User Image Zia entered the building yawning and stretching. She had just flown in from a vacation that she planned a while ago. She stretched one more time hearing her bones crack in a pleasant way, as he shirt rode up on her tummy slightly. Fixing her shirt and tie, she checked her skirt, and fixed the hat on her head. "I suppose I should go find my room... Or food.." she thought outloud to herself and started to roll her bags to her small hotel room that she rented. Guitar case hung loosely around her back.

After getting settled and unpacked Zia looked around on the street from her window. A small cafe caught her eye as her tummy rumbled. Pulling on her high heeled boots she made her way out for some warm tea and some fresh made cookies. Sitting outside in the warm air she sighed and closed her eyes for a breif second before her food and tea was set before her. Smiling she thanked the waiter and started to nibble slightly on her treats. Taking out her phone she debated whether she should text/phone her band mates to see what they were up to. Blinking se looked around and gave a quick text out to her mates "Back from vaca! Sup with all me mates?"

User ImageHenry closed his box carefully and smiled again. This smile was a crooked one, not really sly, but just rather innocent. He hopped to his feet and threw his box into a nearby trash can, then headed back. He sat back down and picked his right shoe up onto the table. It had felt loose when he was walking, so he untied it and began to retie with incredible patience and concentration. He felt Hunter watch him moving and flushed a little, but he tried to shake it off.

User ImageJason had barely made it to his room when he got Zia's text. "Dag!" He laughed. "I can't believe she's here already!" He hit the reply button and sent a reply one-handed. He managed to pull out his laptop and start booting it up with the other hand.

"Hey, Zia! Good to hear! You in the hotel, then? Can't wait to see ya! Dinner at Olive Garden, I'm takin' the Patriots, too. Wanna come? Only met the singer so far. She's cool. Totally hot. You should meet 'em!" He sent the text and set his phone on his lap, waiting for it to buzz with a reply. He pulled up an internet browser and got to searching.

User Image Lost in the abyss of her tea eating the sugar into nothingness, Zia jumped as her phone beeped. Blinking a little to get out of her daze she read the text message and gave out a small little laugh, which got everyone's attention. Only Jason would be so egotistical and up front to say something like that. Grabbing her phone she hit the reply button and stared blankly at the screen for a moment before she started to type.

"Oh and i bet your a lucky boy, who has a date with the hot chick eh? maybe I shouldn't jump in on your egotistical a**?" she smiled, knowing Jason wouldn't take it in a bad way, more of a humorous friendly way. "Besides, i don't even know where that is! ... i'm sure i could find it if you really want me to come?" she blinked, hit the send button and placed her phone in her pocket.

Standing she left the small cafe and decided to walk around to get a better feel for the place. She walked over to a children's playground, that was mostly empty. Her eyes grew wide as she saw the swings were completely empty. "sweet" she thought and raced over to the swings, looking around just to make sure no one had seen her run like a fool to empty swings. Once clear she sat on them carefully and began to rock herself back and forth on her heels, humming a tune she'd once heard on her travels.

User ImageJason got off of the phone, pleased that he was able to secure a reservation. It had taken him almost no time to find what he needed to on-line, and he had his cell flipped open before it could ring twice.

He read the message quickly and smiled. "Geez, Zia. Give me a little credit, wouldja?" He laughed and started punching in his reply.

"Actually, I do! But that's not tonight. Figured we should meet the competition. Felt like feeding 'em. Reservation's at 8. Just be in the lobby and 7:20. It's walkin' distance. Sides, since when are you picky about a free meal?" He laughed and allowed himself to fall backwards onto his bed.

User ImageSitting on the swing Zia was lost in space again. She was usually found in a dazed haze, or rocking out on her guitar. her phone beeped multiple times to Jason's text, but a song was working in her head, and she couldn't stop. As the song came to an end, she got up slowly and started to head back to her room. She just had to go and write down the beat of the song. Her phone gave another beep and she looked at her phone and rolled her eyes.

"He hasn't even been here for a week and he already has a date. My god.. " She said out loud which got some really odd looks from the people she passed by. Giving a little blush she pulled her hat down lower and walked to the hotel, punching words onto her phone.

"You feeding the competition? Seriously.. You have got to have some sort of fever or something. Maybe go lay down.. or.. Do have a drink.... That sounds good right about now actually. I might come by later after a couple drinks. PS this thing formal or casual?" she pushed the send button and pocketed her phone as she came to the hotel, waited on the elevator and went to her room.

User ImageJason rolled his eyes at his phone and sat up again. He crossed his legs and started to reply. "You know I hate it when you drink." But he deleted it. They'd fought about it time and time again, and there was no reason to piss her off now.

He couldn't hate Zia, no matter what she did, but he hated drugs. Drugs inspired the most influencial and brilliant art, and he resented that. It was such a mockery of life, that an something so sickening could create something so beautiful. And so often, alcohol ruined lives. He didn't really believe that Zia would drink herself to death, but he worried for her anyway.

He thought carefully about how to word his response. "If you must." He decided was a good reply. Mildly disapproving, without being naggy or angry. "But don't get drunk. I want to make a good first impression." He hit the send button and tossed the phone aside.

He was really afraid that Zia was trying to pick a fight. Maybe she wasn't, and he could skirt around the topic. Of course, if she was, she wouldn't stop until she got a rise out of him. She could be really stubborn about things like that.

User Image Looking at her phone she couldn't help but sigh a bit and roll her eyes. Jason Jason.. don't worry. When was the last time I even got remotely tipsy or buzzed she thought to herself as she changed into some tight jeans, a black and red corset, some heels and placed a small top hat on her head. She knew she had a much different taste in clothing, but she really didn't care. she believed in expressing one self in clothing.

Making her way down to the floor she skipped a little and called a taxi to take her to a small little pub. Once there she ordered one martini and watched as all the men tried to get women. It was so amusing to her to watch. She checked her watch making sure that she wasn't late for the "meeting".

After being bored, and being hit on by drunk men Zia paid and left. Walking down the street's she hummed a soft lullaby the she heard in her childhood. A couple of the words slipped through her lips. She stopped to look at her watch, and noticed she had some time left. What to do... she asked boredly to no one as she continued her walk with her hands behind her head.

    {{Sorry for the long pause on my end, chaps. Let's see if we can put this back in order.}}
Hayden sent a small glare in Jason's direction as he walked away, but turned away with a smile on her face. She couldn't wait to see how Jason would look walking around with Hunter in a dress. Funny, though, she hadn't meant to say Hunter would be in a dress, but hey, if it all worked out...
She pulled her cell phone, probably quite a few years old by the look of it, out of a holder on her hip, hitting the speed-dial for Hunter. He was number one, then the rest of the band going down the levels of importance: first Rose, then Henry, and the rest of the band after that. She would've texted, but she hated the little buggers. And she left her company SideKick in her room, so she didn't have the full keyboard thingamajig, or the free minutes.

    ---

Hunter gave Henry a very strange look, then shook his head. "I guess if it was that important, you would've told me. If you don't wanna say, that's fine, but I wish you could learn to speak your mind sometimes, bro."
He was about to say more when his phone rang, giving off a funky techno beat that caused him to blush as everyone turned their attention to him. "What, like your cell phones don't ring in public!"
He dug it out of his pocket and pressed talk. He hadn't opted for a flip-phone like Hayden had when they bought them so many years ago.
    "Hello?"

"Hey, Hunter. Are you still in your room?"
"No, Henry and I went to get something to eat. Why?"
"I just met Jason Jones, Walking On Glass's singer? He's takin' us out for dinner tonight, at the Olive Garden. The whole band. I figured we'd milk a free meal out of him before we crush them in the contest. Also, I've got a little bet going with him that you might oppose to, but you'll do anyway."
After some quick explaining on his sister's part, Hunter nearly exploded. "I can't believe you said I'd do that! I will NOT degrade myself for your pleasure! Why do you always DO these things to me?!" He continued to rave for a few more minutes before finishing with, "...and I couldn't get the cake stains outta my hair for days! ........Hayden? Hayden, are you still there?"
From behind him a voice asked, "Are you done?"
Hunter jumped and spun around in the chair to face his older sister.
Hayden waved. "Hi, Henry. Did you get lost on the way here?"

User ImageHenry stared at the table with a hurt look on his face. He knew what he wanted to say, but it was probably just better that he didn't. He was relieved to hear Hunter's phone ring, distracting him from Henry's sad behavior, but that changed quickly.

He winced visibly at Hunter's outburst. Hayden could be really insensitive at times. He couldn't hear what she had said, but Hunter was pissed. He felt horribly awkward. He didn't know what to do, or what to say. So he didn't do anything.

Henry flinched when Hayden spoke. He'd been staring at the table, and hadn't even noticed her walk up. "Y-Yeah, I did..." Why did she have to talk to him? The last thing he wanted to do was end up in the middle of their fight.

    {{If anyone has any time to take a look at this, I desperately need to help. Click it.}}
Hayden nodded. It certainly made sense to her; he wasn't very good with directions or addresses. She leaned on Hunter's shoulder, only to be pushed off. "Alright, look. I'll work something out with him, maybe so you don't have to wear a dress. We'll see how it works out."

"Oh yeah, I believe that. If you're as sure as you think you are, I'll be having dinner with a guy I haven't even met yet, in a dress, and it's all because of some stupid bet. Sometimes, I wish you could just control yourself. Actually, I wish that all the time." Hunter sighed. He needed to calm down. It he got mad at her for too long, it would mess up his performance, and he couldn't risk that, couldn't risk the band losing the contest. "Alright, never mind. Whatever happens, happens."

User ImageHenry tried not to be in the way. He didn't want to make either of them angry, and he wished that they wouldn't fight so much. He looked off to the side, willing himself away from the argument, but he was distracted. He saw one of the hotel staff approaching.

"Miss Hayden Harper?" The young man asked. He looked terribly uncomfortable. "I have a message for you from one of the guests." He stared down at the paper he was holding, obviously unsure as to whether or not he was actually expected to read it. "He gave his name as... ah... Raphael, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle." He blushed, but continued.

"He asks you to be in the lobby by seven twenty. He would also like to know what color dress you'll be wearing, so that he can match." He looked down at the paper again, to make sure he was done, and grimaced when he saw he wasn't. "Ah... And... he also says... He'd love to go out with your brother sometime anyway, if he wants. And he doesn't even have to wear a dress." The man blushed and waited for her reply.

Hayden's mouth dropped open. "How did he-...! Fine, that little..." She turned to the worker and sighed. "Tell... Raphael that... it'll be purple, and that he better be prepared to pay for this." She almost shooed him away, then continued. "And tell him that he better keep his rich butt away from my brother, unless he wants a kick where the sun don't shine. Now go. And don't change the wording."
Hunter looked up at Hayden with a renewed sense of loyalty. "Thanks, sis. So... you're really gonna wear a dress?" He tried to hide the smile, but she saw it anyway.
    "STFU, you loser."

User Image Zia sighed as she came to the hotel again, she was really getting bored of it already and she hadn't been there for even a day. Leaning on the wall outside she began to talk with one of the door openers. He was friendly enough, and they had some witty comments to be thrown about.

Grabbing her phone she decided to Text Jason one last time to see what exactly was going on. Pressing the buttons she typed, Hey, you. Is this a formal dinner, or can i go looking like i always do? she smiled at her own writing, shook her head and pressed the send button. The way she dressed wasn't exactly emo, goth, punk, gangster.. it was more of, being inbetween all the genres at once.
PostPosted: Tue Mar 17, 2009 11:21 pm

User ImageHenry was relieved that they weren't fighting anymore, especially because that meant he didn't have to worry about being dragged into it. Even so, he wasn't smiling. He got to his feet and spoke, clearly but quietly. "I'm going back to the room. I want to wash up before dinner." It was only just after six, but he had a tendency to force himself to be early.

He walked away quickly and pressed the button for the elevator. It opened immediately, and he was thankful he had it to himself. As soon as the door closed, he unclenched his body. He hadn't noticed how straight he'd been standing or how his hands were balled up until he focused on relaxing them. "What's my problem?" He asked himself aloud.

When he got to the room, he noticed that he and Hunter were still the only two to have brought in there stuff. He pulled a new set of clothes from his duffel bag and laid them carefully on the empty bed. He walked briskly into the bathroom and made sure to lock the door behind him. He turned on the shower and gave it a moment to warm up, stripping himself in silence.

"What's my problem?" He repeated, stepping into the water. He had to fiddle with it a little to get it to a good temperature. "Why am I so..." He looked around and sighed. He'd forgotten to bring in his shampoo, he was in such a daze. He could use the hotel's, but he hated washing his hair with strange things. He used his Suave, and brought it with him whenever he stayed anywhere, just in case.

He stepped out of the shower and pulled a towel around his lower body. He allowed himself a moment to fret about dripping water all over the carpet, but shrugged it off and walked out into the room.

User ImageJason thanked the man at the desk over the room's phone and hung up with a smile. "She's so pissed." He laughed in a sing-song voice. He started towards the closet to pick out something to wear, but stopped when his phone buzzed in his pocket.

"Totally casual." He texted back. "This is really our first time meeting, so they should see what we look like in real life." He sent the message, but frowned at space as he did so.

"I shouldn't make her dress up." He spoke. "Even if she suggested it." He stared at his closet with a sad expression. "And I had the perfect outfit, too." He whined, but his mind was made up. He didn't think she'd still be in the food court; it'd been too long. He remembered her room number from when he'd asked the desk earlier.

He picked up a pad of paper and a pen, in case he had to write a note. Then he left his room and walked down the hall to the elevator.

Hunter watched Henry walk away, waving to him slightly, while Hayden had her eyes glued on the path the hotel worker had taken back to the front desk. She just couldn't stop glaring, thinking of what she'd promised to do. Now not only did she have to dress up for a dinner with her competition, but she also had to go on a date with one of the most obnoxious guys she'd ever met. She batted Hunter's shoulder and said, "C'mon, let's go up, too. We should get ready for the group dinner thingy." They headed over to the elevator themselves, following Henry's path. At the right floor, they walked over to the doors and seperated, going into their respective rooms.
Rose wasn't back yet, apparently, because Hayden found she was alone in their hotel room for the moment. That was actually good for what she needed to do, but she would've felt better if her friend could've been there to help. She pulled her second suitcase out of the closet, pulled her one and only dress out of it, and hung it up on one of the hangers in the closet. It wouldn't take too long to get the wrinkles out, so now she just had to worry about accessories.

    ---

Hunter walked in the room and almost jumped, before breathing a sigh of relief. He slipped past Henry, after saying hi, to his bed and his own suitcase. He'd have to find something to wear; maybe make Hayden feel a little better by looking nice as well.
