"Your father can make fireworks?" Hm, then maybe he better make sure to stay on this girl's good side. Maybe he could use this closeness to this Kaelia character to get a fireworks show for Texas. Maybe just to cheer up his older brother a little. "Huh. Interesting talent." Magnus lacked a magical talent, and hearing everyone else's tended to annoy him, but he kept that part under wraps just so he could stay on her good side.

After stating that, he turned back to the sunset and fell silent. Didn't girls think it was romantic just sitting under a sunset and saying nothing or something stupid? Well, that was what Criofan suggested when Magnus asked. He was just going to go with the romance idea.

"Yeah, that's what he does. Maybe that's how I got a power that can make things glow. I don't know." She didn't know what her mother could do. After she lost her and then found her dad he didn't seem to want to talk about it much.

Kaelia watched the sun and the colors slowly began to melt away into darkness and stars. "Wonderful show!"

"Well, I'm glad you enjoyed it." He wasn't glad, really, but it did help him keep up the fake liking of her if she enjoyed what he let her see. "It's beautiful, isn't it? The best part is, the sunset is a daily event most people look over when really, when one looks carefully, is a part of the beauty of the world."

That sounded much more poetic than he expected it to be. The fae gave himself a mental pat on the back and offered a grin to Kaelia. "Hm. I don't have any abilities. I wonder what mine would be if the guardians would care to give me one?" It would probably have something to do with madness, he assumed...

Kaelia smiled. "Well, maybe you haven't needed it yet. I'm sure if will be something perfect for you." She didn't really know why powers happened. Her sister made her go to a cabin and drink something, but her sister didn't have to do that. It was all a bit odd really.

"Perhaps. Two of my siblings don't have theirs yet either, and I have to wonder why the Guardians gave the older half abilities and the younger half next to nothing." Magnus shrugged. He didn't particularly favor the Guardians--though he acknowledged them, he found them to be a bit of an unnecessary nuisance. What did they do, anyway?

But never mind that. "I hope I do get one eventually, and I hope that it's plenty fitting." He offered a brief chesire cat grin to Kaelia before his smile settled back into the formal one he had been giving her all afternoon, and now night. "It's good that you've gotten one so fitting." Bring the conversation back to her before she started asking too many questions, Magnus...

"I guess I don't know what they do either." Kaelia hadn't really thought about the guardian's much. She knew they granted powers and elderhood but that was about it. Maybe they were mysterious for a reason?

"Thanks. It was helpful." She nodded to him. Even if she got the power from the potion she thought maybe she had it before in the cave...just not able to truly use it until the potion.

Good, the topic was back off of him. Unfortunately, now he was lost on what to say next. ...Well, it was getting dark outside. Perhaps it was time to bring the date to a close, or at least go inside before it got hard to see.

"I think we should get the picnic basket back now," offered Magnus, with a charming chuckle. "Seeing how the sun is down beyond the horizon, we may want to head elsewhere." Whether together or alone he did not say. He would let Kaelia decide that, for now.

Kealia looked up at where the sun had gone down. It was now just blue and black with stars. Still pretty, but the fae was right. It was getting dark and unless she made things glow they wouldn't be able to see much with the lights of the sky. "Okay, sure." She stood up and went to head towards the picnic site.

Magnus didn't care one way or another about how pretty the stars were on a clear night like this. Sure, it wasn't a daily site, but he wasn't all that concerned with great balls of fire over a million light years away. It was interesting they could still see them from this far away, but that didn't necessarily make them any more interesting.

When they got back to the picnic site, Magnus quietly debated whether he should just shove it all into the basket or attempt to look more diligent and refined. While it was tempting to shove it all back into the picnic basket, he went ahead and decided to stack containers instead. That would put him in a better light, he supposed.

"Do you want any help? Since you did all this yourself I'd love to help you clean it up." She walked over to the blanket and began staking some of the dishes as well.

Did it all himself? Har, that was funny! Nevertheless, he would keep playing as so, even if it would annoy his older brother to some extent later on. Texas had to have been expecting it. "Oh, really? Why thank you, Kaelia." While it would be very gentleman-like to refuse the help, Magnus was greedy. If someone was offering to help him, he would break his gentleman facade to welcome their help.

"Could you fold up the blanket? I tend to fold rather sloppily." Magnus was almost too ready to accept the help. He hoped Kaelia wouldn't notice, but at the same time, he didn't care if she did so long as she was still enchanted.

"Okay, sure thing." Gladly Kaelia helped to fold up the blanket. In her happiness she made the blanket glow. She looked at it for a moment. It looked sorta pretty glowing there. "Would you like help to bring this home?" She wasn't' sure what was next on a date.

Oh crap. Texas was going to help him bring it home. If he accepted the invitation, Texas would be one to see through the facade almost immediately. Magnus couldn't let that happen. He either needed to find a way to avoid Texas all-together, or reject the invitation. Hm, this was actually a hard one. Keep charming the weird angelic demon or send her packing?

"My brother said he would help me," Magnus chuckled, "but help from a beautiful woman such as you is always more inviting." Looked like he picked keeping the angelic demonic around for just a little longer...

Kaelia smiled and nodded. "Okay, where do you live? I just live at the bar with my father for now. Or I might have told you that and you might have said where you live..." She didn't mean to forget if he had. She frowned slightly.

Texas would whine and complain later, but eh. In some ways, he was funny to leave him behind and let him figure out that Magnus had left without getting him from the Tiki bar. "Excellent." Magnus scooped up the picnic basket, just then noticing that the picnic blanket had been glowing.

So she could make any fibrous object glow; that was interesting. Too bad the Guardians wouldn't give him an interesting power. Sometimes, he swore they were all stupid gits. "I am not too far from here. We like to stay near the lake because two of my siblings are naiads. I believe if we begin walking that way," he pointed to the left and hoped he was right, "we will get to my abode."
