I understand about not adding music to the guild pages but is there any way to free the donated gold in a guild. I would like to use the gold to help my guild members!

Things may have changed now, but initially release of guild gold was another decided issue - it was decided that gold would not be released as people were donating to the guild, not to the captain, and there were fears the captain would abuse it. HOWEVER, it has been promised (again with no due date) that there will be more uses for guild gold made available, and someone may have mentioned somewhere (I forget these days) that they were considering revoking the no-gold-access ruling.

That's good to hear, I have about two or three members who have been hacked and I would like to use the guild gold to assist them to get back on their feet again!

I was under the impression that Gaia could not be hacked/cracked, and that it is password sharing, password guessing, and phishing that were the problems. Oh, and scamming, but scamming has nothing to do with passwords, except that you have to enter a password to complete a trade or MP transaction.

Au contraire, having had my account cracked about a month and a half ago, I can tell you that it can be cracked. :/ In any case: If you read the ToS I believe there's a clause which defines unlawful intrusion on an account as 'hacking' just as a generic term, regardless of method. At least, this is what I remember from when doing my research when my account was cracked. x_x

I find that illogical since unless someone is already in the account there is no way to test the passwords (like a generator program) long enough to succeed unless you have a crap a** password, which still has a lot of variables. If Gaia itself was cracked - the servers cracked into and passwords fond and decrypted - then we are all screwed and there will just be a roll back when they fix it.

I would absolutely love to have an additional update to the join request queue page. Just to add a user avatar preview next to their name not just a headshot the full avatar itself, this would be great so we don't have to check all member profiles.
This feature would be great for guilds and clans which are either themed or have a higher membership criteria.

'Higher criteria' includes an avatar? I thought 'higher criteria' required at least a little over literacy, with is text and wouldn't kill a dial-up user.

I'd like to see the ability to search for specific user's posts in a guild. Useful in the larger guilds out there.

Dunno if this has been suggested (this is a lot of reading ^^; ), but I'd like to see an ability to subscribe to threads in a guild. it might be handy for really active guilds that might have a tendency to have still active threads that get lost.

I forgot about that one! I guess it would go in hand with finding posts by a user. I just use bookmarks in such a way that it is similar, but instead of seeing the last post date I used one folder for each set and 'open all in tabs' with a single click. Subscribed would be better since some threads get necro'd even after 1-2 weeks.

I've read over some of this (as was stated, it's a lot of reading), and I didn't see this brought up: I think that the images next to the sub-forums should show which ones have new posts in them, like how individual threads work. That way you can simply refresh one page to see if anyone has posted anything, instead of opening up several pages to do the same thing. Of course, this should be an optional feature that can be turned on/off by captains/vice-captains/crew, since the larger guilds would probably get several posts in different threads, etc.

It would be nice if those icons worked everywhere on Gaia.
In the my subscriptions something you have seen the next day will be unread/new. In guild threads only posts since you got online. (the best system on gaia but really limited. I just use last post date.) Then, as you said, the subforums don't show at all. However, for large (and some medium) guilds the subforums would be almost permanently orange, but the icons would be helpful to some guilds.

Denavai's Guild/Clan Suggestion's~
I'll first speak that I do not enjoy the fact that as of now Guilds are far "Superior" to Clans. The fact you can click "Guilds" & it lists latest discussion while the topic icons update much faster is fairly irritating when trying to keep an active clan. I feel clans too should have this feature.
I feel that clans should too be purchased as Guilds are. That their be an Affiliate status for members who're not officially of the clan, and that they may view/post on a private clan page and be able to track forum posts there within. It would also be beneficial to the clan if they could charge a separate join charge to players wishing to use this option.
The following is a list of Feature's I'd like to see added: Clan/Guild Pulse showing latest topics. Clan Latest Post page. Faster update's on post icons. Clan Upgrade or Purchase requirement (Discussed above) My Gaia Feed Settings for Clan/Guild Posting Subscribe option to Clan/Guild Threads Customizable Clan/Guild Rank system with negotiable Moderator settings.
