I need one. neutral You cant make waffles without a waffle iron. Though you could always, ya know, buy them. They don't taste quite as good. MegaTherion777 i wonder if belgian waffles would taste better in belgium...? Yes, they would. Everything that originates in some country tastes best if eaten in that country.

Everything that originates in some country tastes best if eaten in that country. well i wasnt sure if they originated in belgium or not. french toast originated in germany (we changed the name from german toast to french toast in WWI, since the french were our allies and the germans our enemies). i believe french fries actually originated elsewhere, as well (though i could be wrong about that).

They are extremely sweet. My mom enjoyed hers but I didn't want one. She forced me to take a bite insisting that "I HAD to have a belgium waffle in Belgium." They are laced in a sugar coating, which is not my preference. I prefer to lightly add a little sugar on mine manually.

There are other foods that I like better from other countries. We don't know s**t about baking most things, the food in my motherland is mostly vegetables like cabbage and stuff, or fish. Like borscht, or shuba. We aren't good with sweet things. But I do love Russain pierogi, especially the potato ones. Mmmmm... And to Kacisko, what does kielbasa literally translate to? Because kalbasa in Russian just refers to deli meat in general...
