Chalda laughed and dumped in her soil into the pot with a similar outcome. "We can both clean it up later I think. So Seleece, would you like to go into the nice soil?" Chalda held the leaf over the pot but to her surprise it squirmed and thrashed in a much more violent fashion then normal and crawled all the way up her arm into her hair shivering and cowering.
"Well I would guess that would be a no... Are you having any more luck with Dylan? Maybe Seleece just doesn't want to grow up."

Ilusen made a little hole in the soil for Dylan and she placed him slowly into the soil, covering the hole back up and patting it around the leaf. To her surprise the leaf wriggled violently and sprung up out of the soil causing more of it to land on the floor "Hmm.. for some reason he just doesnt want to stay.."

Chalda laughed "Apparently not." She looked at the pots in silence while being tickled by the shriving leaf that was hiding behind her neck. "But at least you got a little further then I did. Hey... remember how happy Dylan was in the sink? Do you think maybe the soil is too dry and we should water it first?"

"Hey good idea be back in a sec.." Ilusen popped out into the garden in search for a watering can, finding one under the garden seat she went back into the house and filled it up in the kitchen sink. "Here we go then dee, a nice bit of water for you" Ilusen tipped the watering can into the soil filled pot making sure not to drown the soil. Then she did the same for seleece's pot and tried again to put dylan into his pot.
The leaf stayed a little longer but shook violently once again and freed itself from the soily pot. "Oh dear, he really doesnt want to be in there does he? any luck with seleece?"

Chalda gently coaxed the leaf out from her hair and towards the pot that Ilusen had watered. "How about you sweet heart? How would you like to go into the moist pot?" She held the leaf above the pot and there were no notable signs of rejection. Getting lower Chalda slipped Seleece into the hole that had been left by Dylan a few moments earlier. Waiting with anticipation Chalda held her hands above the pot to catch her when she jumped out again. But to her surprise the leaf actually flushed a darker shade of green and nuzzled herself deeper into the dirt. "Well, she looks reasonable happy with that." Chalda pulled that pot closer to her and passed the fresh one back to Ilusen. "Maybe more water?"

"I guess its worth a try..." Ilusen pulled the pot closer to her and poured a bit more water into the soil from the watering can and tried once again to bury dylan into the pot, to no avail he jumped out just as quickly as he'd gone in "He just does'nt want to go in! what if the trauma of the skittle has damaged him emotionally or something?!" Ilusen panicked close to tears almost.
But suddenly to her surprise the little leaf floated over to his sisters pot and nestled himself in beside her "Oh my... would you look at that" Ilusen exclaimed "Maybe they do like each other after all..."

Chalda laughed out loud. "Well it looks like it! I guess they didn't want to be separated." Chalda looked down at the leaves fondly. "Now we only have one problem don't we? Who's room shall they sleep in?" Chalda laughed again.

"Well... i suppose they can always swap rooms each night? alternate between the two." Ilusen laughed and admired the two little leaves who had nestled into the soil now "Im quite excited, it might not be long until we have two little terrors running round.." swallowing her anxietys she smiled and picked up the pot placing it onto the windowsill of the kitchen while she set to work tidying up the awful mess they had caused.

 Ilusen rolled over on her bed to smack the infernal machine that was her alarm clock. A quick knock on the top of it and the bleating stopped. Sitting up slowly she blinked her eyes adjusting to the morning sunlight creeping through her curtains. She wasnt much of a morning person, as you could probably tell looking at her... She stood up and stretched, sliding her feet into her slippers and padding towards the bathroom.
A few moments later she emerged and quietly went downstairs so as not to wake chalda. She went into the kitchen and slid a slice of bread into the toaster. Smiling as she saw the big pot containing the two leaves on the windowsill. "Morning you two, nice sleep?" she picked the watering can up from the table where she had left it and filled it up via the tap. She watered the soil and the leaves seemed to drink it up as quick as it was going in "My my, you are thirsty this morning arent you?"
Her toast popped up and she buttered both slices sitting down at the table to eat her snack. She flicked through the past few pages of her diary, which she had left on the table last night meaning to make an entry but had forgotten. She picked up and a pen and chewed the end thinking of something to write. Then she realised she hadnt recorded the potting yet! Quote: Dear diary,
..... I know im crap at writing in this everyday, but to be honest nothing much happens around here. Well apart from the fact that our two little leaves have been planted! i know kinda strange to plant a leaf.. i mean they grow from branches.. not in soil, but it seems to be doing them the world of good! I wonder if anything will emerge from them sometime soon, all i have to do is wait, but im highly impatient.
Anyway, it was a bit of a fuss and very messy trying to get them in there, but what do you know? they decided they wanted to be potted together! strange as they always seem to be fighting.. maybe they've decided its silly to fight all the time? either way they are happy.

Chalda heaved her bag into the trunk of the car. They were probably only going for a few days but she had packed the car full up with emergency equipment just in case anything happened. It was sure getting colder out these days. The leaves were pretty happy with that since their pot seemed to add an extra layer of warmth that neither of them were pleased with. But they did seem to like being watered. Their pot tended to resemble mud more often then it did soil and they seemed to enjoy the mobility the mud granted them. They swirled around each other in slow motion and dipped and dived too. Occasionally they were seen right up against one another but whether this was an affectionate snuggle or a passionate fight was a difficult call to make.
"We are all packed Ilusen! Well except for the little ones of course. Do you want to drive or should I?"

Ilusen was just as bad as chalda for overpacking, she had practically emptied her entire wardrobe into her bag, but was it really necessary? she decided against it and packed a change of clothes and a first aid kit, you never know what could happen.
She ran downstairs and threw on her coat and shoes, picking up the plant pot forgetting how heavy it had gotten with all the water her and chalda had been putting into it. "Ive got them chalda!" she called out the house. Placing the pot carefully onto the step she locked the door behind her and plodded down the path. "Ill drive if you like, your a much better map reader than i am anyway so ill do the driving you do the navigation deal?"

Chalda laughed. "Sure that's just fine with me! This shouldn't take too long anyway since it's just on the other side of Durem. Can you imagine driving up to Isle de Gambino or something?" Chalda paused and looked at the pot. "So how do you think we should secure that sucker?"

Ilusen looked at the pot also "I havent got a clue... i dont want it tipping over and getting soil over my car!" she chewed her bottom lip trying to think of something. "Maybe we could just tie a seatbelt around it or something?" she shrugged and put her bag into the trunk of the car also and slammed it shut. "Its worth a try at least."

"Yeah I guess we could try that." Chalda looked a bit sceptical. "Give me a minute." She ran back into the house and emerged with a sheet or tarping plastic. "I've got a feeling this is going to be messy no matter how would do it but I would like to minimize the mud in the car anyway. But I think that putting this on the top of the pot would probably suffocate them." She stretched the plastic across the back seat and up against the backrest. "Ok let's give it a shot."
