I remember that I couldn't sleep one night, so I was watching Inuyasha, and I always saw this show "fullmetal alchemist" right after Inuyasha, so i decided to watch an episode. It was the one when Wrath was fighting against Edward and trying to take his body and Alphonse shoved Ed outta the way and started to attack Wrath. I can't remember what the name of the episode, but I got so hooked into it. Then, I started watching it every week. I've watched all of the episode over 5 times. I actually got my brother into too when I got the FMA game FullMetal Alchemist: Duel Sympathy. He got so into it too. razz

My friends were into it, so I thought, 'why not', and watched it and checked out vol. 1 of the manga. I got hooked when Ed read the makings of a human being for some reason.... I now clasp my hands together frequently.

I watched the first episode on Adult Swim back in 2004. Back then it was difficult for me to stay up that late, so I only got a few episodes in before I gave up. Years later when Adult Swim started airing them again I decided to watch, which got me hooked onto anime.

Hmmm, I think it started with looking up the voice-acting roles of Vic Mignogna. I love his acting of Tamaki and I love the character of Dark Mousy so I wondered what else he did. I didn't think Fullmetal looked that interesting, so I forgot it for the most part.
Then, a few months later, a good friend of mine AND someone I barely knew at the time told me it was epic and so I started watching the first anime. I got about half way through before Brotherhood came out. I started Brotherhood and was hooked, so I watched it all the way to the end subbed (thought I cheated and read the end of the manga when it came out).
After I finished Brotherhood, I watched to the end of the first anime, decided that the ending was lame and vowed never to watch Conqueror of Shamballa again, lol, and I have been a die-hard fan of the Brotherhood anime/manga (which I'm still reading) ever since!

Shon (my IRL name): "I got into FMA after my friend told me about it. I checked it out and practically fell in love with it and that was the original. Then when it was dubbed, I watched Brotherhood and was like blown away by it's awesomeness. FMA Brotherhood is definitely way better than the original at least in my opinion."

I had just joined the Anime Club at my high school. I had a friend there who was reading the manga. He told me to read it so I had something to talk about. I read the first three in a matter of two hours that first night. For the next two weeks I read all the FMA mangas in my school library. Got hooked, started to DVR Brotherhood, and have been like this ever since.
