With each and every word, Jaione couldn't help giggling even more, a blush rising on her face and slowly getting darker and darker. She glanced away sheepishly when he kissed her hand. This romantic thing was going to be even harder for her. She accepted the kiss wholeheartedly, wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing back-
Just in time for a knock at the door. She held the kiss a moment longer, ears flicking back irritably, before she pulled back and glanced at the door, arms still wrapped around his neck. Ears straining a bit, she could make out the familiar ringing of a bell, and she let her arms fall from around Luke's neck, her face falling into one of her hands. "You can't be serious..." she mumbled, chuckling at Luke nervously. "Sorry about this; I seem to have a sort of stalker at the moment," she said with a roll of her eyes, before going to open the door. As soon as the door was open, the childish male cattaur pounced toward Jaione, hugging her around the waist and licking her cheek happily, letting out what looked like it could have been a laugh, though there wasn't a single bit of sound coming from his mouth. Unless, of course, you were Jaione- the laugh was transferred directly into her mind, and she rolled her eyes slightly, wiggling out of her friend's grasp."Nice to see you again, Eifa," she commented, chuckling nervously and giving a slight, apologetic smile toward Luke. "He's like a growth~ impossible to get rid of!!" she noted, very obviously teasing.The cattaur, now known as Eifa, laughed happily, the bell tied with a ribbon to his tail ringing as it was flicked back and forth. 'Now, Jai, I'm not that bad, am I?' he commented sweetly toward her. As soon as his green eyes alighted on Luke, he smiled brightly, trotting across the room toward him and bowing, before offering him a hand. 'You're Luke, am I right?' he asked, smile on his face, mouth not moving a single bit. 'Jai's told me tons about you, you know. Pleasure to meet you in person!' And still, he wasn't speaking outloud; main reason? He couldn't.
He was mute. And a telepath. Who Jaione had met while Luke wasn't there. At school. There were so many possibilities as to why he was there. Few of them were very good.

Luke flicked his ears. Who on earth would that be? He wasn't expecting anyone else... He tilted his head when Jai spoke. "You're expecting someone?"
It took quick thinking and control to stop himself from punching the guy who had just barged in and licked his new mate so familiarly. But Jai knew him... "Yeah, I am." He said in a slightly stunned voice, shaking the offered hand. A telepath... interesting. He blinked to reorient himself. "So, what brings you here?" How did he know Jai was here?!
Hearing a new voice, Vesna felt it was safe to come out from the kitchen and blinked in suprise at the cattaur holding Jaione. "Been busy collecting, have you Jai?" She asked teasingly, playfully elbowing her friend's side.

Well, it wasn't so much that she was expecting someone. Glad to have the third cattaur off of her, she shook her head in reply to Luke's question. "He has a habit of sneaking up on me," she joked slightly. Actually, it was true. Especially during school, when he would just appear and manage to make something spill, or catch fire, or -on one occasion- explode. She nearly jumped at the sudden re-appearance of her friend, and she mock-gasped pressing a hand to her chest in a jokingly offended way. "Me? Collecting? Of course not!!" she couldn't help but giggle and shake her head. "Really, I haven't been trying. Aside from you lot, I think Eifa's the only other friend I have."
'I do not sneak up on you, Jai! After all, you know I'm there when I get there, don't you?' he asked rhetorically, winking at the cattaur who merely rolled her eyes. 'All formalities and such aside; actually, I was here because we were originally going to meet up once again after our family reunions and such, but obviously that plan was canceled.' He glanced toward Jai with a slight glare, only for the cattaur to look away with a soft blush, embarrassed.
However, upon glancing in that direction, his eyes fell upon Vesna; probably not a good thing. 'Well, hello there,' he murmured softly, a gentle smile on his face as he approached the other girl, bell on the end of his tail ringing as it was swished back and forth. He bowed to her, gently kissing the back of her hand and then smiling toward her. 'You're Vesna, am I right? Childhood friend of my dear friend Jaione?'

Luke just watched from the side, snickering softly at Jai's blush. "Sorry if we disrupted your plans." He said honestly, walking over and gently patting the female's back. His hand lingered at the base of her back, getting himself used to the contact and, unconciously, laying his claim to her in front of the stranger.
Vesna giggled at Jai before looking in suprise at Eifa, her ears turning slightly pink. Did he just kiss her hand? "Yes, that's right. It's nice to meet another friend of Jai's." She said pleasantly, automaticly going into hostess mode. "Would you like something to drink Eifa? I was just making some tea."

"Very sorry. But I couldn't just leave my life-long friends behind, could I?" Jaione smiled at the contact, leaning against her new mate and wrapping her arms around his waist, purring softly. In all honesty, she was completely aware that she was trying to give Eifa the hint that she wasn't interested in him, and never really had been. Well, alright, maybe for a moment earlier in the day when she had seen that Luke was already with someone, but that was a little bit different, and she didn't exactly want to think about it. Unfortunately, the persistent little bugger merely looked over and rolled his eyes, attention returning to the cervitaur.
Eifa smiled in a very gentlemanly manner, his tail swishing happily. 'I would love some tea, milady,' he commented gently, automatically talking straight to her, which would mean that no one else would be able to hear his side of the conversation now, something that always irritated Jaione to a severe extent. His only hope was that it would somehow make her jealous. Which, in all seriousness, was not going to happen. He smiled pleasantly at the girl. 'Would mind if I helped you out in the kitchen?'

Vesna nodded. "All right. I'll-" She paused. He wanted to help? "Sure you can. The kitchen is this way. Come on." She smiled, heading for the kitchen door. Her ears still had a pink tint from Eifa's smooth talking.
Luke smiled gently when Jaione returned his affections. "Life-long." He cooed. At least he figured that Jai wouldn't leave with the other guy now. But was he moving in on Vesna?! His father side popped up quickly and he spoke with a friendly but authorative voice. "Actually Eifa, why don't you sit out here with me and Jai, so you two can visit like you had wanted to earlier?" All he received was an eye rolling from his daughter as she disappeared into the other room.

Jaione chuckled softly at the reiteration, before smiling up at the cattaur and kissing him on the cheek. "Well, not whole like long; not yet, at least," she said softly, giggling at the comment. However, she couldn't help but groan in her mind when Luke asked Eifa should just stay out with the two of them. She would get absolutely livid if he made a move on her friend, and he knew if very well; just as well as she knew his true motives. "Don't worry about him, Luke," she said softly, taking his hand and giving it a gentle squeeze to tell him that she knew what she was doing. "Go one, Eifa, go get her," she commented with a roll of her eyes and a flick of her tail when the boy left.
As soon as he was out of sight and probably blabbering away, Jaione chuckled softly and kissed Luke softly. "Don't worry; he won't do anything, and if he does, I'll probably be able to get rid of him pretty quick." She twisted a couple strands of Luke's hair around the tip of her finger. "I met him out at school, and he's been aiming for me ever since then," she glanced around, as though able to tell if he would be listening, and stood on tiptoe to whisper into Luke's ear. "Besides, I don't think he really likes girls as much as he lets on; he's going after Vesna to get me jealous and we can only pray that she sees that..." If he at all stole that girl's heart, she would physically take his.
Glad to oblige, Eifa waded into the room, swishing his tail to either side as he observed the small kitchen, pushing the door closed with one of his feet. 'This is a nice living place you've got here,' he commented, looking around. Time for unneeded small talk, then; he knew plenty about this girl already, but why not ask for it in her own words? 'So, how long have you known Jaione?'

Luke frowned in confusion at Jai and threw a defensive look at Eifa before a shiver of pleasure from her kiss, instantly distracting him. He nodded slowly in understanding, then sighed almost wearily. "Vesna's a smart gir- woman, but she hasn't had much experience with guys... I don't know." He cast a protective look at the kitchen door before wrapping his arms around Jaione's waist and smirking. "Just so you know... if Vesna does fall for him, and he's really what you think he is, I'm going to tear him a new one. Hope you won't mind." He rubbed his nose against hers and brushed their lips together.
Vesna dropped a couple tea bags into the kettle before nodding to Eifa. "Thank you. It's not much, but it's home. Right?" She went to the cupboard, making sure her rear swayed just a little more than it usually would. She wasn't sure about Eifa, but it was worth a try, right? He seemed to be attracted to her.... She wouldn't mind a boyfriend.
"We've been friends since we were babies." She said with a nostalgic smile. "That was actually the day we all became friends. She's probably told you all about that though." Pulling out four cups, she walked back and placed them onto a carrying tray. "So you and Jai met at the school?"

Jaione laughed easily at her mate's comment, accepting the kiss happily. "You're right, she is smart," Jaione noted, glancing over toward the kitchen as well, hoping that the stupid telepath wasn't listening in on their conversation, though she could bet that he probably was. "Don't worry about that, Lukie," she joked, the 'petname' more of a joke to her than anything as she laughed softly. "If he does anything of the sort, I can promise that I'll be right there with you."
Eifa chuckled a bit, not at all wary of letting his eyes roam across the cervitaur's body in the least, especially given the fact that the other two were in a different room anyway. 'Very true,' he agreed with a sage nod of his head, before raising his eyebrows in an impressed fashion. 'You have quite a good memory, don't you, miss?' he questioned with a high amount of interest. 'I haven't met many 'taur who can remember back to when they were babies, even magical ones,' he said, thoughtful.
'Hmm? Ah, yes, I met Jaione in school. I only really knew her for about the first week, but we met a few other times after that,' he noted, nodding a bit, before looking at the girl in an interested way. 'If you don't mind me asking, Vesna, what happened to your eye...?'

Luke rolled his eyes. "Really? Lukie? What about 'hot stuff,' or 'handsome,' even 'master.'" He said jokingly, tensing his muscles in case of a punch.
"That's good to know. He wouldn't be getting away from both of us. And actually, I bet Vesna would be there too." He said with a smirk, tail flicking proudly.
Vesna paused and tilted her head. "Actually, I don't remember specifics about back then. I remember... an apple tree, and Jaione getting stuck in it. We'd only met that day, but I was afraid for her. My dad got her down though." She smirked. "Otherwise, my memory is all right."
Reflexivly at his mentioning, her free hand reached up, brushing the cheek defensivly below her blind white eye. "It was when I was a child. I'm suprised Jai didn't tell you about that."

Jaione wasn't sure whether to laugh or hiss at the male's response, instead settling on a roll of the eyes, settling both her hands around his waist and letting her electricity dance up his sides, which would definitely be a strange feeling, if not a little bit ticklish, depending. "Oh, I don't know. Those names don't really fit too well, Lukie~" she said easily with a gentle smirk. "I could always call you 'kitten', if you would prefer that," she commented with a girlish giggling, kissing Luke on the chin.
Eifa nodded, impressed despite that fact. 'Still more than most would be able to remember,' he said with a bit of a nod, chuckling some, though there was a visible cringe in his expression at the mention of Vesna's father. Oh, that man and his... water magic. Or... something equally as annoying.
'She didn't, in fact,' he said, nodding a bit and tipping his head in concern. Just because she hadn't told him, didn't mean that he hadn't read through the memories that drifted across Vesna's consciousness upon the mention. 'She was actually rather short with me,' he noted, taking a step closer to the woman and brushing her cheek with the back of his fingers, just beneath her blind eye. 'Though I wouldn't mind hearing the story from you, Miss Vesna.'

Luke stuck his lower lip and chin out in a pout, fighting to keep still as the electricity tickled up his sides. "Whadya mean those names don't fit? Course they do."
"Oh no you don't!" He exclaimed, grabbing around her waist and pulling her body up to level with his. "Try that and the Luke of your past is going to return." He threatened playfully, dripping water onto her head, making her hair turn a dark lavender from it's dry lighter color.
Vesna smiled modestly, though her eye preoccupied her now. "Why would Jai be short with-" Her question was cut off as she gasped at the sudden touch from Eifa's hand by her eye. She backed up a step before looking over shyly at the tea set, waiting to be carried out. It was a good thing she could not hear others thoughts though. She wouldn't have been happy with Eifa right then.
"It was... during the last fall festival. One of the crazy bats got loose. I somehow caught it and tried to paint it. It bit my cheek and made me sick. By the time dad found the cure... my eye had basically been... destroyed. Eaten away inside by the disease." It'd been a while since she'd had to explain her eye to anyone. Memories of that time still made her cringe.

"Aww, is my little kitty cat sad that he only has cutesy names?" she questioned, giggling softly and smiling a bit. She squeaked at the wetness on her head and buried her face in her hands, as though thinking that she was suddenly going to be soaking wet, despite the fact that Luke had gotten better at his magical ability. "Fine, fine, fine~" she said, peeking up through her fingers toward the older cattaur, a soft smirk coming to her face behind her hands and her eyelids drooping in a way that was almost... lusty? "I won't call you Lukie anymore. Happy... master?" she said, voice dropping a bit before she couldn't help but drop the facade, laughing hysterically. "Sorry, sorry, I just couldn't do it!!"
Eifa blinked at the door, eyebrows knitting together a bit. What on earth was so funny over there? Shaking his head, he smiled sympathetically at the girl, taking a step forward despite her step back and gently taking one of her hands in a comforting gesture, assuming that she didn't want her face to be touched so familiarly. 'I'm very sorry to hear about that,' he commented calmly, looking over the girl's hand and tracing the lines across her palm with mild interest. 'I do wish there was something that I could do...'

Luke rolled his eyes but couldn't help to laugh along. 'Master' did sound rather odd to be called. A deep purr rumbled as he nuzzled into Jaione's neck. "Nicnames are over-rated, Kitten Whiskers." He ran his fingers through her hair, drying it as they went. "There. All better."
Vesna smirked at the door. It was nice hearing them laugh like that. But her hand being taken distracted her. She shook her head. "Dad did everything he could. He even traveled to try to find anyone. You can't rebuild what is lost. Can't bring back the dead."
She tapped his shoulder in thanks and turned to the counter. "Why don't we get this tea out there before it gets cold."

"Kitten Whiskers?" Jai asked, looking up at her mate with a cocked eyebrow, before rolling her eyes and leaning against him once more, swaying her hips to imaginary music. She chuckled softly, and smiled a bit as he dried her hair, watching the ground and flicking her tail a bit. "So, are my sleeping arrangements still as they were?" she asked curiously. Either way, she wouldn't mind; either with her best friend or with her mate, neither of which would have much of a downside other than not being with the other 'taur.
Eifa nodded slowly in understanding, giving a soft sigh. If nothing could fix it, and she was truly convinced of this, then he wasn't going to poke any further. It was obviously a sensitive topic and, though he was known to prod, he didn't really think it would be very nice of him to do so now. He smiled a bit and nodded a few times. 'Of course,' he replied, going to open the door for her to leave, not hesitating to growl directly at Jaione, not letting the sound travel out of her mind, though the girl merely rolled her eyes.
