un_cared_for Electric Snowball un_cared_for Electric Snowball Well, I've never met a wizard-in-training before. Hi. Nice to meet you. smile Well reading your OP I think I should tell you that Witches are indeed real. There are many different kinds. What do you define as a Witch? Maybe not someone who practices magic, or however you spell it, necessarily, but someone who lives in a sort of harmony with the earth and worships a deity that is both male and female, a mother Goddess and father God. I consider myself not quite an eclectic witch, because I am still looking for an answer. What you describe sounds like the neo-pagan definitions of Wicca you can find in local bookstores in the "new age" sections. Well, since all that is oathbound, I've not been able to find much else of worth.

Whassup, my magical (or not, in some cases) friends?
Noah here. Bit of info about me, eh? Got invited here, seemed interesting, decided to join.
Got into Witchcraft at an early age, then dropped it for a number of years. I picked it back up fairly recently (as in near the beginning of '08 ) after a few classes with a Witch who I have now determined to be "fluffy bunny" in a sense. Claimed to be Wiccan, yet was never initiated, never knew anything about it. He had the basics, what you could find in a bookstore, but otherwise was mislabeling eclecticism as Wicca.
I am an Eclectic Experimental Pagan Witch. I honor any and all deities of any and all religions to an extent. I worship none of them. This is the eclectic part. The experimental part is that I try to find what works in everything and if there is something that I think has the possibility of being done (and even some things I don't), I will try it or at least theorize about it.
My "Craft Name" is Sail Argentum (Sail being pronounced SOL-yeh; Gaelic). It is a mix of Gaelic and Latin and is meant to mean Silver Willow. I chose the title (as it is more of a title than a name to me) because I am drawn to both Silver and the Willow tree.
Fairly lengthy info post, but eh. I've nothing else to do at the moment. If there's any other info anyone wants about me, all there is is to ask.
A solitary witch can initiate themselves... In any account, welome to the clan!

Taylor. I have no craft name, as I can not determin how to make one, or what might suit me. To be honest I think it's some what silly. But oh well. I'm sixteen.
Currently attempting to perfect my craft and what to practise. I curently cocider myself pagan, as I have yet to see what really suit me. I consider myself a sort of blend. I believe in the chakras of hindi mythos. I semi sense auras, there's people I just want to wrap myself around because of their aura, others I try my best to stay away. Some are just... there and bairly effect me.
I wear black most of the time, and consider myself a preppy goth. In the non-conformist, non-slavetocorperationslikecocacola, in music taste, and in dress. I'm not a face to face person, so it can ward off some people at first glance. Favourite band or group or whatever you want to call it is Strawberry switchblad, indi band I like is b*****d faries, and a soloist I like is Tarja Turunen.
I want to help with agrigulture to help it be more greener and in tune with nature, while being cost effective. Similar to being an herbologist, and to get herbal remidies more out there. Like, I'm going to get onto saint johns wart (for obviuse reasons) and I don't like the current drugs being offerd. Too many negative side effects for my tastes.
I'm currently in Canada. Lovely, eh?

Well, since I'm new maybe I should do this, huh? blaugh
umm, just call me Ryu, 'm not prone to going under any other name online. Female and I'm a Celtic Reconstructionist....though brand new so take anything I say 'bout it with a grain of salt. Still learning after all. Suffice to say I live somewhere rather cold right now in the midwest.
Mythology and folklore will get me hook, line, and sinker, so hello!

I'm Delequen. You can call me by that name (soul name) or my current name Artemis (either or). I'm a solitary eclectic wiccan (for the elitists who say I'm not wiccan unless I follow gardner, shove it up your a**. He based his wicca off of what was taught by the coven that initiated him so the religion IS older than him, and it's NOT only 50+ years old. Bite me.)...sorry bout that...Anyways!
I've been a solitary eclectic wiccan for a couple months now...almost 5 at the time of this post. Though I'd been studying witchcraft for a couple years before that. I'd been studying psionics, energy manipulation, astral projection, telepathy, for almost 8 years now. I'm a nocturnal witch, but I also read what I can on the Kabala, Golden Dawn, Kundalini, Reiki, etc. I've read up on many religions including Neo-Paganism, Wicca, Theistic Satanist. I grew up in a mormon church...I'd been trying to get out of it since I was 13. I'm 17 now, finally just told the pastor and my mother I'm agnostic, but that's because I'm not ready to tell her I'm a wiccan. I need to wait until I leave her house. I'm a witch by heart, I worship Dianna the moon Goddess as of now.
Also, I'd like to make something clear. I know some people may think that they're a warlock if they're a male who studies witchcraft (or maybe for some other reasons), but that is NOT what a warlock is. A warlock is basically craft-slang for "Traitor". Ask anybody who's been in the craft for a good while, they'll tell you. So if you say you're a warlock because you're a male that studies witchcraft, please don't label yourself as a traitor, you're a witch. Plain and simple I don't like to see people down themselves, and since the word carries that negative meaning, it's like black-labeling yourself. But that's it for now...have any questions to ask me let me know.
