Here you can find a list of the various non-human/non-dragon characters you may come into contact with in the world of Dragon-Bound. These characters may serve as a start for an RP plot or be sought out by your character for help, etc! If you wish to RP with a NPC contact either Dragon-Bound or Kiddo the fox-phoenix and let her know.

I am not very protective of my NPCs. While some people may be adverse to someone else attempting something dramatically life-altering on their NPCs I am not. You can try to bind these, fall in love with them, or even try and kill them. I can't say it'll work or not - I do have information I've tucked away on each NPC that you don't know about - but you can certainly try.

Some of these characters may even be the key to earning special items not available in the shop for gold.

Index by post:
1) Sain
2) The Black Swan
3) Kenandra, the Demon of the Borderlands

Cry for help and watch the black wings unfold.

The Black Swan

The Black Swan is feared by many, revered by some, and worshiped by others. It is a creature of unknown origin and power. It is about as large as a pony and its wings bear feathers only at the ridge - the rest are those of a monstrous bat or dragon. Sometimes, people will hear the Swan's cry at night and many regard it as an omen of the worst of evil. Rumors abound like blades of dead grass in Autumn as to what this shadow of the dark truly means to the world.

Others have formed a cult that worship the Black Swan and their practices are secret and they exist as a hidden organization, except in the Borderlands where small sects are able to have some degree of openness.

The Black Swan does not interact with dragons. It keeps its distance and only concerns itself with the human race.

Followers of the Black Swan
There is a legend that the Black Swan will sometimes appear to those and call out to them in a time of need. But no one knows what really happens if you answer the call... no one that is except the chosen ones.

The ones that heard the Swan's Song upon their death, the ones that could hear the dark trumpet calling out to them at their passing - they might tell you that they were given a choice, that it was a choice to remain in death or a choice to live again in defiance. They might tell you that along with being given new life, the Black Swan's powers were extended to them as well as a set of the ominous bird's wings. Few tell of the costs to these boons, however.

Some tell of the Black Swan's generosity; that with their help, you too can join the ranks of the followers if you are willing to only give up your soul.

If you have listened this far into their tale and survived, you will not be surviving much longer...

Like a tainted phoenix that arises to find that it is not yet dawn.

Name: Kenandra
Gender: Neuter

Kenandra is known as the Demon of the Borderlands as this is its haunt and it is frequently seen by those who inhabit it. However, it does not deserve that title for Kenandra has sworn to protect both dragon and human and try to prevent what conflicts between the two that it can.

Kenandra was originally a male dragon from a war-like tribe that took a female human as his Dragon-Bound by force. He was not strong-willed enough to subdue her, however, and as time passed he found that their thoughts were mingling more and more. As he shared in her memories of his clan's raids on her village and surrounding areas he started to feel her sorrow and remorse. Eventually, these emotions became his own as well and he left his clan, unable to abide by their violent ways any longer, and wandered the Borderlands as an outcast.

Isolation drove him and his human closer until they eventually became one and were Reborn as Kenandra. Sharing the memories of violence from both dragon and human Kenandra moves throughout the Borderlands, trying to protect those it can.
