Melody can feel her face growing hot as she rubs her wrists together, and then tentatively smells them.
At the moment, she smells the same fragrance from before, but she THINKS that, in time, it should fade and mingle with her body chemistry... right? At least, that's what she remembers her Auntie Luna saying once... She might not have it right.
Her projections continue along that line of idle chatter as embarrassment and self-consciousness wash over her with all the grace and dignity of water balloons dropped from a tree fort. And finally, FINALLY she overcomes her awkwardness enough to marvel at awwww, how nice Hitsuga is! Melody's going to show this off to EVERYONE! 4laugh

No, he assures her she's right. And that's exactly why it goes on the wrists and the neck, because that is where the blood is warmest and closest to the skin. 3nodding
And now it is his turn to flush, looking back at the tabletop. He wishes he could offer her more, as she has been so generous to him today, but he will not have this one in bottles for at least two more days, provided he finishes it tonight.
It is his hope when next she visits, everything will be running a bit more smoothly.

Well, she assures him, it might be a while before she can visit again. sweatdrop Her new due date is coming up fairly quickly, and once the chibis are born, she's going to need to take some time to rest up before she can go out again.
Not to mention she isn't quite certain if Hitsuga would really want his calm, nice-smelling house to be suddenly filled with the chaos of crying babies and the smell of poopy diapers and--well. He gets the idea!

He's....never really dealt with babies, he admits sweatdrop There are none in his family currently and most of his customers thought better of bringing their children into the chemist's tower.
But yes, Lady Melody should certainly do what's best for herself and her little ones first. And he wishes her, and her family, the very best with it all. He is sure, stresses aside, that it will be a very happy time for them 4laugh

Well, if Hitsuga ever wants to visit, Melody and Boyue would be happy to have him stop by sometime? From what Melody understands, babies tend to sleep a lot when they're newborns anyway, so perhaps it wouldn't be so stressful for him? And besides, then he gets to meet Melody's husband! 3nodding

If they would have him, he would be happy to stop in sometime and meet the rest of her family after things have calmed down enough for visitors. 3nodding But Melody and her husband should take all the time they need to themselves, also.
It would give him time, perhaps, to find a gift to bring her children.

No no, he would be happy to! It may be educational for him to shop for things other than food and materials to stock his shop with, after all.
That and she and others have been very kind to him since his unexpected arrival here, it would be his pleasure to give back as he can.

Well, if Hitsuga is really really SURE, but he shouldn't stress himself or spend too much money, okay?
Melody feels like a mother already, lecturing the older man in such a fashion. (Don't spend too much money! Save some for a rainy day! Eat your vegetables!)

He laughs, shaking his head a bit. It only means that she's well-prepared for her new arrivals, he assures her.
....and ventures as an afterthought that, if it will make her feel better, he does, in fact, eat his vegetables. xd
