vegito61283 See that is the thing about JJ. He only knows how to sell a team. What I think happend was that Garret, who JJ wants to become the HC sometime real soon, wanted TO gone. He probably stood up to JJ and said if TO didnt go, he would go when his contract was up next year. ...I'm not really buying it. I know this was really hard for JJ to follow. He probably just did it to gain popularity among the fans and his team. Jones loved TO's presence on the football field.

yeah, dont buy any of the excuses. He didnt like owens for what he brings to the field, He liked owens for what he brought to his pocket

I cant believe CB Chris McAlister hasnt been taken yet, He's only 31 and so what if he was injured a bit over the past 2 seasons, I think he's still a Pro Bowl starting corner who deserves to play on any team.

WR Torry Holt has been released from the Rams.
It is reported FB L. Weaver is close to making his decision to sign with either Seattle or Philadelphia.

Reports say that Philadelphia Eagles, whom many thought were the most likely candidate, are not interested in recently released WR Tory Holt.
As much as I would have liked to see them pick him up, it is a smart move by Philadelphia not to pick him up.

It is reported that Philadelphia may now be out of the running to getting FA FB L. Weaver.
It looks as if the deal with TE L.J. Smith and the Atlanta Falcons has fallen through.
