explore to see all the affects of this move." She wondered what else had changed and had a small urge to explore the Isle herself.

Aspen was relieved, the then wondered about his other family. How were they?
"Really? Wow, that is crazy." How could all of this had happened while they slept? Why didn't they wake? It should have caused noise at the very least, if not earthquakes. "You think there is information somewhere to check?" Wouldn't the Guardian's leave something somewhere?
