I can be fangirly, I don't deny that but I know when to do it and who to do it around. If people saw the way my friend and I act around each other they'd think we were nothing but brainless fangirls but we only act that way around each other. When we're with other people we know it's time not to be complete idiots... or we're just idiots in a different way. xd
There's a time and a place for fangirling, in a public forum is not that place... unless there's a thread specifically for it.

Yeah. Well, it's mainly stupid teenies that have no idea what they are doing and go around blindly posting the first thing that comes to mind, which oddly enough consists of a bunch of typos and about a million exclamation points riddled with ones. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!1!!!!!!!111!!!!!!!

Yeah... and that's why I keep my fanning to my friends mostly. The WORST fandom to be in (that I've come across so far) is the Jhonen Vasquez fandom. I know I sound like an elitest a*****e but ******** I stay as faaaaaaaar away from most Jhonen fans as I can. Occasionally you find some intelligent ones but most of them... well he even admits he's scared of/repulsed by a good number of his fans!

I know what you're talking about. Legions of Hot Topic kids with huge pants and black t-shirts sporting Squee, JTHM, and whatever merch out the butt, quoting jokes that are old and stupid, and generally being wastes of space. domokun

Yup that'd be them. The ones that think they're Johnny or Happy Noodle Boy, or lately they're Invader ____. On the Invader Zim commentary Jhonen laughs about people calling themselves Invaders. People might think he's an a** for it... but personally I love it. xd
And I got my JtHM shirts from the Slave Labor website so that means I'm uh... cooler. ninja

I've got two Jhonen shirts a friend gave me to turn into girlie shirts or purses. I've never been a superfan of his stuff. It's okay, but I've never considered it OMG GENIUS.

I dunno that I'd say genius but I'm definitely a big fan of his, he's my favorite comic book artist. One of these years I will go to San Diego Comic Con because all my favorite comic book artists go there... of course by the time I do they probably won't anymore. emo

I'd have to say my favorite comic book artist would have to be Khota Hirano, creator of Hellsing. The manga is soooo detailed, it's amazing.

I've read the first two Hellsing manga and I like it so far. I was surprised that near the beginning it's more cartoony than the anime, and I know that the anime is largely regarded as crap by manga fans but the whole "hi, I'm gonna kill you and turn you into a vampire mmkay?" thing is so much more dramatic in the anime. It's like heroic there rather than "R U a virgin lolz! VAMPIRE!"

I'll probably like the manga better once I've gotten past the second one. I know my friend hates the anime but loves the manga. If they're that different I'm glad I saw the anime first because I really did like it. That crazy guy... Yan or whatever, God I loved him. I mean he was crazy and a badguy but he was very cool.
