Latte looked sympathetically over at his mate, his heart grieving at her pain. "It's alright now, Yuri. No need to apologize...you're alright, and that's all that matters." He nuzzled her flank, trying to make her feel better.
"Oh. I didn't think about that..." Keiichi immediately felt horrible for not thinking about the other possible consequences. "What if we try our best to make her feel better? Then we'll have to succeed."

"If you say..." Yuri said quietly to herself, looking away.
Tsukiko thought for a moment, and smiled. "Yeah, that'd have to work." She walked over and nuzzled into her mother.

Latte visibly relaxed as Yuri seemed to calm down a little, and gently smiled at her, hoping to give her hope and encouragement through one tiny action. "I love you, Yuri," he whispered softly into her ear.
Keiichi grinned as his sister walked over before curling up next to his mother. She was drying off now, so there wouldn't be any chance of her getting hypothermia or possibly going into shock.

Yuri looked up at Latte with only her eyes, and seemed to smile warmly with them. "Love you too" She whispered back, before looking down at her children by her side. "I love you all." She leaned over to nuzzle her kits.
Tsukiko had followed after Keiichi and curled up next to him and their mother, and squealed happily as she was nuzzled. "I love you two mama."

"I'm glad that you're better now. Do you think you could make it back home for some lunch?" Latte tilted his head questioningly, hoping that she would understand the hidden meaning in his question and have the strength to get back where she could rest in better conditions. "I'm sure the kits are hungry by now," he teased playfully.
"Love you too, ka-san~" Keiichi snuggled up against his mother, extremely glad that she was feeling better already. "Food?" His ears perked up immediately at the mention of eating.

Yuri stopped the nuzzling to look back over at Latte. She nodded with a soft smile on her face. "Yeah, I'm sure as well." She carefully stood up, staying still for a few moments, before beginning to walk back towards their cave house.
"Food! Food!" Tsukiko chirped playfully as she circled around her mother's and father's feet, following them home.
(is that pretty much the end?)

Latte smiled, suddenly reminded of the time when he and Yuri were kits themselves, finding new adventures every day. "Let's go then!" he said as he headed back through the forest, careful not to lead Yuri through more rocky spots. He couldn't wait to be home and leave the day's surprises behind.
Keiichi's tongue lolled out as he raced to catch up with his sister, eager to get home and dig into the food. It had been a great day, and he was looking forward to sleeping all the excitement off.
Yup, I'd say we're done. ^^
