Morrigan stared at her 'ward' of sorts, wondering how long the human was planning to stay with her. Certainly, Morrigan was of every mind to help a fellow Gargoyle, but the courtesy hadn't ever been extended for a human....
But her thoughts were interrupted as she suddenly caught a flash of movement in the corner of her eye. She half turned, looking for the source of her curiousity.
There! By the lake! It was the other Gargoyle! But Morrigan had no way to call her! Well, she could make an animalistic screech of course, but who knows if the other would hear it, or simply consider it a forest animal...but how to get her to come over to them....
The child! Morrigan all but ran up to the girl, tugging on her wrist and pointing furiously with her staff at the landing gargoyle. She was a fair distance away, and Morrigan couldn't glide from her position on the ground. And judging by her lack of energy and the appearance of the girl, they wouldn't make it that far out without collapsing.
All she could hope for was for the human to attract the other.

Watching and listening the man speak, he couldn't really be sure whether or not to believe him. After some thought, Bryant went over the events as he had seen them. As he did, it made things a little less believable. Gargoyles were more inclined to protect rather than to assault, and the one he spoke with was definitely being protective of the girl. Not to mention that the bandits seemed to want to do more harm than good. One would think that the guy would have mentioned he wanted the girl back alive after all.
Still, there was a bit of belief, though it wasn't much.
"There is always a chance," he said quietly before ducking back and hurrying away as silently and as quickly as he could. Bryant had what he was searching for after all, and he really had no intentions of joining a gang of bandits.
He wasn't sure where he'd go from there. Possibly go seek out the gargoyles and the child to see how they were faring.

Ariana almost yelped when her green guardian angel took her wrist and jerked her a little ways, she then saw her point to something in the distance and she gave a squeak of joy. "Guardian Angel!!! YOU'RE ALRIGHT!!!" she cried shaking herself away from the green one and running to the pink gargoyle. She hugged her tightly burying her face in her hip. "I was scared, guardian angel, I thought I lost you too. The green angel found me, she's hurt, I tried the best I could to tie her wound with the peices of my cloak, but maybe you know something that will help her."

Sighing, Dwenna picked up the pace at the sound of Ariana's voice, her relief evident when the child finally came into sight. One thing she was definitely going to have to get used to: the fact that the little girl was extremely clingy. Glancing towards the heavens, Dwenna let a clawed hand gently run through the girl's dark hair and searched the forest for any looming, familiar shadows.
"Yes, I am fine, and I am sory," she said gravely. "I never should have left you unprotected." Shaking her head, she pulled her wings about her and let her hand fall on Ariana's shoulder, frowning at her words.
"Where is she? How is she hurt?" And what in the world was she going to do about Ariana's safety when dawn came?

Morrigan watched as the young girl sprinted towards the other, and to her utmost shock, almost seemed to cling towards her strongly.
The green gargoyle was speechless as the other made comforting motions towards the other. It almost seemed harmonious, human and gargoyle.....
Her thoughts ran through a hundred different things. Perhaps this was the very clan that she had been searching for. The one her brothers had gone seeking. Where humans and gargoyle lived in peace....
But I thought it was a myth...
She stepped out of the shadow of the forest, reluctant to let the other see her state. Morrigan felt inept with the amount of bandages covering her, and if the humans came back, she would be useless in a fight.
As she stepped forward to greet the other, a slight limp in her step, her mind suddenly locked on to the more important question:
How will see me if she realizes I cannot speak?
Morrigan suddenly felt a tinge of self-loathing. The other gargoyle may very well be afraid or suspicious. Might even think her crazy.
That didn't sit in her mind too well.

"She's over here!" Ariana replied getting ready to tug the pink gargoyle's claw toward the hiding place. But then she saw the green one come toward them, limping. "There she is!" She said half happily half worriedly. "She shouldn't be moving about like that..." She looked back at the pink gargoyle. "she can't really talk, she can hear but she can't...talk like us." Ariana said, trying to explain her green guardian angel to the pink one. "She understands, but...." She frowned trying hard to describe how the green gargoyle understood. Then her eyes lit up. "She understands like a cat." she then said. "only smarter than one."

Dwenna looked up at the movements in the shadows, a slight frown crossing her face as she observed the way the other gargoyle was limping. Between that and all the bandages, she looked to be in pretty bad shape, but the fact that she was still willing to follow Ariana despite injury gained her a strong measure of respect. Dwenna could respect a fellow warrior, even if she did screech like a bear.
And that was going to be the biggest problem, it seemed: communication. And Dwenna wasn't all that good with it, to begin with. She just wasn't able to stay level-headed enough in social situations, unable to trust strangers. She bit her tongue, ignoring the sharp pain that came with it as she tried to figure out how to go about protecting the three of them. She wasn't the brightest in the clan, but she wasn't dull, either - either way, she coudln't write.
"There are caves nearby," she said slowly to the other gargoyle, her voice almost too quiet to carry. "Not part of my clan, but good for a situation like this." She gestured towards the sky. "We don't have much time."

Morrigan glanced to the pair ahead of her, them dropping into the familiar routine of gibberish-speak. She waited impatiently, as she was wanting to move away from the area, and standing around while everyone else was talking.. was uncomfortable.
The green gargoyle watched as the other turned towards her, and started making more gibberish towards her. Morrigan's eyes creased in confusion, but she then watched the other point her hand into the sky,
Perhaps she means to lead us somewhere safe...?
Morrigan nodded back to her, trying to convey agreement. But what about the girl? She cast a look over to the young one, who seemed to be enraptured with the other.
I suppose we won't be getting rid of the human yet..but we can always leave her with other humans. They won't be hard to find, considering they are everywhere... like rats.
Morrigan inwardly frowned, her stigma towards humans plaguing her thoughts again. Having one so near for so long...
We'll just have to see. Not everything is what it seems....

Back in the forest, Bryant worked on backtracking his steps, as well as trying to find where the gargoyles and the child had gone off to. He figured it may be a good idea to check up on their status before finally heading off to his home. It was rather late, and he felt weary from all that was going on.
Slowly, he made his way through the woods, using what clues he could find to track down where the gargoyles currently were. Luckily for him, at least one of them had kept on the ground. It would be practically impossible for him to track them if they both flew around to wherever.
As he moved on, he kept his bow slung over his shoulder, seeing how he doubted he'd need it drawn any time soon. And before too much time had passed, he heard faint voices that sounded a bit familiar nearby. Soon after, he spotted the two gargoyles, as well as the child. It seemed they were all in relatively good health which was nice to find.
Carefully, he stepped closer, but keeping his distance so as to try not to startle or alarm them too much.

The creased brow and confused expression did not go unnoticed by Dwenna. It seemed she was going to have to communicate with her body, rather than words. That was going to be awkward.
'But what to do about Ariana?' Though the little girl didn't posses a threat on her own, circumstantially, she did that and more. Gargoyles had fought with a band of humans, humans who could go back if they'd escaped teh fire and spread horrible tales. Panic had her heart hammering for a moment at the thought of an abush on her clan, or any sort of confrontation. Whether she was to blame or not, things would not go smoothly. Lainnir was an excellent leader, but there were such tempers amoung her brothers and sisters.
And the child would need warmth, food; all sorts of things. She couldn't go back into the woods with the fire going, which meant that Dwenna's original idea was no longer any good. She frowned, nodding at the mysterious green gargoyle and trying to come up with a new plan.
"Where was your family headed, Ariana?" she asked, her attention darting towards the sound of footsteps crackling on a twig or some such. Her nostrils flared, eyes narrowing as she stood protectively in front of the child. Now what?

"Gramma said we were going to some castle..." Ariana replied softly and she looked around. "But...I don't know what castle, or where it is..." She said again. She then saw the man coming toward her and went infront of her two 'guardian angels'. "Go away! Leave my guardian angels alone!" she said spreading her arms as if to shield them. She tried to sound brave and feirce, but she was a little girl, and terrified as to what the man was planning to do. She couldn't very much well fend him off, but maybe she could scare him away? unlikely, but you can't blame the child for trying...even when she caused so much trouble as it were.

As he was noticed, Bryant sighed before raising his hands up some to try and show that he meant no harm to any of them. Though, as the girl started to shout at him, as well as try to shield the gargoyles, he shook his head lightly.
"Calm down. I'm just here to make sure you all are alright, as well as to give a bit of information concerning the girl."
The man looked at the three individually for a few moments while he slowly lowered his hands back by his sides. He wasn't sure if they would be willing to listen to what he had to say, but if they didn't, then it was no longer an issue for him. Bryant just wanted to try and piece a few things together, to see what was really going on here.
"But seeing how you all seem relatively healthy, if you do not wish to hear what I have learned, then I'll just take my leave."

Curse her child curiosity. "What about me?" Ariana replied still keeping her ground between the man and her guardian angels. She wasn't sure she could trust him, but she looked back at her guardian angels for guidence.

Morrigan heard the sound of crackling twigs, as her hearing had become sharper the more she was experienced under her curse. She saw the man approach, and her eyes glowed red.
However, a warning twitch in her leg prevent her from tackling the man to the ground- and it appeared as the other gargoyle and child were not making threatening gestures. Nor was the man- he was raising his hands up to indicate he was without a weapon.
He can't be a threat... The words sounded cowardly to her, and in another situation, she wouldn't have even thought them. Exhaustion must have been pervading her thoughts.
She was broken out of her thoughts as she watched the little girl suddenly throw herself in front of her and the other gargoyle.
As if to protect us? What does she think she can do, small as she is?
The gesture was followed by a string of words that Morrigan couldn't understand, once again. But the gesture touched a string somewhere in Morrigan's heart. A human protecting gargoyles...?
Perhaps she is the only one, Morrigan told herself. She couldn't give up the years of hatred towards them because of one small human's actions. She just couldn't.
The green gargoyle half turned to eye to the other gargoyle. Morrigan's curse of not speaking made her useless in gathering information from the two present speakers. She would have to look to the other gargoyle to make the decision on what to do with the humans.
