The kick connected and cross was floored. The fans cheered with every move that was thrown in this match.

Travis got up to his feet immediately, his adrenaline pumping from his bout of offense. He sized Cross up, and waited for him to get to his feet before sending a kick to his midsection and attempting to hit him with his finisher, "The Skylight."
(( It's a one-armed underhook DDT with a leg-sweep, if you can picture that. ))

((I can picture that.))
Cross was hit with the kick and bent over, but as Travis attempted to hook him for his finisher, Cross would attempt to perform a double leg takedown, and look to turn it into Judgment.
((High-angled Boston crab. But double leg takedown, I don't mean the usual way where you come down with the guy you're doing it too, but more like when Chris Jericho grabs someones legs and pulls them out from under them, then turns it into the walls? That is what I'm going for.))

Travis was brought down, he fought the counter as hard as he could, but it wasn't enough. He was caught in Judgement and screamed in pain, stretching as far as he could to try and get to the ropes.

Cross tried to inch his way away from the ropes to prevent Travis from getting the breaks, while also trying to wrench back, putting pressure on his opponents lower back and legs.

Travis wouldn't allow himself to submit. He struggled and struggled to try and get to the ropes, when it seemed like that wouldn't work, he attempted to maneuver his body between Cross' legs as he inched him away from the ropes.

As Travis attempted to get through his legs, Cross would attempt to sit down further, hoping to put that extra bit of pressure to finish the match.

Travis continued to struggle, reaching and stretching and using all of his strength to reach the ropes. His determination only got him so far, before he slowly began to lose all his energy. The fight he was putting up was only further exhausting him, and he became motionless.

Cross continued to apply pressure, noting that Travis had stopped moving. He began to yell for the ref to check on his opponent, interspersed with him yelling for Travis to tap.

The Ref came down to Travis, pushing on him lightly and trying to get a reaction out of him. Eventually the ref grabbed Travis' arm and went for the old limpness test. He lifted it once, and it dropped limply to the mat. He lifted a second time, and had the same result. The third time, however, Travis held his arm up. He clenched his hand into a white-knuckled fist as he pumped his arm as hard as he could, trying to use all the strength he had left in one final attempt to get to the ropes.

Before Travis could get to the ropes, however, Cross released the hold and went for a quick stomp, followed by an elbow drop, to his opponents back.

A euphoric, relieving sensation over came Travis as the hold was released. Unfortunately that feeling lasted for about a half second as both the stomp and the elbow came crashing down onto Travis' back.

Cross attempted to drag Travis back to the center of the ring and turn him face up. If this had gone off without a hitch, he would go for Genesis once again, followed by a pin attempt. He felt like he was closing in and seemingly, the fans did too, as they were on the edge of their seats.

Whether or not Christopher Cross was poised for a victory, or if Travis had something else up his sleeve couldn't be determined. Either way, the fans could sense that if there was a time for this match to end, it was approaching fast. The lights beamed down on Travis' face as he lay flat on his back in the center of the ring. Something inside of him was screaming to do something, anything. His eyes seemed glazed over, and just about every inch of his body was in pain. Still, his passion for glory and his dedication to his fans gave him the strength to sit up as Cross was poising himself for Genesis.
Travis quickly rolled over and stood up, his legs shaking as he limped over to the turnbuckle where Cross was. He attempted to climb right behind Cross and wrap his arms around the man's waist, where he would throw himself backwards in hopes of connecting with a German suplex.

Cross was halfway up the turnbuckle, when Travis came from behind. The last thing he felt before sailing backwards was his opponents arms wrap around his mid-section. The only thing after that was a thud that left his head reeling. He could barely even hear the fans screaming as he stared up at the lights. The thought crossed his mind that, perhaps, the match was over for him.
