I still wonder if reading the various scrolls on the scroll racks does anything. I got a headache searching all of the second floor, and most of the first and third to try to find ones with my statue symbol and door color on them, and I only found ONE of the 5 possible scroll sizes.

There's new stuff to do in the scroll repository. Right near the entrance are some colored scroll racks which are a card catalogue, and apparently it's different for everybody. They have something to do with room names, found here:

You're supposed to see symbols next to each name too, although I read that it doesn't always show up in IE, but there's a workaround for that, or you can view using mozilla, as I did, and then screenshot it for later (or write it down somewhere.)
You can also access the secret room in the basement from the secret stairs in the lower right corner of the 5th floor, and if you have your useless crystal with you, there will be an hour sometime (not sure if the hour is different for everybody, or has something to do with the 3-color combination on your useless crystal (seen if you open the item in a new item window)) but sunlight shone in my room at 11am NST for an hour, and I could click to the highest tower to get my crystal to refract colors onto the wall (which I also screenshot.)
Nobody knows what to do with this info yet though.

ok...i found the hidden room..placed my crystal and got my colors...matched them to my tablet and looked in the card catalog for what they were....now what do i do...i mean..i dont understand the directions on Lister's page...i went to where the first one is for me...but how do i know which scroll to read? do i read all the scrolls with the symbol on them....or do i just read 1 with the symbol....i am so lost gonk

You have to go in order of the colors on the piece of crystal when it is not in the temple thingy. Just from your inventory click the crystal and see what order the three dots on top are...

Is anyone working on the second crystal colors/scrolls? I'm pretty confused from the petpage I've been reading. I still have yet to FIND a trap door with spikes, but when I do, I'm probably going to need help understanding in what order (and what room?) the THREE scrolls per orange, purple, or green are, and whether the red, yellow, and blue ones we drop are not read at all, or are.
EDIT: nevermind, I think I get it! You just have to start following the directions and it kind of makes sense once you start doing it. I'm a little confused about what the scroll order is for each color, but I'm thinking the red, blue, and yellow are just in the order that your second set of card catalogue appears when you look at them, and the rooms are according to the cards themselves, and since you're always reading a red, blue, or yellow as your first two of the 3 for each symbol, reading the second one will tell you in which room to find your orange, purple, or green scroll. I'm going to try it and see if it works!

Actually, where do you get these crystals? Ive only gotten as far as the statue, and then couldn't do anything in the repository except walk around and read the scrolls.

You go up to the second floor and talk to the chef. He will tell you what to do from there. It only takes about 15-30 minutes for that part.
I just don't like this part. I haven't even attempted to place my first crystal. It's just not fun anymore and I don't have 2 hours a day to try and get this done.

After about 5 days, I finally got the colors for my first crystal, but I've lost all interest in the plot and haven't really tried to do anything else. I just don't really have the patience for it I don't think... lol, that's why I never finished either of the Neoquests domokun
