((Seriously? It's such a beautiful instrument! It makes such a pretty sound and it's so fluid. :> Haha. I admire anyone who can play it well. I once got to see one up close being played. It was so amazing. D: I want to be able to play it haha...especially one of those HUGE ones. It really is an under appreciated instrument. : ))
Abel felt so calm as he pricked the chords, head tilting to the side slightly as if in deep thought. The warmth in his body increased as his fingers started to get faster into the song, moving with a speed that seemed impossible. He hadn't even noticed the music in the other room stop. His breathing had stopped a few minutes ago, as if the music was breathing for him.
It was only when Talen came in and yelled to him that he stopped abruptly, eyes blinking open, the reality of where he was came crashing down on him again. His blue eyes where glowing in the dark closet as he looked over to Talen, a strange faint glow surrounding his body. As his mind came back down to earth the glow of both his aura and his eyes disappeared. "Huh..." He paused and ran a hand along the curve of the large harp.
"The harp is such a magnificent piece of art..." he whispered, strumming some chords with his pale fingers. "It's music is so calming. Just sitting with it makes me feel like I'm home again. And whoever this Martha Stewart is...obviously doesn't know just how amazing the harp can be if you play it right. It's just no one ever bothers to try, so no one understands how beautiful it is. I've had a lot of years to get to understand it better. Passes the time." A smile came onto his face. For a moment he seemed lost and then blinked himself out of it and carefully set the harp up right, off of his shoulder.
"You played the piano very well by the way. You looked so..." His eyes moved to the side, "so happy." His smile dimmed and he began to stand up. "Maybe we can find you a piano of your own, so you can be happy more often." A second passed and his eyes widened. "Oh, not that you aren't happy! I mean...just that...I guess I just never saw you so in place...yeah." He shrugged and looked past Talen. "Is class over? I must have been so out of it that I didn't notice, I'm sorry."

((Hahaha, it is kewl to know an instrumentssss... indeedly dum dum.))
Talen watched Abel talk curiously and titled his head. "Alright, alright. I'll lay off the sissy instrument. Don't gotta get all bent outta shape about it, huh?" He smiled. "Either way you played it pretty kick a**, hardcore, head banging solid snake.
((hahahahahaha, I just made that up. Don't tell anyone.))
"That is to say... It was really very lovely." He said mimicking Abel's way of speaking which somehow became a terrible british accent. He extended his pinky. "You know... for a sissy, prissy, pretty pretty princess instrument." Talen drew him out of the closet. "And you know... don't act like I don't appreciate it... I'm really VERY cultured, you see... because I happen to know without a harp, my friend," He touched Abel lightly on the shoulder, "there IS no piano. A piano is a harp on it's side in a coffin that gets beaten with mallets.... yep. That's why the piano is still considered cool... because it's almost SO badass, it's metal."
((hahaha, and that's why the piano is more badass than the harp... you know. not like METAL, but like metal like the music genre...hahahha, in case you didn't... nevermind.)))
At Abel's remark about him being "happy" while playing the piano he raised his eyebrows. "Uh huh?" He said with a broad grin. "Well. You know. I said it was my bag, didn't I? Not just the piano... I play more than just that, so don't you worry you're poodle haircuted head over buying me nothing too expensive, huh?... but yeah... It makes me feel right, if you know what I mean... and stop APOLOGIZING. Ha! How were you supposed to know? You were back there being all... Glowy. How 'bout some lunch? It's on me."
((OKAY DONE.))

Abel smirked as Talen tried to mimic him and Abel shook his head. "I don't speak like that. Honestly, you could at least attempt a better impersonation. I feel slightly offended" He said with obviously amusement and walked towards Talen, drifting away from the harp. "Also, none of what you just said made any sense what-so-ever. Hardcore...head banging...solid...you sound so strange. Perhaps I'm just not used to it." Abel chuckled a bit as Talen pulled him out of the closet, continuing to talk about piano. ((Hahahahahaha. Oh dear...is that some subconscious sign? Out of the closet. ;D))
When they came out, Abel nodded slowly to Talen's remark. "What...poodle hair?" He made a face and pushed a hand down onto his blonde curls. "I don't look like a poodle do I?" He furrowed his brows and licked his lips a bit, looking a bit conscious. "Then again, I suppose poodles are very smart canines, so I can take that as a compliment." With his spirits raised again he blinked at the mention of lunch.
"Lunch? I'm not awfully hungry." He said, putting a hand to his stomach. It was only then he remembered he wasn't breathing. He looked taken back for a minute until his lungs opened and some air escaped into them. It wasn't too noticeable for anyone who hadn't been paying attention to his breathing pattern. "If you're hungry, we can get lunch. Oh...I should have made some! I was too busy cooking breakfast to even think twice upon that notion." He frowned again and sighed heavily. "I'm sorry..."
"Oh...I mean...goodness. I'm sorry for apologizing so much!" Except he had just apologized for apologizing which was pretty much the extreme to all apologies.
((Let's see how many apologies he can fit into one sentence!))

((OH YEAH. POSTING. I REMEMBER NOW.))
"Do you have to ASK if I'm hungry? I'm ALWAYS hungry." Talen replied and then just shook his head slowly. "I don't know what I'll do with you, Abel. Seriously... I just do NOT know." He shook him lightly. "But don't worry, kid, I'll take you under my wing. So, don't you worry one little bit."
And with that he grabbed his stuff and followed the flow of students.

"How can you always be hungry?" Abel said, looking somewhat shocked at the other boy's statement. He looked to his side to see the students all leaving the classroom, some glancing their way. "Hey...I'm not a kid." He protested, giving a slight pout as Talen went to grab his things. "You'd be surprised just how old I am." It was true, he was definitely older than his appearance and attitude let on. You didn't grow older when you died, you simply staked up on your age.
When Talen started to walk away, Abel jumped a bit and followed after him. "So do ALL of these people eat at the same time? Seems like an awful lot of people in one place. My school was probably half the size of these, maybe even less." He winced as someone pushed him slightly, a sudden wave of heat rushing into his body. "Sorry..." he muttered. The person who bumped into him turned around for a minute. Abel's eyes met the girl's. They flashed a bright ruby red for just a second, then turned into a light emerald green that looked eerie against her dark skin.
She narrowed her eyes and turned around, pixie cut sandy brown hair sifting against her dark neck. Abel watched her disappear into the crowd, her petite frame easily withdrawing from sight. Abel blinked for a minute and hurried after Talen. He wasn't sure what that was, but it was definitely not normal.
"Did you see that?" He asked quietly, slipping in step with his friend. "I could have sworn she..." Stopping he shook his head and smiled. "Never mind. It's not that important anyways."

((I'MMA DO IT. I'MMA POST LIKE... YEAH.))
"Uh huh. Yeah, well I've lived in this time longer than you have. In that respect? I'm older than you." Talen flashed Abel a grin and then laughed. "You'll get over it."
"No. We have different bell schedules to who eats when... geesh, eating in there with just a small group is crowded enough, and by last lunch the fries tend to be gone. Sucks." He said, sliding his hands in his pockets.
He paused somewhere by the cafeteria entrance when he realized he was leaving Abel behind. "Where'd you... ah." He said as he saw Abel making his way towards him. "See what?" He squinted and furrowed his eyebrows. "She...?" He waggled his eyebrows. "Can ange-... hm... you... people... even check out girls?" Talen joked and led the way in.
Once in Talen found a table off by the windows and sat Abel down on a chair. "You just wait here and I'll get some food, alright? Don't move... this place is a jungle, you know?" He gave Abel a small salute and weaved off through the crowd towards the lines.
But Abel wasn't along for very long. Slyly a familiar face eased himself into a seat across from Abel. Cain smirked with his bright teeth and eerie eyes.
"Hey, princess. Missed me?" He propped his feet up on the table. "Where's your body guard? He didn't leave a little sheep like you alone, did he?" He leered, and then laughed unkindly. He glanced around as though he might spot the odd head of hair that was Talen. "Or did he ditch you?"

((I suppose I'll post really quick before bed, so you have something to play with tomorrow while I'm at school...))
Abel blushed and frowned. "What are you saying? I wasn't...checking her out. She was looking at me like she wanted to kill me." He followed Talen over to a table and sat down quietly as Talen said to wait there. "Alright. Be careful! These people seem awfully pushy!" he called to him as the other boy disappeared.
As he sat alone, Abel looked out the window, watching some more birds fly in the sky. His blue eyes lowered to the trees were a squirrel flicked its tail and nibbled on a nut. Something in the air grew heavy and he moved his gaze from the window to see Cain getting closer by the second. Abel's face grew grim and he shifted slightly in his seat, placing his hands on his lap.
When Cain sat across from him, Abel looked up. His stomach grew cold as he glanced into Cain's icy eyes. Swallowing slightly he couldn't help but look to the side, trying to find Abel somewhere. "Ummmm..." He looked back to Cain, though not in the eyes, and shook his head. "He went to get lunch. I'm sure he'll be back soon." An uneasy smile made itself known on his lips and he fiddled with his fingers quietly, feeling himself grow sick from the atmosphere surrounding Cain. He was getting sick, not metaphorically, but literally. The knots in his stomach tightened and he felt light headed. "Oh my..." he muttered and leaned forward, pushing his hand against his forehead.
"Maybe you should go look for him..." Abel suggested, hoping it'd get Cain to leave, and maybe lighten the overwhelming feeling of nausea. When he looked to the side he saw the girl from before, sitting by herself, her lips moving as a pen slipped across paper. His brows quirked but then he felt his stomach kick and he leaned forward more. "You should go find him..." he groaned, moving his hand from his forehead to his stomach, skin getting more pale than before.
((Haha Cain makes him SICK. In both kinds of ways. xD ))

((Sorry I didn't post afore I left... but I ran into some issues. They sucked.
They were sucky issues.
ON THAT NOTE. Fun times D:< I can feel them.))
Cain watched the blonde before him squirm and leaned forward with him as he leaned forward. He peered at him with his face flat on the table. "You gonna be alright there, trooper?" His teeth gleamed with his smirk. Sitting up he spread his hands out on the table and laughed at Abel's hunched over posture. "Am I just too much for you? Is that it? Talen should know better than to leave you on your own."
There was a way he said that last phrase that sounded more like a threat than anything. There was a way he suddenly clenched his teeth and his eyes gleamed that made him seem dangerous.
It was then Talen returned with two trays. He was eyeing Cain as he slid into the table, his eyes untrusting, but Cain seemed to uncoil like a snake, his smile friendlier, kinder.
"You're f*****t friend here looks a little sick." Cain remarked.
Talen shot him a look. "Call him that ONE more time." He said deadly quiet. It was obvious Cain knew not take Talen lightly, and many others had soon learned their lesson when setting off his temper. He had a scar from such instances, a little crescent shape below his eye and there had been times he had broken his hand, but nothing was nearly as bad as what he did to the other guy.
Cain had never been one of them. He didn't intend to be. That and he needed Talen. Talen knew that too.
Cain raised his hands and sat back; a sign of benin surrender. "Cross my heart I won't do it again." And he traced a hand over the left side of his chest. "Scout's honor, huh?"
Talen watched him a moment longer and put a hand to Abel's back. "You gonna be alright?" He wanted to know.
Cain rolled his eyes very slightly. "Hey. I need to talk to you about tonight. Leave him here. He's a big boy."
Talen didn't look at Cain. "I brought you some lunch if you still want it." And he smiled slightly but then stood up. "I promise I'll be right back."
Cain smirked at Abel. "Mommy and daddy are going to talk a bit." And he followed after Talen. The way the flow of students flinched away or bent to move around them preceded Cain's obvious reputation for someone who was not be messed with. They both vanished out a back door that led to an area by the school's dumpseters.
((OKAY. Next post he will definitely be back... or... I'll see what you do with Abel biggrin OKAY.))

Abel shut his eyes as his shoulders pushed together, bending his head away from Cain when he tried to look at Abel. One hand moved to his mouth and his brows furrowed again, trying so hard not to find somewhere to vomit. Whenever Cain spoke he felt his stomach twist harder and it was all he could do not to run. Despite his anxiety and sickness, there was somewhere inside him that wanted to punch the guy in the face so badly. Never had he experience such a feeling after leaving his life behind.
When Talen came over a wave of relief swelled over him, some of the sickness abiding, or enough for him to let go of his mouth and swallow the pool of spit that had drained around his tongue. His darkened eyes looked up to Talen, noticing the way Cain suddenly changed appearance. Abel's eyes flashed a bit at how two-faced he was before looking away towards the window, exhaling a breath he had been holding for nearly five minutes.
"Yeah...just...a head ache." He said, dropping his gaze to the food in front of him. He absolutely was no longer hungry. As Talen began to leave Abel snatched his wrist, letting Cain get a bit further away. "Watch yourself around him..." His voice was deadly serious and he let go, looking back down to the food as Talen walked away. Tentatively he picked up a fork of what looked like chicken, studied it, and put it in his mouth, knowing he had to eat something.
After swallowing, his stomach churned, bile rose in his throat, and he ran towards the closest trash can. His moves were so swift that it looked as if he had slid towards it. The minute he leaned over, he felt the vomit lurch from his stomach and escaping into the trash can.
((Ewwwwww... I don't think angels' stomachs are made to digest school food. Hahaha.))

Talen half smiled at Abel in that carefree way as he trailed after Cain. "No worries, Abel. I got this." He patted the angel's hand lightly and was gone.
As soon as the pair had stepped outside Cain reached into the back pocket of his jeans and tugged out a cigarette. He was the only one fool hardy enough to smoke so openly on school grounds, and perhaps he did it just for that reason, it made it obvious just what kind of person he was. Or maybe he just didn't care.
"Want one?" Cain asked as he lit up.
Talen shook his head and leaned against the dumpster. It was cool on his back and the flash of anger he had felt moments before fizzled out. "Naw." He said.
"You never want one." Cain said with a sideways smile, breathing smoke from his nose.
"Stuff screws up my lungs. I get a cough like no one's business." He replied and shrugged. "What about tonight? What kind of job is it?"
Cain laughed a little. "Straight to business with you, isn't it?" Smoke twisted from his easy smile. "It's going to be on Vine, tonight... white house and green shutters. They got an old alarm system. It'll be easy pickings."
"What are we after? A television... dvd player?" Talen was looking off distantly, maybe pretending he wasn't there at all.
"Saul says they are up to their assholes in jewels. Old pieces, fine cut, straight up ice." Cain smirked. "You might get the whole week off if you can help me pull this off... and I'll need you."
Talen's eyes didn't move from the horizon. "I know."
"You'll do it?"
"What time do we meet. Where."
"Don't go home. Meet up with me when it gets dark. We'll meet where we usually do. Saul says they go out the town in the evening, so it'll be all clear. Like I said... easy pickings and we'll make a killing."
Talen nodded slowly. "Tonight then." He said, his voice sounding as far away as he looked.
"And you'll ditch the blondie, right?"
Talen seemed to come to for the first time during their whole conversation. "I'll lose him and you won't mess with him anymore."
Cain raised his hands, cigarette dangling from the corner of his mouth. "He stays out of my business and I won't touch a hair on his head."
Talen watched Cain carefully then left him alone by the dumpsters to finish his cigarette. He smiled after him crookedly and looked into the same distance.
When Talen found Abel again he frowned. "... Ew, man. That musta been one helluva headache."
((OKAY. SERIUS BIDDNESS. Yeah.))

Abel felt his fingers trembling as he gripped the trashcan. After having emptied his stomach, he felt significantly better, but the feeling of dread stuck in his stomach. There was something picking at him, yet he couldn't figure it out. Of course there was Cain, but something else made him anxious and worried, as if someone or something were falling upon him. His eyes opened when he heard Talen.
"Oh..." He straightened up and put the back of his hand to his mouth, rubbing it. "I'm...I feel better. That chicken didn't taste like chicken, hardly." He took a shaky breath and looked outside, where Cain stood smoking. As he watched the other boy, his eyes grew dark, and he grew slightly tense. Thinking of Talen even hanging around Cain worried him. Something told him that Cain was part of the problems he had to help Talen with. "Is everything okay?" His blue eyes moved back to Talen, brows raising in curiosity.
"I know it might seem...intrusive...and I don't want to be a burden, but I'm not sure why you talk to him. He really doesn't seem the type to enjoy any sort of company. I've seen a lot of people like him...they all are the same. People always have a good side, but his type never try to attempt to find it and I-" He cut off and shook his head. "Sorry...I might just be making a big deal out of nothing. I'm just worried..."

((THAT BIZNITCH. WE SHOULD KILL HER D:<< or maybe not.))
Talen pat Abel on the back, worried behind his smile. "What's Cain matter... dude, you were just throwing up." He helped right him a little. "I can take care of myself, alright?" And he looked at him more seriously. "I don't want you talking to me about Cain. Alright, Abel?" He asked of him firmly. "You just let ME handle him. It's my business, and you're right, it IS intrusive to ask, so let it alone, alright? We're friends, but that's just something you CAN NOT talk to me about."
He then eased up and laughed. "And I don't think that WAS chicken, Abel." He added on. "Let me at least eat a little before we head out, okay?" And he led his way back to the table in which he devoured both trays of food effortlessly, and swiped some freshman's dessert.
"Alright!" He said. "To next class!" And he looked terribly excited, only he didn't.

Abel looked down a bit and rubbed his mouth again. The way Talen had spoken to him made him a little upset, even though he knew it wasn't right to just try to fix things in someone's life with just a snap of his fingers. "Alright..." He whispered quietly and walked with Talen back to the table. While the boy was eating, his gaze stayed on the window.
When Talen finished, Able looked back to him and smiled weakly. "Right. What's your next class anyways?"
---
By the end of the school day Abel had met a lot of new people. Most of them girls who had come up to him and asked him his name, where he was from, the normal questions to ask the cute new kid. Abel stumbled over some, such as why he had come here, what he was doing with a kid like Talen, and more. Abel enjoyed the positive attention, though he didn't enjoy the glares he kept getting from some guys. He could sense an atmosphere of jealousy in them.
When the last bell rang for school to let out, Abel walked with Talen through the bustling crowd of student, rushing to get out of the school. Abel still felt startled over the earlier happenings, the uneasiness between them never quite going away. Abel wouldn't say anything, knowing Talen didn't want to talk about it.
"I hope Alice had fun by herself. I feel like she really deserves some more time to herself. Not just being alone, but you know, ENJOYING herself. She seemed kind of..." He paused and shook his head. "Sorry. Never mind. Ummm...you don't work today do you? If you do I think it'd be interesting to go with you." His smile brightened slightly, as if to coax Talen into letting him tag along some more. He had promised Alice he'd watch out for Talen...and watching out for him wasn't parting ways right before what Alice was actually worried about took place.
"I mean...I know I've gotten in your way a lot today. So I guess I can understand if you'd want me to just go back home." His brows quirked in a concentrated manner as he looked to his hands. Everyone's own auras rushing past him, their emotions touching his mind ever so briefly before the person got out of sensing range. He still was getting used to it.
His eyes then caught the girl from before, her light auburn hair bobbing amongst the crowd. "Talen! It's her!" He pointed out. The girl looked over at them, a scowl crossing her once placid face before she started walking away from them. "We have to get her, I feel like she has something of mine!" He shifted his weight anxiously and without thinking about pulling Talen with him, started to chase after her.
((Haha, oh Abel, you're such a beast! Let the women come to YOU. She's playing hard to get.))

((HUZZAAAAAH. POST POST POST POST.... then I have the rest of the day to be a bum.... *wonders what she'll do today* OH THE FREEDOM. IT'S GLORIOUS.))
"Alice? I'm sure she sat around and watched television." Talen said with a little laugh. "She doesn't get many day's off work." He rubbed at the back of his neck when Abel continued to talk about her. His dark eyes seemed over-bright briefly, but he just shook his head and they were normal again. "She's a trooper." He said to finish it.
"Yeah." He said too quickly. "I work today..." And he paused as Abel babbled on that he would like to go with him. The answer was already written on Talen's face from the way he frowned and the stern look in his eyes.
"You didn't get in my way," Talen made sure to put in, ",but you can't come... boss doesn't like friends tagging along." And that was the only part of the lie that was really true. "He'd have a fit for sure. You don't want me to get-... where are you... going..." He trailed off, watching the blonde sprint away after some...
"HEY! It's that chick!" He said and bolted after him. "Abel! I mean, she's cute and all, but I think chasing girls to let them know you like them wore off in primary school!" He called after his heels.
((... LOL. I want boys to chase me :9 BABY.))
