Lynnea laughed, swiping a paw at the fish so that it would swim away. She was still charmed by the atmosphere of this place, and loved the fact that the water was very warm. 'We must be near a hot spring,' she thought to herself. She continued to look around the surrounding area. It looked like it would be a very safe place to build her den when she was an adult. It also seemed to have a lot of prey-it has fish and small land animals also.

Coalan laughed. "Do not scare dinner away." he said as he dived in after the fish, catching it easily. "I am sure you are going to be hungry at some point with all that energy you are using," he said as he offered her the fish that was trying to get out of his paws.

She took the fish lightly in her teeth and threw it to shore, swimming slowly to shore after it. She was not really hungry yet, but she decided she may as welll eat now so that she would not have to later. She climbed onto the shore, but sat and waited to eat because she was hoping he would catch something for himself and then join her.

Coalan quickly caught a second fish, seeing that she would not eat without him and soon joined her. He was a fast eater and was soon done with his food. "So what do you want to do when you are an adult and no longer have to return to your parents all the time?" he asked wondering about her future plans.

"I just want to find a nice place to make a den, somewhere a lot like this actually. I mean, there is plenty of food, lots of areas, and so much here to do. Besides that, I just want to learn as much as I can about nature and to have a good family of my own." she said, looking contemplative as she was eating also. She finished her fish and then said, "What about you, Coal?"

Coalan shrugged. "I guess a family would be nice but I havent gotten out much to meet many foxes. Besides, I am still young and do not need to worry about that. Perhaps when I am an adult I will give it some serious consideration but not right now." he replied with an odd look on his face.

"Not me, I know I what I want for my future. My family is close, and I want that." she said, smiling. She was curious about the odd look on his face, but she did not want to press him on it yet. She really did want to know, but she was not sure he would appreciate her prying. She looked over at him, head tilted, but she did not ask. She looked toward the sky, noticing the beginning of dusk on the horizen. "I think I should probably start heading home, it is getting dark." she said, although she looked sad to say it.

Coalan nodded. "Yes, I believe it is time to go. Would you like me to meet you here, tomorrow, instead of our usual place?" he asked, showing that he would still meet with her whenever she wanted so long as nothing urgent stopped him. He wanted to encourage her and liked to see her happy and smiling as she did often in his presence.

"Sure, if your not busy," she said, smiling. Then she took off running in the direction of the sunset. She arrived back at the den right after dark and ate a small snack before going to sleep. She dreamed of the waterfall and woods as she slept, and of her future as well. She woke early the next day, but waited to head to the new area until a few hours after sunrise.

Coalan ran home, memorizing the way back to the waterfall area so that he could return the next day. He ate a large meal at home before heading off to sleep, his father just smiling knowingly at him and was not surprised to find him off before sunset. Coalan had left extremely early to make sure he could get back there and wanting to catch her some breakfast which he fished out of the river.

When she arrived, Coalan was already at the waterfall and she smiled at him. He was in the water, fishing it looked like, so she waited patiently by the side of the river. As she waited for him to come to shore, she dreamed of the future and of all that it could be. She did not know how her future would be, but she had her dreams. She yawned a little as she waited, she was not quite awake yet.

Coalan quickly rushed over to her with a batch of fish and placed half of them before her. "I got you breakfast. I hope you do not mind. You are not much of a morning fox and I am so I figured I would get here early and treat you for once." the playful male fox smiled at her.

"Thanks," she said, smiling and blushing a little. She did not understand why he did such sweet things, but she liked it. It made her feel special and cared for, although she doubted she would ever point it out to Coal. She shook her head quickly to clear the blush and said thank you again before starting to eat the fist slowly. She really enjoyed the fish, it was fresh and really good.

Coalan smiled at the happy girl beside him and laughed. Lynnea got prettier and happier each day and that made him smile. He wondered what she would look like full grown and surrounded by a family. The thought made him blush so he hid his face by eating some of the fish that he caught.

Lynn noticed his blush, and she was tempted to ask him what caused it. She looked up at him and said, "Hey, Coal; can I ask you something?" She paused only for a second before asking, without giving him a chance to answer. "Why were you blushing a second ago?" she said quickly, her own blush staining her cheeks as she did. She looked down and then all around as she waited for him to answer, but was too embarassed and flustered to look right at him.
