When I meant ammo, I meant draft picks + cap space + trade bait. Philly has a bunch of that where as Giants have trade bait on the offense side but none on the defense where Cards would need it, dont hve near as much of cap space thanks to Jacobs but does have plenty of picks. It would be very interesting since both teams are considered the only runners for Boldin. But I dont think either one is going to get him. Cards will force him to stay this year and then try to re-sign him after the upcomming season.

Speculators say that Mathias Kiwanuka could be the odd man out, to get traded. Also, Robbins and Cofield may be shipped elsewhere. Along with a lot of draft picks, they could make the case for a big trade. The Giants also have a decent amount of salary cap space, especially if they terminate the hefty contract or Burress. Anyways, I'm not in too much favor of a trade for an NFL player. I want the Giants to draft a LB and a WR with their first two picks. The Giants pick at #29 in the first round, so it might be hard to select a top LB. I'm hoping that the Giants can get a guy like Cushing or Laurinaitis, even if we have to trade up a bit. Also, I wouldn't rule out Plaxico returning, if his legal woes go smoothly.

But still, Like I said, when they did the report on the Bolding situation, they said the top two would be Giants and Philly. They only gave Philly the edge because they have more cap space and a bit more trade bait and ammo. That is what they said.

I'm a member of the message boards on Giants.com and I was on Thursday. While posting around, I came across this post: StarWarsGiant I am a huge Giants Fan living in Philly. I was listening to 950 espn radio the Mike Micinelli show. He said and during their sports report breaks that reports out of Arizona are that Boldin is officially on the blocks. Two teams mentioned were the Giants and the Eagles. here are the offers Eagles a 2nd and 3rd round this year, Giants 1st and 3rd this year and a 1st next year. Has anybody else heard this? If this is true what do you think? I don't know if it's true, but I hope it isn't. I want the Giants to get Boldin, but that is way too much to give up. Also, once he would get here, we'd have to re-negotiate a long term and expensive contract. I also don't think that the Giants would offer more than the Eagles, and the Eagles less than the Giants. Jerry Reese is usually conservative, so I don't think the Giants would have offered such a lucrative deal. The most I would give up for Boldin is our first second rounder, and a third rounder.

You see what I mean? See the problem is that both Philly and NY are very stingy about their draft picks. But both have same amount of picks in the top 60. Philly has 2 First rounders so they could either make an impact with the draft or they could trade one of those and say a 3rd and two 5ths (they have 4). Plus they still have more than 30 mil under the cap. Of which there is not a team out there save for the Bucs who have that. But I could be mistaken as well. This is going to be interesting to see what happens. But like I said, I think Arizona is going to keep him. Also, Philly has a couple of LB's that wont come close to cracking the rotation that they could trade. That would be an immense help to Arizona. Their D-Line is set and their DB's are half decent. They just need LB's. That is a section that NY is kind of weak at at the moment.

First and foremost, I want the Giants to select a linebacker with their first round pick at #29. Hopefully Laurinaitis or Cushing, maybe Matthews. If they are going to keep their second round pick, then they should select a WR like Britt or Robiskie. If neither is on the board, then they could take Barden with the other second rounder or their third rounder. The Giants also need a safety and tight end, and also a cornerback. I'd also like to see them take an offensive lineman and running backer in the late rounds, just for depth. If the Giants were to trade for a player that they can possibly get, then I'd like to see them make a move for either Anquan Boldin or Braylon Edwards, and also possibly Tony Gonzales. But no way is another team touching our first round pick, unless we can trade up for Maualuga, Curry, or Crabtree. I'm also interested in the Burress thing, because he could possibly be back, lessening our need for another receiver.

there are very few positions weak this year in the draft. They are kickers (like usual), DT's, FB and QB. Overall it is a deep draft for OT, WR, TE, RB, DE, S. After a few select, there really is no drop-off in talent throughout the draft. It is a very solid and deep draft that will most likely have the most players stay in the league than any other year.

They are set for at least next season. Competition will be good for them, to strengthen the QB position. Anyways, they already have a good defense and great running game, so they should focus on WR in the first round.

I think that OL and WR are the two deepest positions in this draft. After that it is RB and then TE. Those are the 4 top and deepest positions in the draft.
There are reports that Philadelphia may actually start the draft with a defensive pick. It may be a good idea if they find someone who can immediatly improve the team. I just do not see any player in the draft on the defensive side that can do that this year.
