Relief spread through Darzel as he saw that the two people he had overheard were still standing next to the pipe drain that he had heard them through. He raised his hand and slowed as he neared them. "Excuse me, but I couldn't help myself and was listening to your conversation from the roof. Would you be interested in letting me join you?"

Nyrk decided not to look so surprised. With a moment's thought, he responded, "I can't honestly say I trust you yet, but considering my current status, it is for that very reason that I would have to say 'yes.' Though I am curious, if it wouldn't be of great agitation, as to why you would be willing to fight against your... alongside myself."
Nyrk knew here he was no longer in any sort of control. If either of them were going to betray him here, there wasn't much he could do about it. Whatever was going to happen to him now was in the hands of Yuri and the other, until Nyrk was strong enough to be of use.
"Either way, I am grateful for your help, stranger. Did you hear the whole plan?"

"No, I left the roof a bit ago to contemplate my dilemma, so I did not hear your entire plan, much less if you two had actually agreed to work together." said Darzel, "As to your first question, I wish to join you because I feel that if enough vampires are killed, all life as we know it won't be wiped out by this obsessive feeding that many of my kind seem to show. It sickens me to see such stupidity for such short term gains."
Darzel stopped and looked at Yuri.
"But I haven't yet to hear your friend's decision. It would be quite wrong of me to butt in where I wasn't wanted."

Yuri had listened to this exchange passively, waiting to be addressed by either one. When he had finally been addressed by the newcomer, he gave a curt nod and a smile. "My decision to what? How he responds has little impact on me." Yuri's voice remained neutral, out of respect for the new vampire.

"I had thought you two were joining together, and assumed you would like to be involved in the decision of letting me join you or not." replied Darzel. He felt a bird perched on a windowsill above looking down with curiosity. "But if you do not feel that this affects you," Darzel looked at Nyrk again, "what is your decision?"

"'Obsessive feeding'... I don't believe our goals are all that different, sir. If I might speak the whole truth, my objective is to eliminate as many of these vampires as possible. Yet it is clear to me that I should not attempt on the lives of those that would cause such extermination more efficiently that I would alone. That would be foolish, for two good reasons, the more concerning of which is the much more likely outcome of my own death."
Suddenly, Nyrk felt very paranoid, for no clear reason. He kept silent for a while, listening, and catching a glance at Darzel's idle gaze. Nyrk noticed a bird, perched upon a window sill, and feeling uncomfortably paranoid, Nyrk slowly withdrew his weapon, trying not to appear offensive, then he quickly shot the bird, holstering his weapon.
"You'll have to forgive me. I've noticed some vampires have peculiar abilities..." Nyrk tried not to look like he was about to repeat the stunt. "Anyhow, yes, I rather think fighting in a group would be a fine alternative to fighting alone. Out of courtesy, I'll not inquire about what abilities you might have, but it would, erm..." Nyrk felt a little nervous asking, but proceeded, "...it would be kind of you not to feed on me, if it isn't too much to ask for. It is instrumental that I remain human..."

Hakuya ran across roof tops and jumped between buildings. As she landed on one building she sensed something...unusual. It was....2 vampyres...and...a human? But no fear? Nevousness, yes. But no fear. What was going on? She decided to just peek over the edge of the building.

Darzel flinched as he felt the bird die. He listened to Nyrk finish explaining himself before saying "I will agree to your terms under one condition." Darzel began to let some of his anger creep into his voice, "You will kill no more animals unless I confirm they are a vampire first. One of my so called 'abilities' is a very special link with animals nearby, and I don't enjoy feeling them in pain or the embrace of death."
Darzel realized that he was slowly overstepping his bounds and eyed the gun. He let go of his anger knowing that Nyrk had not done it on purpose. "I'm sorry, you didn't know, it is not your fault."

Nyrk winced as he heard the words "link with animals." It wasn't so much that the ability unnerved him but that he had unwittingly committed such a rude act against it. As soon as an opportunity presented itself, Nyrk quickly responded, "Sorry, really. I agree." Nyrk looked behind himself for a moment, then faced the two again.
"Thank you. I'll need to care for my wounds," which, in retrospect, I probably should have done before I left to seek any sort of alliance with a vampire. "Anything else to be cleared up?" Nyrk asked, most of his anxiety dissipating with the imminence of this conversation's conclusion at hand.

Darzel thought about it for a moment, "Well I have a few other questions. The first are where and when are we doing all this. Next is..." his voice trailed off as he felt the curiosity of a rat on the roof. "The next is," he continued, "do you think we should be concerned about whoever is up on the roof where I was a few minutes ago?"

"When? Well ideally, given none but us know of this meeting, I would like to meet here tomorrow. However, that brings us to the subject of the latter inquiry." Nyrk smirked a little. "Concerning that, I believe if we are already discussing whether we should be concerned about said person, said person should be rather concerned right about now." Nyrk withdrew his left sidearm, looking directly above himself...

Yuri placed his hand on Nyrk's arm, "Don't bother...If you want to stay alive, than I would suggest letting this one go." His voice remained neutral as he looked up, "You might want to slow down, now that you have a plan. It would be unfortunate if you annoyed the wrong group..." He smiled, "Let this one go...She wouldn't have heard too much, so it's all right."

Hakuya couldn't help but notice the vampyre with brown hair. He looked so familiar. Where had she seen him before? Around the city somewhere? Had she met him at some point? This was really going to bug her. She hated to forget a face. "Humans and vampyres hardly ever socialize with each other. What the hell is this?" And then she caught it. This human was different. Something about him was...off. "HUNTER!" She feared for her life...but not for the others'. What did she care if there were two less vamps in this city. New York was over run. This was a vampyre state. The less vampyres, the more humans. More humans, more food. She was tired of traveling so far just to find some blood. And she wouldn't take from a blood bank. Her mother had taught her beter than that.
"do you think we should be concerned about whoever is up on the roof where I was a few minutes ago?"
Shock ran through Hakuya's body and she ducked out of sight but stayed in earshot. She was in the presense of other vampyres! OF COURSE SHE WOULD BE CAUGHT! What was wrong with her today? She had never been this careless. But she just couldn't help herself. Two vamps and a hunter. He was outnumber and no fear ran through his veins. She started to retreat when she heard one of them talk.
"Don't bother...If you want to stay alive, than I would suggest letting this one go."
Relief ran through her now. Thye were meeting again tomorrow. Should she come back and take the risk of being caught?...Or would she leave this strange act between hunter and vampyre?

"Right, then." Nyrk kept his gaze fixed on the ledge of the roof above for a while. Whoever was there was quick enough to keep from being seen, as Nyrk only saw an empty ledge. He turned back to face the other two. "I'd better take care of this first, anyhow." Nyrk waved his right arm, riddled with wounds, both to show the two what he meant without making his point clear to the undefined.
"Well, I rather need to go now, before any more meet up with the third one." Nyrk checked his watch. 3:19 A.M. He left back to his shelter to heal, keeping a swift and quiet pace.
