Adam James Kiles is feeling [Content]

Adam stood there for what seemed like an eon while the Chairman deliberated. It seemed as if he wasn’t going consider his proposal. As he stood there Kiyarah burst in with her arm around Hugo who seemed fairly faint. Humph, weak. Guess he can’t handle the thirst. Adam smiled very lightly as to not hint about his distaste for Hugo. "Dad, Hugo needs tablets," Kiyarah said with some distress in her voice. When she spoke it caught Adam off guard. It wasn’t what she said or how she said it, it was how her voice made him feel. He was still a bit stunned when she spoke again "Here. Take these," she said as she handed him some more tablets. It seemed like Adam’s dead heart beat just once more time. He wasn’t sure what this feeling was, he was over a hundred years old and all of this was new to him. He shot a glance at her and realized for the first time how amazing she looked. At that moment the Chairman interrupted his train of thought "I'll drop it down to five days, Mister Kiles. But you must tell Star to refrain from her behavior from now on. Understood? And I will still inform your father." and made eye contact with the Chairman. ”Yes, Sir, I understand and thank you for being lenient with my sister.” he said as he turned to leave the room.

He was about to leave when he turned to Kiyarah ”Kiyarah, would you mind if I had a word with you in the hall?” He held the door open for her to follow, and her grace again threw him off guard. When they were alone in the hallway Adam quietly began to speak. Kiyarah, I want to apologize for how I acted earlier. I was out of character and inexcusable. So to make up for my actions I would like to know if you would do me the honor of going to the Halloween Ball. I know we will both be chaperones but we will still be able to dance.” He kept his eyes glued to hers, and wondered if anyone had asked her yet. He didn’t know how she was going to respond but he hoped she would say yes. What am I thinking of course she is going to say no. You showed her just the monster you are. The expression on her face was unreadable and it started to make him antsy. It had been no longer than half a second since he asked but it was a long time for him.

Kiyarah Antoinette Briarwood is feeling just a little : { speechless }

Hugo had been her top priority at that moment, even though he already had blood tablets. But when Adam spoke to her, asking if he could have a word with her outside, Kiyarah still jumped as if surprised that he was here. After taking one look at Hugo to see if he was alright, and then to her father who was looking from Adam to her and back again with great interest, Kiyarah let out a sigh and nodded. She wondered what he wanted to say to her. The first thing that came into her mind was that he was going to yell at her for making him feel inferior to her. This made her feel nervous. She didn't think her heart would take his anger. It already couldn't. The image of his eyes when he looked at her earlier out near the steps of Twilight Dorm haunted her, causing her beating heart to pain her. When he opened the door for her, she cautiously walked passed him, making sure not to make contact with him. Only all those above would know what would happen if they made physical contact. When finally they were outside, Kiyarah leaned on the wall behind her and waited for Adam to speak. In the seconds she waited, Kiyarah could feel her heart pounding rapidly in her chest. He's so handsome. How can I have said I had only a small crush on him? Oh right, I don't want anyone else to-- Adam interrupted her thoughts with his velvety voice.

With every word Adam said, Kiyarah could have sworn she was swooning. Because her body was for sure feeling like they were melting away into liquid. He was beautiful. Sure all vampires were just as beautiful, but no could ever compete against Adam. He was...radiant. Looking deep into Adam's eyes, Kiyarah could see the grief in her own eyes at the memories that came back to her at that one word. But she immediately covered this, substitiuting it with one that would be unreadable. With a look towards Adam again, she could tell it was working. "...the honor of going to the Halloween Ball." This caught Kiyarah's attention instantly. Having not realized that she had been staring at the ground the whole time he spoke, Kiyarah now lifted her head up to look at him with wide eyes. Is this foreal? Am I dreaming all this? Is he really doing what I think he just did? Did he just "ask me to the ball?" Kiyarah's eyes widened some more when she worded out her thoughts. Slapping her hand over her mouth, the hybrid turned her head down to the ground again, her cheeks burning a very bright red. Seconds passed, and still Kiyarah remained silent. She still had to give Adam an answer. But his eyes, his beautiful eyes were causing words to fly out through her ears. Her thoughts clouded into one so that she could not think at all. Gah what to tell him! Of course, say yes! My god he's so gorgeous! He just asked me to the ball? Anyone that could read minds could understand that Kiyarah's slow mind was kicking in again. She was having a hard time processing what had just happened seconds ago.

Finally a minute passed, and the hybrid dropped her hand from her mouth and tilted her head up to look him straight in the eyes. Her shocking blue ones to his dark almost mysterious brown ones. She could tell that he had been looking at her the whole time she thought about it. Now was the time to tell her answer. "The ball? You mean the one my father announced last week?" she asked. Then a bolt of stupidity hit her upside the head. Of course he meant that one stupid! Ugh! Kiyarah tilted her head down again, shutting her eyes tight as she cursed to herself. Seconds later, she lifted her head up again and smiled. "Well, we're going to be very busy that night. And I'm sure that there will be a lot of girls from the Day Class that will kill to dance with you. They will probably hate me forever if I accepted..." Kiyarah knew she was ranting. But she just wanted to point out some of the things that could happen if she said yes. After taking a deep breath, Kiyarah looked him straight in the eyes and smiled brightly. "I'd love to," she finally responded.

In the pit of her stomach, the hybrid female could feel a celebration erupting. It was her dream that one day Adam would ask her out, especially to this upcoming ball. There were a few guys that had asked her, but she had turned them all down in the hopes that Adam would ask. Turns out all the disappointing faces she saw after every rejection paid off in the end. A moment after her response, Kiyarah cleared her throat and walked over to the door to her father's office. "Um, I need to check on Hugo. See if he's okay now," she muttered, suddenly feeling a little shy. Before she opened the door, Kiyarah added, "Oh and, don't worry about earlier. You had every right to act the way to you. I shouldn't have acted the way I did, since you're one with more authority than I do. Also, I'll try to get my father into letting Star go for Halloween night so she can go to the ball. I'm really sorry to ratting her out to my father." She then opened the door, bringing her foot over the threshold. "Oh, and, tell Star I want my iPod back," she added lastly before sending him another bright smile and closing the door behind her.

Now back inside the office, Kiyarah turned to look at her father, who was grinning from cheek to cheek. "What?" she asked. The Chairman did a fake sniff and a acted like he was wiping a tear from under his eye. "My little Kiyah is growing up!" he "choked" up. Kiyarah rolled her eyes and went back to Hugo. She sat on a chair beside him, wrapping an arm around his shoulders comfortingly. "I hope you're going to be okay. We have to go back to class soon," she told him. In her mind, all she could think about were the words that Adam told her earlier. He had actually asked her to the ball. All the guilt and grief in her body washed away and all that was left was happiness. When she looked up at her father, she could have sworn she had heard him mutter something about being so happy that Adam asked her. Oh great. He was eavesdropping.

_________________________It's always about mind over matter.

Keith Zachary Reynolds 's current mood : { tired }

In Keith's opinion, today's topic was a bad choice to study. All he could ever think about while in class was how stupid the writer was for even thinking about writing such crappy work. Letting out an exasperated sigh, Keith dropped his head onto the table, closing his eyes for a brief second before opening them and sitting up on his chair again. The teacher was now writing down the homework assignment, dragging on the explanation for the format even though the class already knew what to do. Keith suppressed a groan from escaping out of his mouth. Yet another homework assignment to finish he thought to himself as he slipped out his planner and wrote out the homework assignment under today's date. He would bet his life that by the end of the day, the whole section was going to be filled with homework assignment after homework assignment. Another all nighter I guess. he thought, giving himself a mental note of all the things he would have to do before tomorrow. Not only was he dealing with homework assignments that seemed to take up his sleeping hours, but also, he had to deal with his duties as Head of Sun Dorms as well as his duties as Student Body President of the Day Class. So any person would see how stressed out and tired Keith Reynolds was.

Once the lesson was finished for today, as always, Keith and the rest of the class started to pack up their things. As he organized his materials, Keith could feel pairs of eyes burn into his back. And he could have sworn he heard some people talk about him and his sudden "hotness" after all these years. He heard some girl to the right of him say something about him always having been hot, just that he was always wearing those glasses. I wish I could find those glasses now. he thought, sitting up and waiting for the bell to ring for second period. The muttering was getting louder until suddenly, the teacher called for silence. Of course he would, the old man was too sensitive to noise. "Mister Reynolds." Keith looked up towards his teacher, watching the man wiggle his index finger as a gesture for him to come forward. Suddenly feeling very nervous, Keith tilted his head down and stood up from his desk. He headed to the teacher's desk, his footsteps light and silent. When he was opposite the old man, Keith said, "Yes, sir?"

The teacher printed out a piece of paper and handed it over to Keith. The nervous Class President took the paper into his hands and looked down at the information. It was from the Chairman. The orders written on this paper were that he was to go to the new student, Lyrine's, class and be her guide for the whole day inbetween classes. "Answer all questions she has. Be friendly. And make sure she feels welcome. I'm counting on you, Mister Reynolds. Give Oak Point a good reputation." Jeez all this pressure on my shoulders. The male let out a sigh, thanking his teacher before going back to his seat, rereading the note all over again. This was his pass to do what he had to do. Once he gathered his things together, Keith stood up again and headed to the door. "LATER HOTTIE!" cried out a few girls, followed by a long set of giggles. Keith blushed pink, quickly stepping out of his class. "This is just not my day," he muttered, heading to the first period class printed on the paper. Algebra? I was taking Pre-Calc at this girl's age. Keith let out a sigh, climbing up a set of steps towards the Algebra classrooms.

There was a buzz of muttering when Keith stood outside the classroom of Lyrine's first period. Knocking twice, Keith waited for the approval to step inside. When it was given, the class president opened the door and stepped inside. The classroom silenced instantly. And the silence was nerve racking, as well as the stares he was receiving. Clearing his throat, Keith turned to the teacher. "Is there a Lyrine Colt present?" he asked with the best of his confidence. The teacher nodded, pointing towards the blonde girl he had bumped into earlier. "Thank you," he said then headed towards the girl. He could feel eyes following his movements. Come on. I'm not that good looking. he thought and then turned to look at the girl opposite him. "Hello, I'm Keith Reynolds. On behalf of the Day Class, as well as the Chairmam, I would like to welcome you to Oak Point High School. For today, I will guide to around the school inbetween classes. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. I'm usually found in the library during breaks," he stated, trying his best to not let his nerves get the best of him. It was working, sort of. At least he wasn't stuttering like before.

As soon as he finished his greeting, the bell for second rang through the halls. Commotion started up again as students gathered their things and rushed out the door. Keith remained where he was, waiting for Lyrine. Keith's brown eyes looked down at the schedule in front of him. "I see you have English second period. If you would let me accompany to your next class. I'm sure we can use this time to get you acquainted with the school grounds. It's a very large campus, with a lot of rules not mentioned in the school manual," he said, plastering a small, professional smile on his face. He had been working on this smile all summer. He had asked his father to help him out. All year this year, he was working on his image. "Here, allow me to help you with your bag," he said, leaning forward to pick up the girl's bag. He then took a few steps towards the door, but then stopped so that he could wait for Lyrine. He would have her walk in front of him so that he would be able to let her take in the classes they were passing, as well as guide her to the right direction.

Adam James Kiles is feeling [Pleased]

He was pleased that she was obviously flustered by his proposal. He smiled as she sputtered in front of him, seemingly blindsided. It seemed like she talked for an eternity before she answered the question "I'd love to," she finally got out. Adam stood there for a second very please she has said yes, and even happier that she wasn’t mad at him. They stood there in silence a moment and it was just long enough for him to really look at her, for what seemed like the first time. For a very long time she was nothing more than the Chairman’s daughter. He noticed her pale skin had a subtly pink and red tone to it, and that her eye’s were the most magnificent shade of blue, like looking strait up into a cloudless sky. Her hair fell over her shoulders in amazing brunet waves, and her face was child like but almost beautifully aged. All of these subtle nuances in her posture, and how reading her emotions was as easy as reading a book. Amazing… was all he was able to think. What she finally spoke again her voice was heavenly "Um, I need to check on Hugo. See if he's okay now," Adam almost cringed at his name, but he didn’t let it muster the beauty of the song. Adam just nodded and bowed as she entered her fathers office.

Adam walked down the halls back to the Twilight dorm in almost a haze. He had a smile spread across his face and a slight bounce in his step. He opened the door to the Twilight dorm and opened his sisters door. She was on her bed trying to sleep again. ”I got your sentence reduced. You now are only confined to your room for five days. But unfortunately you will be getting a call from dad, and it probably won’t be too pleasant. If you have any issues with him just have him call me and I’ll straiten it out.” He stood there smiling for a moment then broke the news, because she was going to hear about it soon anyway. ”I am taking Kiyarah to the Halloween Ball.” he took her reaction with grace then interjected. ”Kiyarah wants her iPod back... Who are you going to take?” he was genuinely interested. After all he was very protective of his sister and if she was going with someone he didn’t approve of he would try to do something about it. It wouldn’t work but he always tried to get her to change her mind. He stood there silently waiting for her to answer.

"I am what I am."

Pearll is feeling just a little annoyed.

Finally. Pearll thought when she finally found someone. Glad to have someone to take charge of Hugo, she leaned against a wall, waiting for Kiyarah to do something. She was in pain and she was a bit pissed off. "Do you know if he took his tablet, Pearll?" Pearll shrugged, before realising that it wasn't the best thing to do. A crack was heard and Pearll grimaced. "I don't know. He was like that when he entered Algebra. And, umm... someone there was bleeding. It was a minute cut, I wasn't even aware of it until he came in." Pearll replied, gesturing at Hugo. She flexed her shoulder a little and almost cried out in pain. Wincing a little, she slumped against the wall. "Look after Farah... going to the Chairman..." Pearll could only hear a little through her red haze of pain. Farah? What is she doing here? She nodded and looked as Kiyarah struggled with Hugo. She wanted to help her, but with her shoulder, she'd most probably be more of a nuisance. God. I've still got to get back to Lyrine. I wonder what's she having later?

"Farah? Are you okay? What the hell are you doing here with Kiyarah? Did she do anything to you?" Pearll knew that Kiyarah wouldn't do anything to her friend, but somehow, she knew that something had happened here. She sat down at the step beside Farah, raking her inert body for some kind of injury. "Are you okay? And what are you doing here?!" Angry at not getting a response, she started shaking Farah. "Fine, if you're not going to give me an answer, we could stay here. I'm sure you'll be very happy in detention." Pearll frowned at her. "I was planning on skipping Geography anyway, so I don't care. But can we at least head down to somewhere more comfortable? Like maybe the library?" She flexed her shoulder carefully and was happy that it was fully healed or almost fully healed.

Smiling playfully, Pearll pulled Farah up and towed her towards the library. Entering the library, she found a new set of travel books being put up on display. Yes! Finally. Should I go to Africa or Asia for the holidays? Maybe Asia... there's the culture thingy that's really interesting. Leaving Farah standing at the doorway of the library like an idiot, she took the books and a map and settled down at one of the tables. Closely examining the map, she tried to figure out the shortest route to Asia. When she actually remembered Farah, she shouted, "Farah, what are you doing at the entrance? You wanna join me? Traveling is very interesting, you know." Pearll was smiling happily, she had her good mood back once again.

Hugo snarled angrily. He wanted blood so much. Get away before I hurt you! He thought madly. Until, he saw the face of his friend. Oh, god. That's Pearll you're talking about. You're going to hurt her? Hugo, you're ridiculous. He heard the crack of bones breaking and he grimaced. He knew it wouldn't be his bones-- it was Pearll's. His thirst is pretty bad, but he couldn't attack Pearll, he just couldn't. Pearll was his friend, for pete's sake. He heard Pearll talking to the teacher before being dragged out of the classroom. "Damn you, Hugo. You dislocated my shoulder." He wanted to apologise, but he is sure that once he opened his mouth to talk, he'll start going blood-crazy and attack Pearll.

Stop. Thinking. About. Anything. Blank your mind. Hugo thought as he closed his eyes and tried to think about homework. He trusted that Pearll wouldn't lead him into a wall. And then he heard something familiar. Kiyarah! He opened his mouth to say something and he breathed in the scent of Pearll. It was primal, something that comes from animals, but it's still blood. His thirst was suddenly the only thing that he cared about. He was about to attack Pearll when Kiyarah was suddenly the one who was supporting him. "Hugo. Did you take your tablet? Come on fight this. You've done it before. Come on, Hugo. Fight it," He heard Kiyarah say. "Kiyah, I need--" He managed to gasp out as Kiyarah brought him to the chairman. Kiyarah passed him a packet of blood tablets. Grateful, he quickly took two out and swallowed it. I feel good. Its pretty surprising how a little blood would make him feel so refreshed.

"...I would like to know if you would do me the honor of going to the Halloween Ball." Hah, Adam is asking my dear little sister to the ball. It must be her dream come true. Hugo thought as he grinned at the Chairman. Soon, Kiyarah entered the office. "I hope you're going to be okay. We have to go back to class soon," Hugo nodded a little. "I'm okay. But I guess I should bring a packet of blood tablets around. Oh and, I think I owe Pearll an apology. I'll see if I can find her later." Hugo replied. "If you're going to the ball with Adam, who can I go with? You're not leaving me without a partner, are you, Kiyah?" He teased, as he pouted a little and then laughed heartily.

{mood=anxious}♥ Lyrine.{/mood}

User Image Lyrine was starting to feel tired as she finally managed to finish the math assignment. She yawned and shook her head to clear it up. ‘C’mon, you had a good nights sleep.’ She told herself. The clock told her there was only about five minutes left, which was a relief. She let her head fall to the desk. Where was Pearll? Not coming back here, I guess. The students in class were starting to get antsy and began to talk quietly. She heard the words ‘Halloween Ball’ somewhere in there. That’s right! There was going to be a ball! Lyrine raised her head and listened more carefully to what they were saying. It was on the 30th. In her head, Lyrine began to plan what she would wear. And then she sighed; she didn’t even have a date. Maybe she could go with Pearll and her friends. Lyrine’s mind began to wander again, and she thought of the class president. He was so cute; but he was also supposed to be super smart, too. So that meant she probably didn’t have any classes with him. ‘Maybe I could get my hands on his schedule and manage to ‘bump’ into him again somewhere.’ Just then, there was a sharp knock. The kids quieted down, and Lyrine looked towards the wooden door. The teacher said, “Enter” and the door opened.

Lyrine couldn’t believe it. There he was, Keith himself. Walking through the door with this practiced smile on his face. The kids were all staring at him ask the teacher about Lyrine Colt. ‘Lyrine Colt? Wait, me!?’ She saw some of the girls throw jealous looks at her as Keith headed in her direction. He introduced himself and Lyrine’s heart skipped a few beats at her incredible good luck. He was her guide!! Sure, he was a little formal, but Lyrine could work with that. She could’ve done a dance if she hadn’t been so surprised. The bell bought her back to Earth. ”Uhm. Yeah, I do have English.” Duh, that was stupid. He had just seen her schedule. Keith picked up her bag, and Lyrine gathered her notebook in her hands. He was already by the door, waiting. She walked to him and smiled. In her head, she berated herself. ’Say something smart, you idiot. Don’t just stand there with a dumb look on your face.’

They began to walk. Taking a deep breath, Lyrine finally said, ”Thanks for holding my bag. So whats up? You’re here on scholarship, right? I read about you when I first got here. And, um, you’re not wearing your glasses. You should wear your contacts more often- that is what you’re doing now right? You have really cute eyes, did you know that?” She winced when she thought about how that would sound to him. Like she was babbling. Which actually Lyrine was doing. After a fractional moment, Lyrine thought about something coherent she could ask him that would make sense, too: “Are you going to the Halloween Ball?”

[ Announcement ]

[singsong]Hello!!!!![/singsong]
Morning announcements!!!

Hahaha sorry. I'm pretty hyper right now. And it's like almost 9AM.
Looks like I'm going to be knocked out by the afternoon.

Anyway, -rubs face to concentrate-
Yeah, so so far I've gotten two responses--no THREE!--three responses about the Halloween ball idea. And counting the person that gave me the idea, Toju, that'll be four. So I'm guessing that we're going to have the event.
YAY!!! -throws streamers-
I still want your thoughts though people!
xD

Told you I'm hyper.

On another note, I got this really cool idea from FearlessDare.
Who all here has read Eclipse? -waits for a show of hands-
Okay and who remembers the baseball part in Twilight? -agains waits-
Well think of this idea. With the proper weather that will not reveal the vampires out, the werewolves and the vampires can have like a small atheltic competition to show who's better. This will be a chance to have the werewolves hate on each other in a friendly game of baseball, football, basketball, volleyball (as long as they don't kill the ball with their spikes), tennis, soccer (again, as long as they don't kill the ball), and many many other sports.
If ya'll (hahaha I typed ya'll) like the idea, please pm me as soon as possible so I can think of a proper time setting date for the event.

Kay kay i'mma go tone it down now before I start posting.
xD

Note ~ Please don't respond to this below. If you have any questions, feel free to pm me.

You know you want me......
It's just too bad I'm beyond your reach

Star Resme Carter is feeling:.: biggrin epressed::.
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Star didn't smile at the news of reduced punishment. The Halloween Ball didn't mean much to her, and House Arrest was basically nothing, since she was supposed to stay indoors anyway. Congrats, Kiyah. Good luck dealing with his fangirls. Sighing for the one-hundreth millionth time, She burried her head in her pillow. Handing Adam Kiyarah's Ipod, she didn't lift her head. The Halloween Ball... do I even want to go? The vampire was experiencing a mix of emotions, and couldn't decide what she wanted. Normally she would turn to Adam, but he was obviously romancing about Kiyarah.

"No one," Star decided. "I am taking no one. There's no one who i think is worth it, and besides. I dont dance." Shoving her face back into her pillow, she didn't look to see Adam's reaction. She guessed it would be half 'i-dont-care' and half 'what-the-hell'. Not even word about Mason's call stirred her, and it was obvious she was feeling sulky, and pouting.

Kiyarah Antoinette Briarwood is feeling just a little : { relieved }

User Image
Kiyarah breathed out a sigh of relief to see that her best friend was doing just fine now. Everytime he acted the way he did, whenever he could not control his hunger, Kiyarah felt that maybe her heart would not handle the things he was going through. She knew how he felt, fighting the thirst. It brought a feeling of weakness. Hugging Hugo around his shoulders, she closed her eyes and let out a relieved sigh. "I was so scared that you were going to do something horrible if I didn't get you the tablets soon," she whispered, finally letting him go. There were times when she had the impression that maybe her closeness was getting on his nerves, or maybe they were making him feel awkward. Running a hand through her hair, she waited a while longer before deciding to speak again. It was too bad Hugo spoke first, and what he said made her blush red. There are times when I wish I hadn't told him anything about how I felt for Adam. Letting out a sigh, Kiyarah looked up at Hugo. Just then he said something about who he should go with if she was going with Adam. It was her turn to pout. "Hugo Davies Munger! Don't make fun like that!" she said, slapping him upside the head then laughing herself.

Dropping her hand, Kiyarah hugged her brother-like best friend tightly. "You are without a doubt one of the hottest guys I know. If you can't get a date to the ball, then those girls in this damn school are crazy. Sorry, daddy. Didn't mean to say damn about this school," she said, quickly turning to smile apologetically to her father, who looked at her with a playfully hurt expression. All her life since living with the Chairman, he had always acted like she was a little girl. She was grateful for this, seeing as her own childhood was crap. Turning to look at Hugo again, she gave him a quick squeeze before letting go. "You should try asking someone. There is bound to be one girl that will say yes to you. And if that doesn't help, start flirting," she continued, giggling lightly. The thought of Hugo flirting was pretty hard to imagine. The guy was so mysterious and so isolated sometimes thanks to his thirst. "What about asking someone from the pack? I'm sure one of them would like to go with you. Unless they hate that you're part vampire," she suggested. There was a possible chance this could happen.

"Besides, what makes you think I would go to the ball with you? It would feel awkward because you're like an older brother to me. Even though you sort of are already," she added hastily, crossing her arms over her chest loosely, a pout on her lips again. A giggle and then she finally relaxed. "What would you prefer to do today? Stay here with daddy? Or go back to class?" she asked, turning to look at her father with begging eyes. The man let out a sigh and put on his reading glasses without saying a word. In other words, that was a yes. Smiling successfully, Kiyarah turned to look back at Hugo, awaiting his response. I haven't spent that much time with him this school year ever since given the Prefect position. It would be nice to have some quality time with my older brother.

Keith Zachary Reynolds 's current mood : { awkward }

Even out in the hallways Keith could feel staring at him as he passed. And whenever he did have the chance to look at the passing students, all he saw were girls staring at Lyrine with an almost death glare. What is up with the girls here in this school? I'm not even that good looking. he thought to himself, shouldering Lyrine's bag as they continued down the hall towards the girl's second period class. Just then she had thanked him for carrying her bag. It's not even that heavy. he thought but he smiled down at her all the same. "It's alright, Miss Colt. I'm here to make sure that you become associated with this school. You're pretty lucky to be a new student here. When I started at this school, I got lost on the first day," he said with a reminising smirk on his lips. His eyes turned up to the ceiling, thinking back to his little freshman days when he would get lost heading to class. Those days, he had remembered being scared to death just trying to get directions. Now, he's the one being asked where this was or where that place was. And yet, he's still nervous, resulting him in just pointing towards the direction the person was looking for when he wasn't stuttering the directions out. Again, another reason why he was using this year to work on his shyness. Lyrine's voice popped into his thoughts, causing him to snap back to reality to listen to what she had to say.

Just as instantly, he had wished that he hadn't snapped out of his thoughts. The things that Lyrine were saying were really uncomfortable to hear. However flattering they were, he wasn't into hearing those kind of things. Especially from pretty girls like the one beside him. Wait, beside him? Keith looked down at Lyrine, wondering when she had come to walk beside him instead of in front of him. He blushed a small shade of pink at how close the girl was. But he cleared his throat, turning his gaze forward so as to not let her see him blsuhing. "You are correct. I'm here on scholarship. I didn't know that I would be in the school manual for new students. Ah well, the Chairman must have changed it up a bit to make it more helpful," he responded, keeping his voice level and professional. He decided to skip her compliment about his eyes. He was already embarrassed that he had to wear his contacts as it is. Mental note. Once I get to the dorm, I'm rading my room for those damn glasses. Running a hand through his hair once, Keith turned a right, making sure that Lyrine did the same thing.

It was then that she asked if he was going to the ball. This made Keith feel even more awkward about being with this girl. He had already had a whole bunch of girls ask him to the ball. Of course he rejected all of them nicely. I hope she's not asking me. Because earlier I had the feeling she was hitting on me. he thought, clearing his throat as he fixed the tie around his neck. It was time he told the others girls what he had said. "I will be attending the ball, but only to make sure that the Day Class does not do anything embarrassing in front of the Night Class. These events are the few times the students of Day and Night Class get to spend some time together," he said then stopped at a door. "Ah. Here we are. I'll come back once the bell rings. If you have any questions, here's my cellphone number." He took out a piece of paper from his bag, as well as a pen. He wrote down his number, and then put his initial signature at the bottom to show that it was from him. He placed it in Lyrine's hand. "If you have a phone near by, give me a call. Just tell the teacher and show him or her this paper and they'll let you call me. I'll see you later. Enjoy English," he said. Giving her a small and quick wave, Keith turned and started running towards the stairs. His next class was AP Physics, and he really didn't want to be late for that class. The teacher scared the living crap out of him when he was mad.

With a minute left, Keith slipped into the classroom and ran right to his desk, ignoring the stares he recieved as he walked in. Even though he had a pass to be tardy because of his duties today, he still hated being late. Taking out his things, the bell rang for the beginning of class. The teacher shut the door, looking at all his students. When he reached Keith, he had the same look Keith's English teacher had. As if he was trying to figure out what was so different about him. The class president let out a sigh and opened his composition notebook to a blank page.

...today Farah is {reeling}.

As the Prefect made her way from feeling righteous, to guilty, to alarmed, and around in circles again, Farah wondered in a haze. Did Kiyarah know what had just happened? Farah wasn't even certain she understood what had. It was as if a brick wall had fallen on her chest. She hadn't been able to breathe, or really even hear what she was saying aloud. It was as if she'd left her body for a moment to give it a break from the strain it had been put through. I haven't slept in three days. I haven't eaten properly in five. And this girl thinks that I'm cowering before her because I might get a detention. Farah didn't think she'd laughed out loud. She didn't think she remembered how to do much.

Without any struggle at all, she allowed Pearll to guide her to the library, and skip her geography class. Clearly, someone is taking advantage of the fact that I am partially catatonic. Pearl knows better than this. It was difficult to be clear about how much Farah loved the members of her pack. Pearll didn't know it but she was presently easing Farah out of an intense anxiety attack. It had been painful, and taken total control of the young Alpha of this abbreviated pack. It created a huge sense of disappointment in herself to know that she was so weak.

"Farah, what are you doing at the entrance? You wanna join me? Traveling is very interesting, you know." Farah smiled weakly. "Pearll, thank you for looking after me. Would you mind, terribly, escorting me to the chancellor's office? I'd like to ask him if I might be excused from the days classes. I'm feeling under the weather and I'm not sure that the infirmary staff would understand." She stood, waiting for her pack member to join her. Farah had never been comfortable in the idea that medical professionals would be privy to the knowledge that her core temperature was a balmy 108 degrees. It also wouldn't hurt that if Pearll was with her it would seem less like Pearll had just been cutting classes and more like she was serving her pack.

Farah waited at the door expectantly, and sighed heavily at the idea of betraying weakness before pushing it open and shaking her disheveled hair back into some semblance of tidiness as she walked outside.

{mood=excited}♥ Lyrine.{/mood}

User Image Miss Colt? God, he was so formal. Lyrine shrugged and said: “Just call me Lyrine or something.” Now Lyrine was starting to feel awkward, too. Like it was contagious to be stiff. Why didn’t Keith’s smile reach his eyes? It was like he only pulled up his mouth unwillingly, but didn’t really smile. Lyrine found herself thinking she wanted to change that. How much fun did Keith ever have? Did he even smile genuinely? She wanted him to laugh; she hadn’t seen him laugh yet. She bet it’d look adorable. They turned to the right, and Lyrine thought: he obviously knows his way around well. When they finally got to the English class, Keith paused to give her his number and then left. ”Bye… See you later!” Lyrine called after him. Because now she knew he was in the library during breaks.

If she had a phone? As if Lyrine would go anywhere without it. She’d slid it in the pocket of her skirt this morning. Lyrine rolled her eyes as she entered her classroom. ”Good morning!” Lyrine said a bit cheerily. The teacher gave her a smile, and Lyrine returned it, but continued past. She took a seat near the back. Normally, she liked English and sat near the front. It was one of the few classes that made sense. After all, it was her language. How hard could that be? But this time, she was slightly pre-occupied with her thoughts. As the teacher started her lecture on medieval plays, Lyrine slipped out her phone and hid it behind her binder. The paper Keith had given her was still in her hand. His writing was neat, and Lyrine saved his number in her phone. She didn’t think he’d text much, so she didn’t bother sending him anything. Not yet, anyway. She put her phone back before she got caught. The school was big on rules. The paper with Keith’s signature went in her backpack.

From his tone of voice, it had seemed he wouldn’t do much dancing at the Ball. More like watch over everyone. Lyrine wondered if she should try to change that. He didn’t flirt much, and he probably would turn her down if Lyrine asked him to go with her. ’Maybe I could ambush him at the dance and ask him to a song.’ Right. And get rejected by him. She sighed; it seemed hopeless. Maybe she should see who else is going. Lyrine looked around the classroom, but then dropped it. Everybody’s heads were turned down, copying notes. Considering all the math homework she had, she shouldn’t even be going at all. She should stay at her dorm and study…’And miss seeing the Night Class? Hadn’t Keith said this was a rare event to get the classes to mingle. And judging from Star, the Night Class was really something to look forward to. Absently, Lyrine began to doodle a sketch for a ball gown. It was something she was really good at, since she wanted to be a designer when she grew up. As she drew the first few lines, she began to get engrossed in her work. Her head stayed bent over the notebook, her curls surrounding it like a veil. Lyrine started labeling fabrics with symbols. Taffeta shoulders, organza bodice, chiffon, tulle crinoline. An observer would think she found the lecture extremely important.

When she was finally done with it, she leaned back and exhaled. It looked gorgeous. As a matter of fact, it was the best she’d ever done with a piece of clothing. She nodded, satisfied. Lyrine’s eyes brightened. She had art next period, and her teacher was always telling them to show her their works. Maybe she could get permission to work on this if the teacher found it appealing enough! If she worked on it hard enough, she could get it finished in time to wear it to the Halloween Ball! But was that allowed in the school? ‘Maybe I should ask Keith. I do have his number, and he is class president. But then the teacher squeaked her chalk against the board, and Lyrine sat up straighter. She didn’t want to bother him. And she could wait until their break to talk to him. She was so excited about the dress, she forgot all about the fact that she still didn’t have a date.

[ Announcement ]

Hello hello hello!

I seem to be doing announcements a lot lately.
Almost everyday.
Anyway, some of this stuff is pretty important.

Let's start with the major timeskip. I have said yesterday that the timeskip will begin today. And it will. I've scheduled it for 6:30PM Pacific time. So if you have any business that needs taken care of in the plot, better do it soon so that I can change the time setting. I'm hoping that the timeskip will enhance some inspiration as to what has happened with your characters and I can't wait to see some good posts.

Okay so moving on to some other business. With the idea of the werewolves vs. vampires athletic competition, I've only recieved two pms saying that it was an okay idea. I still need all others to tell me their thoughts.
I also want thoughts about the ball idea, even though I'm going to enforce it.

Lastly, I'm sort of desperate for members to play the last two open male spots. I want to start the ball soon, but with there being an uneven amount of gender characters that is going to be hard. So, if possible, could some of you maybe find someone that is literate enough to join and play one of the characters? Or if that doesn't work, can someone try doubling like I have done?
There's five females and only three males in this roleplay. I don't know how this roleplay could continue without all the characters, especially in the relationship field. So yeah, help a girl out?

Alright, please remember that the timeskip will be today. And post so that it synchs with the setting. Later guys.

Note ~ Please don't respond to this below. If you have any questions, feel free to pm me.
