I've just had people ask if I'm Chinese or Japanese and I'm Vietnamese. Never really understood why people always ask those two particular nationalities. There are other Asian countries...

Well once there was this new student I didn't know about (he was from thailand). And my friend introduce me to him , but both of us didn't know we were from the same country so we spoke english. Then my friend was like "Why are you speaking english he's from the same country as you" and that guy replied " You're from thailand? You look like you're from Phillipi and I was like =___= ...
Other than I've been mistaken for Chinese, Japanese, Taiwanese, Indonesian, and that's about all.

Where I live...if your asian, most of the people would call you chinese. Which is what's happened all my life, since i've been livin in the same place. people think im chinese when im really japanese. It just annoys me when non-chinese people think im chinese and starts talking to me in what they think is chinese..when in reality it just some made up stupid words. *sigh*

Here goes...
I am Filipino.
But my skin is dark and my eyes are a bit round, so people think I'm Mexican or Spanish. I have black hair in a bob-cut and I'm pretty smart, so most people assume I'm Chinese. My last name is the same as the name of an Italian city, so sometimes people think I'm Italian. But that last name is also a very popular French surname. eek
