George Washington Bicentennial March - Sousa
American Civil War Fantasy - Bilkl (I think)
Blessed Are They (From A German Requiem - Brahms)

Hey! We're playing the Sousa march as well biggrin
along with:
New World Symphony #9: Finale
Jubilation Overture
Air for Band
Suite Divertimento
and some other one my teacher hasn't thought of yet... although I believe it's going to be Hercules xD

For Jazz Band, we're doing a joint concert with the choirs at our school...
We're playing whatever songs Choir ensemble and concert is singing. Plus:
Wind Machine
Samba de Haps
and a ballad my teacher hasn't given to us yet.

The George Washington is a challenge. All the technical stuff... wow. Our trumpets are fainting at it smile

Yes!! Lux Arumque = Eric Whitacre awesomeness!! I heart heart heart heart his work ^^
Our concert band is taking part in a festival-kinda-thingie tomorrow, and we're playing:
Suite Francaise
Sunrise at Angel's Gate
A Boy's Dream (which is our challenge piece, so only 2 weeks to learn it)
So no Eric Whitacre epic-ness for this performance sad ... I'll have to find some way to survive razz

it is! I lov eit so much... the songs we're doing from it are...at the end of the day, I dreamed a dream, master of the house, on my own and do you hear the people sing?

Master of the house is by far my favourite though...it's a fun song for the bassoon...(we play it a little bit faster than normal, and I tend to dance along a bit)

we did Work Song/At the End of the Day, I Dreamed a Dream (so purdy :3), Attack on Rue Plummet, and One Day More. Work Song/At the End of the Day is definitely my favorite, and our drill for Attack on Rue Plummet was so much fun xd

Our band just started Blue Shades, by Tichieli
and we should be getting music for Star Wars, arranged by Donald Hunsberger soon.

We just had two concerts, during which we played
~Concerto for Marimba by David Maslanka
~Morning Star by David Maslanka
~Lincolnshire Posy (all 6 movements) by Percy Grainger
(that was a hard program to put together)

Garrison's Commander
Rush
On The Mall March
Dance 1 (something my Shostakovich)

I'm not too excited about this line-up here personally. The first two we already did last semester. On The Mall is a march. (I'm a bassoonist, enough said.) Dance 1 is a very, very, simple piece for the bassoon.

So there isn't much exciting. sad

But I'll be okay... We had some good pieces earlier this semester.

Sakome
We are currently working on three pieces for concert mpa:

British Eighth
Solas Ane
A Festival Prelude

Played British Eight my freshman year. One of the few marches I like! And I played A Festival Prelude at an honor band last year. I enjoyed it, too.

candy!x0x0
We're playing

Candide, (its like shortened version of most of the songs)
Firebird (last 3 movements)
Holst First Suite
October

LOVE First Suite! I've also played the second one. October is fantastic. We played it last year for concert festival.

Dirge Spiral
I get to play:

-The Chimes of Liberty (March)
-The Witch and the Saint (This is one of those pieces that's so amazing it's saved for last piece of the concert.)
-Elegy for a Young American (It was written after JFK's Death)

The Witch and the Saint!!! Steven Reineke! That was our closer for this year's marching show. Love the Carmina Burana rip-off in the beginning.

-A Chanukah Celebration
-A Christmas Festival (I also played it in 8th grade)
-Christmas Fantasy on "Do You Hear What I Hear?"
For Concert Festival:
