*The elevator would take them up as promised. The men would walk through a path covered in rays and sensors. Then yet another card key would be given. They would then move to another elevator and it opens upon a lovely board room. The room is all glass windows and rich dark colors. A man with untamable black hair sits with his back to his guests. He is watching a large TV screen, two girls and a young boy are playing in a beautiful garden. The women seems to be an angel with dark black hair rimmed in white, her wings are a cream color, her smile is bright, flowers grow under her tiny feet. The younger girl seems to be her daughter as she is in the woman’s image; her black hair is full with bouncy curls and her laugh rings out like bells. The young boy is a mirror of his sister in coloring, with jet black hair and haunting violet eyes. Their eyes are very different from their mother's happy blues. The screen flickers off, a poster might catch the eye of the new men. It appears to be a model draped in silks, her curly hair spills around her, her violet eyes are half closed, at her feet is the label “Twice Royal”. The chair swivels around, revealing a strong tired and intimidating man with cold violet eyes.* Yes?

Looking up to the young man, the tall figure removed his hat, long wavy obsidian locks framed his visage, and pale blue skin adorned his appearance. His own eyes peculiar, one gold his left and one crimson his right. He appeared to be undaunted by Griffin and his cold bite, and rested a hand on a nearby chair while grasping his cane in the other. There was a pleasant smile on the Count's face as he closed his eyes nd addressed Griffin. "Greetings. My name is... Gankutsuou, the Count of Monte Cristo. I have come to meet with Griffin Night whose reputation is notorious in this region. You are he?" So the lines of conversation were now open. The other gentlemen waited a few feet back from the Count who had just introduced himself, he held a small metal case.

*Griffin smirks with his perfect white teeth.* Well, I thought that would be obvious. Now the real question is what do you want. If you want my support then you’ll have to give me a good pitch. I’m not an easy sell.*Griffin leans back in his black leather chair; he had been more than just around the block in the business world. As he leans back his pair of silver rifles are revealed under his million dollar suit. He's no pansy millionaire.*

Guns were something in this case unnessessary, it wasn't as if either the count or his companion were going to attack Griffin. The guns were just a reminder one could suppose that he could defend himself if needed. "Hmm hmm... indeed." The Count would tip his head slightly in "appriciation" of where Griffin was coming from. "I have recently entered the market in this area, and am familiarizing myself with those whom I may share some competition with, in this case yourself and... I do believe you have a sibling do you not?" There was a momentary pause to let the question sink in before the Count continued. "Your support in entering this city's markets would be most appriciated... and in return--" The Count's companion stepped forward and set the case down next to Gankutsuou, then stepped back to his former position. From there Gankutsuou would open the case and take the contents in hand. Placing the items down on the table, they appeared to be cheques, 5 in all and the amounts written on each one were an astonishing 500 million. This was no bribe though, the Count appeared to have a great deal of money to sink into Twice Royal's economy, a veratible boost of sorts and very attractive. One might wonder how the Count could accumulate such a vast amount of funds, but perhaps that question was better left alone for now. A little help now, nudging into the markets from Griffin, and a huge boost to the economy, the populas in return. Due to the trickle down effect, a good portion of that would come back to Griffin. Maybe then... it was possible to put that money into helping to find Bell where ever she might be; so could Griffin really just turn away? Griffin was no fool, and he could likely smell when something was up. Gankutsuou did seem to be genuine however, so it would be his call; Gankutsuou would wait for Griffin's replys, staring lightly at the man while wearing a grin.

*Griffin hardly glances at the money, in this town he is the money. The last time he had to pay for something was a long time ago, most people would rather he just eat their food just so they could say he had. He smirks softly and his violet eyes sparkle with mischief most like his sister's.* My dear fellow, if it's my support you crave, money is not what you should be concerning yourself with. Your product is all I am interested with, if I am to support it, it must be most magnificent, but by the amount of money you are willing to bribe me with, it only suggests your business cannot sell itself. So again I ask you, make your pitch, and no more flashy bribes or promises. I don't need money, I need products and strong businesses behind me.

A small chuckle would come from the Count; it seemed that Griffin had the wrong idea of why the Count was there. "Hmm, hmm, hmm... It seems I was misunderstood or gave the wrong impression. I am not selling anything. I am buying into the market, investing into this city and its economy. These--" The Count tapped lightly at the cheques on the table, "--are simply the first of what I am hoping to sink into this city." So... the Count was not selling a product. As he had stated, he was trying to get into the markets, buying and selling stocks, not selling products of any kind. Afterall the Count was an Aristocrat, not a salesman. Hopefully by now Griffin would have realized that. Aristocrats always had a lot of money to toss around, and generally that was great for any economy, so it should be the same for Twice Royal. What that place was now, it could easily be twice over, giving everyone an even better quality of living. Not that anyone was complainning.

*Griffin sighs and shifts in his chair.* You ask a great deal with only money to bargain with. My word is law around here and you offer me, something as common as money. Let me tell you something, there will always be more money. *He rubs his temples, this was very disappointing. He didn't need money, his father always had that covered. He needed ideas to save his sister, his company and his sanity. Sighing again in aggravation.* As a business man you must understand, I'm not in this for pure cash. If I was I'd be robbing banks. I sell for the demand and need of the world, currently money is no issue here. You have my support, but remember this, one word from me and all the money in the world won’t save you. *He doesn't smile or offer his hand, he just grunts.*

A slight chuckle would be preceived from the Count's lips, before he spoke again. "Then perhaps, would you be at all interested in accompanying me upon my ship? A small sign of friendship and gratitude on my behalf." A ride on a ship? That was of no use... heh, unless the Count had a "star ship", but what were the chances? It couldn't hurt to ask if it was, even if jokingly. Afterall, it was all for Bell, Griffin had to find her and bring her back. So... it was worth asking, and the Count still appeared to be in unusually high spirits. "If memory serves, Luna is quite pleasant this time of year." Luna? Wasn't that.... another name for the moon?

*Griffin’s left eye twitches. Why did this seem so rehearsed? Was the world toying with him, just to crush his hopes? Crumpling his daily schedule in his palm, he blurts out.* What kind of ship would this be? *He hated sounding rash and like an idiot but the sooner the better for his sister.*
PostPosted: Fri Dec 15, 2006 9:58 pm

The Count would blink briefly at the sudden out burst, then without even taking a breath to speak he would answer the young man. "Why, a spaceship of course. One simply can not travel to the rings of Saturn and back without one. So... are you interested in such a voyage, or are boats more to your tastes?" This was just what Griffin needed, and needed to hear. The Count had a spaceship of all things. What supurb timing for his arrival in Twice Royal. Now all the two needed to discuss was when to go, and it was likely Griffin would want to leave right away, though not completely certain.

I would be very interested. *Griffin shoves some papers off his desk, all his plans and schemes falling to the ground. He picks up his guns and his medallion. The fire has returned to his eyes.* Please understand, I want to leave as soon as possible…. my sister… she’s been kidnapped. She’s in space and all my resources have yet to help me reach her. Your help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

"Ah... Very good then." It seemed that The Count had arrived at a very good time. Griffin appeared to be welcoming of his help, and it also looked as if getting into the economic front of Twice Royal was assured. All in all what little time The Count had spent in the city was... good. "Why of course, we can set out immediately if you please. My carriage is just outside if you would care to join me." The Count would bow slightly when he spoke, moving his left arm and cane across his chest. His eyes would keep contact with Griffin's the whole time. Upon hearing Griffin's reason to hurry The Count would give a short reply. "Ah, so that's it." A moment later The Count's aid would collect up the cheques and place them back into case he had with him. The money could later be deposited into a bank account that The Count could open later. It was then that The Count would turn to look at the door. "Well then, I suppose we should be off?" The offer was already made for Griffin to choose his own transport or travel with The Count. It made sense to go with The Count, seeing as he knew were his ship was, and Griffin did not.

((Durring Time Skip, going to assume Griffin and The Count went out into space, flew around a while, found out Bell was back on Earth, came back. Griffin is no doubt still looking for Bell, and The Count is more than happy to lend a hand to that end. What comes of that perhaps we can continue to RP, once the Kaiori/Dom thing is done.))

The Count's carriage finally entered the city limits and continued on down the streets to its destination. It looked like The Count was going to enlist some of Twice Royal's carpenters, and builders for the renovation plans he had in mind for the Seven Hells Temple. It shouldn't take long to gather enough men and supplies to do that job, hopefully. The Count had the money, so getting what ever he needed wasn't a problem. After that, the next stop was the city's largest bank, to open an account.

*Bell steps out of the limo. She’s quickly assaulted by the press and her brother. He hugs her tightly, resting their foreheads together with a weary smile.* Hey sis. *Griffin replies in his gruff stressed voice, currently ignoring the paparazzi. Bell doesn’t say anything and bursts into tears clinging to her brother. Sighing he moves her into the building, prepared to give her a lecture of a lifetime.*
