Could you even imagine me that unhappy? I can't believe they almost nabbed me. I'd probably be a failed project and get dumped." She puckered her lip. "And then there would be no popcorn."
((Yes, and in it there will be a restaurant where all the entrees are named after medications.))

Alex made a mock-horrified face. "Oh god, not the popcorn!" He laughed. "Nah, I don't imagine they see much happiness around that place at all. Unless you count the sick pleasure some of those doctors get out of torturing innocent people."
((In that case, I don't wanna know what the drinks would be named after. XD))

Keeli checked the watch on her wrist. "So how long until Sven picks us up?" It wasn't like Sven to keep anyone hanging on him. "He knows I'll give him s**t every day if he's late for the first time ever."

"I have no idea. He probably should be here soon, but I guess there's a first time for everything if he's gonna be late." Alex shrugged and brushed a hand through his hair, then yawned. "Anyway, he'd better get here pretty damn soon, or he's gonna have to drag my unconscious body out to whatever vehicle he brings."

"What, you wanna sit up all night talking about it in high-pitched voice, tell each other who we like, eat chocolate and play truth-or-dare?" He grinned. "Or am I totally wrong about what girls do at teen sleepovers? Unless...you have a better idea besides going to sleep after almost dying two times in one day." He raised a brow, wondering if she really meant to stay up after everything they'd gone through.

((Oh dear god I'm tempted to have her react how I would, slipping into flawless valleygirl and ranting about Hanna Montana. Sometimes the girls at school make such easy targets. ninja ))
"What, you want to sleep after a huge, exciting day? I won't get down unless you hit me with an elephant tranquilizer. But sure, go ahead and hit the sack. I'll just pop in another movie and hit up the popcorn again."
Keeli got too wired after brushes with products and, even if she was dead exhausted, she could not physically turn her brain off from thinking about the events when she went down to sleep. She had enough experiences to know she wasn't sleeping anytime soon, at least until the wee hours of the morning.

Alex frowned slightly, and nodded, grumbling a little under his breath. "No wonder you're so crazy." He realized she was right though; he was tired, but the whole day kept spinning around in his head, and he also realized that it was possible the assassin might find them and kill them in their sleep.

Thanks, because it isn't hard enough for us to figure out if we've actually insulted a girl or not." He pouted, sticking his tongue out at her like a little boy.

He cringed, body curling against the slightly ticklish, poking-blow. "Ahhhh, stop-oww! Geez, that hurts, I wouldn't wish that on anyone." Alex whined, holding his side gingerly. "Maybe we should try tickle-torture on some of those Asylum guards, bet they'd give us some info THEN."

"Oh God, I do not want to see that." He winced, imagining the harm she could do then. "As for my 'tough guy' image, I'm not so worried about it. You're the only person here, and if you tell anyone I can always either laugh and act like you were drunk and didn't actually know what was happening, or just beat the s**t out of you. Which would be harder, since I don't generally hit women." Alex grinned casually, propping himself up on one elbow.

She nodded cheekily. "And especially hard, since I hit back. You couldn't beat me up if you tried. And how dare you stigmatize me for being Irish? You can't just excuse all my wacky behavior with alcohol." She gave him the cold shoulder, all in good fun, of course, turning her back on him and folding her arms firmly over her chest.
((Whoops. I forgot to mention I'd be in Hawaii for a while. Well, I'm back!))
