Kalia finished her problems and went to sit back down only to see Alice in her seat.

Alice flashed her covergirl smile at Kalia and said sweetly, "I can't see as well from back ther you don't mind switching with me do you?"

Kalia shrugged her good shoulder and said, "That's fine..." her voice lower pitched, dark and cool like liquid moonlight. Settling herself in her new seat Kalia began taking her noted for the class.

Kia watched as Alice moved swiftly into the new girl's seat. Apparently, it didn't matter what Kia tried to do. Alice was still determined to drive all the other girls away. He didn't want to be rude to her, but she was killing all the fun of being on the track team. Kia gave a quick shrug at the new girl as she walked by. He didn't agree with the new seating arrangement, but would have to live with it. Too bad, the new girl was kinda cute. Then again, now she could admire him from behind. Was his hair good? Don't know. Kia reached up and patted his hair, to make sure it wasn't standing up, which it wasn't. At a later time in the class, Kia wrote a quick note, and ripped it from a corner of his note paper. Then he 'accidentally' on purpose dropped his pencil, kicking it under the new girl's new desk. Kia then turned around, facing away from Alice, "Oh, sorry. Can I have that back please?" He pointed to the pencil that was conveniently under her desk. He flashed the note in his hand, so she would see it was for her, and that he intended to pass it to her when she handed him, his pencil.

Kalia had a wry half smile on her lips as she handed him back his pencil, the attempt at subtlety was well meant but poorly executed.

Kia handed his note to the girl behind him in a swift motion. All it would look like to Alice was that he had grabbed his pencil from her. Nothing more. When she opens the note to read, hopefully with enough tact as to not have Alice watch, it would read as this: "We need to talk. I have questions."There was no name, but seen as it was handed to her from Kia, the sender should have been obvious. Tonight, Kia planed on learning some thing, hopefully about himself, and the new girl. He still didn't know her name. He wasn't even sure if the attack really did happen the night before. His next class was Track again, a class he didn't share with Alice, thankfully. He might be able to talk to her then, if she had the same class as he did, or one in the same room. All he had to do now, was wait for the rest of this class to go by.

Kalia slipped the note into her hoodie pocket and left it there idly playing with it with her right hand, patience was a virtue which time taught well. She managed to make it through the rest of the class before going to gym. She gave her male gym teacher some stupid excuse about female time of the month, the teacher was so mortified he told her she could just walk laps. Kalia made her way to the outmost edge of the track and walked slowly around, trying carefully not to jar her arm.

The bell rang and the class was out. The teacher was brutal again, just as he was yesterday. Kia thought he was clear and free from Alice, when he felt an arm slip around his in the hallway, grabbing him and forcing him to move to the edge of the hallway. Looking over with a surprise showing on his face, Kia realized he was trapped by Alice. (Hope you don't mind, seemed fitting.) "Um, hello Alice. Is anything the matter?" Kia looked at her as he said this. He couldn't wait to get to track class, as it was always relaxing for him. Alice was now in his way of that, and he hoped the new girl was in there too. Alice would have to leave him alone soon, or be late for her own classes. (And now, I give control of Alice back to you, as I don't know what she might say, or have noticed, or want. She is overly possessive of him after all. Just touching his hand by handing the pencil over might be enough to set off a storm.)

Alice smiled sweetly at him, "Kia... You know that dance next weekend... Do you wanna go with me?" she asked in a gently prodding tone. She had not failed to notice his attention to the new girl and wanted to make sure she remained first in his affections. The other girls knew their places, and the concequences of opposing her... well maybe not all the concequences, "We'd be Spring King and Queen for sure..."

Kia gave a sigh of relief. He was afraid she would ask about the new girl. "Well, sweety. I will have to think about it. You know there is a track meet before then. Then my grades have to be in good standing for me to be allowed to go..." Kai let the thought trail off. He was never in risk of failing, but it made for a good delay, and a reasonable excuse. "Um, we have to get going, or you and I will be late for our next classes." Kia started to disengage his arm from her grasp. "I'll tell you an answer after next weeks track meet." He scooted away from her, delicately dodging the answer to her question, and hopefully buying a week before he had to answer.

"Okay..." she said a little dejectedly but brushed a kiss on his cheek and scampered off.

It was unusual for Alice to give up so quickly. Then Kia looked at the time. He would run late if he didn't get going. Kinda ignoring Alice, as they had already said their goodbyes, Kia walked quickly to the gym. He noticed that the new girl was walking laps, instead of joining in with the rest of he class. Hopefully this was because of the note. Kia entered into the boy's locker room, and dropped off his stuff in his locker, as well as quickly got changed for his track runs. Walking out, he walked quickly on the innermost section of the track, making it look like he was warming up. He chose the inner side for then he would catch up with her sooner. Within a couple of moments, Kia was beside her, now on the outermost section of the track. He at first didn't say a word, waiting for her to possibly say something. Anything to confirm the events of last night. He would speak if she didn't say anything soon, but he didn't want to be a fool who thought a dream was real, if it didn't happen that is.

Kalia wasn't about to lead him to the questions especially since half of her wished he didn't remebmber, "Won't your coach yell at you for going to slowly?" she asked ignoring the glares from some of the other girls.

Kia laughed quietly, "Not at all. I can always say I didn't feel like it right now. After that crack in the head from yesterday, I don't think they would give me much trouble." If she looked at him however, he wasn't wearing the bandage anymore. Looking rather nervous, Kia decided to just ask, "About yesterday..." He didn't finish the sentence, as he didn't know how to word it yet. For all she knew, he might have been talking about the incident in gym, and not the park. He could still save himself embarrassment if he didn't mention it now. But if he didn't, he would never know if it was a dream, or if it really did happen. This is when he observed her shoulders. He hadn't noticed how rounded they where. Her skin looked soft, and was a nice color. No! He had to stay on task. He had questions to ask her, that only she could answer. But first, he had to make sure it really happened. How to say it in such a way as to make it sound like nothing was the problem...

A girl shoved into Kalia from the side before giving a quick, "Sorry." and running back over to run with her friend as the two of them whispered back and forth.Kalia pitched forward and tucked and rolled... over her bad shoulder, tears sprang involuntarily to her eyes, as she took slow breaths to try and subdue the pain, "Being around you is dangerous..." she said her voice wavering a tiny bit, before she steadied it. At his questioning look she smiled dryly, "My shoulder... or had you forgotten... I said it would still be healing until late this afternoon..."
