Belladonna, who had come out of her room at long last, walked silently to stand next to Adam. "How can that stupid doctor ever hope to win against our master?" she asked. She rolled her eyes. "Stupid humans."

~Fortune Nicholas hurried threw the town, severely spooked by the abnormal happening. And that was just the villager desertion - nothing could prepare him for what was yet to discover. The mercenary reached the steps of the mayor's home, out of breath, and slowly climbed his way to the front door. His hand closed around the handle to the door - and he made to open it - but the sound of shouting and weapons crashing reached his ears at that time. Slowly turning around, Nicholas was shocked to see - safely a good distance away from the mayor's home - a clash of the undead.

The bone golem smashed apart a large chunk of the zombie horde, but zombies began to latch on to it, finally bringing it down. The armes skeletons were losing ground, but by the looks of things, the skeletons would hold until morning. The super-zombies were quite tougher than the regular ones, faster too. The skeletons couldn't carry out the usual hack-and slash routine that had won them the day before, now they were raising their shields and slashing at their rotting enemies. The necromancer scowled and waved his arms, causing the zombies leading the charge to burn.
"You can't do that! that's cheating!" Gordon shouted to his opponent.
"all's fair in war!" Ulric crowed back, causing the doctor to grab something from his pocket and toss it into the skeleton lines.
"If all's fair, you won't mind this!" at least twelve skeletons exploded, "Hahahahahah! That's science for you! grenades! not magic at all!"
"Explosives?! Foul play!" Ulric shouted back, enraged.

Luna giggles, at how eager Lance was. She then hears that it was time, and Luna smiled, she quickly put her coffee away, since she had finished it. She forgot all about her blanket, but didn't care. She decided to follow Lance, who ended up at a fight. Luna's eyes widen, when she noticed that it was the men Adrian and Lance were talking about. Gordon..and Ulric.. Luna did a small giggle, laughing at how stupid the two men sounded. She then remained silent, sitting on a tree, getting a close view of the battle.

With a groan, Grey crawled out of bed, glancing around his small room. I should get a window in here, he muttered quietly, walking down the hall to peer out at the fight from a nearby opening. He wanted to see what was going on. It must be getting good if the sounds of the fight managed to slip through the earplugs he wore to bed every night. Gods how he hated loud noises. How interesting, he remarked quietly. I'm glad I got up. How could I have missed this every night? Oh yeah, I'm lazy... He stood at the window mesmerized by the fighting. This was way better than sleeping.

Bella laughed, "As am I, but at least we were wise enough to chose a path that leaves little room for death," she said with a smile. "In my opinion, as long as we have that going for us, we are above normal humans." Her voice was steady as she watched the battle raging below them. "There's no doubting that that fool of a doctor is insane. Someone should put him away."

(thank you.)
The zombies were now being pushed back.
"Ha! I have the upper hand!"
"Look again you pompous old windbag!" Gordon shouted back, as the newest wave of his zombies swung sledgehammers at the skeletons.
"Hey! I thought we agreed! no blunt objects!"
"Yes, but we also agreed not to interfere you rule-breaking cur!"
"Hey! I have a good reason for that!"
"Try me!"
"Erm... tomorrow..."
"Ha! you don't!" Dr. Gordon grinned and crossed his arms.
"You idiot! I control the dead! Your zombies have skeletons too!" The necromancer's hands glowed with arcane energies, then stopped, "What did you do to these corpses?!"
"I replaced the skeletons with a synthetic fiber substitute used in bone replacement. I just replaced everything."
"You've defiled the bodies!"
"What? as if we aren't doing that already?!"
"I came here to beat you, not talk philosophy doctor!"
"Well, if you don't like that... I recently read a journal by-"
"LA LA LA! NOT LISTENING!" The necromancer shouted, covering his ears.
"You immortal prat! I oughta... Wait I can!" The scientist drew his 9mm and fired at his opponent's ledge.
The necromancer lowered his arms, "That's it! You asked for it!" A bolt of lightning shot from his staff, beginning a shootout between the two while the armies obliviously fought.
(They're very respectable people... when they aren't together..."

Lilium sat on her haunches and watched the undead beat each other senseless (even more so then normal). A low growl escaped her throat. This had been her sole source of entertainment for many nights now considering that the villagers rarely went out at night anymore. She huffed then howled at the moon for no particular reason other then reminding the villagers of her existance.

Ulric was about to say something, then froze at the sound of the howl.
"Look! Did you hear something?!"
"What? that question makes no sense! you should be tested for insanity!"
"I was about to say the same to you! Who the heck wears a white labcoat everywhere? Is it the same one every day?!"
"Hey! I have many different lab coats! they only come in white! What about you? You always seem to wear something with a bit of flair, but then you cover yourself in a freaking cape! And it's all tattered! did you pick it up in a crypt?!"
"This cloak has mystical properties, the likes of which would make your tiny brain implode!"
"The brain won't implode unless there is a void in... hey!"

(in a horror movie, there is usually comic relief, to keep it from getting boring. Since this RP takes from all the black-and-white films, mixed with a bit of modern influence, you get two stereotypical 'villains' bickering with each other over territory... someone told me it would make a great movie. If I get a movie deal based on this story, I'll tell you all... and then we can nitpick at the actors that play our chars... mrgreen )

Grey leaned out the window a bit to see the action better. He wished he could hear what they were saying to each other, but his earplugs were still in, and he wasn't about to take them out. Ugh. Loud noises.

Adrian watched quietly from the window of the entryway, a rarely used room, due to the large amount of sunlight it caught, but not nearly as unused as the greenhouse....
He nodded at the sight of the two going at it again. It was rather funny. two forces that could place the entire town under their control fought each other, keeping the other from doing just that and attracting all the attention. At this point, everyone had forgotten about the Bachel Family and their old mansion. Adrian doubted the mayor even cared about what was next door.
---
At the scene of the battle, things were now getting even more intense than any other night. each 'player' was now 'cheating,' making the battle seem more ridiculous than ever. The doctor had managed to somehow get a cannon on his ledge, and was shooting at the skeletons, while the necromancer assaulted the zombies with a flury of elemental magic.
The entire battle was even though, but since this one was so intense, that meant the batt;es might be off tomorrow while they rebuild their armies.
