So they did screw up.
Tier didn't speak for at least twenty more seconds before talking again.

She sighed, giving up the formality junk, wasn't like she'd be scolded by a long dead emperor who had had a shorter life then she did for breaking protocol.
"Lina Halliphax Kiato, yada yada... rest should be buried in a file somewhere."
She looked at him with a raised eyebrow
"I would've thought someone investigating would have that much information."

Daizing smacked Lina on the head.

"KUKUKU, THEN GOOD JOB ON YOUR WORK SO FAR, LINA HALLIPHAX KIATO. Tier will have to form a group of students soon to enact a recon mission.
SO TIER WILL LEAVE YOU TWO TO YOUR TRAINING."
He nodded at Daizing and formed a single handseal, disappearing into the air. Tier had to go extract information from the five dead bodies of the intruders.

Lina sighed, knowing that with the distraction gone focusing her full attention back towards figuring out the technique was a good idea. A few moments later she was increasing the power behind it again. She soon was pushing as much electricity as was used in her weaker barriers throughout the sphere.

"Good, Good. Even more power! I want to not be able to see you through your barrier! Make a Completely Opaque Bubble of Lightning around you! Don't let my swings get through!"
With a few handseals, Daizing summoned a Bo staff and began twirling it quickly before swinging at Lina's knees, there was enough force to knock her completely off balance, but if her force field was as strong as he thought it was, his swing would bounce off completely.

She blinked and forced more energy out. Filling the sphere till it was opaque by the time the first strike had bounced off.
She shivered for a few moments before her body calmed down from the massive burst of energy she had rushed in releasing.

"AGAIN! KEEP IT OPAQUE!"
He began to strike faster and harder at different locations of her body expecting to be deflected by the sphere, with the passing time, or for as long as she could keep it up his strikes would get stonger and faster until he was using his own Rai to speed up and steal lightning from her sphere. He was testing her output as well as her endurance.

She shivered as she began to feel energy leaking from her technique. As she started realizing the cause of the drain she sat down inside the sphere. Attempting to tighten the hold the barrier had on the lightning. She closed her eyes in concentration, attempting every trick she could think of to slow the depletion of her chakra reserves. After a few minutes she was even attempting a false sleep to try to keep up with the drain.

Daizing kept getting faster and faster, the longer it took for her to lose her shield the more excited he got. 5 minutes had already past, his draining ability began to get even stronger.

She shivered, soon releasing energy through her whole body, while pushing her hands onto the bottom of the barrier, trying to pull her energy back to slow the drain. The decline in ambient electricity and her recharge attempts from earlier that day weren't helping matters.
She looked at her hands closely, noticing she was going to need to stop soon.

He said striking hard and fast, the sound of thunder resonanting with each blow, 10 minutes had passed, he was impressed.

She shivered and released the technique. She wasn't to the point of chakra exhaustion yet, but clearly close. The strange part however was she was wrapping one of her hands the moment the technique went down, her wrist almost looking blurry before it was covered by the roll of cloth she was wrapping it with.

"Hey Hey Slow down there!"
He said holding the bo staff at the top of her forehead before withdrawing it.
"What's up with your wrist? Improvement perhaps?"
He offered a hand for her to stand up.

She took his hand to stand up.
The shivering slowed down and she carefully unwrapped her wrist.
"Not Exactly..."
As the wrap came loose her arm underneath seemed to blur, before she finished unwrapping her hand, revealing it to be a solid red that verged on black, looking more like the generalized shape of a hand instead of a human hand.
"It's more like burnout."
