SirBayer Another explosion rocked the ground and Paul almost fell into the manhole cover but Tanner caught him. Paul controlled himself and looked back to Devin. "They're trying to implode the Charlie Underground Sectors, and if they do a lot of metropolis is gonna drop maybe fifty feet. Be like an earthquake but man-made. We've gotta move. Gurlovich, you're first." Gurlovich grabbed the ladder by its sides and made an emergency slide downwards, careful to keep himself in control. He disappeared into darkness. "Yeah... it'll be tough to see down there but there'll be maintenance lights. If they haven't been knocked out. Well, at least our suited up guys have infrared. Who's next?" Paul demanded, pointing at the ground. ((Oh, Gurlukovich is Olga, she's from 2. She has hairy armpits. xd )) Jack shrugged and Grabbed the ladder by the sides, doing what Gurlovich did. It was beyond dark in the sewer.

"Well, this sucks," Devin commented, following Jack.
((R&S Death, please stop quoting?))
((And that's right, that is where Gurlukovich is from. Aside from the armpits, she was a pretty cool character.))

Once all of them were down, Paul and Raul went, and Ryan and Tanner covered their backs.
Down inside the dark sewer, Gurlovich showed himself prepared. "Got a few extra flashlights," he said in a distinctly American voice. He handed them out, then activated one of his own attached to his UMP and started moving out.
When the lights turned on, they realized something - they were not in a sewer. It looked more like a military base. Huh.
Gurlovich led the way to a doorway, which he proceeded to stack up on, putting a finger to his lips - be quiet. As soon as Paul was caught up, they started communicating silently via hand signals; Paul, it seemed was unsure as to how to make the entrance. This was understandable; they apparently had no idea what was behind this door.

Devin pointed at the pouches and mimed and explosion, then tilted his head. Explosives? he mouthed.

Lito mostly ignored them, making sure that his guns were ready to go and his knife was sliding out of its sheath right.

Raul's response was immediate; he shook his head, covering his ears - too loud. He also reached into the pouch and produced a hand grenade; nothing useful. Paul shrugged, mimed checking corners, then reached for the door and turned the handle, keeping close to the hinges. Immediately it became clear there was a reason for this as about thirty bullet holes appeared in the wall, right around Paul's arm and coming very close to his head. Not a one hit him; one struck Gurlovich in the shoulder because he had leaned in too close. It wasn't bad and it wasn't bleeding too much, they could all see that, but his focus had just been thrown off very very badly. At least it wasn't his shooting shoulder.
Paul finished opening the door; there were three men wielding AK-74s just behind it. One was reloading, the others had their rifles pointed down just a bit. Neither Lito nor Jack nor Devin had time to take a shot; Paul put a single round through two of the men's chests and Raul put one between the third man's eyes. Two fell; one of Paul's victims didn't go down and he very quickly fired again. He then started moving, swinging his hand near his hip - move up.
As they moved up they discovered there were branches. Paul passed through one, checking the left side, when suddenly gunfire ripped across the doorway he was looking - it was coming from behind him. He managed to walk through the hail before he got hit, but there was more gunfire going through; no one could move until someone did something. Raul indicated that Devin should move up and figure out what to do.

((Yeah, not quoteing would be preferable. xd ))
Raul motioned with a thumbs-up - do it, - even though he had already pulled a flashbang from his jacket, apparently just in case. This was some sort of test to him. Paul was watching too.

Jack smiled and pulled out a banger. He pulled the pin and tossed it in. thunk,thunk...boom Jack looked at them not knowing if he should go or not. For once...he didn't know what to do.

Lito breezed past him, bringing his SMG up as he went. He put his back to the wall, just before the opening, then pivoted around and let off a few bursts of bullets. He figured it was OK to kill the men, since the others on his team had already done so. After firing about half a clip total, Lito ducked back, staying behind cover.

Lito had good and well killed them; there were only two, and they were armed with RPKs. Paul indicated they should move up; it seemed he thought time was limited as he glanced at his watch again. Raul nodded in approval to them both as they passed him; it seemed he thought they were doing well so far.
Ahead was a much larger door, one that slid instead of opening like a normal door - it looked like a garage door of some sort, or a blast door. It was closed; Paul approached keypad, while indicating to everyone else to pull out some boxes for cover as well as pointing out that someone out to see to Gurlovich. In the meantime he turned to the keypad, and started tapping buttons.

Jack stacked a line of boxes for defense, most of them metal. He than pulled Gurlovich behind the boxes and checked his shoulder. "Nothing major." He whispered.

Devin followed up next to Lito.
"They heard the flashbang and the gunfire, I'm sure," Devin hissed. "Do we still need to stay quiet?"
