James shook his head, then looked at Tom. "No, just football," he replied, then looked at her, "We should hang out a bit more often," he said before stepping aside for Tom to come in while he went to peruse the candy cart.

Tom blushed, she was easily swayed by complaints. " Awe! Thanks Gab. You are looking bright and cheery yourself!" She hooked the girl's arm with her own and lead her into their compartment. Tom's hair was now electric pink and blindingly bright. "How was your summer?" she inquired and sat eth girl down, taking the seat next to her.

Gabriella sunk in the seat next to Tom with a heavy sigh, "Oh, you know my parents. They only let me visit one friend this summer and she had to be with in a certain miles." Then taking the bright pink hair and twirling it around her finger. "But what about you, love? How was your summer?" she asked excitedly.

"Well." tom started. "Mom was and still is on holiday with her boy toy in Transylvania, I was working at the joke shop everyday, I Rented a room up above it. It was pretty sweet, But no one visited..." She smirked and let the girl play with her hair, it was nice to have someone treat her like this, she wished her own mother would be so kind. But alas she was not.

Gabi shook her head, "Has to be hard on you a little bit." She still stroking the girls hair. "You know this next summer we should do something together." She gave the girl a hug. Her eyes shone bright blue for love for this girl they were good friends and she felt bad for her not having a proper mum.

James came back, poking his head in, "Candy?" he asked, his pockets, arms, and hands full of sweets and treats. "And no, I don't really wanna turn blue,' he said to Tom. "Got any other bribes?"

Tom shrugged. "I got a job in the summer, but If you want to set something up I'd love to." She smiled at the girl, and then looked up at James. She did not have any clue what she might be able to bribe him with.... "How about... I..." She looked around for inspiration, then picked up her bag. She dug around until she found exactly what she wanted. "...give you..." She took out a small wooden box held closed with a metal latch. "My new trick?" She held out the box for him, hoping he would be foolish enough to open it.

He looked at it warily, "How about you open it and I'll see if I like it?" he suggested, remembering last time he opened one of Tom's gifts. He mentally shuddered, he couldn't get the spell off for weeks.

Gabi smiled at James as he came in the room. Taking a chocolate frog for herself, she giggled at Tom and the mysterious box. "Oh come one James where's your sense of adventure?" she asked with a wink. She knew that most of Tom's gifts were not very kind to the person they were given to. Normally Gabi wouldn't participate but she wanted a good laugh to shake off the last bits of gloom that was still around her because of her parents.

"Fine, I'll open it." She taped on the box a few times, and flipped up the latch. It opened smoothly inside was a soft velvet lining. That held a very pretty set of gem stone earrings. "see, nothing to fear, I bet Lisa would love these." She held the open box out for him to take. She would not tell him what was special about them until later.

Gabi shivered, "Hey now James. My ears are sensitive and whispering in them makes me get the goose pimples." She exposed one arm that was now covered with little tiny bumps. Then when the box opened to show nothing but ear rings she sighed. Gabi wasn't one to open things with out having a tiny clue what was inside. "Oh and who is this Lisa?" She said with a wink to the boy at her side.

He raised an eyebrow at Tom, then blushed a little bit. "A girl back home," he replied, taking the box. "Thanks Tom," he said, closing the box and balancing it in his lap. "Anything I should know about them?" he asked warily. He was trying to hide the fact that he had a girlfriend from Gabi, but he wasn't sure why.

"Nothing at all." She said smiling widely. she would not tell him that they would cause her ears to grow pointed and her finger nails to turn electric blue until much later...like after he had given them to her... She loved tricks. "She's his lover." Tom said and made a kissy sound. "I bet she's smoken" She laughed and leaned back against her seat. Her hair turned a pinkish reddish orange and she sighed.

"Not lover!" he replied, turning red and looking at Gabbi for her reaction. He set the earrings aside, watching Gabbi as he began to eat some acid pops.
