Adriel gave Veil a confuse look as he served himself some food and did Daniel. Both of them exchange a look then went back to looking at Veil, expecting her to explain her sentence.

After a moment, Adriel shrugged. "Veil, if you fill uncomfortable eating with us, you can serve what you want to eat and eat in your room, we are not forcing you to be here. If you don't like my cooking, please say so, I could use the criticism. If you are allergic to anything, please tell me and in our next meal, I'll make sure to avoid it."

Daniel nodded. "I know all this might seemed to be weird, but we are used to having guests, at least back in our homeland we did. So don't worry about being a little picky with us, we don't mind it."

Blushing, Veil realized that she’d sounded quite foolish before the pair, and looked away from their eye line. All these years and still…her personality was so veiled. “N-no it’s okay. I’ll just have a little then, I suppose.” Not wanting to be rude, but at the same time she really wanted some of the amazing smelling food.

It was some sort of thick stew, mixed with a few spare veggies, with chucks of meat. Swirling about together in the large bowl, steam rose aplenty and mingled with a strong smell. The perfect food for winter. Again, her thoughts turned outside and the danger lurking not too far off. A meal before going into battle? Maybe so. It was a rather unhealthy thing, and also unkind, her thoughts simmering to the surface. Hopefully they wouldn’t render on her doll like face, at least not just yet.

Both men looked at her for a moment then shrugged. Adriel ate quietly as he observed nothing in particular, sinking himself in his own thoughts. He had never been much for conversation and tended to just let his mind drift away from him. His blue eyes stared at his food for a long moment, he didn't started eating again until he found that his vision was crossed eyed from staring for too long. A couple of blinks fixed that.

Daniel smiled and looked towards the window. "Hmmm...Hopefully we won't get snowed in."

"Doubt it, I'm going to go scout the dojo after dinner."

"What? Are you insane?" Daniel stared surprise and when Adriel arched an eyebrow, he growled. "Adriel, its cold out there, really really cold, and most of your clothes are in the washing machine. I think your suit and what you re wearing right now is the only thing that isn't."

Again, all that Adriel did was stare with an arched eyebrow.

".....Okay, so there is new clothes you never wore in the closet in your room, but still, why would you go out there? The dojo isn't meant to open until next fall anyways."

"Just want to have a moment to think, I suppose, and I dislike being inside houses for too long...."

"Its barely been five hours..."

"It feels like two months."

"Augh...."

Veil’s interest was peaked at this, and she dropped her spoon back into the bowl. “Dojo?” Her question seemed to ponder the very word, although she was well aware of the said place. Suddenly her hunger was gone and another was fueled. Open spaced, hardwood floors. Finding herself quickly standing up, her eyes filled with determination. “May we go?” The snow was piling up higher and higher outside, and so if she didn’t ask now it might be impossible for her to join the Doctor out there, simply because of her height.

Knowing that danger might be lurking, it was mentally pushed aside with her excitement. Silly girl, she thought. So much knowledge and still just a child at her core. Such weight on her shoulders always seemed to get dodged in situations like these. Clenching her hands to a fist that gripped the table cloth, she looked them in the eyes. Both of the men. “I know I’m in no place to ask for anything, but this one thing…please?” Tilting her head, a few stray locks of her crimson hair slipped down to the side of her neck.

Daniel arched a brown high at both of them. "Did you two not show up when they were giving out common sense?"

Adriel rose to his feet, if only to look more intimidating when he was about to tell Veil off about going outside in her condition, but he stop when she spoke again. His eyes narrow suspiciously for a moment before he turned away. "Very well, go get dress on something warmer, I am sure you can picked something out from Daniel's closet that will suit you in this cold. I'll meet you at the door." He walked away from the dinning room.

Daniel just stared with his mouth open. Oh come on!

…Veil’s own eyes narrowed as she turned away, knowing what he must be thinking. Somehow it made her angry that he would look at her that way…

Reaching out she grasped Daniels hands in hers and she looked at him with her best puppy dog eyes. It didn’t help the poor young man that she was quite attractive and looked like a picture perfect doll either. “May I borrow a coat please Daniel?” Although she had the okay from Dr. Hart, she needed to ask before borrowing a coat. However, either way, Veil was determined to get to that dojo. Energy seeming to return to her to the point of her wanting to make mischief, Veil knew that it was only because of this burst of will. It was an illusion she would pay for later. No matter.

Adriel walked to the master bedroom and changed into a thick black jacket, and pulled on his second pair of black working boots. He dare glance at the mirror for a moment and removed the jacket and shirt he wore, he put on a long sleeve shirt and glance once again. He moved his arms and grinned at the flexibility he got from the lack of bulk clothing. Nodding, he walked to the front door and grabbed the sheathed katana, pulling the string throught his jean's loops, he tied it. Folding his arms, he waited patiently.

-------

Daniel looked at her with disapproving eyes that she would even try to use that on him. Beautiful or not, he was not about to fall for no puppy eyes. He huffed at her attempted and rose from his seat abruptly. "Very well." He said angrily at their stupidness. He expected it from Adriel, but then again, he knew what Adriel was capable, after the man could make you useless from the waist down with one strike of his blade.

Walking to his room, he grabbed his thickest coat for Veil and handed it over. "And don't argue with me, in the condition you were when you came in....goodness, neither of you should be going out there, less of all you!"

Preachy, preachy. He could preach and nag all day, but they wouldn't listen to him....why? Cause he was speaking frigging sense!

Veil went to grab the coat from Daniels hands, but tugged on his arm instead lowering him more to her level. Holding his arm down, she looked at him before slipping her face next to his, her eyes slit with utmost seriousness. “You have a lot of knowledge for a man your age, and I appreciate that. I take it into account as well, but there are some things that I am just bound to do.” Her words were whispered with an underlying sense of duty, deeply rooted in her being. At those words the tattoo on her back seemed to burn her skin. Letting his wrist go, she slipped the coat over her shoulders, face slipping back to one of a dolls expression. Looking back at him from her childish form, she smiled a grin with fangs. “This is one of them.”

With that she turned the corner and headed for the door, like a butterfly chasing the air to a place that never existed. Pulling her arms through the coat, she blinked up at Dr. Hart as she spotted the weapon at his side. Almost breathing a sigh of relief, she nodded to herself and stayed silent. Good. “Shall we go then?” The snow was outside, and her body ached at the thought, but still despite all the thoughts weighting on her mind, the image of the dojo almost pushed that away completely.

Daniel stared back at her, unmoved by her words. ".....'things that I am just bound to do'.....I hate to sound like the teenager I am, but the is one of the stupidest things I ever heard anyone utter." He shot back as he follow her down to the front door to see them both off. He hissed angrily at Adriel's attire. "Wear a coat!"

Adriel, as he did many times, ignore this. "Ah, good to see you are ready." He looked down at Veil, giving an approving nod. He looked up to Daniel and gave a ghostly smile. "Hope tea is ready when we come back..."

"And a hot bath to get rid of your frost bite! At least wear gloves!"

"I am wearing gloves" The healer smile as he open the door.

"No you are not!"

The white haired man looked down at his hands in surprise then chuckled. "I could had sworn I put some one....Oh well, too late now! See you in a while, Daniel." He stepped outside into the cold air.

"Augh!" Daniel threw his hands up in anger as he stormed off to some other part of the house.

“Fwaaah.” Veil sighed in happiness as the snow landed on her head. Smiling so much, her eyes shut for a moment, and then listening to the crunching snow realized that she was getting left behind. Eyes opening, she trudged in Dr. Hart’s footsteps to make up for lost time. He moved fast, but so could she. In no time at all, she caught up to his long strides, all the while still following behind him in an almost mock obedient manner. Like a child.

“You know how to fight then…?” She smiled at him with an eerie grin, one that she couldn’t help be force. “That’s very impressive.” Honestly, she knew that he was getting played, and that he himself was even aware of it. It wasn’t the way she wanted it to be, but it’s all just how it ended up. If only she hadn’t been injured that night, Veil could’ve escaped faster. The time was fast closing. The only way to console herself was to keep up being ‘normal’, but inside she was screaming at him to call her on it.

Adriel walked in long stripes, but his steps were measured, calculated and tired. His eyes become that royal purple, ready, his spirit lit and his face twisted in a small smirk of a predator. Those eyes turned onto Veil, wild still and tame at the same time. He looked less human at the moment, as his white hair flew about him with breeze and clouds of hot breath clouded his features. He looked like a well trained beast, ready to kill on command, train to do what it would had done to survive had it been free. "...I thought I told you I dislike to be deceived, Veil."

Had he been in the shadows, had he been ready to truly strike, Veil wouldn't had known he been human had he attacked her. Almost all his gentleman mannerism was gone, but for the elegance in which he carried himself, his slender and muscular body moved with out fault at moment. "I thought I made it clear..." His voice was low velveted purrr, the voice of a killer hidden behind the seductive getleman's one.

Veil’s whole disposition changed at the sight of his malice, from the way she stood even. Eyes were serious and cut to the core of matters blinked back at him, in a most reflective manner. The pair seemed to bristle back and forth at each other, like two lions ready to strike on the same prey. His eyes were amazingly powerful, and the sight of this strength stirred the energy in her blood that he’d willingly shared with her. Brilliant, that’s all he simply was.

“If we’re talking crystal clear, nothing ever is” Her words were plainly spoken as fact, and she knew it might raise more anger in him. Veil would almost rather he struck her down than the one tracking her. But she still had a mission to complete. “So you want the whole truth and nothing but?” Honestly, she was bound to him owing her life. If he took it, she had no right to blame. And so she wouldn’t.

Tearing the coat from her back, she jerked a thumb to her shoulder blades. “I carry on my back a microscopic data code. It’s the only code in existence that when used can splice people and Pokemon together into it’s own living entity.” Time was of the essence at this moment, knowing that underlying her ‘strength’ she was afraid of him. More pointedly, afraid of what might happen to the people linked to that code, if something happened to it. “I carry it, the only copy left.”Her hot breath rose as mist as she poke. Looking into his violet eyes, Veil wondered if there was enough of him left to comprehend the truth, or if she was just as good as dead.

"I ask for what I need to know, not for what I do not. If there is something I must, then do tell me, woman, because I cannot function without that." He answer simply, or at least it was simple to him. He listen to her, his pointy ears lightly twitching under the white hairs as heard her words. His face contort for a moment. Wild purple eyes looked at her closely before he gave a lightly nod and looked away. "Then by all means you should had stayed behind with Daniel."

"....and no offense to you, dear m'lady, but you should tore your skin or removed such blemish from your skin if this is what it brings. It is nothing but short of stupid to carry such things in such ways." His eyes turned away, something stirring deep between him, but he did not want to let his wild side go off just yet, not without a target that was worthy. He open his mouth slightly as he took deep breaths, how long can he keep the killer hidden between the darkness that engulfed his mind? How long could he last against the itching to spill blood and show his worth as a fighter? How long.....could his wildest heart beat chain under metal strings that contort and strangle it for control...

His mind reverted back to his past, how easy he picked up on the fight moves, how easily he took on his opponents and how glorious it felt when he finally got his first kill. Now, in this day, he could care less for any of those feelings, but sometimes the beast stirred, and he knew there was no beast and just himself wanted to be true to what he was.....but what was he? Shaking away his thoughts, his eyes narrow to slits as he stared at the dojo, standing in its own greatness, a frozen small ponds stood to the side, signal by the long canes that spout from the ice itself.

His eyes fell to the snow, searching it for tracks like a dog did the earth for a specific scent.

Her arms crossed as she began to speak once more, raising her head her long hair broke free from the loose braid and flared out in the wind. “You ask to know what you need to know, so this is apart of it. It’s the whole reason for this danger! If I could have gotten rid of it, I would have. Unfortunately, I’m the sacrificial lamb in this case, and it’s already a scar on its own, mind you.” Veil was a complete subject of this DNA alteration, but there was a group of people, even scientists that were relying on getting the code from her. It was for that group of people were cursed, even moreso than her, that needed these binary numbers to become free. Eyes flashing with compassion, Veil drew a slow breath. It was no time to loose her mind to anger or confusion, it was just time to be calm. A scar wasn’t always a bad thing, this she had learned. You just deal with them.

“Look….I …” Just then in a violent flash of red light cut off her relaxed words, and Veil’s eyes became voided and her body convulsed in complete reaction. A red lased flashed engulfed her slender and small form, completely over taking it in an instant, changing her eyes all sorts of sickly colorings. No sooner had this happened what was now just a shell from the unforeseen attack, her body listed forwards without any control whatsoever as her entire life-force was gone. In that instant, she had seemingly been struck down. Her body lay limply as if not ever alive at all.

The young man several feet off gripped the poke ball in his fist, a triumphant grin split his lips. Tightening his muscles against the cool metal, he felt it rock against his grip in defiance. The button was lit up, the will of that girl trying desperately not to be captured and return to her body. It was only a matter of time though, and this made him giddy with delight. A Pokemon was still a Pokemon, even if it was half human. It could be captured. Her mind in the pokeball was as good as he was going to get, because it wasn't easy to tear apart a whole body made from a mix that should never have been.

Standing up from his kneeling position in the snow, he tucked the raging spirit of that woman away into his belt. “One down, one to go.” His eyes were level and challenging, glaring at Adriel through his long dark bangs. “Seeing as you never wanted her around to begin with, I’ll just be taking the rest of her with me.”

Bones was tall and not rather muscular, which is what he wanted. Through that, he could assume many lies and become whoever he needed to be to accomplish his task. Right now however, only himself would be the one to get the job done. Tugging at his long ribbed sweater, his slightly padded vest got caught in a gust and flapped a bit. Not dramatic or anything, just practical. Always practical. The shortsword tied to his hip clanked against his side a bit as he took a step forwards. “Although, you look like you’re past being a reasonable man.”

Purple eyes watched the red beam with some sick fascination, he stopped her motionless body from hitting the ground too hard, making sure her body was at least well in his arms, he seemed to slightly ignore the man, as he fixed her coat and walked to the dojo, putting Veil's body down on the soft wood that made the flooring. He knew the a pokeball's beam shouldn't engulf a human, he knew this because that's what a pokeball did to him, but he didn't lose anything by it, his body just activated it. It was a strange phenomena that he did not care for.

Turning to face the other man, his violent eyes narrow, their wild state was easily read. He did not care for this man as he drew out the slender blade, he study it for a single moment, how many times had it gone through the flesh of his enemies...but not a single time has it taken a life...no...he left that job to his bare hands and his acute fangs that begged for that blood.

He gave a soft sound before he finally spoke. "I do not wish to give her up, I rather you gave back what you took and leave my sight before you regret it." He held the sword in a challeging stance. "But if you do not, I don't mind, I have killed before and I have gotten away with it." His eyes flashed like the ones of a cat when the light hit them. A gap in the clouds let the moon shine through. Humans, at least thought that were completely human, did not do that with their eyes, but Adriel had given up trying to figure out what he was.

"Now...either give me the pokeball peacefully, or I'll take it by force."
