Yep, right side pocket. *McGinn turns the ignition key and likewise scans the treeline. Further up the hill, a hunched figure darts from tree to tree.*

Bree finally gets the trunk open and grabs some of the flares. After a few tries, she manages to get one light and turns around to shed some light on the surroundings.

*As Bree turns around, the initial flash of the flare outlines the shadow of what could be a hunched and severely disheveled man, running through the forest.*

Bree whips around, trying to track the figure.
"McGinn, get on the horn!"
She waves the flare around, looking for the runner.

Boss, this is McGinn. There's something in the woods. I repeat, there is something in the woods. We need backup now.
*On the first few waves, Bree sees nothing. It's not until she looks behind her a second time that she comes face to face with a leathery figure in black, leather native american garb, and assorted bone jewelry. His eyes glow gold like a wolf's, and stringy, greasy black hair hangs off his shoulders and in front of his face. His fingers are thin but strong, with long ragged nails, and he clutches a broken stone knife in one of them. He has a slightly wolfish under bite, and elongated canines in his upper and lower jaw.
He greets Bree with a brutal roar. He looks hungry.*

Bree shrieks like a banshee and does the only sensible thing she can think of: she sticks the burning sulphur flare in his face.
"MCGINN, RUN!"

*The Rainmaker snarls in pain and rage the flare singes his flesh, and he too retreats back to the safety of the woods. Meanwhile McGinn and Bree make a mad dash up the hill, eventually running into the rest of the team who are on their way down.*
Where is he? WHERE IS HE?

Bree hides behind Gibson.
"He ran off into the woods. I got him pretty good with the flare, but I don't think I did any lasting damage, he still had both eyes...I think."

Boss, if he's our guy, it's gonna be impossible to find him. We don't have enough manpower in range to do a proper search of the woods, and he knows this area better than any of us anyway.
So what are you suggesting, Mike?
Look, it's getting dark. This guy's extremely territorial, he's not done with this area yet. Yeah, he moves around, but not until his prey has been exhausted. We come back tomorrow with the proper manpower and search then. Guy like this, he's going to be difficult enough to track in the daytime. Let's try not to give him any more of an edge than he already has.
*Gibson mulls over the idea for a while.* Bree, McGinn... Did either of you get a good look at the guy who attacked you?

"Older. Wizened. Long greasy hair. Palish skin. Severe underbite and bad teeth. And wolf eyes. Like my brother Elin when he gets angry."
Bree looks around, still clutching the flare. The red light casts writhing shadows on the surrounding trees.

Mike? Sound like our guy?
*Nods* Yeah, it matches who I was seeing.
Alright. Call the Staties, tell them we need a TAC team up here first thing in the morning. Our profile better be right. If this guy gets away DiNardo, it'll be your a**.

"He looked like he was right at home in the woods. Check the trees, he might be marking. He had a knife, looked like it was made of stone."

*DiNardo nods* I know, I think I found a piece of it up at the crime scene. Stone knives are relatively brittle, not surprising it broke after a frenzy like that.

A snapping twig makes Bree jump.
"Coming back in daylight sounds good. Really good."

Thanks. I know I'm all for not getting scalped and eaten by an insane Apache, or whatever the hell he is.
*Looking on his PDA* Guys there's an inn just down the road. It's in town, but it's only about ten miles from here. We can stay there tonight and get a jump on heading back here in the morning.
