Hannah Jade I don't do drugs now, and doubt I ever will. Its just not something I want to get into, ya know? I'm happy without having to sniff a substance hehe. Thats good. 3nodding *huggles his fave substance free HJ*

Mistress Volume The substances today are much stronger than the ones then. If they were weaker, I would say most definately. Today you become too unaware when stoned to focus on spreading the love and it has all kinds of nasty effects on you. Hey, it's not my place to say. Do what you feel is right. But either way... Happy 4/20. biggrin Be safe, my brothers and sisters. I don't think so. Most things these days have so much crap mixed in with it and you never know what your really putting in your mouth or smoking. 3nodding

grapeseed Do what you want to do. Live your life however you want. I hope you know that that statment is flawed, if you can't just live your life the way you want, people get hurt that way, you may get into bad situations, people around you may be hurt by your actions, and then ther's the "if eveybody did it" clause, if everybody just did whatever they wanted the world would go to s**t and people wouldn't help each other. kinda like it is now really. hey, maybe that's the problem with it world. people do just do whatever they want. think about it, really. you have to think about what you're doing, and sacrifice your own intrests for the comon good or we won't get anywhere.

Personally, I don't do drugs but I know people that do drugs and while I think that things like crack and cocaine are bad for you, pot isn't as bad as long as its in moderation. Yes, I think its stupid to walk around stoned 24/7 cause you'd never be able to get anything done. Also, if you're about to tae part in something serious, I do think drugs would make people less apt to listen to what you're saying. Being a hippie is about doing what you want, right? so peace, love, and drugs if you wanna, just be safe (and remember that the government frowns on things like that so be careful, too).

I'm pretty much straghtedge, even though I enjoy hippie music, and share hippie values.
I think it's ridiculous that people think you need to be high to enjoy certain music or activities.
I can see how weed can enhance the experience, but if it gets to a point that you need to be high to enjoy something, then you have a problem.

I personally see nothing wrong with pot. I mean, I don't smoke pot that often, but if people want to, then let them. It's not all that dangerous, if you use it responsibly. As for your reputation... The way that I see it, if they don't want to be friends with me because I smoke pot, then I probably wouldn't want to be friends with them either.
