Snickering at the others response, Trystan downed the rest of the alcohol, not even surprised anymore when another was placed in hsi hands. Tilting the bottle towards Faolan as he inched closer, Trystan grinned, nodding a bit. "I believer we have done enough for one night - and I dont want those kids getting into just because we aren't watching them...." Tilting his head, he gave the other a nudge in the general direction of the tents opening.

Crux thrummed at the comment, nodding towards Zia a bit amused.
"But with different feelings, I'd believe." He responded. "Where they feel this emotion called love... it is entirely different depending on the people - or essentics, per say. We are drawn to each other, but not by such a trifling emotion. As a spark, our similarities drew us together. The absolute need to be pushed past our full potential, to work and be worked." Crux tilted his head to the side, scanner shimmering. "Yes, I believe you are correct... There is certainly a connection between us essentics and our chosen... partners." He tilted his head up from the book he'd been examining. "Though, I am not sure I quite fully understand it as of yet."

Faolan nodded, downing the rest of his beer and grabbing another on his way out of the tent. Surprisingly, as crowded as it was in the tent, people got out of his and Trystan's way. Apparently there were some perks to being the owner's son. Outside, he began leading the other half-demon back through the grounds to his vardo.

Ziazan nodded at the logic. "I don't think I loved Faolan at first, not as a spark. I was drawn to him, though. I wanted to help him. I belonged to him." The little Essentic smiled cutely. "I love him now, though. He's my best friend and sort of like a big brother. I don't even try to understand the connection. I just accept it."

Tagging along with the other man, he thrummed a low note of amusement as the clowns cheered for them, and waved, wondering if they would welcome him back anytime soon. At least he hadn't gotten off on a bad foot with any of them. Snickering a bit as they finally got out into the fresh night air, much different then what he was used to, Trystan trailed after the other back to the vardo. Time to see what Crux had gotten up to while he was away.

Crux tilted his head from side to side at the others talk of love and such. It made sense to him, but he wasn't quite sure if he'd ever felt this 'love' before... As he had no idea about it.
"I see." He acknowledged softly, nodding towards the other. "Its interesting, to blindly accept things as strong as that." Crux paused, a thrum finding its way through his throat. "Ziazan, what does love... feel like? Per say, how would I know it - distinguish it?" The Proto tilted its head once more. "I am not sure whether I would know it even if I felt it or not."

Ziazan thought about it a moment, then smiled. "Love is a warmth in your chest when you're near the person you care about. It's a wanting to see them happy and safe. It's a mutual respect. It feels.. good." It flittered over to Crux and put its wings around the bigger Essentic in a hug. "Sorta like this."

"Ah, home," Faolan said, stepping up and opening to door of his vardo. He walked in and spotted the two Essentics. "Whoa! What the hell?"

"Warmth..." Crux repeated slowly. Though he was capable of feelings, capable of feeling temperature, he could only remember the cold for most of his short life. Though at times, he felt a burning for Trystan - a need to protect, to be needed by the other. He wasn't sure whether that meant he wanted to see the man happy or not, but did that mean he loved him? He did feel something similar to warmth, and his purpose and want was to keep him safe.... Did Trystan respect him? Did he respect Trystan? All of these questions swarmed through his mind. When Ziazan fluttered over to him and gave him a hug, Crux froze, rooted to the spot like a machine for a moment. Slowly, ever so softly, he lifted his mechanical arms, thrumming a bit as he returned it almost hesitantly. "Strange..." He murmured, tilting his head ever so slightly. "How is... one supposed to act whilst feeling love? How do they keep it? Is it fleeting? Or does it stay for eternity?" The questions wouldn't stop, but Crux was cut off by the open swinging of the vardo door.

"Home sweet home."
Trystan snorted in a slurr after the other, sidling up besie him as the door was pushed open. Walking up and stopping next to him, he stared for a moment in faint shock at the sight playing out before him. If the alcohol wasn't wasting his mind away, and he didn't feel like wasting anymore bullets that night, he probably would have become a bit violent. Instead, he settled on a glare set on Faolan for a moment before he sighed in defeat. "God dammit, Faolan, your damn essentic is turning mine into a girly sap." He said, prodding the other lazily before glaring at Crux with his black eyes. "What do you two think you're doing?"

Faolan just shrugged and went over to pick Ziazan up, finally giving up when the other squealed and clung to Crux, not yet wanting to let go. "Fine then, but when Trystan shoots me, you can go live with Rosco." He gave an apologetic look to Trystan. "I don't know what to tell you. Zia's just . . . Zia."

The little Essentic peered up at the two men, huddled against Crux. Okay, they were both shocked and seeming a little upset. Best place to be would be next to the fighter. "I didn't hurt him. Or make him sappy. We were having a nice conversation and he wanted to know what love was. It's not easily explained. Pleasedon'tkillmyowner!" Zia started crying then, hiding its face against Crux's chest, not wanting to see if Trystan tore Fao apart or not.

Trystan snorted at Faolans attempts at seperating the two, but he was two tired in his drunken haze to care, and simply collapsed on the others bed, a hand raising in the air to flap listlessly at the other man. "I cant shoo' you, ya know." He said lazily, turning his demonic eyes to the other for a moment. "Anyways, m' guns are in my bag and my bag is somewhere on the floor, and unless you want me to knife you to death instead, I wont by killing you anytime soon." Pausing as the other explained, Trystan just shut his eyes and rolled over, the incoming wave of drowsiness and after effects starting to linger. "Wonderful."

Crux wasn't quite sure what to do. Watching his master ever so thoughtfully, Crux easily patting the little Essentic, sending what almost seemed to be waves of irritation at both of the men for trying to either pry Zia from him, or try and make him cry. Though it was quickly diminished, since Crux was still unsure of what it actually was. Sighing, it simply let the other Essentic cling to it, and in return, offered it as much safety as it could.

Growling a bit at Zia's whining, Trystan rubbed the back of his head, a migraine starting to implant itself in his temple.
"Why in the bloody - oh god, nevermind. Just - oh stop crying!" Trystan sat up with an almost desperate look. "'m not that bad, Ziazan - I wont kill your bloody owner." He said in exasperation, then rubbed his head in hand and muttered something that sounded a fair bit like "honestly..." under his breath. It was quite obvious wasn't it? Trystan was certainly much more susceptible to human emotions drunken then he was.... when he wasn't under the influence of alcohol. Perfect.

Crux tilted his head as this went on, a curious question roaming in his mind. Turning as the drunken half demon groaned from the bed, Crux thrummed a bit, and cocked his head.
"Trystan..." He started, catching the mans attention. A slow steady gaze settled on the strange man. "Zia claims that he loves Faolan... as a brother, a best friend. I am curious..." Innocently - or as innocent as one could get - Crux tilted his head to the side once more. "Do you love me?"

It was priceless, the way Trystans jaw dropped in the next few seconds.

Foalan started laughing at Crux's question. "Assa, Tryst, Zia's corrupted your doggie." He went over and patted the little Essentic, making it feel better. "Tryst, if you're plannin'n on stayin', and you're welcome to it, at least move over so I can lay down, too."

Zia sniffled a bit, then grinned when Crux asked about love from Trystan, hugging the bigger Essentic tighter. It wasn't a robot afterall.

"Doggie?" Trystan glanced up at Faolan, brushing hair from his face. "Oh yeah, totally." Awkwardly turning to Crux as the other expectantly waited for his answer whilst being snuggled by the smaller of the two protos. "Look, Crux, I dont ...." Trystan struggled with the word in his half sane state. "Love you." He said, watching the Essentic almost droop with what seemed like an unnatural sadness. He could feel the connection dim with a bit of lost hope. And then flicker again when Trystan shook his head and continued. "Nah Crux," He said, watching the other perk up, almost as if he had two dog ears and they were raising expectantly. "Whatever it is I... you know, feel for you - its much stronger then just that one emotion." Crux thrummed a low buzz of content, snuggling with Zia a bit more - as if happiness had finally shown its face to him. "That doesn't quite make sense to me, Trystan... but it makes me very..." Crux paused, tilting its head to the side. "It makes me feel warm. Strange." Trystan just groaned and threw his arms out to either side. "It doesn't make sense to me too. Maybe its just a big mesh of emotions all jumbling with eachother." He said and growled. He didn't like this - he needed to sober up. He was being too damn emotional for one.

Turning his head over to Faolan when he mentioned moving over, Trystan cocked a brow and stretched out like a cat, taking up the space that was Faolans bed.
"Hmmm?" He said as he did so. "Maybe I should just stay like this and make you sleep on the floor as punishment for letting Zia corrupt my doggie." He said before rolling over and easily making room for Faolan. Both of them weren't lithe little feminine creatures, but they were certainly not buff men. In the end, it was easy enough for both of them to fit on the bed - though if they fell asleep, one or the other would most likely push them both off.

Faolan just smirked, giving a soft snort of laughter, and flopped down on the bed with Trystan. "Ay, ay . . . leave off, brother. Your doggie don't seem worse for wear on knowin' what love is." He yawned and curled around Trystan slightly, not that there was room for much else on the bed.

Zia looked up at Crux. "You understand now? I told you it was warm, eh?" The little Essentic smiled, then looked over at the two men and the lack of room on the bed. "Hm, Crux, where do you normally sleep at Trystan's home?"

Rolling a bit as the other flopped down, Trystan grunted and closed his eyes, ignoring that the other was curling around him. Simply curling back into a position that would be comfortable for both of them, he yawned like a cat and rolled over, back pressed to Faolan. "Aye, aye.... well, now my doggie's gonna be asking that question every day." He slurred lazily with a grunt as a short wave of sleepiness came over his body. Closing his eyes, he sank into the plush of the bed. It was true that he could sleep practically anywhere, so this was absolutely no problem. However, knowing Trystan, he'd probably be gone like the b*****d he was before Faolan even woke up in the morning. Depending, of course.

Crux tilted his head at Zia, nodding slightly. It was strange, the warmth Zia was describing.
"But its not physical. Or... it is not caused by something physical. It is strange - unearthly." Crux explained softly, tilting his head over at the other two men as they seemed to drift off with an almost soft chuckle that brought along his refined tone. "Sleep?" he turned back to Zia. "Wherever I fall asleep at, I suppose. It is not one... set place. But I mostly sleep near Trystans fireplace. Or his couch." Ah yes, just like a loyal dog always enjoyed curling up near the fire, Crux liked curling up near the warmth. "Where do you sleep in this vardo?" He asked back, curiosity filling his system once more.

Faolan didn't answer Trystan, already having dozed off, one arm around the other man.

Zia looked over at them, a faint smile showing, then looked at Crux. "I usually sleep on the bed, but it's rather occupied, so we can sleep on the small couch." It fluttered over to perch on the couch cushions, then looked at Crux, motioning him over. "It's not a fireplace, but it's comfortable. We can curl up to keep warm . . . like our owners."

Trystan sighed in a rumble of content, and with one last glance at the two Essentics, he blearily drifted off, eyes fluttering shut. What was one day of good sleep anyways? Free of nightmares, it actually sounded kind of...

Peaceful.

Crux thrummed a bit, watching his master fall asleep in the presence of someone who actually was able to see a softer side of usually sadomasochistic man. What a change, wasn't it? Turning to Zia, Crux tilted his head ever so slightly and nodded.
"It seems as though that is the case, isn't it?" He said, and if he'd more of a conscious personality, it probably would have been some sort of light tease. Following Zia to the cushions of the couch, Crux tested out the soft of the small thing for a moment before tentatively curling up like a spindly dog with a low content hum. Turning its head towards Zia in the dying light of the vardo, Crux nodded. "It is... quite comfortable. I am not warm myself, though it would never hurt to try..." He hummed with a nod, tilting his head to eye their owners for a moment as they were mentioned. It was a curious thing, he thought, how much could change in just one day.
