Valley smiled at him. "Creatures of all types come and go all the time. And I am close enough to go visit them whenever I want so I am not distressed about it. I can have the best of both worlds, kind of." Valley giggled. "But I will tell them tomorrow if it makes you feel better."

"Alright then." the black fox looked down at his forgotten salad. "Let's finish this salad shall we?" he grinned balancing a blueberry on his nose.

Valley giggle, and began munching on some more strawberries, watching him do various tricks with his food, laughing the whole time.

"That's not all I can do. Watch." Orsino picked up the largest strawberry in the pile, putting it on the tip of his nose and started to wiggle his ears, and started to look cross-eyed. "How do you like that?" he asked, wiggling his ears more the strawberry falling onto the salad, laughing.

Valley began laughing out right and rolled onto the ground, as she was laughing so hard. When she finally calmed down enough, she said, "You are very funny, do you know that?" Then she began to giggle again.

"Am I?" Orsino grinned, his ears perking up. He picked up the strawberry and bit into it. "Wow." he said savoring the taste, "It's very sweet." he offered another one to Valley, "You picked some nice ones."

Valley blushed and took the strawberry that he offered her. "Thank you, and yes you are very humorous. It is one of the things I like about you." she said before biting into the delicious strawberry.

Valley laughed. "I guess that is a good thing or I probably wouldn't still be here and enjoying your company." She stiffled a yawn. "I guess that I am just a little tired. It has been a long and somewhat eventful day for me.

"Tired?" Orsino got up and walked into the corner of the den, straightening out his 'bed'. "It's mostly made of dried grass and down I collected, but it's warm. You can sleep here. It's big enough for the both of u-" he stopped himself, his face growing hot. "I mean. Um. I'll make another bed!"

Valley giggled. "You can join me, it won't be a problem if we are mates." She stood and walked over to him, making room enough for both of them and got comfortable. She was soon sound asleep.

Orsino did a double take. 'Mates?!' he thought wildly. 'Oh man...' it wasn't that he didn't want to, but the way Valley stated it so blatantly surprised him. He quietly slunk away to clean up the remains of their dinner. After he was done, he made his way next to Valley, lying down next to her, covering his paw with hers. "Good night..." he murmured.

Valley heard his exclamation even in her sleep and a smile crept over her sleeping face. He was shy but she knew that he liked her a lot and that they would eventually become mates. But she could be patient if he was not ready as he seemed to be nervous about the idea. Besides, she was not sure if he wanted to have children or not but somehow she thought he would be happy with the idea. She would have to be careful and take it slower so as not to scare him off.

Orsino drifted into a deep and dreamless sleep. He opened his eyes sleepily his ears twitching at the sound of the birds singing outside. He looked at Valley, sighing with relief that it wasn't a dream and Valley was indeed real. Orsino smiled standing up quietly and carefully so he wouldn't wake her.

Valley opened her eyes slowly as the warmth beside her disappeared and smiled as he shifted away. She closed her eyes again as she knew he would feel bad if he woke her up and she did not need him feeling bad. So she allowed herself to drift off back to sleep until the sun began to reach into the cave.
