Tutsumi Hy
This reminds me too much of Profession Stein from Soul Eater...good guy...just tends to step over his boundaries when it comes to science. >>;

You should watch the anime, Neko, or at least read up on his character. I think you'll like it.

I've seen it, though that was pretty much always Neko's view. If I had to use existing characters, I'd say he's going from Stein to a mix between Medusa and Washu. Either way, this'll be fun as hell to RP.

Kai: There are a few things I'm iffy with.

1) wtf @ Jutsu listings, I thought we agreed against that for the dojos.
2) Turrets? No. Just, no. Aside from bringing guns into a ninja RP (which we're bound to get people who are like, "You can't stop a bullet which travels at 180-1500 m/s, so you lose.") the true era of shonobi ended around 1860, in the Edo period. Now, if you go for the guns that were originally made from around the mid 1200's or even the ones that showed up in Europe around the 1300's up to the 1800's would be fine. These would be a little bit more risky for the user, but would still be acceptable. Unless we're really modifying this to become more modern, at which the you're slower than a bullet argument rises up again. Trust me, I've seen it a lot in the FFA.
3) Why take out the medical wing? Or are we going to have dedicated healers always ready that aren't going to be fighting? That seems like a downgrade to me.

Everything else seems fine to me.

Neko: Sounds like it will be. Would be fun to go against a mix of the three for me personally since Tut tends to go a little crazy around people like that (lawl the madness).

We did not agree to have it taken out, we agreed to have disclaimers*. The idea of it just makes it far more clear cut as to what the students should be able to/range of elemental manipulation. As well as the teaching guideline. It makes for a less "I gotta do this on the spot" approach. I, personally like that, though each Sensei of the dojo won't follow that style, it's better for a student to know what they can be able to do rather than blindly making fireballs. Let's get some more battle uses for it, since ones imagination can easily trump another, this levels the playing field a bit more.

There's no fine line between "True" Shinobi anymore however, many ninja games feature projectile weapons, namely guns. It's the era in which the gun was built/made, as you were saying that matters the most. This is what we're trying to get to. Yes, we want to modernize the RP, but at the same time, all of these weapons aren't your STANDARD, gun. Mostly chakra powered, or take the final fantasy concept, the guns shoot techniques rather than straight bullets.

I just think posting the medical wing in the main dojo clutters the bulk of the RP there. People posting about how sick they are or crap, its really annoying. Really, the idea for that was just a personal reason lol, if enough people want the medical wing to stay, so be it. I just don't like

"So and So Lay in the bed aching in pain waiting for someone to answer them"

When I'm in a Spar. Like, ******** that, HARD.

If anything the guns would be in Kansou's blackmarket shop. They wouldn't be handed out through the teachers.
A student would have to acquire it through Kansou or something like that. Not having it from the start.

I'm not saying to have mindless babble in the med wing, but we do need a place for people to heal and get better otherwise we'd have ganggreen and a s**t load of other stuff from poor health care. XD
  • No one needs to 'heal' a person, if it's such a big fuss, though that's nice.

I also like Nar's idea on it. Weapons overall should be null and void until it is given out in the GNA. However, teachers should be able to give certain weapons. This is not to say they must be powerful, but they must be aligned with the type of training that student is doing and what weapon they are best with.
  • Student A is a fire user, and is best with martial arts. The teacher could, once the student reaches a certain level, give the student gear that either enhances or channels fire into and out of them for maximum effect (a good example here would be spiked gloves and fire enhanced knee pands).
  • Student B is a water user, and is best with staves. The teacher could, once the student reaches a certain level, give the student a stave that helps them to control the water around them and possibly even freeze it a little easier.

Such things I see as fine, as they are mainly channeling materials that could be specific to one particular element. This also puts a challenge on the teacher to find the best weapon suited for their student (unless we have an armory that lists all of the GNA's weapons).

In the training area, I suggest having weapons that channel any and all elements. To avoid students under a certain level using them, we would have the once again famous hidden room feature in the training room where you have to give off both a certain energy (your signature ID) and a password and username. There would be basic, non-elemental, weapons in the main area of the training room.

For the training room I suggest we develop it a bit further, and add on certain things.
1) Weight training
2) Weapon training
3) Hand to hand training
4) Pressure training (gravity room anyone?)
5) Other rooms that make it a bit more scientific and allow either constructed 'holographs' or actually have rooms for that kind of thing such as a bamboo room (balance fighting + tactics), a guided weapons room (weapons shoot out at the student or students fighting), etc.

Oh no I meant, removing the medical wing from the main dojo and making its own thread*

I agree, lets move out with building the new Dojos!

Tier, Move the Main dojo and all other Dojo's to the archives, Tut, you post the New Dojo's and Lock them. We'll fill in the info for them as we go on. Save the Tsuchi dojo, I'll move that myself.

EVERYONE! *Sniff* I... I missed you all! TwT

Edit- I also think we should lose Ijutsu. I think being able to heal all the time is fricken cheap. Leave it to stitching people up, otherwise everyone will always be healthy and it'll get really boring. Puhleeease? xD

It's eerie seeing a blank slate where everything used to be. ;-;

Any ideas on which forum I should put my thread? I'm indifferent, and can come up with pros and cons no matter where I put it. I'm guessing events.

Fen: I don't really see that happening, especially when most everyone already here knows a bit of it. Maybe we limit it to people who 'show potential', or just nerf it back to what it's supposed to be; nearly impossible to use in battle, and not a cure-all-fix-all?

( I like the nerfing bit. Iunno. I'm all for the wounds and gore and such. (And yay you for figuring out it was me. xD )

Mmh... I'm going to play a bunch of gay guys for you all here. Females are too emo or boring when I play them. Men are MUCH more fun! =D

Put it in the event thread. I think its the best place for it.

They won't be able to heal themselves during a fight because they would have to take the time to apply the technique to their wounds. Their head would be cut off if they stopped to heal themselves in the middle of a battle. It's not that simple.

THE 9 TAILED FOX

IN every Naruto based Ninja RP there comes a controversy about the 9 tails. Who has it and who doesn't. Here in the GNA we have what I like to call a "Special" incident between some members. I would like to take this time now to have that story explained by those who know it.

Ah... you see...quite a few of the GNA's past fights had a lot of staring contests or elaborate techniques that ended up giving the other person waaay too much time to prepare. =P
