Just then a pair of engines roared to life from the back of the garage, and two matte black humvees that somehow managed to look tough and heavily armored yet sleek at the same time pulled up at the garage entrance. In the driver's seat of one was Will Jackson. In the other was the resident mechanic and driver, Stephanie Lynch. Will looked out at the gathered Hunters before explaining their chosen transportation. "These are a couple of Stephanie's Hummer specials. Armor panelling, UV headlights, silver dust aerosol sprayers, specially blessed by a bishop and routinely washed with holy water, surveilance equipment, military grade radios and sensors, bulletproof windows, puncture and bullet proof tires, all terrain drive, pop-up Vulcan gatling cannon with a fifty-thousand drum of ammunition in the trunk with remote control guidance via a joystick and screen in the passengers side, oil slicks, flamethowers, caltrops, and even some hidden anti-armor rockets... These babies could take on an Abrams main battle tank and WIN. I figure that they'd be perfect to take out hunting tonight. So everybody who wants a little pay back, pile in!"

Amber was right about what Aiden was going to do. He did indeed like the cars, except for the headlights... UV rays weren't exactly any vampire's friend even if they were a Hunter Vampire. His keen eyes caught Amber crying once again, and he could tell that she was regretting sitting beside the Hunter Leader. Amber was too considerate of other people, always worrying about offending them or distracting them... She was really hard upon herself, and now the stupid kid's death had made things worse.

Aiden did plan to use his own transportation; his legs, to get to the area the vampires were in. He wondered what the delay was and wanted to leave right then and there, but he remained and waited for Amber's sake if no one else's.

Sady's jaws dropped when he started describing the vehicles. She jumped into the vehicle behind Will.

Amber watched Sethe enter the garage. She watched him come all the way to the side of the vehicle where Will was on and bow. He was pissed about Jaffar, she could tell.

Amber just sat there beside Will, trying to control her tears as best she could. She just wanted to start the hunt and kill the bastards that had caused so many Hunter's grief.

Krii'Ouse noticed Amber. Walking up to her, he put his hand on her shoulder. 'Don't worry, I'll avenge him. We all will. They'll pay for crossing the New York Hunter's Group...' he said, pulling out a pentagonal piece of cloth. It was a patch. 'Here, when we get back, have this sewn onto your coat, ro whatever you have...' he said, giving it to her.

On the patch was the NYHG's logo. Krii'Ouse had come up with the idea, and Marcus made the design, and gave Krii'Ouse a load of copies. The logo sported a gloved hand, with fingers of the glove cut off, grasping a quarter moon, with stars shooting in the background, and a golden cross behind it all. On the borders it read 'Carpe Noctem,' Latin for 'Sieze the Night.' Over the top border it reads 'New York Hunters.'

He walked back to William. 'Damnit brother, let's go! We have blood to spill!'

Amber forced a weak smile, "Thanks Krii, I'll sew it on my coat as soon as this fight's over. And thanks for the support." Though she had never really spent too much time with Krii, Amber felt like she had suddenly known him all her life. He reminded her of her older brother that had been brutally slain by vampires. She wanted to ask Krii a question, but felt that it was stupid and off topic. He would probably think the same.

Amber shifted uncofortably in her seat, she was getting restless. She heard Krii and was happy to know that she wasn't the only one. The longer they waited the more time they gave those vampires to escape and devise a plan to pick off yet another one of them. She shook her head and then rested it against the seat, her tears still rolling down her cheeks. And more threatening to stream from her watery eyes.

Amber smiled timidly, she had forgotten that Krii could read minds. However, she was used to having people able to read her mind since Aiden also happened to be a psychic, and didn't believe in her privacy. Afterall, she had slightly abused his trust, going off and trying to hunt vampires, while she had him believing that she was doing something productive.

She knew that Krii could sense these thoughts as well, but they were't really anything personal. The personal things were locked deep within her mind and blocked out by all, even Aiden. Amber realized that she was keeping Krii waiting and she started to fiddle her feet around. "Um, it actually really is stupid Krii, I'm sure you'll feel that it was a waste of your time."
