Voltaire smiled at Caroline and nodded, "Thank you." He stroked Annjette's hair a bit thoughtfully before standing again, "Excuse me though. I ought to lay Annjette down in her proper bed and probably settle in Lorelei as well. Thank you all for the warm welcome. I will try my hardest to not be a trouble to any of you." He stood carefully catching Annjette in his arms.

"I assume your Caravan Leader has final word if I stay or go. So if they wish to meet me..You all know where I am." He motioned for Lor to follow him and wandered toward his wagon so as to move it closer to the caravan and what not after he had settled Annjette in her bed.

Lor's smile widened a little more. She was greatful for the promise of rest in a place she could really call home for a long period of time. No more worrying about where she'd be going...

Thinking that things might be starting to look up after all, if only a little bit, she followed Voltaire.

Caroline nods at them, watching them go. "Well, I suppose I'd best put this wee besom to bed as well," she says, ruffling Ro's hair. She stands and brushes half-eaten grass off of her skirt and hoists Rojiza to her hip. She walks barefooted back to Mountain Air, where she tucks the little squirrel-child into her bed. She dims the candle in the wagon and sits on her own bed. Rojiza fusses, so Caroline begins to sing an arhythmic chant conducted in Latin:
"Hodie Christus natus est:
Hodie Salvator apparuit:
Hodie in terra canunt angeli
Laetantur archangeli:
Hodie exsultant justi
Dicentes: Gloria in excelsis Deo.
Alleluia!
Alleluia, alleluia!
Alleluia, alleluia!"

While it's actually a Christmas hymn, it had always worked well for lulling the dear child to sleep.

The moon full in its eerie glow, companion clouds swimming back and forth, teasing the luminescence on all that was touched by her light.

Tier grew faint then angry. "damnit!" She kicked a chest in her wagon. "You hear tales of gypsy curses... but a curse upon a gypsy indeed, " she paced in anger and heightened anticipation. Her new family... the children. She knew she had to get away. Why was that fork nagging at her?!!! She grabbed her hair and fell to her knees in front of it. "What of this hold you have upon me? What am I to do with you?" Her blood boiled beneath her ivory flesh. And with a flash of torn clothing and blood she screamed a curdling howl and ran for the nearest wooded area. The door of her wagon left swinging.

* The cattle awoke in startled surprise. Chester Blinked and looked at Mini*
Did you see that?!
*mini stared at him, chewing on bits of grass she found as soon as she woke.*
Hmph.
Best is she is off in the woods then near these small ones, I reckon.
*then with a nod from mini he went back to grazing then soon to sleep*

( thought it would be fun to get the cattles perspective, heh. >.< )

The good mood that had surrounded the caravan when they set out had somewhat worn off on Weathered Melody's inhabitants. Silver had been lazy the past few days. Oh sure, she still kept up her end of the chores and earned her keep in the caravan, but her spare time had been spent dozing whenever the caravan was stopped, or staring into nothing for hours on end when they were traveling. Even more strange was the fact that Aisrhan seemed to have fallen under the same spell, whatever it was. She hadn't caused any trouble in days, which was very unlike her. They didn't know of their new guests, or that it was Anjette that had returned to the caravan. It was as though they were lost in some sort of fog, dazed and alone, even while being surrounded by their most trusted companions.

One of these dull and melancholy nights, Silver finally decided she was tired of feeling so... gray. She got up, lit a lamp, and sat on the edge of her bed, debating taking a walk in the cool night air. Silver looked over at Aisrhan, who slept quietly in her basket-bed. The woman reminded herself for the hundredth time that the snake-child was growing out of it and needed her own, sturdy place to sleep. There was nothing that could be done about it at the moment, however.

She finally decided that a walk was just what she needed. Her entire soul felt out of balance and she needed to seperate herself from her friends and family to regain her sense of self, purpose, and life. This was something a simple meditation while sitting in her wagon could not cure. She opened her door to judge the position of the moon, to see how much time she had before the sun rose and the caravan began to move again. Hours. Perfect. She quickly slipped on her taveling pants, boots, and put her dagger into its sheath under her shirt sleeve. She grabbed the green pendant Val had given her, almost as an afterthought, and walked out into the night air, locking the wagon behind her. She wandered in thought for what seemed like hours, through the tall grass, stepping over the occasional gopherferret hole. She didn't worry about snakes. It was too cold out, and she did not fear them anyhow. Suddenly, as Silver finally lost sight of the caravan (which had to have been quite a distance, she reasoned, considering the terrain), a long, loud howl reached her ears - and it came from the direction of the camp. Silver's eyes widened. Wolves! The caravan! She immediately began running in the direction from which she had come. A voice screamed in her mind "GET DOWN YOU IDIOT!" Silver fell to the ground, beneath the cover of the tall grass, just in time to see a large wolf-like form run past her. Her heart skipped a beat as part of her wanted to see what it was, but another part warned her against it. She belatedly wondered what had told her to hide, but shoved the thought aside as she peeked over the grass, saw that it was clear, and began running toward the caravan once more. Her so-called "spiritual journey" would have to wait for another night.

Tier, stopped suddenly and sniffed the air. Her beast called her to a hunt but her senses mingled and whispered a hint of friend, fellow band mate. " Silver!" She turned on her heels, but stopped abruptly. She thought to herself a moment then ran after Silver.
Before Silver got to her wagon Tier yelled out to her. "Please... stop... Silver its meh... its Tier!" She ducked into some long dark blades of grass and raised a paw upward and shook it furiously.
Tier knew either this way or that she was in for it. If she let Silver see her like this, she would be frightened or not, but at least she would feel better having told someone. Even if it meant risking the loss of her new family.

Silver was almost to the safety of the caravan and her wagon when she heard a familiar voice call her name. She hadn't known Tierra long, but she was a member of the caravan now, and concern hit Silver instantly. She stopped and turned, trying to focus her eyes in the dark. Walking toward where she had heard the woman's voice, Silver whispered, "Tierra! What are you doing out here? There are wolves near -" Silver shut her mouth as she realized it was a paw waving back at her, not a human hand. "What the... is that you, Tierra?"

She let out a lil' umcomfortable laugh, knowin' full and well what this sight must have been to Silvy.
"I am so Sorry Silver... I am sure this is wild and all..." she spoke gruffly. After a moment of silence she started to stand ...slowly.
When she met Silvers eyes, she knew she must have looked afright. Weeds in her fur and mud on her paws. She danced in place a lil. Her wild peridot eyes shamefully looking around.
" I need a friend..."

Silver's eyes widened. She wasn't afraid, or in shock, but she was sure as hell curious. "It was you that howled? You're a... a were wolf? Well... lycan... or whatever they - I mean you... er... yeah." Silver stopped trying to talk and stepped closer to Tierra, seeing the mud-caked fur. She would try to analyze the situation later. For now, as she had said, Tierra needed a friend, not an inquisitor. Silver guessed the woman would simply be relieved that she hadn't run away screaming. "My, my, you are a mess, my dear." She let out a small laugh. She looked up at the night sky, into the beautiful face of the full moon. "So I guess that part's true then," she said, gesturing with a hand. "Hrmm... so many questions I have for you now... but I doubt this is the time to ask them." Silver looked at the wolf-like creature before her. "Don't worry. Your secret's safe with me." Silver winked and smiled, her green eyes shining in the moonlight. "I'm just glad it was you and not actual wolves prowling around the caravan..."

Edit: Sorry it's kind of... choppy, but I'm about to fall asleep. X3 If you reply again tonight, Tandye, I'll post tomorrow. 3nodding Good night heart

She pawed at Silver playfully. Through gritted teeth she muffled a thank you. Every bone in her aching. She shook her shaggy mane and bounded off. Soon the sun, and soon she would shift back. Born of a werewolf mother and human father, Tier had something of an advantage over other lycans. She left before Silver had to deal with seeing her naked as well as fluffed out.

xd *yush, I am a bit of a silly, weee...*

Silver laughed as Tier ran off. She thought it was fantastic. Never in her wildest imaginings had she thought she would actually meet a werewolf, and now she was friends with one. Well, as much friends as two people could be after only meeting twice. As she made her way back to her wagon she realized that she felt better, despite not being able to sort things out, as she had set out to do. She guessed that what she had really needed was a change of scenery, so to speak - something new. "And if meeting a werewolf isn't something new, I don't know what is," she muttered to hersef with a grin. She walked into Weathered Melody and shut the door behind her, checking on Aisrhan before going back to bed. She only hoped Ais would pick up on her good mood and feel better in the morning as well.

Anezka Vujo

Anezka woke up and sat up, crawling over to the window and sticking her head up under the curtain. Resting her chin on the window sill she began to whistle quietly through her bucked teeth. Her eyes scanned the sky and then locked onto large, hairy creature. She watched in awe as Tierra moved through the trees in her lycan form. Anezka crawled back over to Leshya'e and smacked her shoulder, "Wolfie! Wolfie!" Anezka shocked herself and leshya'e by uttering her first real word. Shy sat up and looked at Anezka, half forgetting what she had just said, over whelmed by the fact that she had said anything at all.
