Lorien looked up a bit. "Um...ok...I mean I think I just got used to you around that I sort of have been getting a bit comfortable. I mean I would share my dark secret with you if you wanted to." She paused for a moment. "I mean it's dark, but I don't know how dark it would compare to your definition of dark."

Maximus frowned slightly. "Lorien... Whatever it is, if you wish to tell me, you can. It's not about me wanting to know. It's about you wanting me to know. I see who you are at this time. Whatever happened back then, it's over, and would make no difference in my eyes as to who you are now."

Lorien nodded her head before staring out the window again. She was a bit exhausted and for some reason didn't seem too talkative. "I see..." She watched the two birds go by their window before putting a paw up to the window almost like she could grasp them.

Maximus watched Lorien silently before nodding to himself. She'd heard his words, and was sure she understood them. Nosing comfortingly at her cheek, he stayed in that seat as he curled up close by, eyes staying open as he checked out the cabin. She would tell him when she was ready. He had no doubt.

Lorien sighed a bit before laying her head down. "Would you mind if I had a short nap? I was thinking about saving some energy for the rest of the trip."

Maximus chuckled in amusement. "You don't need permission for a nap. I can wake you when this train reaches the end." He said with a nod, raising his head to look out the window.

Lorien nodded her head. "Alright. Then I will do so." She then laid her head down inbetween her two paws with her tail wrapped around her as well. The tan fox was happy deep down, but she was also starting to think a bit differently. It was embarrassing for her even if she were to tell him.

Maximus kept his gaze out the window as long as he could before he had to turn it to the sleeping beauty sitting across from him. His eyes were soft as he watched her breathing. He wondered what those "dark secrets" of hers were. What type of scar could be hidden beneath that tender and sweet exterior. True, there was a strength in her. One he wondered if she herself could even see.
Smiling, he closed his eyes to take a short nap himself.

Some time later, a loud whistle emitted from the speakers. Maximus' eyes snapped open alertly. How long had he been asleep? He pricked his ears as he heard a familiar name. "Lorien, this is our stop." He said with a small yawn, standing and shaking out his fur.

Lorien slowly opened her eyes. "Already?" She eventually got up and stretched before walking towards the door and out. "Alright, so where do we go next?" She looked about the area.

Maximus made sure their bags were retreived before following. "From here, we take a.... a....." He cocked his head. "What are those called? They hold many people, and look like a very long car without a nose."

Lorien cocked her head trying to understand what Maximus was talking about. "Um...well there's trolleys, buses, and boats, but I'm not quite sure what you mean."

"That's it! Bus!" Maximus wagged his tail and gave Lorien a nod. "Thanks. Yes, we'll be taking a bus from here. And if I'm right, our next stop is the sea." He paused thoughtfully. "I don't recall ever seeing the sea before. I've heard it's quite a sight."

Lorien nodded her head. "Yes the sea is wonderful, but really huge. It can be the most nice thing to experience or one's nightmare depending on the weather. That's why I was going to try to use Atlantia to make it a safer voyage."

Maximus cocked his head. She'd mentioned this Atlantia before... "Well, why didn't you then?" He asked as he worked his bag over his neck.

Lorien shook her head. "No I mean she will be helping us. She just lives in the water since she will dry out if she lives out of it." Lorien lightly laughed before slightly frowning ashamed of herself. "Although to her it's not fun being different."
