Jonouchi growled at Kaiba, "Nobody asked you so but out!" He then brought his attention to his friend. After the Pharaoh gave the puzzle to Lerena, he changed back to Yuugi. "Yuug don't worry, we'll get your puzzle back," he said glaring at the two. "Nobody picks on friend, got that?" he said pointing at Lerena. She was just lucky she wasn't a guy or he would have punched her out by now.

"Pff, you can't even use your own decks against us. You're both really pathetic..." he said looking back at his friend.

This was pretty bad. This was definitely a grudge match. Why did they hate Yuugi so much? Seriously, could he have done anything to hurt those two? She narrowed her eyes a bit, the sisters were basically bullies. Sure they had a bad past, but that didn't justify the way they acted. Yuugi seemed to want to help them, but Akiko knew that if someone didn't want help then you just can't help them.

From were she stood she couldn't tell that Yuugi was tearing, but she did hear all of their conversation. But she stayed out of it. Who was she to say anything? When Lerena took the puzzle from Yuugi, Akiko almost instantly felt worse. It was like gravity was pushing down on her, her head ached, her body trembled, and her mind felt clouded. When approached by Yuugi, she closed her eyes and nodded. She could barely form a sentence but she managed to get it out, "Are..... are you ok?"

She started to feel dizzy, like someone was taking the ground and rocking it back and forth. "How are you going.... going....." she said but stopped. Without any warning she fell forward and face down onto the ground. She was out cold.

Jonouchi walked over towards Yuugi and Akiko. He didn't even notice she wasn't all that well during the match. Suddenly, she just fell over out cold. "Akiko!" he said shocked as he kneeled down. He shook her body gently trying to wake her up. He rolled her over gently and dusted off her forehead. "Wake up," he said shaking her again. She didn't respond. "Damn it! If she wasn't feeling well then why did she stay!?" he said aggravated.

Marik smirked as he watched the Pharaoh give up his puzzle. This was fantastic, things became so much easier for him. Pathetic fool, there was no way he would be able to keep that puzzle, it didn't belong to him. He didn't care how they beat him, they did. And even better, he knew how they did it. He would be able to beat Lerena easily now that he knew her deck. And he wouldn't duel Renoko with her, just her.

He cackled to himself deviously. Things certainly were going his way. He turned away from the group, uninterested in their conversation. He had to wait and see what the sisters were going to be up to.

[[I've passed out before, but I never know how somebody falls when they are out cold. XD I've also never seen somebody pass out in real life. I'm always the one to do that XD. I do know that usually you're in the middle of doing something. Let's see, for me it was: singing, watching tv, and cooking (except I stopped cause I felt I was going to black out, so technically I was just walking away from the stove). Most of the time you don't even know that you were out. Last time, when I was cooking, I remember wobbling away and telling my dad to finish the eggs- that I didn't feel good. Next thing I know he's holding me in his arms and putting me on the couch. He said I hot my head on the dishwasher- I never felt it and I wasn't even sore from it! Fun times, fun times XD]]

((I've never passed out, unless that time when I was 2 counts. No one can remember anything from when they were 2, but I remember hitting my head on the dishwasher. Mom and Dad called the ambulance and I even stopped breathing once.

Edit: Just three lines for Yuugi? Man, I suck ._. I'm too tired lazy to come for anything else though xD Forgive me for my Yuugi muse isn't very active right now. It's Renoko and Lerena that's in control at the moment and they're bickering like real sisters do.

The songs that Lerena sings are: "#1 Crush" by Garbage, "The Guardian" by Delta Goodrem, and "You Will Only Break My Heart" by Delta Goodrem. The other songs are probably more familiar to you, but in case you aren't, I'll list them: "Everybody's Fool" by Evanescence, "Taking Over Me" by Evanescence, and "Bring Me To Life" by Evanescence.

I added an extra song in there, because my computer decided it was time to have a field day pissing me off so now I have to resort to YouTube for my music. =|

Yes, I got carried away with this post. I was angry and needed something to do so I edited it, which in the process resulted in the post being a lot longer. Since it's so long, they'll make it to their house by the end of the dialogue.

Renoko sings this, because I just wanted her to: It's Only The Fairy Tale They Believe

It seems my computer is telling me to ******** off and go to bed, to which I reply, "You ******** off." I have a bad mouth, lol xD! Plus, me listening to InuYasha AMVs while writing this post isn't helping it be any less over-dramatic. If you don't know, InuYasha is the Land of the Spazzes, plus it's over-dramatic in every scene possible...or is that in Yu-Gi-Oh...I can't really remember.))

"Akiko!" shouted Yuugi. If Jounouchi wasn't shaking her, he would've surely done it himself. "Why? Why is this happening? And more importantly, who are those girls? What are their goals?" he asked thoughtfully. They picked on him for what seemed to be a bad reason, but there seemed to be something more to them then the fact they were mean. Did they actually have a goal or did they just want more power?

"I can't control my emotions. Why doesn't he understand that?" asked Lerena. "I didn't get rid of all my emotions, just my desire for love. He's foolish."

"Lerena. It was wrong of me all those years ago to keep you from finding love. If you gave up these emotions for me, please don't feel pressured to suppress them any longer."

"Thanks, Sister, but I gave them up on my own accord." she said with a smile. She walked down the sidewalk and sighed. "I do apologize, Renoko. I should have told you that I seeked Darla's help earlier."

"Don't do that again. I don't want her controlling you. Anyway, now that we have possession of the Millennium Puzzle, we need to get rid of it as soon as possible. Unfortunately, you currently have ownership, so we can't just 'get rid of it'. Damn rules. The Helena Clan is in danger as long as we have this artifact." explained Renoko. "I don't know why I even requested to duel him. I just felt something telling me that I had to get the Millennium Puzzle."

"Renoko, tell me one thing. Why does Jounouchi seem so strong even though he has friends? And are we really pathetic like he says?"

"Sister, don't let him poison your brain. Jounouchi is a douchebag and does not understand our bond." said Renoko with a smirk. "We are above him so his words are not important."

"Have you ever once thought that we're doing things all wrong though?"

"I did once, yes. That was when I was in love with Kaiba, but I later realized that we're not doing anything wrong. There will always be people inferior to us and we will also have our own superiors. It is the job of the superiors to make their power known. Lerena, if this is not the path we are meant to lead, we will change given time. Just understand where you stand now, okay?"

"Okay. About that note I received... I'm kind of freaked out about it, but at the same time, I've put the puzzle together. At least I know who wrote it now, but it seems kind of strange that it would be able to make it into our school."

Renoko nodded. "I'm certain that someone put the note there manually." she answered. "It couldn't have gotten there all by itself."

"What if it did?" joked Lerena with a smirk.

"I suppose notes can write themselves as well then." Renoko replied sarcastically. "About this note though; it could be fake." she cautioned. "We have to somehow be able to tell if it's the person the note implies."

"Like a trap or something? You think it could be a trap? Are we really that powerful that we are worth setting a trap for?"

"I don't know, but we better check with Mother and see if she thinks it has any credibility."

"What about checking with..." her voice trailed off as she recalled Marik just storming off. He seemed so annoyed. It was as if Lerena touched a nerve that he didn't want touched. Perhaps he was falling in love with her and he just didn't like that. This provoked a giggle or two. "Man, on second thought, I don't think that would be a good idea."

"Is something really that funny?" she asked.

"No. I'm just easily amused. But, I'll tell you. Lend me your ear." When Renoko leaned toward her, Lerena stopped walking and whispered in her ear what might be a useful tool for confirmation.

"Oh, my." said Renoko with a soft giggle. "That might be a good way to tell, but you have a point."

"I don't really care what we do." said Lerena as she crossed the street with Renoko. "For the sake of things, we're messing up the Natsuki Clan's plans." she said seriously.

"Ah, yes, my favorite pastime: making sure the Natsuki Clan fails. It's all in a day's work."

"Indeed it is." said Lerena with a smirk.

"Lerena, can you sing to me how you felt about Marik before your change?" she asked.

"What? Why?"

"I want to know if there's really a reason for you to get rid of your emotions or if there's a way to use them to our advantage."

"I'm not a whore, Renoko."

"That's not what I meant. Lerena, tell me. How did you feel? I want to know."

"But why?"

"Carmela, Justin's mother, should have some idea that Marik owns the Millennium Rod by now. If she thinks that going after him will get to you, she's wrong. The power of the Rod is extremely strong and could just as easily be used against her. Think about it."

"So Marik could control one of Carmela's family members to obtain the Necklace from her, but surely if Marik is capable of doing such things, why would Isis seek our help?"

"Perhaps she and Marik aren't on the best of terms. Not everyone is lucky like we are. You have to understand Sister that some families are torn. Even if they aren't torn, some people aren't necessarily close, no matter how protective one may be. Think of grandmother. She was protective of her parents, but they weren't close at all."

"Surely Marik cares about his sister and would be willing to help her if she lost something as important as the Necklace."

"I'm not sure why she'd seek our help either given that our actions aren't very reasonable."

"Perhaps the Necklace told her of my feelings for him and she figured I'd be willing to help someone he cared for. It's kind of pathetic though."

"Maybe it didn't come down to that." answered Renoko. "Maybe she seeked our help, because we are enemies of the Natsuki Clan and have the free time to go after them."

"Where do they live?" asked Lerena.

"I'd gather somewhere in our neighborhood just to piss us off and spy on us." said Renoko. "Lerena, listen to me. Do you truly want to help someone you don't know?"

"Renoko. Analyze my emotions based on how I sing this. You asked me to tell you my emotions before the change so I'll do it. Just don't kill me. Please don't think I'm betraying you."

"You have my word, dear Sister." promised Renoko.

"I will sell my soul for something pure and true to someone like you. I will feel pain for you, I will twist the knife and bleed my aching heart and tear it apart. I will lie for you, beg and steal for you, I will crawl on my hands and knees until you see, you're just like me. Save me from the nothing I've become. Now that I know what I'm without, you can't just leave me. I have to be with you to live, to breathe, you're taking over me. I don't believe in love. You will only break my heart. I'm the sole protector of a heart that's been abused. I know the truth now, I know who you are, and I don't love you anymore."

Renoko nodded as Lerena finished up. "Why did you confess your love to him if you don't believe in love then?" she asked skeptically.

"I don't know. My emotions were confused. Anyway, it's hard to clearly express myself when I don't feel love towards him anymore."

"Very well. You have a point. It seems like you had a lot of issues to deal with before you sent your feelings of love away." said Renoko with a sigh.

"I had no choice, but to do it. Renoko, I was blind to the truth before he said those cold, harsh words to me."

"Those words awakened Darla." said Renoko regrettably. "He must've had a huge impact on you if Darla was able to break through the effects of your medication."

"You don't understand, Renoko." said Lerena darkly. "The lyrics to the end of that song was how I felt after he said those words. Darla saved me in actuality, but it's not like you'd understand."

Renoko slapped Lerena across the face. "Snap out of it, would you?! She can do nothing but HARM you. The only thing she wants is for other people to suffer! My hatred for Yuugi and Jounouchi? Please. She finds their pain and misery to be like heavenly grace! Lerena, I don't trust her. Don't think I don't have a conscience, because I know what we did to Yuugi was extremely wrong. It's just more fun to be against the light and live in the darkness."

She glared at Renoko. "Why did you do that?! You think I can't have feelings in this state?! Damnit! That hurt!"

"It was supposed to help you snap out of it. It happens a lot in the movies and it works."

Lerena snickered darkly and then began to walk faster. "The effects are fading. You may not be able to see it, but I feel it returning."

"Have you no shame, Lerena?" asked Renoko. "Is Darla driving you insane?!"

"She might be or maybe something else is. Shutting away my emotions always has negative effects. It probably would for anyone. I'd accept the way I feel, but I hate these emotions. All I need is the Helena Clan and I need to return to those days. Feelings of love are pathetic and pointless. What was I thinking when I told Marik I loved him? Here's the thing: I don't think I was. Damnit!" Lerena explained, cursing under her breathe.

"Love doesn't have to leave you with bitterness and hate." said Renoko. "I had you thinking it would to protect you, but I'm tired of it. You won't find happiness this way. I'm sorry, Sister."

"Take away the pain of love, Renoko. Please. I don't want to feel this way especially when my feelings won't ever be returned."

"So you think Darla's the answer, right? Well, she's not."

"She may be if you won't help me." said Lerena darkly.

"Are you sure? Is this what you really want, Lerena?" asked Renoko softly.

"Want me to sing how I feel right now?" Lerena asked sarcastically. She meant every word. She would do it if she had no choice. "I don't know how to change, Renoko! I've had this strange condition since I was born that singing can cause me to feel a certain way. Change my emotions!"

"My songs of darkness do not work on you." answered Renoko. "Remember? In order to affect you, I have to use lighter songs."

"If I truly want it, it'll happen, right? With my mind open to change for once, your songs of darkness should affect me."

"I like you the way you are, Lerena. Even if you love him, I won't change my relation to you. You're acting like I'm going to abandon in you just because you're in love."

"I'll never be what I want to be, Renoko, unless you do this! Do it! You have a duty as my protector to protect me. He said that if I didn't cast away my feelings of love that I'd get hurt! Do you want that?!"

"It is still your duty as my protector to keep me from getting hurt as much as possible. Although, you have a point, Renoko. Then again, he could tell me what to do if he wanted to. As it would seem, he doesn't feel like it."

"Lerena. If he wants to ignore the way he feels, then that's his business. Even with the Millennium Rod, if he refuses to open himself up, he's not all that powerful."

"He's pretty powerful if he has the ability to feel what he wants and to suppress any damn emotion he doesn't think is worth having. Haven't you done the same thing? Why can't I?"

"No, Lerena. In my case, I hate men, therefore it's impossible for me to fall in love with one. However, that doesn't mean you have to be the same way. I do have the ability to respect people as I see fit. I'm not going to flame your boyfriend simply for his gender."

Lerena stared at Renoko. "You don't understand. The feeling that you're in love with someone you can't ever have...it's not easy to deal with! Have you actually ever felt this way?"

"I have one name to answer with: Kaiba. Don't ask me to recall that day, because it's thanks to that day that I hate men."

"I thought you hated men because of Cobra..." said Lerena.

"No, Cobra falls under a separate branch of hatred. That branch is ******** Stupid Uncle. Now, please, drop this subject. I'm not going to strip your emotions from you and I'm not going to make you fake just so you can be as weak as he is."

"Weak? You think Marik is weak?"

"To some extent, yes. He's not weak enough to be pushed around like Yuugi, but he seems emotionally weak. Yuugi is strong in the sense that he is willing to stay true to his emotions and not live a fake life being someone he's not. Although, in Marik's case, he probably deems certain emotions as pathetic and not worth having. That doesn't make him any less fake."

"But wearing a mask is fun. Don't you agree?"

"Lerena, there's no point in wearing a mask. Weak people wear masks. Strong people don't give a rat's a** what anyone else thinks, and if they fall in love, they also don't give a rat's a** that they are. They just wing it and get to know the person they crush on."

Lerena sighed. "How is it that you can be so much like Kaiba?"

"Who are those little girls in pain just trapped in a castle on the dark side of the moon? Twelve of them shining bright in vain like flowers that blossom just once in years. They're dancing in the shadow like whispers of love just dreaming of place where they're free as dove. They've never been allowed to love in this cursed cage. It's only the fairy tale they believe."

"That song...Mother used to sing it to us when we were younger." said Lerena.

"I figured it would calm you down a bit." replied Renoko.

"It calmed me down as much as having the plague would calm me down." Lerena retorted angrily. "Perhaps we need a break from each other. I have to find myself again." she confessed.

"What?! No! I have to protect you!"

"The best way to protect me and you won't even do it," began Lerena. "I'm not a demon, Renoko. I'll still be Lerena even without my feelings of love."

"Listen, Lerena. What Marik does with his life is not my business, but what you do with yours is. I'm not letting you be fake. Get over it. Darla is nothing more than an illusion you created to protect yourself from me I'm sure. What reason would she have to change her goals?"

"Why are we arguing? That's just what the Natsuki Clan wants. They want us to be torn apart. We can't afford for our bond to be weakened like this."

"That's why I've been trying to calm you down, Sister. There are things more important than you getting over your love interest. Besides, if you get over him for real, you won't have to worry about your feelings for him returning. Don't you get it?"

"Renoko, how did you get over Kaiba?" she asked.

"Simple. He was an a*****e. Wasn't Marik an a*****e to you?"

"Yea, he was. A few mean sentences don't make me hate a person though."

"I just let my hate build up by repeating the phrase that Kaiba said to me over and over. That's how I got over him. Do the same for Marik."

"I barely even remember what he said that was such an a*****e move."

"Then make something up. Do anything it takes to make you hate him or something."

"Renoko! I don't want to hate Marik. I just want to quit loving him. God. You do the most extreme things to get over a person."

Renoko smirked. "It worked, didn't it? I don't love Kaiba anymore."

"How did you know that Jounouchi would be Yuugi's dueling partner?" she asked Renoko.

Her eyes widened and she grimaced. "I asked Kaiba! I know how to get information from people even if I hate them."

"It may take rejection to get you to hate a person, Renoko, but for me, it's a far different story."

"Marik was wrong." Renoko said quickly. "Either way, you get hurt, so you might as well not suppress your love for him."

"You do have a point. If I suppress my emotions, they'll come back and make me want to go on a killing spree. If I keep my emotions, I'll probably go insane and start mutilating people. But if I stay in contact with him, that seems to hurt me less and less people get hurt."

"I'm in favor of the killing spree." said Renoko with a dark smirk.

"That doesn't help my situation." mumbled Lerena.

"I don't really care. Killing people solves all our problems."

"Please don't say that, Renoko."

"Killing a person would calm you down, would it not?" asked Renoko.

"Shut up! I'm above killing people." retorted Lerena with a face-palm.

"But is Darla?"

"You really don't want me to go to her to solve my problem, do you?" asked Lerena.

"She'll only deceive you. Deceit is her specialty."

"It seems kind of stupid for her to deceive herself." Lerena pointed out irritably.

"Darla fancies control. She doesn't want you to have any. If you bend to her will too much, you won't have the strength to stop her from committing any bad deed. You're better off leaving your emotions of love be."

"Who should I believe?" Lerena inquired. "Ah. I have a headache!"

"Lerena. No! Don't give in to her!" ordered Renoko. "She's evil!"

Lerena tried to fight Darla off, but instead was unable to hold back a loud scream before she took over. "You're so naive, Renoko. I help this poor girl. I have no ill intentions. She came to me begging for help.""

"That's a lie! My sister would never be so desperate as to seek help from you even in a truly weakened state!"

"Poor dear. You've obviously never been given any proper advice from a love interest. Lerena was becoming so self-absorbed in trying to get close to Marik that it bothered him. Any intelligent person could see she was leaving her mark and he was fighting against it. Lerena suffers far worse than you can ever imagine, because you can't feel her emotions."

"Lerena! Stop her! I know you have the power!" she ordered.

Darla cackled. "Quit being so foolish. Lerena has no true control over herself anymore. Her love for Marik will drive her insane until finally I'm the only one left."

"No. That's a coward's lie! You hide behind her, but you're too pathetic to let her live for herself. I will stop you from polluting her mind!"

"Try if you can. I can unaffected by your singing, Sister."

"Realize something. Realize that you were born from that same love. Let everyone know you're fighting with your soul's pride! Offer your heart that"s sucked up sadness. Spit out the scars of your heart, and return to love! For the promise, we will stand as many times as needed. The violent beatings of our heart overflow with a melody of love." sang Renoko helplessly. She sighed. "Come on, Lerena. Being in love isn't really that bad. Stop being such a b***h about it."

"She can't hear you, Renoko. Give up. Your songs are pointless and even you hate singing them." said Darla darkly as the Helena Clan mansion came into view.

"Do I need to confront him and kick his a**?"

"That might be an amusing sight to see, but I don't think you'd win. He harbors the power of the Millennium Rod which is quite enough to make you stab yourself in the back."

"Quit getting on my nerves then!" Renoko snapped.

A figure was waiting at the gates for the sisters to arrive. "Hello, Demonic Freaks. Our father figure has something the two of you might enjoy owning. He didn't even think of creating anything for me. Yes, leave Dante out of everything!"

"You deserve nothing you filthy b*****d." snapped Renoko again.

"I agree with Renoko." said Darla, who was so annoyed with Dante's appearance that she gave Lerena control again.

"I heard everything. So Lerena is in love? With who? Tell me so I can bring this to his attention and so we can flame you together!" said Dante, who was pretending to have amusing fantasies about flaming his own sister.

"He already knows, Dumbass. You suck worse than the plague. Now get out of our way."

"Is that the Millennium Puzzle?" he asked.

"Yes, it is, now shut up! Wait, how do you know about the items?"

"I annoyed Father until he let me gather the sacrifices so he could make some items for you two. He said not to use them in the house though."

"Then what do I need this Puzzle for?" asked Lerena irritated.

"What? Wow. Father knows me well. I was going to ask him to create some items for us."

"I'm sure it's Mother that does. She brought it up to him. Mother was contacted by Carmela from the Natsuki Clan. She wants to duel the both of you immediately. It's some crap you two probably already know since you both have a habit of knowing s**t before I have the chance to tell you. By the way Lerena, Carmela intends on using your crush on Marik against you. Just thought you should know."

Lerena's mouth dropped. "IF YOU KNOW MY CRUSH, WHY BOTHER ASKING?!" she asked angrily.

"Respect. Anyway, I blackmailed this information out of Justin like fifteen minutes ago. He's really pissed at you Lerena. He wanted me to tell you that."

"You are such a traitor, Dante!" said Renoko, whacking him upside the head.

"Damnit! I hate you both!"

"Let's go inside Sister. Dante, you guard outside. If you refuse, I'll do things so cruel to you that I'll probably go to the 9th level of Hell."

"Guard? Who'd follow you two? I'd be bored eavesdropping on you guys."

"You best find out. I think someone's been following us which doesn't work well if said person is from the Natsuki Clan."

"I love the Natsuki Clan. The only cool thing about this family is Cobra."

"THAT is why you're a traitor and THAT is why we never accept you. Now guard or I'll ******** kill you."

Lerena snickered. "She'll do it. Don't anger her."

"I seem to anger her with my existence." said Dante sarcastically. Renoko smacked him, then dragged her sister through the gates. He watched as the Demonic Sisters entered the Helena mansion. "Bastards. I swear I'll kill Lerena one of these days just to piss Renoko off."

[[haha, I got confused when I was rereading the post to refresh myself. I was like.... 'wait there was no green text before O.o' lol. Sorry I was away for a while- a lot of things came up

ps: prepare for a super long post for Akiko. I'm going to try to get through this whole hospital thing in as little posts as possible.]]

"s**t...." Jonouchi said seeing she wasn't waking up. "Come on," he said to Yuugi as her picked her up in a cradling fashion. "I don't know where she lives, but the hospital isn't all that far from here," he said suggesting they go. He couldn't just leave her there. And she was pretty light, it wasn't all that hard. He and Yuugi hurried to the hospital, unsure what had happened to her.

Once they arrived Jonouchi ran up to the front desk and yelled, "Please! Can you help our friend? She just suddenly passed out." The clerk called for nurses to get her into a room. They asked Jonouchi and Yuugi a lot of questions about Akiko- most of which they couldn't answer. They were only able to answer questions about what happened before she blacked out.

"What's going to happen to her?" he asked.

"We have her contact information- it was in her bag. We'll take care of her here and we'll call her family," one of the nurses told him.

"But what's wrong with her?" he asked again.

"We won't know exactly until her parents get here and give us a medical history on her," she answered.

"Yea, but, don't you have a general idea?" he asked again. He was just a little nervous. He's never seen somebody black out like that. Plus she still wasn't up.

"It can be anything from nerves to heat stroke. It could be something else if she has a condition. Did she tell you anything?"

"She just said she has low iron."

"That could be a factor, but like I said, we won't know until we find out about her. You two can go home or wait in the waiting room. I'm sorry but you can't wait in here. Not right now," she said as she closed the curtain from them.

Jonouchi backed away a bit when the curtain closed them out. He sighed a little. He didn't know if he should leave or wait. He looked at Yuugi. "What do you wanna do? Wanna wait for a little bit?" he asked.

. . .

Akiko wasn't even aware she was brought to a hospital or was being taken cared of. She was put into a full hospital gown- the back was buttoned up rather then open like other gowns.

Her eyes opened slowly up, but she was not complete conscious. Everything around her was white washed- appearing lighter and almost blurry. She could barely hear anything, what ever noise she could hear was low and echoed. Her state of mind wasn't there as well, she couldn't take in any type of information being inputted. It was like she was dreaming, like a fanatical state. And at the moment, she could not move, she could not move on her own. But she was too zombied out to be worried or bother with that fact.

Nobody else was in the room, she was completely alone. She heard a tunneling scream call out to her. She did not respond, she remained completely unshaped and unresponsive. However, her body moved on it's own, getting slowly out of the bed. Her bare feet touched the cold ground, but she could not even feel the coldness. Her body was nulled. She heard the tunneling scream again and started walking out from behind the curtain, following the noise. Her look was blank and emotionless. She was in a zombie state of mind. She walked slowly through the hallway, following the gradual tunneling screaming. Nobody paid mind to her and she didn't even notice the people around her. Everything was still white washed and blurred.

She finally reached a certain room. She stood outside- staring blankly at the door. Her ears were ringing and almost clogged. This particular room was an ER unit. She opened the door and walked in slowly. Nurses and doctors were rushing all around- trying to save a man. The man on the table was bleeding everywhere on his almost burnt body. There were strange boils all over his body as well. It was the man that was on the news earlier. However, Akiko didn't realize this, she didn't understand or take in anything that was happening. She stood and watched the man scream in agony.

The man on the table screamed bloody murder. There was no medicine or operation that could stop the constant pain her felt. His skin stung from unknown burns and cuts. His organs twisted and felt like they bursted inside of him. His body shock violently as if electricity was flowing through him. He turned his head to see Akiko standing to his side and staring at him. He breathed heavily but stared back at her. "YOU!!!!" he said directing it at her.

One of the nurses noticed Akiko standing there. "Honey you can't stay in here," she said just about to bring her outside the room.

"NOOOO!" the man howled in protest, "keep her in here!!!!"

The nurse stopped and looked at the doctors and the other nurses. She backed away from the girl and let her stay there. None of them had any time to ask why she was here or to be concerned about her.

The man forced himself to point at Akiko. "I've been told to find you....." he said straining to say his sentences without screaming in agony. "I didn't know who you were, but it tells me that you were the one," he said. He dropped his arm and screamed in pain again, throwing his body back in forth uncontrollably. He turned his head the other way and threw up some blood. He then turned back to Akiko slowly and struggled to get something out of his pocket. A doctor tried to restrict him from doing so. "LET ME ******** DO IT! I'M GOING TO ******** DIE DON'T YOU GET IT!!! ARRRGGHHHHHH!!!!!" the man screamed and groaned in pain. The doctor let him do as he pleased.

All the while Akiko did not respond. To the other doctors she seemed to be almost sleepwalking, or perhaps had a disorder. She could hear echoing tunneling whispers. She could only hear the man a little bit, as if her ears were clogged. She held out her hands unconsciously.

The man revealed an orb that was attached to a collar. His hand shook as her reached to give it to her. Once he dropped it into her hands, he cackled a little. "There..... I did it....... they failed...... I lasted..... I can die peacefully now. DO YOU'RE WORSE YOU BASTARDS!!!!" he spoke and called out crazily.

Akiko looked at the orb that was now in her hands. Louder and longer whispers echoed in her ears. Suddenly, the nurse that was taking care of Akiko ran into the room. She grabbed her, apologizing to the others. She was looking for her everywhere and finally checked in this room when someone mentioned she walked into the room. Akiko blacked out again in the woman's arms.

. . .

Akiko's eyes shot open and blinked a few times. She looked around, this time much more conscious. She was awake and back to her regular state of mind. "What happened?" she said looking around. Blacking out was not one of her usual things. She was a little worried, how did she get hear? The last thing she remembered was talking to Yuugi. There was nobody in the room at the moment and she didn't want to walk around unknowing where she was. She looked on the table to see something shiny. She reached over, it was an orb on a collar, it was like a necklace. She examined it but stopped when she felt something wet on it. She slowly lift her one hand away to reveal blood on her hands. She cringed a little. "What the hell?!" she said lowly to herself. She wiped it away on her gown, feeling skeezed out. Was it her blood? No, she didn't think she was bleeding. Then something hit her. She had a dream about this thing! It felt very weird, she was walking around and some guy was dying and gave it to her. The dream itself didn't scare her, what scared her was that she couldn't tell if that was reality or a dream. And the fact that she had this item in her hand now worried her even more.

Every bit of him told him not to follow them. But he did it anyway. He didn't know why, he told himself that it was good idea to know for future reference where the Demonic Sisters lived. He kept a good deal away from the two- enough where he couldn't even hear their conversation. He told himself he didn't care, but that probably wasn't the truth. Once he saw where they lived he huffed and turned away. He found out what he had to and that was it. No need to stay there. On his way back he ran into a familiar face. "Well well, who do we have here?" he said smirking deviously at the boy. He walked up to him and got into his face. "Just the person I wanted to see! Justin! How convenient!" he said sarcastically happily. He grabbed his shirt and lifted him up a bit. "You have some information to tell me," he narrowed his eyes and kept his evil smirk across his face.

((I was actually wondering if this would happen XD! The glove fits like this:

and Lerena licks her glove like this:

User Image

I had to make her have the Millennium Metal Glove. It's so awesome, but it has different powers.

Now that I think about it, Dante seems a lot like Rishid. The similarity isn't in the personality, but the fact his family treats him like dirt and that he's adopted. o.o; This happened on accident, like Renoko's personality being similar to Kaiba's.

Also, I fail, because I can't be Rishid either XD! The only Rishid I can be is the one from The Abridged Series where he only goes, "Yes, Master Marik." and obsesses over gummy bears.

Isn't Carmela worse than the Demonic Sisters? Imagine if Jounouchi could see this though. He'd be confused as to who he wants to win.

Also, the effects of Lerena's song on Carmela are a one-time kind of thing. I'm going for the type of situation that happened with Kaiba with the Millennium Rod. Basically, her song causes the Necklace to reject her, because it actually recognizes Isis as it's true owner again.

Isis had a vision about all of this, so she knew all of this would occur. She let it all happen, because she wants to see if Lerena has what it takes to save her brother from his dark side. Does that make any sense? It's similar to when she tested Kaiba to see if he was the true owner of a god card or something. It's up to you if she has any additional reasons for letting all this occur.

I like what you did with Akiko by the way. It was very interesting to read. I'm sorry for making this post so long. By the time Marik gets there, the idea is that the Necklace has already been won from Carmela and Lerena has possession of it. Isis should come into the next post to retrieve the Necklace. She should know around what time to come by to get the Necklace from Lerena since she saw the entire vision.

I should've given Marik time to react to Dante and Justin's fight. x_x I was impatient though and wanted all this crap to happen. XD If it makes you feel any better, he's alone with Justin now and can question him about anything else he wants to know besides where Justin lives. I'm sure he wants to know that bit of information, but I'm not sure what other information you intended for him to obtain from Justin. And unfortunately, I had to make it so that Marik lost his grip on Justin's shirt for the plot to happen. Plus, Justin's cooperating anyway. You can pretty much guess he expects to die soon so he wants to die betraying the woman who's doing all this crap to Lerena. This does not change the fact that Justin hates Marik's guts, especially since he touched his shirt.

When you think about it, this all happened fairly quickly, so Marik wasn't interrupted for long. I do hope I get to see Isis meet up with Marik in the next post. I want to see them argue XD!

Edit: There are a lot of mistakes in this post, but I've only fixed one. I'm too lazy to fix the others.))

Justin was surprised that Marik even gave a rip about him until he remembered that this was Lerena's crush and the brother of the previous Millennium Necklace owner. He was not to be pushed around like Marik's previous victim that he obtained information from. He pushed Marik away hard enough that he'd lose his grip, and he backed up, looking him over. "If I remember correctly, Marik, it's the job of the older sister to protect an younger sibling, as both Isis and Renoko have demonstrated. My mother knows she will lose the Millennium Necklace, but it won't be you that takes it back for your dear sister. I assume you want to threaten my life even though I had no relation to the thievery of your sister's Millennium Necklace. Do it all you want, but Lerena's torture is more effective than yours."

"Justin! What the ******** are you doing near my house? ARE YOU CRAZY?! If my sisters find you here, they'll...who the ******** are you?" he asked Marik obnoxiously.

"An enemy of the Natsuki Clan." replied Justin. "His name is Marik. Get away from here douchebag. You're not blackmailing anymore information out of me."

"Quite frankly, I know where you live." said Dante, withdrawing his two guns. Instead of pointing them at Marik like a good traitor would do, he pointed them at Justin. "My sister Lerena is about to receive something very powerful. I hear from a good source that my sisters will prevail in obtaining the Necklace." Dante added.

"Damnit, Miyu!" cursed Justin. "Look, fool, I already have Lerena's insane crush to deal with, not an insane delinquent too!"

"I could care less about Marik. He may be here, but he's none of my concern." retorted Dante. "Marik, stay out of my way. He is my enemy and the ticket to my family finally accepting me as apart of them. You're better off leaving Justin to me. If you're willing to wait though, I might escort you to the Natsuki Clan's household myself. I'm sure Carmela is expecting you, but you'd be walking into her trap."

"Which side are you ******** on? His or the Helena Clan's?!" growled Justin angrily. He withdrew his own pistols at his waist and pointed them back at Justin. "How about we settle this traitor to traitor, each of us which have betrayed our families."

"I've already planned Lerena's assassination, so as it would seem, I'm on no one's side but my own."

"I will not let anyone harm Lerena whoever it may be." said Justin casually. He pulled the trigger on one of his guns, which resulted in Dante ducking.

"Get over her, freak! She dumped you, but it seems that my sister can't handle rejection. Perhaps you better greet her in death!" He shot at Justin's chest, but he sidestepped.

"You talk big, but you're not saying anything cool." said Justin. "Die!"

"Change the channel, because I'm bored!" requested Dante with a playful smirk.

--At the same time this fight is going on, Lerena and Renoko are in their father's evil lair.--

"Father." said Renoko. She got down on one knee, Lerena doing the same. This was the way they were required to react when they've been called and they enter the room to accept his summons. "You called?"

"Girls. Yes, I did. I finally finished the Millennium Metal Glove and the Millennium Thigh Highs. Lerena, the glove will hurt when you put it on, but its power will be magnificent!" said their father with a loud cackle. "These items are more than powerful enough to stand up against the dark magic of any Millennium Item. However, Lerena, you cannot be exposed to too much fire. Your hand will get too hot and pierce your flesh. Renoko, these thigh highs will consume your soul. Should they be destroyed, you will die. Both your items will become apart of you, but they can be materialized at will. Renoko, equip your magic! Defeat the Natsuki Clan!" he directed his hand to the glove. "They do have other weaknesses, but what fun is it to tell them all to you? Choose your fate. Will you take on the painful suffering or remain as you are weak to the effects of the items?"

"Thank you, Dear Father." said Lerena in gratitude. She walked over to the table with the gloves. "I will take it, no matter how painful." she promised. She slid the metal gloves over her hands" It sunk through her flesh like skin consuming water, but it burned like fire. "Ahhhhhh!" she screamed, dropping to the ground and clutching her chest. It disappeared, and then Lerena willed it to return. Her fingers materialized into the same fingers of the glove while leaving the skin of the palm open. "Thank you, Father. Tell me how to harness its power. What are its abilities?"

Renoko removed her footwear and slid on the golden thigh highs. She screamed as well, but when she willed it to come back, she felt fashionable and in power. She stood up and smirked. "And these?"

"Renoko. You can run as fast as a cheetah and your kicks are a deadly force to any normal human being. They are fashionable, beautiful, and accentuate your wealth with its pure gold. Not only are they comfortable, but their power becomes greater when you sing certain songs. Its hidden power is levitation. One huge weakness you must know, however, is that the Millennium Rod has the ability to cancel out that levitation. You two cannot be sent to the shadows in a shadow game, but you are not immune to the original effects of the seven original items. The last power of these thigh highs is your ability to summon a microphone. Your dark songs can put a male to sleep or temporarily make him your servant for three hours. Remember that your song can only affect one person at a time. Use this item well, dear Renoko. I trust in your abilities.

Lerena, your metal gloves can be used as claws and are as sharp as needles only when they pierce flesh. The weapon you can summon is also a microphone with sound waves that can be used to affect a person. Sing a dark song with this microphone to wipe a memory or cause their feelings of love for a person to disappear. Be careful because the Rod can cancel these effects. The Puzzle could as well, but since you have it now, Lerena, that isn't important. Its hidden power is telekinesis. Additionally, you have telepathy. Anyone you speak to telepathically will be able to respond using the power of their minds. Finally, the final power of the metal gloves is your ability to teleport.

Before I send you off to fulfill your duty to defeat the Natsuki Clan, your items are powered by your emotions. The weaker you feel, the weaker your items. Keep this in mind, Lerena and don't let your love for anyone hold you back from your goals. Finally, Lerena, your metal gloves will absorb Darla so she is apart of your metal gloves now. These items can control you if you let them. Oh, and, no using your powers in the house. Mother will kill me if you do. Now be off, Demonic Sisters. You control your own fate.
"

"Thank you Father" said Lerena. The Demonic Sisters bowed to their father and left the house. Before leaving, they grabbed their signature pistols. On their way to finding the Natsuki Clan hideout, Lerena saw Dante and Justin fighting. Renoko had just finished explaining to her that Justin still loved her. Lerena had put the Millennium Puzzle in a secret place that only she and Renoko knew so she wasn't wearing it at the moment.

She smirked at Justin. "Justin, you fool."

"Lerena! Restrain your insane brother!" he ordered.

"Don't! He's the enemy!" Dante ordered.

Lerena held out her hand and the Millennium Metal Glove appeared. "Like my present, dear brother?" she asked. "It is so beautiful. I feel so powerful now. It wasn't love I wanted; it was power."

"Lerena! We don't have time. If Carmela uses that Necklace anymore, she could do more than use your emotions against you! Let's go!" she ordered.

"How did Draku create that?!" asked Justin angrily. "I knew he was doing something illegal!"

She flipped her hair and licked her glove. "Justin, your mother will not get away with stealing that Necklace. I will not be held accountable for what I do to her for bringing the Ishtar family into this. Your mother will have her duel against us. She will suffer like the Pharaoh."

Renoko noticed Marik, who was probably pissed beyond reason right now. It was her guess that Dante found Marik confronting Justin about Carmela. He was perhaps trying to get the Necklace back for Isis as well. She glared at her brother. "Dante! You were supposed to guard, not start a fight! You will be punished severely for this act of betrayal against us!"

"Demonic Sisters, please, have mercy on my mother! Lerena, you don't understand! The path you two are going on is wrong! Your sister is evil, Lerena! She's trying to manipulate you!"

"You sick b*****d, trying to deceive me. You annoy me." Lerena said darkly. "What else can you do to piss me off?" she asked. "What next? You're going to tell me Darla is controlling me? Well, I have you know that she is beneath me."

"Lerena, please. Don't cause unneeded trouble. Save your hatred for Carmela."

"How come you girls get all the good s**t?" asked Dante. "You're no fair, stealing my prey from me!" He twirled his guns and put them in their gunholders. He walked past Lerena and whispered in her ear. "Dear sister, ignoring Marik will do you no good."

"YOU b*****d!" screamed Lerena. "How dare you say such things to your superior!" She poked Justin in the throat with her claws, which was enough to make him bleed.

"You heartless b***h! I'm not the enemy, Justin is!"

"Look who's talking, traitor. I know you want to kill me, but I'm now strong enough to destroy you myself!" She slashed at his throat and licked the blood off her metal glove and watched him back away in fear. "You're wrong. You are an enemy." she said with a cruel cackle.

Justin much preferred Marik's torture and questioning than Lerena's. He sneaked over next to Marik and coughed. "What do you want? I can bring you to my mother, but I don't promise a sure victory." he told him. Surely Marik was pissed because of the interruption, but his last memories would be quite painful. He should've accepted Lerena's feelings and then maybe he would've had a chance for true happiness before his final defeat.

"Lerena!" she shouted. "Dante is not our enemy! He is a pest to be rid of, but he is not our true enemy."

"You're right. I'll let Dante suffer with the pain before I finish him off." she said with an evil chuckle. "Dante! Show me where the Natsuki Clan lives or I'll kill you!"

"How the ******** did he reject you?! You've gone insane!" screamed Dante as he grabbed his throat and took note of the blood.

"Dante, please show us. You are our brother after all." she said.

"You've...never said please when asking me for anything." said Dante.

"Sister, have you gone soft?! Traitors deserve punishment!"

"Just what did Father put in that item?" she said with a growl. "Come on, Dante. Take the pain like a man! The wound isn't deep enough to be fatal, just a minor annoyance."

"Fine, I'll show you where the Natsuki Clan lives." said Dante with a sigh. "You two truly are demonic and serving of your titles. He looked at Lerena. "Sister. I don't know what Marik said to you, but it does NOT warrant you tearing up your younger brother's throat nor does it mean you have to go insane!"

"I refuse to love him anymore! GOT THAT?!" she asked him. "Now, begin walking. If you lead us to the wrong place, I'll rip you to shreds!"

Dante started walking with the Demonic Sisters walking behind him. "

Justin's eyes widened at Lerena's behavior. What was happening with her? She seemed to completely ignore Marik's existence, but at the same time, she also seemed very aware of it. He stared back at Marik, obviously afraid of Lerena now. "Well? I'm right when you wish to obtain the Necklace from my mother, right? You don't have anything else you want to know, do you?"

"Justin!" said Lerena staring back at him. "Now, do you love me?"

"How did you know I still loved you?!" Justin retorted angrily when she addressed him.

"Renoko told me. We're sisters, Justin. The Demonic Sisters, and we're going to take from you what isn't yours!" said Lerena with a dark smirk. "If you're wondering why I'm doing all this, it takes a truly evil person to win against your mother. She cheats. That's probably how she beat Isis."

"My mother did not cheat!"

"She did too, you lying son of a b***h!" interrupted Renoko. "I'll leave you and Marik to return to your little chat. I hope he tears you up." she said with a smirk and they escaped the area where normal conversation could be held between them without a lot of loud screaming.

"I'm going to kill her one day..." he muttered, before turning back to Marik for the last time and awaiting his response.

"DAMN HIM! Why did he have to be there at this time?! It was so ******** hard to keep myself from starting a conversation with Marik! I wanted to ask him what he was doing watching us dueling the Pharaoh!"

"I knew you pretending to ignore him." said Dante. "What'd he say to you?" he asked.

"Keep your mouth shut, fool! You may not speak until we dictate otherwise!" said Renoko brutally. "Don't interrupt my sister's ranting!"

"It's okay, Renoko. He might as well know. Dante, Marik told me to cast away my feelings of love and that I would be hurt if I kept them."

"He takes being a douchebag to a new level. I'm your younger brother, and since I'm 15, it's my job to be a douchebag to you guys. I just want you two to accept me as your brother. Perhaps if you do, Mother and Father will show me some affection too. I'm not asking you to be nice to me all the time. I just want to feel like I truly belong somewhere and that I have a family. All my life, I've been raised to be a delinquent. My true family was s**t to me. Our Mother and Father only give me the basics for me to sustain life, but not love. I need more than just good food to feel like I have meaning."

Her eyes widened. Dante seemed a lot like her, but his life also seemed more tragic in that no one accepted him at all. She almost felt sorry for him...almost. As his older sister, perhaps she could be nicer to him and make him feel more apart of the family. "Okay, Dante. Why are you telling us this?"

"Because you seem to think that men don't have emotions! Both of you do! You two are so close, you were probably lesbian lovers in a past life!"

"Men are worthless, but I can respect one when I feel like it." confessed Renoko. "Dante, if you can pass our trial, we will accept you as our brother and perhaps even become closer to you. The trial is simple. You pick the lock on the Natsuki Clan's front door. If you succeed and are not caught, we will accept you."

"How do I know you're not lying to me?" asked Dante.

Lerena looked Dante in the eyes. "Because I will make sure she keeps her promise." said Lerena. Her eyes didn't change color and for once she showed remorse for her sins in her eyes.

They arrived at the gates of the Natsuki Clan's mansion. They opened for them, but when they arrived at the front door, no one opened it. It was locked. Was Carmela testing the sisters? No, was he involved as well? He pulled out a a large safety pin from underneath his wristband and picked the lock on the door. It swung open. "As a delinquent, I have many more uses. I am extremely skilled at picking locks, especially with primitive objects. I am very resourceful." he explained. "Now, go. I will keep watch. If Marik comes here, you have my word Lerena that I will not bring you up."

"Thank you, Dante." said Renoko, giving him a true smile. They rushed to the top of the stairs to see Carmela waiting for them at the top. She was wearing the Millennium Necklace.

"Hello, Demonic Sisters. I've been waiting for you. I'm working towards changing my fate. I saw the two of you winning against me in a duel." she said earnestly. "My son has been questioned by Marik Ishtar, my next target."

"I do not forgive those who harm Marik, whoever they may be. I will also not forgive you for bringing the Ishtar clan into this. My love for Marik does not warrant you making him one of your enemies." said Lerena coldly.

"Ah, but my dear Lerena, he does not love you back. He never will." she said with a cold smirk. "Dante has been here before. I believe that what he's done to our clan is more than enough proof that he is no longer a traitor. Among your clan, he is a true Helena member. Lerena, in your past life, you were a murderer. You murdered your crush's lover and then you murdered him. You can only imagine what you did after that. You're a true evil being, Lerena Leigh Helena. However, your best friend during this life was Dante himself. You two have been reincarnated to redeem your sins." she explained. There was no signs of a lie in Carmella's face, but Renoko knew she must be a professional liar and actress. "Renoko, you actually were Lerena's lesbian lover. A few years after she killed her crush, she fell in love with your past life. You two are reborn as sisters so that your sinful relationship does not occur again."

"I can't detect a lie in her." said Renoko bitterly. "Could this be true?" she said with her eyes widening. She made a mental note to ask Isis later when the Necklace returned to her. "How much more does Dante know that he didn't tell us?!"

"I was...in a forbidden relationship with my own sister in a past life? And I...good heavens." said Lerena.

She looked pretty pleased with the reactions she received from the Demonic Sisters. Unfortunately for them, she was speaking the truth. She was unsure of Marik's true feelings for Lerena though. "How is Darla, Lerena? Did she wipe the floor with the Pharaoh pretty well?" she asked with a smirk.

"How long have you had the necklace?" she asked angrily.

"About a month and I have seen an existence far worse than the two of you. Marik has an evil side Lerena. He is not aware of it, but take his warning seriously. If you continue loving him, that side will no doubt return and harm you. You're not a masochist, are you?" she asked, with an amused smirk.

"I do not care about Marik!" said Lerena, her eyes turning red and her holding her head. "You're lying! No such side of him could ever return!"

"Oh?" she asked, leading them to the torture chamber hidden deep within the mansion. There was a man there. She pointed at the unconscious man. "Me? Evil? You have no idea. This man is Rishid Ishtar, Marik's adopted older brother, but better known as his protector. I threatened to harm Marik unless he came here. Of course, I still will harm him eventually."

"What reason do you have for bringing the Ishtar family into this?!" asked Renoko angrily.

"I only want the Millennium Items. The Natsuki Clan will rule the planet with an iron fist. We will kill off all who oppose us. If you cannot defeat me in the next duel, Rishid will die. Either you defeat me, Lerena, or Marik will hate you forever. Lerena, I want to duel you, not your sister! Only you. If you refuse to duel me, then Rishid will die now and so will Renoko." She snapped her fingers and a guard that was previously hidden grabbed Renoko and restrained her.

"Dante was right...up until the very last moment." said Lerena with her eyes widened. "You were going to use my love for him against me."

"What will you choose? Oh, and use the deck you used against the Pharaoh. This is so ironic. You know, Lerena, Marik planned to take the Millennium Puzzle from you. He only wanted to duel you, not your sister. He was going to make sure that you used the same deck you beat the Pharaoh with, because he knew how to beat that one. He might actually feel affection for you if you save his precious Rishid."

Lerena started to cry. "I can't win a duel like this...I'm too weak..."

"Come now. You might as well try. After all, didn't I see your victory? Oh, wait, that was before I decided to tell you all this information."

"I would've given the puzzle up to him willingly. I have no need for it." confessed Lerena. "But I don't want him to hate me. Why are you doing this?!"

"LERENA! SNAP OUT OF IT! YOU CAN WIN! Don't let her win, Lerena! I know you better than this!"

"Jason, gag her and make sure she can't give any inspirational speeches to her dear sister." said Carmela evilly. "So, Lerena, want to take your chances? Either you lose everything, or you win everything. This is how the Pharaoh felt when he dueled you two. Of course, you two can't compare to the evil I harbor inside my soul. Lerena, you can't use Darla to escape from this fate either. Either take it and believe in yourself, or don't, and die knowing that the only man who ever gave you any good advice hates you. Unfortunately for you, Justin can't stop me. I sent him out knowing that Marik would confront him. Either Justin betrays me or he is weakened by the Millennium Rod's power."

"You don't care for your son, do you?!" asked Lerena.

"Not sense he's tainted. He fell in love with a stupid Helena. He deserves death for betraying this family. Jason, secure Renoko to the wooden cross and then make sure Dante does not escape." Jason nodded and began securing Renoko to the cross.

Dante heard this entire conversation and his eyes widened. He ran away from the mansion before they could catch him. He met Justin and Marik on his way home. He stopped. "Justin! Lerena's in danger!"

"I can't intervene. My mother already hates me. She thinks I'm tainted blood. I know the entire vision. She told it to me play by play and what would happen if I interfered. She's going to have me killed if I try to stop her. I know the dirty tricks she's using on Lerena too. She can't use Darla like she did with Yuugi so she can get over her weaknesses. She either does on her own or Renoko dies."

"If you truly love my sister, Justin, you will die to save her life." said Dante. "I may know nothing about love, but I know a lot about sacrifice." He didn't want Justin to bring Marik there. Perhaps he could stall them! Lerena would duel Carmela. He was certain of it. If he could make sure that by the time Marik got there, Rishid was all right, Marik's evil side wouldn't awaken.

"I don't need sympathy from a delinquent." said Justin with a smirk.

"Don't think of me as a delinquent then. Think of me as Lerena's idiot brother."

"Mother doesn't know about Lerena's new power. Tell me. Does she have telepathy?" asked Justin.

"I'm sure my sister will figure out that she can use it, but I'm not sure how long before Carmela catches on and kills her for cheating too."

"I was thinking the same thing, Dante. We may be enemies, but the two of us have a person in common to care about. I can only trust that Lerena will pick herself up again. Mother will probably trash talk her the entire duel and bring up bad memories about Cobra and how she wasn't strong enough to defeat him."

"Do you think my sister's strong enough to do that? Carmela's counting on Lerena breaking apart. She's trying to change fate. And you know what else she's trying to do."

"You're right. Well, none of us are able to save her. She can only save herself." said Justin. He began to speak in German to Dante. "Lerena's crush is probably the only person that would be allowed into the room, because it goes according to Carmela's plan for Lerena to be in pain."

"Dumbass, what if he knows German?" asked Dante angrily replying back in the same language.

"He's Egyptian and he spent most of his life underground. I doubt he knows German." answered Justin in German again. "I was telling him to get out of our way." lied Justin to Marik.

"Idiot." said Dante. He just went past Marik and Justin and ran home to tell Mother and Father.

It was then that Lerena had an idea. She materialized the Millennium Metal Glove again. "I rename this item to the Millennium Claws." said Lerena, materializing a microphone in her hand. "If my dream can"t be granted, and I'm going to give up." she said, singing into the microphone passionately.

"What's this? Karaoke! HA! Do what you will. I love to be entertained, especially by your misery!"

"Let's look for the whereabouts of the destiny I was entrusted with. As if I was being called out by a mirage, I came all the way to this place. Someone please tell me I'm not all alone before the shape of my dream fades away. I've been gathering the fragments of my sadness that can be seen reflected in my eyes. Eternity is so endless and suffocating. I want to be loved, but I can't seem to find tomorrow." she sang sadly. When she looked up, Carmela was screaming. The Necklace seemed to be rejecting her!

She removed the Necklace to reveal an imprint of blood in its place. "WHY IS IT REJECTING ME?!" she screamed. "I won it from her! It's mine!" It fell to the ground with a thud. "I didn't see this fate! This isn't what I saw with the Millennium Necklace! I saw you beating me in a duel!"

She snickered and pointed at her. "I had a vision too. It's called your defeat." asked Lerena. "The Millennium Necklace belongs to Isis Ishtar! You had no right to interfere with the lives of the Ishtars!" she told Carmela coldly.

"For this, Rishid will die!" she screamed angrily. Jason, kill him!"

Lerena willed herself to teleport in front of the bed Rishid was sleeping on. She licked her metal claw. "I won't let you harm him!" she said, her claw hardening into being needle sharp.

"Why are you protecting him if you don't care for Marik?!" she asked cruelly.

"Because an innocent life won't die for your cause." answered Lerena darkly. The microphone completely disappeared and she glared. "Bring it Jason." she ordered with a beckon of her finger.

"Jason! Attack her! ATTACK HER DAMNIT!" Carmela ordered. Jason refused.

"Miss Natsuki, do you see that claw?! It's sharp as hell!" He turned around to see that Renoko had escaped.

"YOU FOOL! I told you to lock her securely!"

The gag had been pulled out of her mouth and she was coughing slightly. When she regained control of herself and could breathe properly, Renoko said, "You truly are foolish, Carmela. To stoop further down the ladder than even the Demonic Sisters. Fool. You! Jason! You don't know how to treat a lady? I guess I'll have to teach you a lesson." she walked over to Jason and did a roundhouse kick to knock him onto the ancient concrete floors. "Know your place!"

She watched as Jason got up and ran out of the room.

"Damn you! Damn you both! I won't accept failure! You two are weaker than I am!" she grabbed a cleaver off the wall of weapons behind her and cackled. "You are foolish, Renoko, for trying to defeat me!"

Renoko had stooped down to flip her hair gracefully. She calculated how fast to go and what movements to make to stop. Additionally, she made sure she knew how to obtain the cleaver from her hands without hurting herself. This could not be done. Her attention turned to Lerena as she stood up. "Unlock your hidden power!"

"I will not let anyone harm Marik, whatever reason they may have." said Lerena, pointing her two first fingers at Carmela. She willed the cleaver to leave her hand and be thrown across the floor out of her reach. Next, she used her power to bring the Necklace into her hand. "Once Marik arrives, you will receive your punishment. It is unfortunate that I don't know the whereabouts of his sister Isis. Hopefully she's on her way here right now to retrieve what is hers." she said. "Oh, and Renoko, show Carmela your amazing dictator skills." Lerena remarked, licking her top lip.

"LET GO OF ME!" she screamed as Renoko kicked her into the wall beside the cross. A huge hole was made in the wall. She smirked and walked over to Carmela. She forcefully restrained Carmela by binding her to the same cross that she was put on earlier. The grip was so tight that Carmela's wrists had their circulation cut off.

"You don't mess with the Helena Clan, b***h!" said Lerena with a satisfied smirk. She held two claws against her skin and pressed it softly. The claws disappeared. "Renoko, go find Jason and put him to sleep. Three hours is more than enough for us to win in this fight." Renoko left the room and Lerena walked over to Carmela. "Did you think you'd get away with it? I was faking my weakness the entire time. Everyone thought I was serious. She grabbed Carmela's chin and observed it. "Renoko didn't truly think I was weakened. I use telepathy to tell her to play along. It seems I've finally mastered crying in order to deceive. This is a true achievement for me." said Lerena with a dark snicker. She walked away from Carmela and walked over to Rishid before whirling around. "I will be asking Isis about this 'past life' you seem to have created for me. I don't know whether it's the truth or a lie. Knowing you, it was probably a lie to weaken me. If it was the truth, it probably would have. Luckily, I question it's credibility."

"I hate you, witch! I hate you a lot! How could I...lose." said Carmela. She finally fainted from the pain caused by the wound she now had in place of the Millennium Necklace.

Lerena tied Carmela's legs to the cross and better secured them. After that, she left to greet Marik and Justin at the gates. Whether Marik wanted to see her or not wasn't a choice. He wanted the Millennium Necklace for Isis; she'd give it to him. However, she would expect a thank you. Nothing more was needed since Marik did not return her feelings. The Millennium Necklace was still in her hand. She observed it. It didn't look like any necklace she had ever seen, but it was of Egyptian origin, so who was she to judge? She hoped Marik would follow Justin to obtain the Necklace. Justin would see that she didn't lose against Carmela nor had she shown mercy to that b***h. In fact, no duel occurred. Lerena still had to defeat Justin's extended family and his father, but she was certain she'd have no problem doing that. It would also be amusing to have a showdown against Kiba who had betrayed her long ago. Before she knew what was going on, Lerena fainted.

He looked at Jounouchi and shrugged. "I don't mind waiting for a bit. I'm worried for Akiko. I'm fine with waiting. I just want my friend to be okay. After this, we can plan out how to get back at the Demonic Sisters for that duel earlier. You know, I think Renoko is actually responsible for most of the bad things the Demonic Sisters do. She seemed to hit the hardest and the meanest. You may find this hard to believe, but I think she hates me more than Lerena does. Lerena seemed to only go along with it, because Renoko wanted her to. I'm sure Lerena still hated me though..."

[[I'm going to have Dante and Justin bring Marik to the household this post. Sorry. I just wanted him to get there and meet up with his sister :3 ]]

Marik growled when Justin released his grip on him. "Well my sister can't do anything right now without that necklace, so I guess she'll just have to accept help from her younger brother," he replied back. "I don't care if you did or didn't have a connection to the thievery of my sister's item, YOU'RE going to bring me to your wicked mother and if you don't, I'm going to ripe out each of your organs one by one and show them to you. Feel lucky that I'm giving you a choice," he said darkly.

Suddenly, before Marik could do anymore, some piss a** little kid came out. He glared at him, "Hey, scram kid." God damn it! "I was in the middle of something you delinquent! You can kill Justin when ever you want. Besides I was here first," he said sarcastically and deviously. He then raised an eyebrow when Dante said he would bring him to the Natsuki Clan. Before he could even reply, pistols were brought out and aimed at each other. Marik had just enough time to dodge out of the way and stay out of the line of fire. These people were ******** insane! Not that he didn't mind insanity, but not on his own time.

He was pissed beyond belief. He could have gotten his information by now and be off getting the necklace. No, instead these two idiots were shooting back and forth at each other. "Will somebody please kill someone so I can continue on what I was doing?!" he said irritated and impatiently.

Marik glared over when he heard people. It was Lerena and Renoko. Great, now he had to deal with them too? Or so he thought, Lerena paid no mind to him. Which in a way pleased him and annoyed him. Although he paid no mind to them, he took note in the new item Lerena was flashing around. Although he didn't have to care about it, he was concerned. How were new items being created? They were working with forces that should not be messed with!

He couldn't help but smirk when Lerena slashed at Dante's throat. Finally! Now maybe he could get some answers from the other idiot. Justin already took the initiative to ask what he wanted. "All I want is for you to bring me to your mother. You don't have to worry about whether or not I will succeed. I will be victorious, and you're mother will die," he said as calmly and lowly as he could. He was still pissed off from being interrupted. The only thing that disrupted his attention was Lerena. She refused to love him- good, that's what he wanted. All he wanted was the puzzle that she had and be done with this whole place. And yet, he didn't like the idea she was done with him. He wanted to say something to her, sarcastically pick on her for her sudden disappearance of her feelings. However, he didn't get the chance, he remained quiet. He didn't even know hwy he thought about teasing her, perhaps he wanted to see a reaction? What ever, there were more important matters at hand.

. . .

Dante came back after taking the Demonic Sisters to the Natsuki Clan. Again they were too interested in each other. Christ..... this was getting ridiculous. "Will either you bring me there and you die or you don't bring me there and you die," he said then sarcastically added, "tough decision." He took off his backpack and revealed the Millennium Rod. "So are we going or not? I'm allowing you free will. Delay my time anymore and I'll send you're souls away and have you're zombie bodies bring me there," he threatened one last time.

Out of the shadows came Isis. She witnessed the whole situation between Lerena and Carmella. Everyone was outside except Carmella who was tied up. She walked from behind her to her side. "I knew the necklace would refuse you, whether Lerena helped or in due time," she said strictly and wisely. She bent down and lifted Camella's chin to look at her, "My brother is coming to kill you. Usually I wouldn't condone (sp?) it, however the necklace showed me the disaster you will cause to this world if you were not eliminated." Isis moved her hand to touch the woman's neck- seeing the imprint of the item. "I'm going to reclaim what's mine now, may Ra have mercy on your wicked soul. Nobody can save you now I'm afraid," she said standing up and walking to the front.

She did not approve of people taking the lives of other people, but sometimes it just had to be done. She exited out the door to see Lerena, Renoko, and Rashid outside. She walked toward them properly and calmly. "Lerena," she called out to her. She smiled very slightly and held out her hand, "the necklace?" She put it back around her neck, the item glowed and accepted it's old owner. "I want to thank you for returning my item to me. I knew this would happen and there was no way to escape it. Only a temporary absence from it though. But it had to happen, to bring her out and expose her. It seemed that Carmella could not even get correct readings from it anyway," she said.

She looked around and then added, "My brother is not here yet. I am sure he will be arriving soon. He can be a pain at sometimes and even hard for me to read. I take it he has given you some trouble already? He does not like to get close to anyone. He was close to me at one point but even pushed me away. It's like his own personal curse he puts himself through. I don't blame you for any ill feelings you have toward him, he tends to bring that upon himself."

Marik was brought to the Natsuki household only to see Lerena and Renoko sitting there, almost waiting for them, and his sister standing there. What was she doing here?! "Isis...." he said with a lowered eyebrow.

"Marik...." she replied back.

"I see you couldn't even keep hold of your own item. What's the matter? Not as strong as you used to be?" he said sarcastically putting his hands on his hips.

"Dear brother..... must you be such a pain all the time? I would think that this change in enviornment would do well for you," she said calmly but also sarcastically.

"I'm doing perfectly fine Isis! Maybe you should get out more so you wouldn't become so rusty in your dueling! Let alone using your own powers!" he said getting angry with her. She always had a way of pushing his buttons! She was always calm and yet could retort any statement he sent at her.

"Mind you Marik, I do have responsibilities that I take very seriously, unlike someone else I know. And besides the fact, I do get out often," she added still keeping her cool.

"You know that those rules are a bunch of crock sister!" he hissed at her. "Especially now, the Pharaoh no longer has his puzzle," he said with a smirk- happy at the fact.

Isis' eyes widened for just a second. SHe then closed them and spoke, "I know, I saw it coming- I just did not know if it had happened already." She opened her eyes and spoke to Lerena, "Lerena, you must not give my brother the puzzle. I know you feel sorry for him and our family. Don't. This is our job. I know I can't sway you, but the Pharaoh did not forsaken us. His memories were locked up, he does not know who he is."

"That's such bullshit sister and you know it!" he shouted at her.

"Because of these events, Marik, something has awoke. Something that will prevent you from ever attaining your selfish goal. Call it a protection plan really. Events have been eschewed due to multiple incidents through the course of time. It's awakening has been delayed. But I assure you, it will set things right, the way things should be. And that includes you not obtaining the Puzzle dear Marik," she told him. "You have to let this hatred go. You are free now aren't you? Or perhaps you constantly feel the guilt of leaving your responsibilities. Is that will you still hate brother? I'll give you one more prophecy, as I know you love them so very much," she said sarcastically since he hated her predictions, "something very soon will quell your darkened heart. But something will always lurk in your soul. And the person you hate most is the only one that can save you."

"I've heard enough of you're mouth sister. Enough to last me a few more couple of months," he said nastily. He looked over to see Rishad laying on the ground. "Rishad!?" he said confused and worried. He passed by his sister and over to his protector. "What is he doing here?! What's wrong with him!?" he said tapping his cheeks lightly to wake him up.

"You can blame Carmella for that too. He'll be ok, I'll help him," she said.

"That ******** b***h!" he said clinging his fists. He wouldn't admit it, but Rashid was the closest person to him besides his sister. To him that was his family, and nobody messed with his family.

[[I'm not sure how you want to deal with Carmella, so I stopped here :3 besides I think that was a lot for him]]

"I'd love to go out and just take it back for you, but that's not how it works right?" he said refering to the ancient rules. "Well it seems to be in Lerena's possession, so that means that you probably only have to duel her. I believe you can do it! You have to! You're the rightful owner to the Puzzle Yuugi," he said trying to encourage his friend.

Akiko jumped out of the bed and washed her hands and the orb. After drying the item and her hands she looked at the orb again. Suddenly, a nurse came into her room.

"Oh! You're up! We were worried about you Akiko," she said looking at her chart. "We called you're parents, they said that they are sending you're cousin to come and get you. The doctor thinks you had a case of heat stroke. Have you ever passed out before?" she said.

"No, I've never passed out before. Or ever had something like this before. Wait my cousin is coming?!" she said.

"You're friends said you were outside for a while- that's how we came to the conclusion it was heat stroke. Did you have any fluids to drink while you were out there?" she asked again, "and yes, you're coming."

"No...." she said then realized, "my friends?"

"Yes, the tall blonde boy and the short spikey haired boy?" she replied. "I think we can say it was heat stroke, just be careful the rest of the day and stay hydrated ok?"

Akiko peeked outside of the door to see if she saw the two. Great, that's totally terrific. Black out while talking to potential friends and have them bring you to the hospital- gee wasn't she a ton of fun? She sighed and shut the door. She couldn't see them from were she was. "When did my cousin say he was getting here?" she asked.

"He'll probably get here in at least a few minutes. You should probably get dressed," she said leaving the room.

"Yea..." she said starting to change out of her hospital clothes and into her school clothes. She sighed again, her cousin was cool and everything, but he was probably going to tease her then lecture her about being healthy. God, he was like an older brother that she hasn't seen in years. He's always lived in Japan and she met him a few times when they came to visit.

She was fully dressed and she returned her gaze to the orb. It looked like she could wear it. Why not? It was nobody elses. She put it on and clipped the back so it would stay on. She closed her eyes for just a second.

Her eyes reopened to reveal white irises instead of her usualy green eyes. Within a second, everything Akiko knew- from memories to common knowledge- raced through her mind. This was no longer Akiko however. The item glowed. This new girl took a look around to get her barings. She looked at her new hands and smiled. "I've waited so long," she said in a calm and sophisticated voice. Her voice was slightly different, almost like Akiko's but more mature and wise like. Physically, she was basically the same. However, her bruises were disappearing slowly. This new soul was able to aid Akiko's unnatural ailments. The girl took off her glasses and put them on her head- Akiko still needed glasses but while she was in control, she didn't. This souls name was Ammeterasu, she remembered that much. She had all of Akiko's memories, but her own memories were hazy. Parts were easy to remember, others weren't. She knew there were pieces missing from her memory, she knew why too. And although it made her sad, she knew they would return after she finished what she was supposed to do. However, staying in this room was not going to help her get anywhere, she knew her host's cousin was coming. She had to leave before that. She forced Akiko's natural eye color to return. Only certain people could see her white irises. Particularly people with other Millennium Items.

She left the room taking her bags with her. She began to walk past Yuugi and Jonouchi when she was stopped.

"Hey you're up!" Jonouchi said walking over toward Akiko and stopping her. He put his hands on her shoulders and smiled. "We were worried! What happened?" he added.

Ammeterasu was shocked at first when she was stopped suddenly. She froze with her mouth open. "I....um......" she stuttered at first from being scared at his suddenness. She collected herself and replied, "It was just heat stroke. Nothing serious. They said I could leave now," she said and lied about the last part.

"As long as you're ok. What about you're parents?" he asked. He then took note about how nervous she seemed, "Are you ok? You look kinda frightened."

"Oh I already called them, they aren't coming," she lied again. "Frightened? No, I'm fine really. Why don't we get out of here?" she said trying to leave before Akiko's cousin came in to get her. She was also nervous because everything to her was new. She didn't know who the enemies were and who her allies were. She didn't know who these people were even though she had Akiko's memories. She had to snap out of it! She had things to do!

"Yea sure, ok. Yuug let's get out of here ok?" he said.

[[Ah so her other soul appears X3
I was thinking of having Ammeterasu (aka Amme for short) go and confront Lerena for the puzzle back. I don't know. That way Marik would have to try and get it back. A lot of Amme will be revealed when she talks to Atemu.

Oh and also, I wasn't sure if there should be any physical differences in Amme- I never really had any for her. x.X

Parts of her memories were locked up, but she'll explain why when she talks to Atemu. She doesn't know anybody from the past anymore but she knows about the items. Right now, she knows that the Puzzle is in the wrong hands but she doesn't know who it should go back to (untill of course Yuugi says something which he probably will next post since that is the topic he and Jonouchi have been talking about). It's weird because even though she knows the items, she doesn't know who they once belong to in the past. She remembers a lot about herself and what she was told to do. Basically (not going to get into detail) they locked her memories up so she could find the people she needed using her feelings- since they would lead her in the right direction. But more about that later]]

((Haha, awesome argument. XD!

That is a long name. I don't know how you remember it. Screw physical differences. If you don't want them, there doesn't have to be any. If you do, then you can have some. =3

I like the idea of Amme confronting Lerena for the Millennium Puzzle. She'd have to wait until Lerena got home though.

I want to leave Carmela prey to Marik. I like seeing him kick the a** out of people. It's just so amusing, and I don't care what you do with her. She's incapable of defending herself at the moment. Marik might as well kill her anyway.)))

"Lerena! You won!" said Justin. He ran up to her and hugged her, but was pushed away.

"Are you ******** crazy, you douchebag?! Never mess with my brother again! He's been in prison before for a reason!" she said angrily. She nodded at Isis after giving her back the Necklace. It was bloody thanks to Carmela. "I apologize for the blood, Isis. I bare no ill feelings towards your brother, but I understand that he does not return my feelings. She had to have gotten some correct readings, but I wouldn't be surprised if those were just memories from the true owner of the Necklace." said Lerena.

"Heh. Isis and Marik are bickering like we used to." she said chuckling. It was amusing seeing them argue.

"Don't be ridiculous. Our fights ended up with one of us bleeding every time. It was usually me." said Lerena with a sigh.

"Oh, that's right. We were arguing until Dante interrupted us. I didn't win it, so it will have to continue." said Renoko.

"Do you want to be punched?" asked Lerena.

Her eyes widened. "NO! NO! You can win this argument!" she said.

"I wonder why." Lerena remarked, looking at her with a satisfied smirk.

"s**t! I missed you two arguing!" Justin said regrettably.

"You have no right to speak, douchebag! What? We're not allowed to argue just because we're sisters?"

"I just thought that Lerena agreed with you about everything or at least she never tried to." retorted Justin. "I'm going out." he finished and left.

She snorted. "Did you hear that about Justin? He thought we never argued with each other."

"Well, we usually don't argue, but things change when you begin to nag me about how I handle my problems." explained Lerena.

"Quit being in denial, Sister! I know you still love him." she joked holding up a finger playfully.

She turned red. "I DO NOT! You are not my mother. I don't have to listen to you!"

"Yes, you do, because I'm your protector, remember? We've been over this. Don't make me repeat myself. Blushing also does not convince me that you don't love Marik anymore, you know."

Lerena snorted. "Don't talk about Marik like that when he's around to hear you. Besides, it takes longer than a few hours to truly get over him. I'm ******** working on it, okay?!"

"My method is always up to try." said Renoko with a soft snicker.

"You're dumb. I think you should be banished to the Corner of Punishment for your sins!" Lerena remarked. It was then that Isis stopped arguing with Marik and addressed her. "Excuse me for a moment, Renoko." she requested. She turned to the Isis. "Let me correct your reasoning, please. I wanted to get to know him. I wanted to believe that for once there was someone who truly knew how I felt. However, now I know that I have to accept how things are. You know why? He refuses to accept that he might feel 'slightly' attracted to me. He may not need love, but that does not mean it can't be something he wants. I can definitely see why he doesn't want to return my feelings though. The Millennium Puzzle probably won't be mine long, Isis. I have a feeling that Yuugi will be back to claim it pretty soon. On the other hand, give me one good reason not to give the Puzzle to Marik. It better be good enough for me to agree that he shouldn't have it. You obviously know about my 'feelings' for Marik if you can send me a note referring to my feelings for him." Lerena then turned around to pull out a note, then turned back to Isis. She handed out the note to her. "This is your hand-writing isn't it? I found it somewhere."

She heard something stirring in the background. "Damnit!" she cursed and ran back into the house. When she went inside, she was shocked to see Dante facing off against Jason.

"You damn delinquent! You're getting on my nerves!" said Jason angrily.

"You will not set Carmela free!" shouted Dante, pulling out two guns and shooting at him.

"s**t!" Jason shouted, attempting to run away from the insane delinquent.

She withdrew her own pistols which had previously not been used. She pointed them at Jason and shot at him as well.

With a sidestep, he angrily pulled out his own pistols. The two demonic children used the bullets from their guns to mess his weapons up and render his defenses useless. "You freaks are really unfair." said Jason.

--Outside the Natsuki Clan's Mansion.--

"I wonder what's going on in there..." muttered Lerena, who was really uninterested. "I hope Renoko's winning." she said casually. She knew that Dante had gone in there to make sure there was no one to set Carmela free. If he found someone, that was the ruckus going on at the moment. Renoko just joined that ruckus too. She was sure the ruckus was Jason vs. Dante and Renoko. Lerena sighed and looked at one of her hands. How much did her father know about the items? Was he careful when he created them or would there be a heavy price to pay for his creations? That didn't matter, because her father would know how to destroy these items when they were no longer needed.

There was another enemy she still had to defeat today. Justin was to blame for the situation she was in after all. Everything that had happened to her was Justin's fault. EVERYTHING. If Cobra hadn't attacked her, she would still be living in her village. Cobra only attacked her, because Justin hired him to do it. It was Justin's fault she had moved to Domino City. If she hadn't moved to Domino City, she would've never met Marik. If it wasn't for Justin, her heart wouldn't be breaking apart.

There was one problem though: the Demonic Sisters would have to return to their village to fulfill the second prophecy and finish off the Natsuki Clan's extended family. The school year was almost over since it was early May. Her family would be returning to their village so Renoko and Lerena could finish their senior year back home. It was only a matter of time before they were destined to return to their village so they could defend it from their next big enemy: the government of the United States. It was true: loving Marik would only bring her pain and suffering, because of the fact she had to go soon. It would be another couple of months before she left for her village again though. She still desperately wished for Marik's happiness yet could not find her own.

Yuugi was surprised that Akiko's parents didn't care enough to come get her, but she could've also explained that him and Jounouchi were around to help her. He nodded. As they left the hospital, Yuugi brought up the subject again. "I want my Millennium Puzzle back as soon as possible." he explained to Jounouchi. "If I don't have it, I can't find the Other Me's memories." thought Yuugi to himself. "What did they say it was, Akiko?" asked Yuugi. "Was it heatstroke? We were outside for quite a long time. I was getting pretty thirsty being outside for so long." he explained. "Well, at least you're okay now."

[[haha, Ammeterasu was the name of the wolf from Okami, which is the Sun Goddess in Shinto legend ^ ^' lol not Egyptian at all but what ever. It's pernounced (ah meh tur ah su) and I usually remember it by splitting it into three words: amme ter asu
X3 I'm weird, I know XD That's why eventually I just end up calling her Amme to make things easier.]]

"You do realize I'm right here?" he said with a sweatdrop when Renoko spoke about him and her sister's feelings for him.

Isis turned around and slapped Marik in the back of the head, "Stop being rude. You've done enough of that!"

Marik gasped and rubbed the back of his head. He growled at his sister but did not continue, for he heard a ruckus in the household. "That's right," he said with a wicked smirk, "I have unfinished business to deal with." He stood up and walked into the household. Renoko had already taken care of Jason, all that was left was Carmella. "It's hard to believe a pathetic c**t like you was able to beat my sister in a duel," he said with his hands in his pockets as he walked over to Carmella. "I mean really. Did you think you would last with something that wasn't yours? Something that belonged to the Ishtar family?" he added as he knelt down to Carmella. He grabbed her chin roughly and got in her face, "You sealed you're fate the second you touched that item. Nobody ******** with my family, got that? And now you'll pay the ultimate price for your greed."

Marik stood up and before Carmella. "May you rot in the shadow realm," he said in a low dark voice as his Millennium Rod shimmered. He pulled it back and swiped it- using it's sharpest edge to slash her throat. But what poured from her neck was not blood, but black goo. It poured out of her neck like a waterfall, it was black like her soul. She squirmed in agony- unable to reach for her neck in pathetic attempts to keep her substance within her. A dark aura struggled to pull away from her body, a ghastly goo like aura. Her soul was being trapped within the shadow realm, all Marik saw was a representation of this and the effects the rod had on her. His eyes grew insane, the other him stirred within him from the use of his dark powers. Although he was in no control, he still stirred and was not dormant at the moment.

Isis waited until her brother went inside to finish off Carmella. "I have no qualm with you wanting to get to know him or having feelings for him. In fact, I would prefer it. He is hard to deal with, but I do believe he can connect with someone, whether that be you or someone else," she said but obviously was leaving details out. She knew that Lerena could be the one to help her brother, and in return Marik could help Lerena. But there were forces that prevent such things to happen, particularly Marik's evil side. It was perhaps wrong to put such a fate on a young girl like Lerena, the job to cleanse a monster from him. But great things could happen if successful. She wasn't sure about girl's future though, it was hard to read both there futures. However, she could only see parts of Lerena's future only when Marik was included. And even then it wasn't a lot.

She smirked a little and continued, "He'll push you away and refuse you, but that's not what he wants to do. Think about it Lerena, he was stuck all his life in the tomb- away from everyone. Don't you think he would desire human contact? He does, I know it, but he does not know how to cope with things he does not know of. Not to mention his goals blind him from happiness and he has a horrible 'defensive wall' you could say."

She then looked at her seriously though, "But giving him the puzzle is completely out of the question. First of all, it's not his to control, it has one owner and one owner only. And it's not so much Marik that should never have it, it's the other self within him. Yes, that's right, there is something evil within his soul. And if IT obtains the puzzle, nothing with be saved, not you, not me, no one. It will be just as bad as if Carmella had all of the items. And if you need another reason, the puzzle has to return to Yuugi to defend against another enemy- one even more deadlier. One who's been a parasite to the world since ancient times. Even if Marik's other self never was to surface, if he kept the Puzzle to himself he will doom us all."

Isis paused then continued, "I know you do not like Yuugi but I also know you have no use for that puzzle. And hopefully these reasons are enough to make you change your mind."

She then decided to mention something else, "It's rather hard to see your sister's and your futures. I know you both have your own fates, but I do not know what they are. I do not know if they are in good intentions or foul. And because I am blind to your motives, I can not stop or prevent it. But I can prevent disaster that can and may occur due to the Millennium Items being misused." She then stopped and looked at Lerena's hand, "The original ones that is."

Isis really wanted to believe in her heart that Lerena and Renoko were not fated to bring destruction. She really wanted to believe it, but being unable to see their motives worried her.

When Marik was finished, he returned outside. He looked at his sister, telling her by just his look that he finished off Carmella. "Don't you have somewhere to go?" he said being the normal annoying little brother to his sister.

Isis rolled her eyes, "Don't you have something to say?"

"And what would that be?" he said unknowing.

Isis sighed, "You really need to work on etiquette and manners. My goodness brother. Do you not even know how to say 'thank you'?"

"What? to you?" he said to Isis.

"No Marik, to Lerena. She's the one who dealt with Carmella, she's the one who faced her, and she's the one who defended the Ishtar name. You owe her a thank you at least," she said.

Marik crossed his arms stubbornly. Why was Isis being all nice to Lerena? What did she know? What did she see? "Have you been poking around with that item already?" he said to his sister.

"I don't need to use my item to read certain things. I mean, surely you wouldn't put this much of a fight for a simple 'thank you' if there wasn't a reason now would you? And don't say it's because of dislike because you would have left by now. You're my brother, of course I know what certain reactions mean," she said. "You can't even look at her. What are you trying to hide from?"

Marik gritted his teeth, "You talk too much Isis." She knew something about today with what he felt. But what did he feel? So he opened up a little, so what? Was that reason for his sister to get on his case like this? What did she want him to say? And why couldn't he look at Lerena? He noticed that only after Isis brought it up. He peeked at her. Did he....... feel guilty about what he said? "Damn....." he muttered. Guilt was nothing he's ever felt before- he's never had any regrets before.

And Lerena kept looking at him to. What was she thinking? That he was a piece of s**t or something? "What? What do you want?" he said unknowing how to really start the conversation. "Stop looking at me like that. Are you still upset about the library? Well you were just getting too deep into things and asking all those questions!" he said then looked away from her. Everytime he went to open up a little, he ended up saying something mean and pushing her away. He sighed and thought for a moment. Where exactly was he going with this? Is he trying to pretend to thank her and apologize so his sister would stop nagging him? Was he trying to make things somewhat right? Was he doing this for Lerena? Damn it! He didn't even know why or what he was doing!

"Marik....?" she said about to scold him.

"What!?" he shouted at his sister.

"You want to say something then just say it. Stop beating around the bush," she said.

He growled at his sister. Pushy nag! "Look, I don't hate you despite what you think, ok? I hate a lot of people, but no I don't hate you. Thank you for getting to Carmella before me. I would have been to handle her but you got to her first and made things easily fun. Thanks for not getting your self killed either," he said though he was being direct and not very apologetic about it. He did mean it though, or at least he thought he did. He didn't know what he felt or thought right now. It was too complicated for him. At least it was a start for him. "What?" he said to Lerena seeing she was still just looking at him. It was obvious he was uncomfortable with trying to express himself.

Isis closed her eyes and chuckled softly, "Marik, you really are hopeless aren't you? You need to learn to treat your women better." She started to walk away from the two. "Well, with that I must return were I am needed. Again, thank you Lerena. And to you're sister as well. But my time here is past over. Maybe one day we will see each other again. And Marik, one day we will be united again. After you fulfill your fate. Which will happen," she said with a smirk. Isis then walked away.

Marik blew off her statement and crossed his arms, "Sisters...... annoying creatures......." He peeked over at Lerena and then sighed. He didn't know what to say to her really, but even without his sister there nagging him he felt he should say something. "What?" he said breaking the silence. He once again proved that his social skills were close to nothing.

Amme looked at him when he mentioned the puzzle. She searched Akiko's thoughts, seeing if it was the same item he spoke of. She knew nothing of Yuugi's puzzle or how he obtained it. "Tell me Yuugi, why is the puzzle so important to you?" she asked in a mature and almost confident style. It was almost like integrating him, yet she made it sound like she was just asking. "Even more importantly, how did you come across it?" she added.

"I'd say let's go get it now, rematch right now. Just you and her! Let's go to her house right now and get it," Jonouchi said.

"And do you know where she lives?" Amme asked.

"Sure do!" he said telling her the address and how to get there from there.

"Ah but good things come to those who wait," she said stopping in front of them both and lifting up her finger. "Don't you think planning before going in would be the better plan? And it will be dark in a few hours, do you really want to face off in the dark? My suggestion would be to call it a day for now. Relax, gather your strength, and be focused to reclaim what is your tomorrow. They'll be relaxed and you will be ready," she said trying to convince them to give up for today. She didn't want them to know that she was going after the puzzle herself. She wasn't keeping it for herself- of course not! She had to find it's true owner, and she had to do so with blind eyes once more. Except this time, she was not actually blind. But she was blinded from her memories. When the orb felt it was time, she would get them back- that fact she knew.

"They claimed it was heatstroke," she answered Yuugi's question. "Yes, that's what they said. It's never happened, but I'm sure it won't happen again," she added smiling a little and nodding. "Yes, I'm very well now. I'm feeling very good," she added. Of course she felt good, she heeled all of Akiko's irregular ailments.

"Being a bit strategic aren't you?" Jonouchi commented. "But seriously, we need it back, now," he said.

"I swear to you Jonouchi, he'll get it back tomorrow. I can just tell," she said very sure of herself.

"Heh, are you doing that thing again? You're little gift?" he said.

"Prediction? No, that's not a gift I have. Maybe we should just call it women's intuition like you said before," she said smoothly and almost a little slyly.

"Man you've been acting weird since you knodded out like that. You sure you are ok?" he said not really thinking too much about it.

"Jonouchi I'm perfectly fine, really," she said.

"Well ok, if you say so," he said.

((My guess is how Jounouchi got their address XD! It's okay for him to have it. I just find it to be hilarious, because Jounouchi was never a victim of either sister's wrath. It just makes Jounouchi seem like a stalker to have their address, lol.))

"Okay. Dante, we need something to use against the Natsuki Clan's extended family." said Renoko. "Anything you can think of?"

He nodded. "We should be alone right now unless this place is haunted." joked Dante with a smirk.

"You do not amuse me, Dante." she retorted. "I know that Marik dealt with Carmela, but I'm not sure how. Actually, I'm not sure I want to know." said Renoko with a face-palm. "Let's go to their hidden office. They do have one, right?"

"It would be in the adult's bedroom." said Dante. "I'm not sure where it is, but I'm sure we can figure it out. Justin's father is due to return from a business trip next week so we're safe to explore for any crap we want to find."

"Dante, would you be interested in taking the Millennium Puzzle?" she asked. "It can be a reward for helping us."

"I am not interested in the Millennium Items. I do like power, but there are some things I should not have. I made a big deal about it before because Mother and Father never get me anything I want unless it's food or clothes. They spoil you two like princesses." said Dante sarcastically. "I'd think that my behavior has increased a considerable amount since I was first adopted. I deserve a reward or two."

"Hm. Well, if that's the case, maybe Lerena and I should just return the Puzzle to Yuugi. I just wanted it out of impulse and we don't really need it anymore. It's kind of stupid for us to keep something that isn't ours." said Renoko. "I have no interest in dealing with Yuugi and the others. There's nothing Yuugi and his friends can give me."

"Be careful or you will surely have a sad fate." warned Dante. "I don't want to lose you or Lerena."

"Sister always has the tendency to get jealous of others, but the right person will make her realize what she truly wants. I have to let my sister become more independent. I've been holding her back for far too long."

Dante nodded. "Lerena is a follower, but she's beginning to discover herself. I'm going down the same path at the moment actually. That's how I can recognize that she's doing the same thing."

"It seems you're beginning to retire from being a delinquent." said Renoko. "Well, don't let go of those good traits being a delinquent gave you." she requested.

"I'm not retiring any time soon. I still have a role to play. When this is all over, you can expect me to become the same idiot brother I was before. The only difference is I may or may not respect you more." he said with a dark smirk. "Anyway, we're at the master's bedroom. I believe we'll find an entrance somewhere in the wall."

She raised an eyebrow. "So the Natsuki Clan is going movie style, are they?" she pointed out with another face-palm.

"It was a joke." said Dante. He walked in. "There we go. There's a door in here, but it's probably locked." Dante used the hairpin to unlock the door, but was surprised when it appeared to be unlocked already. He walked into the office to see a note addressed to the Demonic Sisters. "Here, it's for you." Dante retorted sarcastically, handing the note to Renoko.

Renoko opened it.

The note read, "If for some reason Carmela fails to defeat you two, it's too late. Carmela is not aware that I will not be returning home. Her son and I have had it with her crap. I'm not sure if this message will make it to the Demonic Sisters, but I have a fiancee and the divorce papers have already been filed. This is why Carmela treats Justin like crap: because he's the reason I realized that Carmela is not a proper mother. Good luck, Demonic Sisters. When the time comes, the two of you will be defeated in a fair match. All you need to know now is that our house has been relocated. To whomever it may concern, Justin will get what he desires. He's gone a bit...insane. I will help him get back on the right track however. Anyhow, it's time for me to bid you farewell. Good bye Sisters, and farewell Carmela. I will not bother with a proper closure."

"Hm. Interesting. Apparently Justin and his father are abandoning Carmela. I'm not sure what the full details are, but they thought she had lost it." Renoko said with a chuckle. She handed the letter to Dante. "Fold this and put it in your pocket. This may not be his hand-writing. If I am correct, it could be Cobra's. Their hand-writing is similar, but not the same. We'll need to get it dusted for fingerprints."

He nodded. "So, Cobra is really as badass as he appears?" Dante asked.

"Cobra despises Justin's father. He met him when I was dating Justin's brother Kiba. That's beside the point. If Cobra got a hold on him before we did, there's nothing to worry about: Justin's father is dead." explained Renoko. "Nevertheless, we'll still need the note fingerprinted so we know whether to chase after Justin's father or not."

Dante nodded. "What's with this 'prophecy' crap anyway? Did the Helena Clan just make it up to give you two purpose?"

"Prophecies are all made up." said Renoko with a smirk. "However, that doesn't mean they can't be fulfilled. I get bored in my life. I want it to have meaning." Renoko remarked. "I don't believe that the Helena Clan is destined to overthrow the government. I do believe we may be fated to save our village though." she answered. "Some of them are probably just made up because people get bored."

"I see." said Dante. "That makes sense."

She didn't care that Marik was being direct. It wasn't something that would get the best of her, but she kept staring at Marik almost surprised that he was telling these things to her. "Your welcome. I was a bit lost in thought and you're easy to stare at. Additionally, I know you don't want to hear this, but I'm not nagging you: I'm informing you. It's such a boring life only wanting to obtain one thing. If you meet your goal, what's left after that? Happiness or destruction? It's bad to keep your emotions locked up. If you find that you want something that doesn't relate to your current goals, you should still go for it. This is just some advice for the future. I was just asking those questions earlier, because I wanted you to feel part of the conversation. I'm also curious by nature and I believe that if someone asks questions, I should be able to ask questions as well." said Lerena. It was strange talking to Marik again. He probably wasn't interested in anything she had to say, but nevertheless, he wanted to know what was on her mind. Why shouldn't she say it? She was a blunt person and not even a simple crush could stop that. "On a lighter note, even if your sister made you show some gratitude, I'm still grateful to hear you say thanks. It's okay if your social skills suck; mine aren't all that great either. I know you don't need love; I don't either. That doesn't mean it still can't be something a person wants. I have a lot of goals in order to sustain a life worth having. If you only have one goal, you'll never have happiness. Everyone should want that."

"May I ask why you know where they live, Jounouchi?" asked Yuugi sarcastically. "The Puzzle is important to me, because it was given to me by my grandfather. He was the one that found it, not me. I solved the Millennium Puzzle and put it together. Apparently no one else had been able to do it. Anyway, I agree. It's best that we have a plan before we get ready to battle against the sisters again." He had to agree that Akiko was acting strange, but her strange behavior could help him get the Millennium Puzzle back again. Though Yuugi only gave Akiko a half-hearted reply about why the Puzzle was important to him, he didn't think it was okay for him to tell her about his other self inside it. Most likely she wouldn't believe him anyway. It was absolutely important for him to stay on the realistic side even if Akiko was a friend and he could trust her.

[[lol I dunno why he would have it XD ]]

"Hey don't look at me like that!" he said with a laugh. "This kid was head over heels for Renoko. She didn't want to date her. He told me where she lived and asked me to...... do certain things that one not dare to do," he paused then explained, "Ok, he wanted me to sneak a camera into their house to watch them..... you know. Don't look at me like that! I didn't do it. Only a mad man would do that! Plus, even if it was any other girl I wouldn't do that! I mean, I may be called a perv but I'm not a creeper!"

Ammeterasu listened carefully and took note of what he was saying. If he did solve the puzzle, then it was true that he was the owner. But he could have been bluffing. It wasn't that she didn't want to believe him, she just had to be sure. She was told that people would try and deceive her, that's why she couldn't trust anyone. She had to use her feelings to determine what was true and what was false. She only replied by saying, "I see."

"Well, I would love to plan with you two but I really should get going," she said.

"You're leaving?!" Jonouchi said a little shocked at first.

"I did black out before you know. I really should get home," she said logically. "I'm sure you two can come up with a plan for tomorrow," she said. "Well, I'll see you guys tomorrow," she said nodding them off and walking 'home'. However, what she didn't tell them was that she was on her way to Lerena's and Renoko's house. Surely if she told them she was going there they would not let her or would try to tag along.

When Akiko was gone Jonouchi commented, "She probably should go home, she's acting a bit weird. Probably not all there since the black out."

Marik usually would be splitting angry if someone was telling him how to live. But he wasn't. He gave her the opportunity to speak and listened. "What's left after my goal is for me to decide when it comes," he said. Surely he did not want to destroy the world, he just wanted power over it. What good is power if he bring destruction? And surely with his power he would be happy, wouldn't he? And yet he couldn't give her a straight answer because he did not know.

"You should take you're own advice," he said when she mentioned about locking up emotions. He realized only after she said it about him- that was what he felt that was different about her. During her duel- her emotions were gone. Strange though, he usually could never detect something like that in another person- he wasn't as emotionally tuned in as other people were. And he said it not to be spiteful so much, but because he didn't like her when she was like that. Not that he liked her at all! Or so he told himself over and over again.

When she was finished, he re framed from witty hurtful remarks. He closed his eyes and thought for a moment. "Well, we shall see," he said in a low however calm voice. He didn't know what exactly to say to her. He could open up to her and tell her things without fear of his plans or goals being ruined. But he still was not an open person. He saw no reason to tell her things about him. She would not find them interesting really. And why did he care about sharing things? This woman made him think the strangest things. "You had a long day, you should rest," he said feeling he had to get out of there before he did something weird again like the library. He nodded to her slightly and walked past her.

Really though, it was a long day for him. About midway to his house he stopped and realized something. He growled to himself and then shouted, "<********! I forgot about the puzzle!" He face palmed and growled more. How could he have had that slip his mind? He completely forgot to ask (or demand?) for it. He not once mentioned it when he was talking to her! What the hell was wrong with him???

Sitting on Lerena's steps to her house was Ammeterasu. She waited patiently for the girl to return home. When she saw her she stood up and nodded to her. "Hello Lerena," she said in a mature and slightly elegant voice. She reached out her hand in front of her and asked, "I've come here for the Millennium Puzzle. May I have it back?" She smiled calmly, her eyes were serious yet inviting. She did not bother to hide her white eyes from her- for it did not matter if Lerena could see her true eyes or not. "I'm not here to start a fight, I'm just simply asking for the item back. I know for a fact it is not yours- I'm just trying to give it back to it's original owner," she added. Amme looked down at Lerena's hands- she could tell she had an item but knew not of what her's was. For no item she knew of was like the one she felt, "What dwells in your hands?"

On her way home, Lerena was thinking about what Isis said, but Marik's words seemed to overpower her thoughts each time. He told her to rest, but he still wanted the Millennium Puzzle from her. Why was he so kind to her when he clearly had other things on his mind besides her happiness? She was confused. Furthermore, he said she shouldn't lock her emotions up. What was Marik's true intentions? Isis would've been able to see Marik's dark side, but it was quite possible that Marik was not aware that it existed. If that was the case, she couldn't let him have the Millennium Puzzle, even if she loved him enough to give it up easily.

"I see you're doing alright, Akiko." said Lerena. She could see that her eyes were white, but she didn't know why she could see them that way. Even though it was clear that this was not Akiko, she didn't know of a name to address Amme by so she picked the name of her body hostess. "I'm glad that my duel did not put too much stress on you. On the other hand, I don't have the Millennium Puzzle on my person as you can clearly see. It's inside my house which I'll need to get inside of if you truly want the Millennium Puzzle. The original owner? You speak as if you don't know it's Yuugi. I have no intention of using my item on you, but if you so desire, I will show you what dwells within." explained Lerena.

She crossed her right arm over her chest and one of the Millennium Claws took its place. When Amme had time to look at her item, it vanished again. "Care to tell me who you are? I know that you are not Akiko." Before Amme could respond, Dante and Renoko appeared on either side of Lerena, confused.

"Akiko, if you wish to take the Millennium Puzzle back from my sister, you should wait until tomorrow. It is getting late and your parents will be worried about you." she said darkly.

"I wish to get inside my house, girl. If you have business with my sisters, at least let me pass."

"It's okay, Renoko. You said it yourself that you only wanted the Puzzle on impulse, right? Well, we have no true use for it. We might as well give it back." pointed out Lerena.

"But for Yuugi to have the Puzzle again...he does not deserve it. That's why I thought you could give it to Marik as proof of your love for him." she replied mischievously.

Her cheeks flushed red. "But you don't understand. He and I are...similar. We'll talk about it once we've given up the Puzzle. Isis explained to me why Marik should not have the Puzzle and I don't want to be responsible for the end of the world." explained Lerena.

"Oh. Well, if you put it that way, we really have no choice but to give it back before he comes after us. Alright, Akiko, we'll give you the Millennium Puzzle. However, you have to duel Lerena for it. Lerena will use her real deck for this duel, but understand that she will not lose on purpose. You have to prove that you are worthy to have the Puzzle back before we give it up to you. Is this understood?" asked Renoko. She hoped that Akiko would agree to these terms. It would just be a friendly duel so ownership will transfer from Lerena to Akiko. "After all, I am sure you are aware of the ancient rules?" Renoko added questioningly. "It'll just be a friendly duel, but also realize that ownership has to be transferred to you first."

Lerena nodded. She was willing to duel alone just this once so she would not stand in the way of Marik's goals. She didn't want to be seen as his enemy.

"So complicated and after you two had just gotten the Millennium Puzzle." said Dante with a sigh.

"Don't worry, Dante. If I am fated to lose, then I will lose." she said with a comforting smile. "So, what will it be, Akiko?"

"Someone into Renoko? That's kind of creepy. Anyway, I'm glad you didn't do it. I don't want my best friend being a creep." said Yuugi. "Yea, she should go home. We need to go home as well." he explained. "If you want, you can stay over at my house so we can discuss how to get the Millennium Puzzle back from the Demonic Sisters. Otherwise, we'll see each other tomorrow." Yuugi really wanted to make sure his other self was okay. If he was hurt in any way or if the sisters did anything to him, he would never forgive them. Though Yuugi was normally a nice person, the sisters were definitely a reason to fight back with all he had. Next time, he would be ready for their sticky tactics.

"I'll stay at your house," he said almost automatically. He hated going home because of his father. So he usually spent a lot of time with Yuugi or Tristan. Jonouchi would sneak back into his house late at night when he knew his father was dead asleep. "Besides, it looks like you could use the company," he added. He knew he was probably upset about losing the puzzle and his other self. He couldn't blame him. They could come up with a plan at his house and even just relax for a little bit.

[[you don't have to respond with Yuugi to that. We'll just stop with these two until the next day]]

"Yes, the duel did have a strange effect on me you could say. But thank you for your concern," she said maturely and not sarcastically in the least bit. She was not one to have a silver tongue when it was not needed. "I don't know if it is Yuugi. It's hard to explain and I'm sorry about that. I wish I could explain more so," she said. "I know you will not use it on me. But I can tell they caused you pain. I generally worry for others and whether or not they are in pain," she said examining them as Lerena showed them to her. It was a strange item, much like the Millennium items but different.

Amme was about to respond to her when Renoko and Dante arrived. She moved over quietly for the impatient boy, paying no real mind to him but letting him pass as he wished. She wait patiently and listened to the sisters as they spoke. "I am aware of the ancient rules. However my item allows me to over look those rules. Owner ship will never go to me, but I have the power to give ownership to the puzzle if I have it. It calls me to return the item to it's true owner. However, it is not fair to simply take it from you after you did win it in a duel. And because of that, I will accept your duel," she said to them.

"Lerena, to answer your question from before, no, I am not Akiko. Her body may be hers but this is not her soul. My name is Ammeterasu, however you can continue calling me Akiko if you prefer," she said knowing it did not matter if she told her who she was or not- she knew it was not Akiko.

Amme reached into her bag and brought out her deck. She knew it was there because she knew Akiko brought almost everything with her. She seemed to be a little OCD really to be caring all this stuff with her. No matter, she had what she needed. She brought out her deck and took off her bags. She began to shuffle, "I'm glad this is a friendlier duel, I prefer them this way anyway. But play with all your might none-the-less, I will do no less as well."

Marik headed to his house. He dropped his stuff as he walked in. He locked the door, a habit he always had. He sighed, he was exhausted. It was almost dark and he was already ready to sleep. He laid on the couch, needing at least a second to himself. Stupid sister...... always messing with his head. Women seemed to be good at that. He closed his eyes for a moment. Alright, so some girl was sort of like him. Big deal? But was that why he felt...... connected? Is that what they call it? He thought about what she said, wanting more then one thing in life. Sure, that made sense. He was used to living his whole life alone, and now he had someone who well, understood him at least. It was a first for him.

He was to the point where he no longer wanted to use her. She had the puzzle, he could duel her and win it from her. It didn't even have to be a sour duel. He did not want to hurt her again like he did before. For some reason, that loomed over him- made him feel sick to his stomach. And because he knew what type of person he was and how easily he can hurt people, he did not want to get close to her. And yet, because they were so close to each other, he almost wanted to have somewhat of a connection. "Damn it!" he cursed at himself. Now that he was so close to getting the puzzle he was thinking these irrational thoughts. All of them were! And he hated both alternatives- he hated the idea of avoiding her and he hated the idea of letting his guard down. And for the first time in his life, he didn't know what to do.

[[I dunno if you want to skip the duel. But I guess afterwards we'll wrap up the day and start the next one? haha! I'm going to have Akiko come into school upset because her parents yelled at her for not waiting at the hospital. And she's going to keep saying that her cousin brought her home because there was no way she could have gotten home otherwise and Jonouchi's going to say something like, 'Dude, you're starting to really scare me now.' XD She'll have the puzzle in her bag an not even know XD Not until Amme comes back the next day]]

((ROFL! I love that idea. XD I'm going to skip the duel and to after Amme left with the Millennium Puzzle. I still want Lerena and Renoko to have a discussion though. Guest starring: Lerena's parents. XD I got carried away with this post. I tend to do this a lot. I decided to have Lerena's parents have a chat of their own just so you can get a bit of an idea about where Lerena and Renoko's motives lie.))

After the duel ended, Amme left with the Millennium Puzzle. She was shocked that her sister lost. "Show me your hand." she ordered.

Lerena showed her hand to Renoko. "I could've won, but the Millennium Puzzle does not belong to me. Yuugi is of no interest to either of us, so why should we pick on him?"

"Indeed." said Renoko. "Sister, there is something important that you have to do." she said seriously. "I have been hiding things from you; friendships from our village. Do not be alarmed, Sister. You will join us, won't you?"

Her eyes widened as she looked at her hands. "What must I do?" she asked.

"You must get a tattoo on your back, but yours will be different, Sister. Miyu-sama has taken notice of you and therefore you must receive the holy tattoo to show your eternal gratitude. It must be in black ink, and then, you must perform the sacrifical ritual." explained Renoko.

"Miyu-sama has...I'm honored. I will do both things." she decided.

"I am both enlightened by your decision and worried by it." confessed Lerena's sister. "You will be properly taken care of. I promise."

The two sisters went down to the Boiler Room. It was the only place that Lerena's mother felt like doing the tattoo. As Lerena's mother was giving Lerena the Holy Tattoo of Miyu-sama, she rested her head in her hands. "I'm afraid, Renoko. I don't want to be in love." she said with a sigh.

"We've been over this. Don't hold back your emotions. It's dangerous." she said.

"I don't know why, but it seems that Marik is starting to actually care about me." she said as she folded her arms and rested her head.

"I'm not surprised. Your charm is irresistable." she said with a soft smirk.

"Lerena, you're in love? Why didn't you tell me this? I can help you, but the ultimate decision is up to you." said her mother.

"I'm pleased that my daughter is finally receiving the Tattoo of Loyalty." said Draku, Lerena's father. "It's such a great moment for Lerena to obtain all her greatest desires. However, she's in love? Does this man even understand the pain she has gone through?"

"I need no help. I'll be fine." said Lerena. "He's been through a lot of pain, Father. I think he can understand."

"Oh, that's right. How did it go with Carmela?"

"The Millennium Necklace is back with its rightful owner. Carmela may be dead since Marik dealt with her earlier."

"You're in love with a murderer? Seriously, Lerena. What does that say about you? Don't end up like Cobra."

"It's fine dear. Carmela is still our enemy and we are fated to bring destruction to the Natsuki Clan."

"Father, did Dante show you the letter?" she asked.

"Cobra did indeed write that letter, Renoko. He has done awful things, but he is still apart of the Helena Clan. I want to accept him as part of the family again. Cassie dear agrees that he should be accepted as long as he does not betray us again and he goes through a period of probation."

"No way! You'd forgive him for hurting Lerena?"

"He is my brother, Renoko. No matter how many times I deny it, I still care for Cobra. We used to be really close and I don't want to lose him."

"I see." said Renoko with a sigh. "Very well. If you and Mother will trust him, so shall me and Lerena. Listen, Lerena. You may very well owe Marik's interest in you to Cobra. If he hadn't given you those scars, Marik may have dismissed your very existence."

"But he's foul! Why should we accept him again?!" she asked angrily.

"He may be sorry for what he did. I'm not quite sure." explained Renoko. "I saw sorrow in his eyes the day I fought him, but I refused to show weakness."

"I'm done with your tattoo, Lerena dear. Please be careful when you conduct the Sacrificial Ritual." cautioned Lerena's mother with a sigh. "It's hard to believe that we still conduct such rituals in this day and age. It's cruel."

"We're the Demonic Sisters, Mother. We can handle it. Lerena, prop your legs onto the stool underneath the desk in the center of the room. This will hurt, but it is a sign of your loyalty to Miyu-sama and that you will put dedication into your friendship." explained Renoko.

"Pain? I have suffered so much of it that I no longer suffer when I feel it. In fact, it's almost like a peaceful waterfall." said Lerena apathetically. She walked in the center of the room and propped her legs onto the stool underneath it.

After the ritual, the proper bandages and medication was applied to the wounds. "You did well, Sister." she said gently. "I'm sorry you had to go through that. Our village has a strict code of loyalty."

"I will sacrifice anything in order to have what it is I crave." pointed out Lerena.

"Are you okay with walking?" she asked.

Lerena nodded. "I'm not that weak. So, what was that note?"

"It was a note basically stating that Justin and his father were abandoning Carmela. However, it seems that Cobra has killed him. I'm not sure why though." answered Renoko. "Anything else you wish to discuss before we call it a night?"

"Should I continue trying to be with Marik?" asked Lerena.

"Lerena, of course you should." said Lerena's mother, Cassie. "I can't bare for you to suffer. You need a man to connect with. Just be careful, alright? If he's a murderer, we don't know if he'll come after you or not."

"He no longer has a reason to. I lost the Millennium Puzzle."

"What?! Is he a collector of the Millennium Items?"

"No, but he does possess the Millennium Rod. His sister Isis possesses the Millennium Necklace. To be honest, I wonder what he thought of my Millennium Claws."

"He probably thought we were meddling in affairs we knew nothing about." pointed out Renoko. "Usually with things like this, the reaction is of a similar nature."

"I'm a mad scientist. It's my job to meddle in affairs I know nothing about. Your man sounds difficult to put up with, Lerena. I hope you know what you're doing."

"Lerena seems deadset on winning Marik's heart."

She sighed. "He told me not to follow my own advice, which is to not lock up my emotions."

"He did? Wow. That's surprisingly good advice. Maybe he is starting to care about you." she pointed out.

"Renoko, do you think I'm an emotional masochist?" asked Lerena.

"A what? Lerena, why would you think this?"

"He was so rude to me earlier, but I was still interested in him after that. Even though I wanted to refuse my love for him, I still got the Millennium Necklace back for Isis. Do you think loving Marik will bring me pain?" she asked her mother.

"I'm sure that if he hurts you, it's not his intention." said Renoko in a wise voice. "Perhaps that's why you still love him? You actually realize this?"

"Pain is a good reminder that we are all human and that we're still alive. Additionally, we can grow from it and pleasure may even sprout from pain."

"Thanks, masochist. You're not helping." said Renoko sarcastically. "What Father is trying to say is this: if you survive the pain, it can have its rewards. Never give in when you have to face a trial, my dear sister."

"Thank you. Mother, Father, can you two please leave the room?" she asked.

She laughed at Draku's horrified face full of curiosity, before Cassie dragged him out of the Boiler Room. "Lerena, are you confused?"

"I haven't been in love for six years, Renoko. Why do you think I want to start now?" she asked. "I'm afraid to get close to him, and yet, I'm afraid to close up my emotions of love. I know from experience that locking up my emotions is especilaly bad, because of Darla. Help me, Renoko. What am I supposed to do with myself? I'm not supposed to feel love. I gave it up a long time ago."

"You don't have to feel pressured to not love him for my sake, Lerena. I told you this. Please understand that sometimes you just have to let things happen."

"He'll hurt me. I tell myself this constantly, and yet, the very idea seems absurd each time I repeat it. Why?"

"Love tends to blind us from the truth, but perhaps you should give him a chance. Maybe he's your Destined One." she remarked.

"Big whoop. So he's like my type in every damn way. Whatever." she said with a roll of her eyes.

"You want to get close to him, but he seems to have this protective barrier. You should use your power of persuasion to get him to let you in. You can bring him so much pleasure." she suggested.

Lerena blushed. "You're weird. Anyway, who are these friends of yours? I want to meet one of my new friends." she said with a smile.

"Maybe tomorrow in P.E. if you're not busy trying to seduce Marik into being with you." Renoko teased.

She blushed harder. "Shut up!" she ordered.

--Conversation Between Cassie and Draku.--

"So it has happened. I knew it was a bad idea to enroll Lerena into this school. Not only has she fallen in love, she could be blinded from our goals!" said Cassie, biting onto one nail. "We should just move back to the village."

"Love, don't you think it's time we loosen up? Lerena should definitely listen to what her emotions tell her. We don't want Darla surfacing."

"That's just it. If Lerena falls in love, we always run the risk of her surfacing even with the effects of the medication. Darla is strong enough to overcome Lerena's medication. Unfortunately, she's not old enough to take a higher dosage."

"You're worrying too much, Cassie. Lerena will be fine. I don't believe that Darla will resurface so easily. The Millennium Claws were specifically made to keep Darla from surfacing against Lerena's will."

"What if Lerena decides that she wants Darla in control?"

"Are you afraid of Darla, Cassie?" he asked.

"Darla is true evil, but the Helena Clan is not. I want someone to save her. Renoko seems unable to do it and a man saving Lerena is unheard of."

"It may only be the beginning. Love, Lerena is insane enough to let her emotions control her. She could go on a rampage to get some attention from Marik."

"You're joking. I don't mind the thought of our daughters having extreme power. However, murder? Lerena and Renoko...are they really fated to bring destruction and become like Cobra?"

"That may be the case. Dante told me earlier about Marik's dark side. Maybe Marik and Lerena are fated to save each other. If a man saving Lerena was truly unheard of, would she have fallen in love with Marik?" pointed out Draku.

"I'm worried. What if Marik finds a reason to use the Rod on Lerena?" asked Cassie. "I don't want my daughters getting hurt because Lerena's interest in Marik goes too far."

"It may or may not be too late to save her."

"It's not too late if they transfer." remarked Cassie.

"You're taking her love for Marik too seriously. After all, remember how I won your heart?"

"That was different. I was about to fall for a criminal."

"You're keeping secrets from our children. You should show them your true personality instead of trying to be a normal mother. You're not a normal mother, Cassie. I just kept a secret for Renoko. I wasn't supposed to know about Lerena's crush on Marik until she brought it up."

"Marik. Mind control and a dark side... Lerena definitely needs to transfer immediately. I won't let that man near my daughter!"

"You're being a bit too judgmental, Cassie. Lerena's beginning to develop traits for her future as an adult. You can't keep protecting her. Perhaps she likes it dangerous, hm?"

"Why would she like it dangerous?" asked Cassie as she sipped her wine gently. "If she becomes tainted like her mother, she cannot be saved."

"You think that Miyu-sama has forsaken you, my Love?"

"Miyu-sama is sending my daughter in the same diretion as me. She could repeat my mistakes. In fact, she could go a lot further than I ever did: she could be driven to murder."

"Would Lerena truly murder for the sake of Marik?"

"If she becomes like me, she would." answered Cassie. "Draku, whether I am seen as a demon or a goddess, I will always protect you."

"I know, Cassie. I will always protect you as well. Please don't be afraid of the darkness inside your heart."

She snickered. "I'm not afraid of the darkness in my heart." she pointed out. "I just don't want Lerena or Renoko to walk my same path: the path of darkness. Tell me, Draku, what do you think their motives are currently?"

"As it would seem, Lerena's motives lie in obtaining Marik and Renoko's lie in protecting Lerena." he said with a smile as he embraced Cassie.

"If only I could be sure my daughters wouldn't get out of control." said Cassie with a sigh.

He snickered. "Yes, well. Only time will tell." he said darkly.

--Conversation Between Dante and Lerena.--

Lerena found her way out of her room in the darkness and then walked down the hall. When she got to the gates in front of her mansion, she was met with Dante. He was holding a flashlight.

"What are you doing, Sister?" he asked. "Escaping to cause mischief are we?"

"What are you doing out here, Dante?" she asked. "We have school in the morning."

"I have insomnia. I developed it when I was very young due to fear of losing my life. What do you plan to do?" asked Dante, concerned for his sister.

"I honestly don't know."

"You don't want Cobra to find you, do you?" he remarked. "However much I may admire him, he is still dangerous and far worse than a simple delinquent."

"I have to find myself again, Dante. A simple walk into the night should help me do just that. I need my thoughts to be pulled together."

"Can't a talk have the same appeal? Don't you trust in Renoko?"

"She does not approve of Darla."

"In time, Sister, she will. Shall we go on a walk together? Is Marik on your mind?"

She began walking with Dante. "Mother is pretending to support my love for Marik, but really she is afraid that he'll hurt me. I heard it in her voice. She wants me to transfer."

"You can read Mother that easily? I have to eavesdrop to hear her true personality."

"I've done my fair share of eavesdropping. Don't think I haven't done it." retorted Lerena. "I know who she truly is. She's dark and tormented. I'm not sure what path she's actually taken or which side she's on though."

Dante nodded. "I see. Well, in a few minutes, I want to start heading back home. Is this alright with you, Lerena?"

"I'm starting to get tired." said Lerena. "I'm not sure why. I was awake a few minutes ago, but now I feel as if I'm about to faint."

"Then you definitely need some rest." said Dante, escorting her back to the house. He stopped at the door. "Why do you love Marik?" he asked her.

"He's the closest to a friend I have. I doubt that he considers me one, but I don't really care. I don't consider him a friend either, just someone I'd like to connect with."

"Ah, so he's just a crush to you? Well, be careful. If you get hurt, Mother and Father will never forgive me. They're starting to lighten up around me though. When I told them how you two were acting towards me, their hatred seemed to vanish. However, they're still a bit cautious about giving me full freedom." he explained.

"Mhmm. Good night, Dante." said Lerena, as she sneaked back into her room. When she got to her bed, she drifted off to sleep.

Amme won the duel against Lerena, this time. She was a good duelist, both her and Akiko. Though Akiko thought herself to only be average. She took the puzzle from Lerena, nodded, and went on her way. There wasn't much to be said, besides Renoko and Lerena began their own conversation. Amme made her way back to Akiko's house. As she walked, she examined the puzzle, looking at every detail while running her fingers across it's surface. "It's the puzzle, just like I remembered it," she said to herself. Though it bothered her that there was close to nothing else she knew about it. And it only bothered her so because she felt there was an importance. And by importance, it wasn't the fact that it held a soul that would save the world again. No. There was something more to the item. Perhaps the soul? She knew it was the Pharaoh's soul, and that was it. She admitted to herself that it was a rather bothersome situation- these unknowns and feelings, but she knew it had to be done.

Her item, the magic that was put on it rather, did not allow her to remember. The elders told her that she would be fooled by her memories in the future- that what she knew then could prevent her from what she had to do. And what she had to do was to make sure nobody foul ever got a hold of the puzzle. The elders predicted evil hands obtaining the puzzle. And if that was to happen, the world would end.

Amme had always had a keen sense of people and who they really were. The orb only heightened that power. It was like she was going in blind, using her instincts to guide her since they were so sharp.

She made it back to her house, well, Akiko's house. She had a feeling Akiko's mother would be angry for leaving the hospital, so she snuck into Akiko's room from her outside window. Akiko really should fix her window's lock. She got into the room with the Puzzle in hand. She closed her door, locked it, and then closed her window. She really couldn't do much tonight, she'd have to wait to talk to Yuugi tomorrow. He claimed that he solved the puzzle- if so then he would have to know about the spirit in the puzzle. If he doesn't, then he was not the owner of the Puzzle- she would know that right away.

She put the Puzzle in Akiko's bag- that way she would have it with her tomorrow. She changed into night clothes and crawled into her bed. Akiko would sure be frightened if she found herself in her bed suddenly. So Amme decided to go to sleep in her body, she'd give her back her body tomorrow and stay in the back of her mind. Besides, Ammeterasu did enjoy being in an actual body again. So many small things to be grateful for.

. . .

Akiko's eyes shot open when she heard her alarm clock go off. She looked around her room, unsure where she was at first. She did this sometimes, being shocked from suddenly waking up. Wait..... what happened last night? She remember the hospital..... and her cousin was supposed to come and get her. He did right? She was home after all, there would have been no way she could have gotten home without him. But she didn't quite remember. Nope, she was drawing a blank. Perhaps it was from the effects of yesterday's events?

She froze for a second. She took notice of her breathing. It was.... fine. She didn't need her morning puff from her inhaler. When she threw the blankets off of her, she saw that all of her bruises were gone. And not only that, she just generally felt good. Did they give her something yesterday? Medicine wise? Even if they did, it couldn't have help all of these things. She felt good, energetic, lively, and basically free of pain. She didn't know why, but she knew she was pretty happy with it. Worried, but happy.

She got out of bed and started getting dressed and ready. She grabbed her bags, unaware the puzzle was in her possession. She started to walk down the stairs when she heard her mother angrily yell her name.

Marik woke with the sound of birds. He sat up and looked around. Did he fall asleep on the couch? He completely blacked out there- not waking up even once. He was dead asleep last night. He stretched then looked at the time. Even without an alarm clock he was up on time. He started getting ready, waking up slowly. As he did so, he kept debating what to do today- attempt to get the Puzzle from Lerena, or try to hold a decent conversation with her. This was stupid, it's not like he was trying to use her again. He could go for the puzzle then talk to her afterwards? If they were to duel, he felt he could easily win, that the duel would be almost on friendly terms. But wouldn't she be angry she loss and not want to talk? And if he was to talk to her, what would he say? Well he was pretty sure she would start a conversation, she did like to talk a lot. Somebody had to, certainly wasn't going to be him. He didn't know how to start a conversation.

This was ridiculous, here he was worried about what to say to a girl he didn't know how he felt about rather then concentrating on his goal. He didn't know what was wrong with him, but at least today he felt kinda good. He finished up and left his house for school.

Jonouchi and Yuugi were already in there class. Jonouchi left Yuugi's house later in the night to sneak into his own house. None-the-less, he had a pretty peaceful night. Even better, a peaceful morning as well! His father was completely out this morning! "I didn't see the sisters yet Yuug," he said, "I think we're thinking too hard about the plan. It should just be simple like we talked about last night- during gym class reduel Lerena for the puzzle. And just her! No teams. This time I won't bring you down and you'll only have to worry about one sister. And with the changes in your deck your sure victory!"

Akiko practically stormed into class. She dropped her things at her seat, lifted her to her body in anger and growled in aggravation.

"Um...... good morning?" Jonouchi said sweatdropping.

"Well I thought it was a good morning until my mother went ballistic on me!" Akiko ranted to her friends. "So I get down stairs and she started yelling at me saying that I DIDN'T wait for my cousin at the hospital yesterday! That's ridiculous! The hospital wouldn't have let me just walk out of there without him coming to get me. And why would I even do that!?" she explained still aggravated from their fight.

Jonouchi just froze and looked at Yuugi with only his eyes. What was she saying now? "Um..... are you...... ok?" Jonouchi said at first. "You..... didn't tell us you were supposed to stay there Akiko. And no, she's right, you didn't wait."

"What are you talking about Jonouchi?" she said narrowing one eyebrow.

"You told us yesterday that you called your parents and told them you were ok. That they didn't have to come and get you. In fact, you never mentioned your cousin," Jonouchi told her.

"Jo, that's not even funny. I didn't tell you guys that, why would I?" she said not liking where this was going.

"Yea you did Akiko! And you left with us yesterday," he added.

"Seriously, knock it off Jo. I don't need you picking on me," she said getting frustrated. Was everyone going to do this to her today?! she didn't remember leaving with them or telling them these things.

"I'm not picking on you!!!" Jonouchi replied getting frustrated himself that she didn't even remember.

"Then stop telling me things I didn't do!" she practically shouted back.

"Ok, it's official. Dude, your scaring me now," he said extremely confused about what was happening. How could she not remember doing these things yesterday?

"Whatever....." she said blowing off Jonouchi. "Yuug, what are you going to do about the puzzle? Are you going to try and get it back today?" she asked.
PostPosted: Sun Jun 21, 2009 1:46 am

Yuugi was quiet. He was confused about how Akiko remembered nothing. It was similar to Ryou at times. Instead of questioning Akiko, he just nodded. "I'll be ready to claim the Puzzle from Lerena today. Jounouchi and I decided on a plan. I'll duel Lerena for the Puzzle today and there will be no tag duels. Jounouchi and Grandpa helped me create new strategies for my deck so I could beat her." he said with a smile.

"Lerena, why were you up so early?" questioned Renoko as she walked down the hall with Lerena.

"The nightmare was really intense, Renoko. I'm extremely tired, but I don't want to be. It might be best if I just avoid Marik for awhile. I might BS the teacher and cut class." she confessed to Renoko.

"Don't do that!" she ordered. "Look. It's best if you confront the problem head-on. I suggest you have a talk with Marik about whatever nightmare you had and he can clear things up for you."

"I'm not talking to Marik about my nightmare, Renoko. He'll think I'm ridiculous."

"Well, you are being slightly ridiculous if you refuse to do something about your condition. Quit being so childish and just talk to him about it. The effects of a nightmare are completely psychological but can rule you if you don't confront the problem. Nightmares are not realistic. Do not confuse pure fantasy with reality."

"Realistic my a**." retorted Lerena with a sigh. "I just had a dream relating to what Isis said. That's all. Marik took the Puzzle and then his dark side took over. The rest was pure fantasy and something truly terrifying." she explained, leaning against the wall with Renoko beside her.

"And you consider this a nightmare why? Can he be worse than Darla? Nothing bad is going to happen, Lerena, not unless we're the cause of it." she remarked.

"He was extremely worse! In the dream, he did things I dare not repeat."

"Wow, his dark side and Darla should get together." said Renoko jokingly.

"That's not even funny, douchebag!" answered Lerena sarcastically.

"Okay, maybe that was a little rude. We know that neither of them are interested in love. But beyond that, do you think this dream means anything?" she asked.

"I hope not." answered Lerena with an exhausted sigh. "I'd rather discuss this problem with Marik than a counselor though." she added.

"I'm not sure if that's a good idea." admitted Renoko. "Before, I thought your 'nightmare' just consisted of Marik himself. If you add his dark side, part of him he may not even be aware exists, then he may end up touching a soft spot."

She twitched. "Such as going to a counselor. You know, those people usually make you go more insane. Why would it be a good idea if it was just Marik in the nightmare instead of his dark side?"

"Marik owes you, but his dark side does not. In other words, you could easily bring up the fact you did him a favor so the least he could do is help you with one of your problems. Although, you do have a point. He's not really the best person to talk your problems out with."

"Forget that. I've never been able to talk to men about my problems. Dad only knows about my issues, because he's a psycho mad scientist with blackmailing powers. Care for me to explain further?"

"If you can't talk to men about your problems, why can't it be the same for your past, huh?"

"Because I'm proud of my past. Ever think of that? It gets bothersome living my life sometimes, but I wouldn't trade it for the world."

"Lerena, don't sneak out again. What would you have done if Cobra discovered you? He could finish the job and kill you."

"He wouldn't do that, not after he killed Justin's father to redeem himself in the eyes of the Helena Clan." Lerena remarked. "Can we get back to the main topic at hand? My nightmare?"

"I don't understand why a nightmare about Marik's dark side is such a big deal. I mean, it's obviously kept in perfect control."

"That or it's inactive." commented Lerena. "In my dream, he was pretty damn powerful." she said. "You weren't in the dream. I'm sure it was mixed with more than just fantasy."

"Did it involve you turning evil for love?" asked Renoko.

"I don't really want to discuss it with anyone now. I'm afraid of it."

"Lerena, answer the question." ordered Renoko firmly with her eyes closed. "It's important."

"I'm sure I was heading in that general direction."

"In my dream, you did turn evil for love. Lerena, we've been bad girls, but we're not evil."

"Same to you, Sister. You were also evil in my dream. You massacred a lot of people. And for some reason, I told you to."

"We're probably just thinking too hard. Dreams are supposed to act out our hidden desires within our subconscious. It seems that neither of us have a very purified subconscious, especially if I can only imagine you finding love by becoming evil."

"Do you think I'm bad inside?" asked Lerena.

"To some extent, yes. Darla won't just go away. In some ways, she'll always haunt you. Lerena, what do you want to do after we've fulfilled the prophecy? What do you want for yourself?"

"Right now, I want to get over my nightmare. It was creepy." said Lerena with a shiver. "I was evil, Renoko, but I was not Darla."

"I think I know what the hidden meaning behind our dreams are. We're both worried about you falling in love with someone that's actually evil and you turning evil in response to those feelings. Man, give me a break. Can't our dreams be more juicy than that?"

"Don't be a fool." Lerena retorted. "My dreams aren't that casual. They're tied into how intense my emotions are. I don't know what the true meaning of this dream is, but this nightmare might be enough for me to give Marik what he wants: me not being in love with him." she remarked, uncrossing her arms.

"You think that's what he wants? From what you told me yesterday, he seemed to be getting interested in you."

"Maybe it was just common courtesy, but maybe we'll also never know. I'm seriously considering skipping classes. You in or out, Sister?"

"Lerena, you won't be able to see Marik if you skip classes."

"You may know me, but you don't know him. I don't think he really cares whether I show up for classes or not."

"And you think you do? A few discussions with someone does not make you an expert on who they are."

"I'm just confused. Don't complicate things by making me think while I'm tired." she said, beginning to walk down the hall towards the exit.

"Why do you want to skip classes?" asked Renoko, joining her.

"So I can sleep! School starts at such unholy hours! I function best at night. I could just kill everyone here." she remarked irritably.

"That's your lack of sleep talking there." she answered.

"I can stay up for as long as forty-eight hours and show no side effects. However, once I go to sleep, I need at least eight hours rest or I go insane." explained Lerena. "The only people at this school not worth killing are you, Marik, and Dante. Everyone else can go jump off a cliff."

Renoko joined her sister standing outside in front of the school like they were the day before. "Something's wrong with you."

"Best not start an argument with me while I'm tired. I only got like...six hours of sleep, maybe only five. I didn't count."

"It was midnight when we went to bed and you were probably out there for like fifteen minutes. It takes you an hour to fall asleep at night. You were up since 5 AM, so that makes..." rambled Renoko as she did the mental math. "Four hours and forty-five minutes rest. Wow, that sucks."

"Indeed it does. Skipping classes don't seem all that fun anymore without Marik..." she said with a sigh as she crossed her arms.

"Then don't skip. Quit being such a wuss, walk in there like a woman, and do some Chemistry." she suggested.

"If I do that, I might be partnered up with Marik again. I can't take this bullcrap."

"But you just said cutting classes weren't fun without him."

"I'm so confused. I don't know myself anymore."

"You either want him or you don't. Which is it, woman? Make up your damn mind."

"My feelings aren't going to change so easily. I'll probably dream about him for awhile, but I don't need the thoughts of someone else's dark side plaguing my life."

"Word." agreed Renoko. "As I said, I'm sure his dark side is in perfect control."

"How can it be in perfect control if he isn't aware it exists? It's inactive because of someone, but I don't know who that is. I just hope that person never goes away."

"Can we please go to class so you can do something besides talk about Marik? I need some time to think about what advice to give you. I'm not a goddess or anything. I can't pull advice out of thin air."

[[maybe after a while, we can skip to gym class? I don't know where we are going with Marik and Lerena quite yet. Or we can skip to gym for Yuugi and them while Lerena and Marik skip class? I dunno. Unless you have an idea for Yuugi then go for that. lol Marik would skip class now wouldn't he? I had no idea what to do for Akiko, so I did something random.]]

"Well that's good," she said with a smile. "I'm sure if you put your mind to it you can get the puzzle back," she added.

"Yea he will," Jonouchi added. He then looked at Akiko and notice the orb around her neck. "Hey that's a pretty necklace, were you wearing it yesterday?" he asked.

"Oh this?" she said poking the orb, "well not during school yesterday. I found it in the hospital room yesterday. Nobody claimed it so I took it." She chuckled a bit, "I hope nobody is looking for it. I would hate to give it back." What she experienced yesterday faded away like a nightmare- faded to the back of her mind. And even if she did recall it, she wouldn't tell them.

"Meh, finders keepers right?" he said laughing.

Akiko started to think about this morning- about her bruises being gone and actually feeling, well, healthy. She pulled up a seat near Yuugi and Jonouchi. She tried to think about how to word this right- after all her request was quite strange. She wanted to see if she was well enough to not form a bruise. She didn't want to hit herself obviously, that would be weird. She looked at Jonouchi, he would hit too hard that anyone normal would get a bruise. Ok, so she would ask Yuugi- but how do you go about asking someone to hit you? She didn't want to get punched either, just a small tap- something that wouldn't normally bruise someone but would bruise her.

"Hey, ever want to figure something out, test a theory out, but didn't know how to go about it?" Akiko asked vaguely.

"I..... think?" Jonouchi replied confused.

Akiko sighed, she could see were this was going if she was vague. "Ok listen I noticed that I didn't have anymore old bruises on me this morning. Usually they don't go away for awhile. It's weird, I know."

"Well maybe you're cured from it," he suggested.

"It's not something that goes away easily," she said. It was strange that she was opening up to Yuugi and Jonouchi. But she actually felt she could trust them. After all, they went out of their way to help her yesterday. "So I thought we would do a test," she said. Akiko raised her sleeve up, "Yuugi, punch my arm. Not hard, but like a play punch."

"What exactly is a play punch?" Jonouchi joked.

"You know, like this," Akiko said playfully punching Jonouchi's arm. "See?"

"Ow hey! That wasn't so playful," he said rubbing his arm. "This is such a weird request," he said.

"I know, but it's a sure way for me to know if there is something...... strange going on," she said.

"But shouldn't you be happy if this means your cured?" he asked. He couldn't imagine his friend punching her anyway- even if it was playful. Not even he would do it, not to a girl. To his guy friends sure, but not a female.

"I don't know. Like I said, it just doesn't go away. And that's why I'm worried," she said waiting.

Marik entered the gates to see the sisters standing outside. He was pretty sure they did this a lot, watching people as they entered the school- he just never really took note before though. He didn't expect to have to confront her so soon in the morning. What if she didn't start a conversation? What was he going to say?

He walked up the steps and nodded to her, "Morning," he said. However he did not smile nor glare at her. Marik had a naturally strong and almost angry face- so even when his face was relaxed, he still looked a little mad. However, it was a lot better then when he was angry. Still not a smile, but at least somewhat calm. He looked at Lerena and took notice she looked tired. "You look tired," he said blankly. It wasn't that he didn't care, he just never held a caring tone in his voice before. However, he did not say it sarcastically or to be mean.
