Sara nodded her head. "Oh yes...that would be lovely." She smiled contently before sitting down. "I'll let you decide since you're the one who is so generous to do so."

Fred laughed. "Well, guess I can go fishing. Could use some exercise." he said as he leapt into the water. After a few minutes, he brought back a mouthful of large fish and dropped them in front of her. "Enjoy. Just tell me if you would like some more."

Sara nodded her head. "That sounds fine to me." She watched him as he got some food. "Wow...you're pretty good at that." She looked at the fishes in wonder. "They all look so tasty." She picked up one and pushed another towards Fred since she wanted to share.

Fred laughed and said, "Yeah, I am a good fisher so it doesn't take me a lot of effort which I appreciate. Means more time to relax." He took the fish she offered and began to chow down on it, enjoying the food.

Sara smiled. "I see..." She picked up one before beginning to nibble on it. "I'm sure that you can catch more fish then me. I'm no good at hunting in the water. I do better on land."

Fred laughed. "Well, I'm a better fisher than I am hunter. So I will leave the land hunting to you as you are more suited for it. And from what I could see earlier was that you are an excellent hunter."

Sara lightly blushed. "Well...I don't know about that. When you live on your own a lot you eventually begin to find ways how to work things out in order to survive. You know what I mean? I've always just waited patiently knowing and hoping that things would work out fine in the end."

Fred nodded. "Yeah, patience is something a lot of young foxes don't have and is why they have trouble learning to hunt. I was too lazy to try though and learned by watching others fail then succeed so I guess I took the round-about way." He laughed.

Sara nodded her head. "I see well whatever you do to survive is good of your own manner. As long as it's safe and you can depend on it no matter what then you are fine."

Fred nodded. "Winter is hard sometimes since we do not hibernate but I make do. I can hunt if I want to and will do so. Just sucks that fishing is limited as the rivers freeze over or the fish travel south."

Sara laid down. "Yep...it sure is. I can handle that too. The sad thing I've noticed is I've found dead kit bodies in the snow due to parents abandoning their own children. It's sad, but I hate seeing that. I would take all the abandoned ones in if that were the case. I hate seeing others suffer. I might be plain and original, but I can guarantee you I want to do everything in my best of ability to be of use."
(By the way...if you haven't realized this yet I got her name from Sarah plain and tall)

Fred nodded. "Thankfully I haven't seen any of that but it is sad to know about it. I know of a place that takes in a lot of those situations. Nice place. Took care of me for a while as well. The lady who runs the place is a real animal lover. Lots of creatures live there. Both big small, normal and mythical."
(not a clue what that is, sorry.)

(It's ok...it's just a plain old time classic type of movie similar to the little house on the prairie or Janett Oak novels.))

Fred smiled. "It's called Kazuyo's Paradise. It's a safe haven and retreat for a lot of creatures. If someone needs a home, they go to her. I don't think she has turned anyone down, even if they had questionable pasts. But there haven't been any problems there to my knowledge so I think she knows what she is doing."

Sara smiled. "That definitely sounds like a nice place. It's nice to have someone else care for other foxes." She was wondering some things. First off she was wondering how interested he was in her. It was a selfish thought, but she couldn't help herself. She shook her head to shake the idea from her. "Anyways, do you live there?"
(Have you ever read/seen anything with the west and wagon trains used to head to the prairie areas?)
